00:01:12.580 Well, ladies and gentlemen, welcome aboard today's edition of Human Events Daily, powered by Turning Point USA.
00:01:19.880 Today's top stories, truckers have now shut down the main bridge between Detroit and Canada with a new protest movement.
00:01:28.620 As a new front opens up in the fight for freedom against authoritarianism.
00:01:33.400 Next, President Macron of France has met with President Putin in Moscow to discuss the Ukraine situation.
00:01:40.440 We're going to get into it finally, Argentina officially has joined the CCP's Belt and Road Initiative.
00:01:46.380 And next, Dr. Jill Biden has admitted that her two free years plan of community college is DOA, dead on arrival.
00:01:55.480 All this more ahead, Human Events Daily.
00:01:56.660 We'll be right back.
00:02:26.660 Do you hear the people honk?
00:02:38.960 Yes, the honk is the new sound of freedom.
00:02:42.540 And of course, Prime Minister Trudeau is out there saying, oh, we can't allow Canadians to treat other Canadians this way.
00:02:49.580 And some judge out in Ottawa just put in a 10-day injunction over honking.
00:02:53.960 Though I've been told that it's still legal if you play a recording of a honk, that wouldn't actually count as honking.
00:03:02.460 So that may actually be still legal under the new injunction.
00:03:05.600 I'm just saying, I'm not advocating one way or the other.
00:03:08.300 Of course, honk.
00:03:09.000 But out of the Detroit Free Press, we've now got a new front that's opened up in the war for freedom, the fight for freedom against biofascist mandates in Canada.
00:03:20.020 The bridge to Canada in Detroit has closed as Canadian protesters block the trade routes.
00:03:27.020 An ongoing protest in Canada over COVID-19 mandates has spilled over into Detroit on Monday evening via the Ambassador Bridge.
00:03:35.120 And if you've been to Detroit, this is the main bridge that connects Detroit to Canada.
00:03:39.220 This is one of the main thoroughfares of all trade between the United States and Canada.
00:03:44.000 The protesters blocked traffic on the largest international suspension bridge and prevented motorists from passing with signs calling for an end to the Band-Aids.
00:03:51.940 The bridge to Canada in Detroit is closed, according to the Michigan Department of Transportation.
00:03:56.580 And motorists should use the tunnel rather than the bridge or head to another blue water bridge that goes from Port Huron to Sarnia in Ontario.
00:04:04.960 This is as of about 9 p.m. last night.
00:04:07.520 The Windsor police on their side are saying, don't go there.
00:04:10.560 It's been temporarily interrupted.
00:04:12.160 We can't have this anymore.
00:04:13.440 People are saying, Greg Ward, the president of Detroit-Windsor Truck Ferry, has been in the border crossing business for 30 years.
00:04:20.200 He says the border crossing of this bridge is unprecedented.
00:04:23.700 The last time he can remember it was shut down over a demonstration was in 1990 for an independent trucker protest.
00:04:31.020 This, of course, is used for transport goods for trade.
00:04:34.200 Businesses rely on educating their deliveries on time, et cetera, et cetera.
00:04:36.700 Look, we all understand what's going on.
00:04:38.560 Obviously, of course, one of the main sources of auto parts from Canada to Detroit, obviously, the auto industry is still there.
00:04:48.180 It's been, you know, it's been hampered in recent years, but it is still there.
00:04:51.260 It's been impeded by many of these international agreements and the rise of China.
00:04:54.520 But the auto parts that still are coming across, they're coming across that very bridge.
00:04:59.580 The truckers have said, no mas.
00:05:01.680 We're not doing it anymore.
00:05:03.280 This is what happens when you put your shoulder to the wheel and people take a stand.
00:05:09.220 When people actually fight for something.
00:05:12.060 When people say there are things that are more important to me, like freedom, than economic concerns, than how much money is in my bank account.
00:05:23.800 And these protesters, keep in mind, they know.
00:05:27.460 They know that this is civil disobedience.
00:05:29.820 They know that in many cases, they get ticketed.
00:05:33.280 They get fined.
00:05:35.040 Right?
00:05:35.480 You've even seen some people getting arrested already over this.
00:05:38.700 People, you know, getting in trouble for, oh, I didn't show my ID fast enough.
00:05:43.000 Sitting in a truck, right, back in Ottawa.
00:05:46.640 You are going to see a crackdown from Prime Minister Trudeau and from his allies, just like a Castro.
00:05:55.380 He is going to go full Fidel on this.
00:05:59.980 And for what?
00:06:00.820 For honking horns?
00:06:02.440 For protesting?
00:06:03.480 For saying, we're done with this?
00:06:04.700 Look, we are experiencing now an uprising of work.
00:06:10.540 This is the people versus the elites.
00:06:12.580 This is not, I said it yesterday, this is not left and right.
00:06:14.860 This is up and down.
00:06:16.320 All right?
00:06:16.760 You've got people that are working hard.
00:06:19.220 But also, and Trudeau, you know, will say, oh, this is a fringe minority, right?
00:06:23.200 But understand, truckers and farmers are a strategic asset to any nation.
00:06:31.020 These are the people who actually run the country.
00:06:34.540 These are the literal backbone of every country.
00:06:37.080 We are only, mankind is only nine meals away from pure anarchy at any given time.
00:06:44.780 When you stop the food, you stop your civilization.
00:06:49.960 They understand this.
00:06:51.480 Societies understand this.
00:06:53.000 And the people in cities are about to start to figure this out very, very soon.
00:06:59.420 You better start paying attention.
00:07:04.080 Well, there's an interesting thing going on on the Ukraine front.
00:07:07.660 So if you come here in Washington, D.C., where I am, the national capital region, the regime-occupied national capital region,
00:07:15.040 and you talk about Ukraine, people act as if, they act as if there's almost an active war going on right now.
00:07:21.000 The war drums are beating.
00:07:23.080 People are saying, how many troops are going over?
00:07:25.800 When will, right?
00:07:26.520 People are literally frothing at the mouth.
00:07:29.340 I think I saw a guy at Le Diplomate frothing, actually frothing at the mouth while he was frothing his foamy latte,
00:07:36.440 talking about what Russia is going to do when they invade Kiev and people are making all these comments.
00:07:43.000 Are they going to, you know, come from the north?
00:07:44.840 Are they going to come from Belarus?
00:07:46.060 Are they going to come from the south?
00:07:47.280 Will they come up from Crimea?
00:07:48.960 Will they form a land bridge with the separatists in Donbass, right?
00:07:53.500 And nobody seems to be actually explaining, you know, why or that, you know, what is the strategic intent of doing that?
00:08:00.260 Why would they pick a fight with a country that clearly has allies that are several other nuclear powers?
00:08:07.280 Meanwhile, you got a guy, Emmanuel Macron, President Macron of France, who I'm no fan of, right?
00:08:11.920 In 2017, you can go and look at all his emails that I was able to link to from Twitter, hashtag MacronLeaks.
00:08:18.100 And you see a setup where he's actually gone to Moscow to sit down with Vladimir Putin to talk about does it make sense for the West, Western Europe, NATO, and the United States to go to war with Russia in the middle of winter right now?
00:08:40.460 Which is crazy, right?
00:08:42.520 This is a crazy thing.
00:08:43.760 You don't see President Biden going out and saying, oh, let's have a summit at Reykjavik or Geneva or any of these other places.
00:08:50.980 We can't sit down.
00:08:52.040 Can you even have a Zoom call?
00:08:53.500 No, they won't do it.
00:08:55.120 Meanwhile, President Biden's having these phone calls with President Zelensky, and they won't even release the transcript of it to let us know what was talked about.
00:09:04.340 Because we saw sources on the Ukrainian side who said the call did not go very well, and we talked about that here.
00:09:11.340 And then CNN tried to retract their story because they accidentally reported the truth.
00:09:16.440 They pulled it back.
00:09:17.760 They started reassessing it and putting in all these White House comments.
00:09:22.400 And you had Jim Shudo out there who's sort of like a wannabe Jake Taper.
00:09:26.160 So he was accusing CNN of spreading fake news on CNN even though he's on CNN.
00:09:32.980 So figure all that out.
00:09:35.100 But Macron goes over and talks to Putin, and they actually sit down at this ridiculously long table.
00:09:40.500 And it's actually the same table that when President Orban of Hungary was there recently, and they sat down.
00:09:46.240 It's the same one, but because there weren't any of those translators or interlocutors who were sitting down, there's no staff at the table.
00:09:53.000 It's just this weird—it's like that scene in Batman where he's having dinner with Vicky Vale.
00:09:59.640 And it's like, can you pass this out?
00:10:01.140 And they're all the way at the end of that scene in Coming to America, which is this kind of ridiculously oversized table.
00:10:06.800 But it actually is kind of the same table that they've used for other meetings.
00:10:09.340 So the question becomes really, though, is what Russia is doing in their strategic geopolitical interests, as we've talked about on this program,
00:10:21.100 or are they just crazy, like everyone here in Washington, D.C. seems to think?
00:10:27.260 Hmm, I wonder what's going on.
00:10:29.520 Well, let's play a clip of some of that exchange between President Macron and President Putin.
00:10:34.040 I see how much effort the current France leadership and the president personally put
00:10:39.220 to solve the crisis tied to providing equal security in Europe in a serious historic perspective
00:10:45.100 and to solve the issue of Ukraine's internal crisis in the southeast of the country.
00:10:50.140 I think today's discussion can start to show the direction of where we need to go in a de-escalation,
00:10:58.340 the terms of which we already know.
00:11:01.800 I'm pleased to have the opportunity to get into all these issues in detail
00:11:05.140 and start building together a useful response for Russia and the rest of Europe.
00:11:10.580 A useful response is, of course, one that allows war to be avoided
00:11:14.360 and build confidence, stability, and visibility for everyone.
00:11:17.720 So what's really amazing about this is that when you actually listen
00:11:22.760 to the conversation that's being had,
00:11:25.960 you're finally hearing a discussion of what's going on vis-a-vis NATO,
00:11:32.280 this North Atlantic Treaty Organization,
00:11:35.240 which was originally set up as a response to the Warsaw Pact
00:11:38.400 and a response to the Soviet Union, right?
00:11:40.140 The idea was the Western world is going to form a union,
00:11:43.860 but not a direct union like the Soviet Union,
00:11:46.800 but form a military pact in order to be ready for a potential war with the Soviet Union.
00:11:54.100 And you had an entire generation of people,
00:11:56.000 really almost two generations of people,
00:11:57.780 that were told again and again and again,
00:11:59.760 the missiles will be coming, the missiles will be flying,
00:12:02.000 they're going to come over the north,
00:12:03.160 they're going to go over, you know,
00:12:04.260 they're going to go over the dew line, right?
00:12:06.000 They're going to come over Canada and your house.
00:12:07.940 They told children to hide under tables.
00:12:10.800 Well, here's the thing that I don't think a lot of people get,
00:12:13.700 is that the same thing was going on in Russia.
00:12:15.540 So you've got this massive intelligentsia,
00:12:18.280 this huge foreign policy blob in Moscow, in the Kremlin,
00:12:21.920 the same way we do here in the United States.
00:12:24.400 The only problem is, or I guess the only difference is,
00:12:27.700 they look at it the exact opposite.
00:12:30.320 They see the US as the aggressors,
00:12:32.780 they see NATO as an aggressor,
00:12:34.980 and they point to things like Libya, like Afghanistan, like Iraq.
00:12:39.000 And they say, look, we see what you've done to these countries, Yugoslavia.
00:12:43.600 We don't want you to do that to us.
00:12:46.920 That's how they view the situation.
00:12:49.540 And so President Putin and President Macron are actually sitting down saying,
00:12:53.400 can we hammer out some peace agreements?
00:12:56.680 So it's kind of amazing to see what happens when you actually discuss the situation,
00:13:00.780 instead of just freak out about what could possibly happen.
00:13:04.360 Well, the new and improved MyPillow.com has been uploaded and updated.
00:13:12.540 I really like the new site.
00:13:13.560 It's super easy to drive on there.
00:13:15.220 So go take it for a cruise.
00:13:16.880 Go to MyPillow.com.
00:13:18.180 You put in promo code POSO.
00:13:19.660 You can find all the flash sales.
00:13:21.660 And the way they run it now is that when you put the promo code in right at the top,
00:13:25.360 the deals follow you wherever you go on the site.
00:13:28.360 So it's already preloaded.
00:13:29.640 You don't have to go to any extra steps.
00:13:31.720 You don't have to put it in every time when you go to checkout, et cetera.
00:13:34.360 You know, when I go shop on there, like I use promo code POSO as well, right?
00:13:37.620 Because I want to support.
00:13:38.840 Look, I put my money around those.
00:13:40.440 I support American workers.
00:13:41.960 I support patriots.
00:13:43.440 That's why I support Mike Lindell.
00:13:45.220 That's why I support MyPillow.
00:13:46.400 And honestly, my family just likes them, right?
00:13:49.500 We bought it.
00:13:50.160 We got a little tent for Christmas.
00:13:52.460 I got a little tent for the boys, like a play tent that we set up in our living room.
00:13:56.680 And our one-year-old.
00:13:57.960 And we put all the different MyPillows inside there, the little ones they get with the Bible verses on the covers.
00:14:03.080 And so he put all of his MyPillows in there.
00:14:06.260 And then now every day he's running around the living room.
00:14:09.240 And then he goes, runs into the tent.
00:14:10.920 And then, boof, he just falls down on all of his MyPillows.
00:14:14.420 And he loves it.
00:14:15.040 And then he gets them out and starts rolling around.
00:14:16.760 So, you know, that's our one-year-old.
00:14:18.240 Then even our three-year-old will go in there.
00:14:20.620 And, you know, they're kind of getting that brotherly.
00:14:22.680 So it's Jack-Jack and AJ, and they're starting to grow that brotherly bond.
00:14:27.320 And it's amazing to see them do that.
00:14:29.360 And then they're playing with the pillows.
00:14:31.000 They're reading to, you know, our Jack-Jack is reading to AJ on there.
00:14:34.860 And so it's kind of cool to see that.
00:14:36.460 And it's also cool to know that MyPillow is actually playing a part of that.
00:14:39.440 So check it out, MyPillow.com, the new updated website.
00:14:42.380 Got to get to this next story, though,
00:14:43.760 because the Olympic Diplomacy Blitz has netted Argentina for the CCP's Belt and Road Initiative.
00:14:52.440 Now, this should not come as a surprise to anybody who's been paying attention
00:14:55.540 to what we've been reporting here at Human Events Daily.
00:14:59.420 The CCP is not on the decline.
00:15:02.080 I don't get why so many people are trying to say this in the China Watcher community, right?
00:15:06.200 I think it's a cope.
00:15:06.940 I think it's honestly a really, really bad cope from a lot of people.
00:15:11.000 They are on the rise.
00:15:12.060 They are becoming a preeminent player in Asia,
00:15:15.240 and they're becoming a dominant player on the world stage.
00:15:20.040 They are a great power, like it or not.
00:15:23.060 In fact, they are becoming a global superpower.
00:15:26.700 And Xi Jinping, I've said this before, the Olympic ceremony was his coronation.
00:15:32.140 So we've got this video now from the president of Argentina meeting with Xi Jinping in Beijing,
00:15:37.640 essentially giving him respect and paying tribute to the new emperor.
00:15:43.100 Xi Jinping's
00:15:54.360 impressed with that magnificent work and we felt very identified with everything that was the
00:16:02.280 trajectory of the revolution until the present, which has put China in the central place in the world.
00:16:09.600 Know that we, as well has said, we share a same philosophy of politics,
00:16:18.240 which puts man as center of politics.
00:16:24.360 So, as we said before, it shouldn't come as a surprise. We've seen the CCP's links with the
00:16:39.720 African Union. We're now seeing their ties to South America. We've covered that a million times here,
00:16:44.140 and now they are officially signing up. They're officially signing up Argentina. They've inked
00:16:48.860 an agreement on jointly promoting the construction of the Silk Road economic belt and 21st century
00:16:54.780 maritime Silk Road, marking Argentina's entry into the initiative. And listen to this. Chinese
00:17:00.100 companies have invested more than $20 billion into non-financial direct investment on projects
00:17:06.340 in BRI countries in just 2021 alone. They are throwing their money everywhere. This is a trillion
00:17:13.780 dollar push. The deal comes, of course, as Argentine president Alberto Fernandez made a three-day visit
00:17:18.800 to China in which both sides said that they would continue to support each other on issues concerning
00:17:23.260 sovereign interests. She also met with the president of Pakistan, talking about Balochistan province.
00:17:28.460 He's meeting with central and eastern European powers. He's also met with the Singaporean president.
00:17:33.480 Look, understand. Understand what's going on. You are seeing a global geopolitical realignment now.
00:17:40.160 And you can read Mearsheimer on this. You can read Mackinder on this. But understand,
00:17:46.800 we are now—it is not the CCP who is in decline. It is this version of the global American or global
00:17:54.720 Western regime that is on the decline. The WTO, the UN, et cetera, NATO, that's all on the decline.
00:18:01.940 What's on the rise is the CCP.
00:18:03.940 Well, Dr. Jill Biden, you know, that's actually interesting because I think we actually have,
00:18:13.280 for once, a refreshing bit of honesty from one of these politicians. And, oh, you can argue whether
00:18:20.140 or not Jill Biden's a politician, but she clearly got involved in politics on one specific issue.
00:18:24.860 And what was that? She promised, as part of the Biden agenda, that there would be, what,
00:18:30.220 two free years of community college. She said that. She said that repeatedly on the campaign trail.
00:18:36.480 She even went to, what was it, the Community College National Legislative Summit and said
00:18:42.740 that you would see fighting for two free years of college before the election.
00:18:48.880 And yet now that we're in the midst of the administration—by the way, the administration
00:18:53.120 that would have full control, right? Their party controls Congress, both House and the Senate,
00:18:59.520 right? You could get, supposedly, whatever you want done, right? Well, here's the problem with that.
00:19:06.560 Dr. Jill Biden has actually come out and admitted that it's not happening. This plan, this vaunted plan
00:19:13.040 for two free years of community college, DOA, will not be submitted in the Build Back Better bill.
00:19:22.700 This was going to be the signature, right? The signature agenda for Dr. Jill Biden. This was something—how many votes?
00:19:29.360 How many votes did they get from stupid people who believed political candidates would actually
00:19:35.020 keep their word, right? We had one president who did that, but most of them don't.
00:19:39.280 How many votes did you get by believing somebody before the election when they talked about this?
00:19:45.680 And we're pointing out the hypocrisy here. That's what we're doing. Do not trust career politicians.
00:19:51.120 And that's who the Bidens are. Mark my words. I've known them a long time. I remember when they used
00:19:56.720 to come up, and it was Senator Joe Biden and Dr. Jill Biden. They would come up at University of Pennsylvania,
00:20:02.560 and they'd hold all their dinners there. Back when Joe Biden—they used to refer to him as the third
00:20:06.960 senator of Pennsylvania, right? Because Delaware—even he himself would refer to him as himself as the
00:20:12.880 third senator of Pennsylvania, right? And they'd be wined and dined. And then he became vice president.
00:20:18.320 And so, of course, his ties to UPenn were really emphasized. Her ties to UPenn really emphasized Amy
00:20:23.200 Guttman. The whole story—we'll talk about it some other time. But this is who they are.
00:20:28.640 Understand who they are. Look, we've even got her on video admitting it.
00:20:33.040 Hi there. How are you? I'm so honored to have you here.
00:20:36.240 Well, thank you. Thanks. This is a very exciting initiative,
00:20:38.960 this Heads Up initiative. It is. It is.
00:20:40.960 The idea of making community college free for students over the course of two years.
00:20:44.640 Why? Explain to us real quick how important this is and why it's so dear to your heart.
00:20:50.240 Well, I am a community college professor. I've been teaching over 30 years.
00:20:54.960 And I'm still teaching full-time. And so we want to make college affordable and accessible for
00:21:01.280 for all Americans. So if you have...
00:21:06.480 So a lot of college students tonight who are watching go to headsupamerica.us
00:21:13.600 and look it up, because it's for you. It's free for you.
00:21:17.680 Very exciting. Now, another very exciting thing...
00:21:20.400 Understand it. You can't trust politicians.
00:21:23.280 You should never trust politicians. They will tell you one thing and they'll do another thing
00:21:28.880 when they get into office. They will use you. And so I'd say this to all the liberals out there,
00:21:34.000 to all the college students or 18-year-olds who are thinking about going to community college.
00:21:39.440 You voted for Joe Biden because you said, you know, this candidate really speaks to me.
00:21:44.000 And I really want those two free years. Or if you're someone who just thinks that it's a good idea
00:21:48.240 to give everyone college. Put this segment together with the first story today. Learn a trade.
00:21:55.760 You don't have to be a trucker, but I think everybody's realizing that being a trucker is
00:21:59.920 pretty darn important. And if you go do that, it's a lot of money. Huge backlog, by the way, over a year.
00:22:05.360 Don't trust the Biden.
00:22:07.520 Well, we're out. That is it for Human Events Daily. Remember our top stories today. We talked about
00:22:13.760 the truckers. We talked about President Macron meeting with President Putin, talking about
00:22:18.000 diplomatic solutions. Argentina officially joining the CCP's Belt and Road Initiative. And finally,
00:22:23.840 why you should never trust the Biden family. This is your most highly valuable 20 minutes,
00:22:31.200 25 minutes a day. Our motto to you, be good, be brief, be gone. Remember the one piece of homework
00:22:35.840 that I do ask for each of you. Share this out with one of your Normie friends and then leave us your
00:22:40.160 five star review. Before we go, it's time for today's history break. 1965, President Johnson, LBJ,
00:22:47.600 deployed the first U.S. combat troops to South Vietnam with 3,500 Marines sent. And we were told at the
00:22:55.280 time they were just going to protect a U.S. air base near Da Nang. That's all it was going to be.
00:23:00.160 Yeah. Ten years later, we finally saw what happened. Ladies and gentlemen, you have my permission to lay
00:23:06.720 ashore.
