00:01:42.080 Ladies and gentlemen, welcome aboard today's edition of Cuban Events Daily, powered by Turning Point USA.
00:01:45.940 Say, you know, I think I forgot to mention this yesterday, but we're actually down here.
00:01:49.540 We're reporting live and broadcasting from CPAC down in Orlando, Florida.
00:01:53.860 We had pre-scheduled to be here. We didn't know that a war was going to be breaking out, obviously.
00:01:57.860 But as they say, may you live in interesting times. And we certainly do live in interesting times.
00:02:03.500 So, here we are at CPAC reporting on the war in Ukraine.
00:02:09.100 Russia launched this war against Ukraine as NATO was moving in.
00:02:13.480 didn't want Ukraine to join NATO, didn't want those forces, didn't want the missiles, the javelins, the arming of the army, saw it as a threat.
00:02:21.360 Now we have the response. Now we have Putin's response.
00:02:25.520 It wasn't diplomatic, it wasn't negotiations, it wasn't talks.
00:02:31.280 They have been met now with force.
00:02:33.300 But more than that is going on, and we're going to break into that.
00:02:36.180 All this in more ahead, Cuban Events Daily.
00:02:37.600 So, in terms of updates, I'll give you what I know.
00:02:50.280 Obviously, there's a lot of fog of war going on right now, literal fog of war.
00:02:53.620 There's disinformation, there's false videos, there's videos being sent from video games that are being shared across social media.
00:02:58.900 And I said this yesterday on Turning Point Live, and I'll say it again here, that be careful what you see on social media.
00:03:06.800 Be careful about these videos.
00:03:08.940 There's one video going around, supposedly, of a dogfight between a Ukrainian fighter and a Russian fighter over Kiev.
00:03:14.900 Turns out that video actually comes from a video game.
00:03:18.640 And that was something that someone created and then made to look as if it was from the actual fighting.
00:03:22.900 So, understand, because our computer graphics are so good right now, you don't quite know if what you're seeing is something that actually happened or something that someone created.
00:03:33.740 A good rule of thumb that I use, though, is if you're seeing something when it comes to multiple, if there's multiple angles, if there's multiple videos of one incident, that does add to the credibility of it.
00:03:44.200 But just keep that in mind, you know, think before you share.
00:03:47.320 I understand that it's very emotional.
00:03:49.200 And here it is, you are going to see brutality come out of this.
00:03:54.700 Make no mistake, that brutality is on the hands of Vladimir Putin and the Russians who instigated this conflict.
00:04:03.560 But at the same time, we're not going to lie about the people who brought us here.
00:04:09.340 We're not going to lie about the involvement of the Biden family.
00:04:12.180 We're not going to lie about the involvement of the Clinton family and the Clinton Foundation.
00:04:15.940 We're not going to lie about the war mongers and the neoliberal, neoconservative elites in this country, in the United States, that have sought to expand America's military alliance and expand America's military footprint around the world.
00:04:32.500 Libya, Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria.
00:04:36.080 These things happened.
00:04:37.780 And these things were done in the interest and in the name of the United States.
00:04:47.440 We had a system of unipolarity.
00:04:50.300 What does that mean?
00:04:51.820 Sure, there are other countries in the world that U.S. did business with, but the U.S. was essentially, and I do mean was, essentially, a global hegemony.
00:05:00.540 We were a global superpower.
00:05:02.440 Cold War ended.
00:05:03.920 U.S. was the only superpower left.
00:05:05.940 And he had this idea of something called Pax Americana, the peace of America.
00:05:12.220 Well, that's done now.
00:05:13.880 America has grown weak.
00:05:15.540 America has grown soft.
00:05:17.300 Our leaders have grown weaker.
00:05:18.480 Our leaders have grown softer.
00:05:20.240 And our economic ties to other countries who are not our friends.
00:05:27.020 Like, what we did with outsourcing our entire manufacturing base, our entire manufacturing infrastructure to China and other parts of the world is now coming back to bite us.
00:05:40.080 Do you now understand why your manufacturing base is a national security concern?
00:05:46.400 Are you paying attention yet?
00:05:48.900 Do you get it now?
00:05:49.940 I think a lot of people get it now.
00:05:51.760 I'm not going to beat that point home.
00:05:53.620 If it's a pandemic where we couldn't make our own pharmaceuticals and make our own PPE after we're now seeing warfare, when our steel industry, our aluminum, is dependent on other countries.
00:06:05.020 And by the way, fossil fuels, the idea that we have not pursued nuclear power, but we have pursued these green energy, renewables, solar power, it was always a fantasy.
00:06:18.640 It wasn't going to work.
00:06:20.440 And because we've left the world reliant on fossil fuels, but at the same time, cut down our own fossil fuel production here in the United States, domestically, Alaska, offshore, our fracking.
00:06:32.280 Now that's coming back to bite us because we've become reliant on countries like OPEC.
00:06:37.240 OPEC is who?
00:06:38.220 The Saudis and the Russians.
00:06:40.200 So understand, we put them in this position.
00:06:44.000 We gave them this power.
00:06:45.800 We gave this to China.
00:06:47.280 We gave this to Russia.
00:06:48.420 But at the same time, we demonized them.
00:06:52.000 We pursued military entanglements that they viewed as threats, specifically in terms of Ukraine.
00:06:58.840 The United States did support a coup, a violent coup, in 2014 that overthrew the Ukrainian government, democratically elected government.
00:07:10.260 They were not a quote-unquote pro-U.S. government.
00:07:13.140 That being said, they were elected.
00:07:15.600 They were overthrown.
00:07:17.140 All of this was viewed through the lens of the people who lived there as threats.
00:07:22.080 Understand that.
00:07:22.900 And when people were talking, the United States military and the United States government, about putting long-range missiles or even short-range missiles in Ukraine, the leaders of Moscow and the leaders of the Kremlin viewed that as a threat.
00:07:38.000 That they had other options.
00:07:40.440 And that's where the brutality of all of this goes on them.
00:07:43.840 They had so many other options.
00:07:46.060 You could have cut off your own pipelines.
00:07:48.000 You could have raised the prices.
00:07:49.020 You could have done so many more things.
00:07:52.940 But make no mistake, Vladimir Putin chose this path.
00:07:55.840 He chose the path that he is on now.
00:07:58.840 He chose to roll these dice and to step away from the table of negotiations and economics and choose the path of war.
00:08:06.720 Understand that.
00:08:08.560 Do they have national security concerns?
00:08:10.440 Fine.
00:08:10.660 But he didn't have to do this.
00:08:14.900 He just simply did.
00:08:17.760 And you got people like Hillary Clinton now, former Secretary of State, calling for actual acts of war on Russia.
00:08:25.200 A cyber attack?
00:08:26.360 When you've announced that we're the ones doing it, could you be more stupid?
00:08:30.960 You're calling for acts of war directly on the Russian homeland.
00:08:34.800 Again, do you understand anything yet about how the Russian strategic military decision-making calculus works?
00:08:42.440 They are going to view that as an escalation, and they're going to view it as an attack on Russia.
00:08:47.460 You are now going to draw the United States.
00:08:49.860 Think about that.
00:08:50.520 Do you really want to draw the United States and all of our people and all of our military, as weakened as it's become, as soft as it's become, our finances, as bad as they've become, our debt, as out of control as it's become.
00:09:02.240 You want to draw that into a direct war with Russia?
00:09:06.240 This was the whole point of the Cold War, that we don't get into direct war because of something called mutually assured destruction.
00:09:13.280 And Vladimir Putin was very clear about that when he announced this operation, when he announced this invasion.
00:09:18.000 He said, essentially, that anyone who intervenes will be responded to with a high level of force.
00:09:27.000 What does that mean?
00:09:27.600 He's focused on nuclear war.
00:09:29.220 He's put nuclear war on the table.
00:09:31.740 So now the question becomes for us, the strategic calculus has to be, how do we prevent nuclear war from coming to the American homeland?
00:09:40.380 It is not worth losing New York City, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Washington, D.C.
00:09:51.260 Open this.
00:09:51.780 And it just comes down to that.
00:09:55.560 I know, I know, got my problems with those cities, but certainly San Francisco.
00:10:01.160 But the time for all that talk is later.
00:10:05.100 What do we do now?
00:10:07.100 Look at the way the world is changing around us and understand how this is happening.
00:10:11.600 Before I wrap up this segment, I'll give you a basic encapsulation of what we know in terms of how the operation is going on on the ground.
00:10:19.580 The Russian lines are pushing in from the south, from the east, and from the north.
00:10:25.360 From the north, I think that's the one most people are focused on right now.
00:10:28.860 They are pushing down from areas of Belarus and areas of western Russia.
00:10:35.080 They're coming down across the border regions, and they're headed in a pincer movement directly for Kiev.
00:10:40.460 There was a battle for Chernobyl.
00:10:42.300 You guys, certainly everyone remembers Chernobyl.
00:10:44.680 I remember the events of 1986, the nuclear meltdown that took place there.
00:10:47.840 There was a battle that included an airborne assault from the Russian paratroopers into Chernobyl.
00:10:54.260 They fought for it.
00:10:55.260 They won.
00:10:56.180 And they are now pushing forward through Chernobyl on the path to Kiev.
00:11:00.400 Chernobyl lies directly on the Neper River on the path to Kiev.
00:11:04.240 And now the fighting is beginning in Kiev.
00:11:07.060 We're hearing reports that Chechens, the Tartars, the Cossacks, they're all being called up.
00:11:14.700 They're being sent in.
00:11:15.720 So, understand what this means.
00:11:18.700 They are gearing up for real urban warfare, urban combat.
00:11:23.380 And the Ukrainians, Kiev, we're hearing are also arming their populace, arming the civilians.
00:11:30.400 Understand the Russian rules of engagement.
00:11:33.840 They will target civilians with guns.
00:11:36.160 And they will treat civilians as armed combatants.
00:11:40.260 That's what's going to happen.
00:11:42.140 You are going to see brutality unleashed.
00:11:44.840 And it's going to be on each other.
00:11:46.680 In the middle of these cities, you are going to see street-to-street fighting.
00:11:49.940 And you are going to see absolutely horrific and bloody images coming out of this.
00:11:55.160 And I want people to understand, this could have been prevented.
00:12:01.140 This didn't have to happen.
00:12:05.020 The Chechens that are going in, they're most likely going to be going after the Azov battalion.
00:12:09.300 They're probably going to be deployed.
00:12:10.580 Thousands of them, it looks like.
00:12:12.020 They've been marching through Brozny, which is their capital city, Chechya.
00:12:16.440 They're marching.
00:12:17.540 They're headed to Donbass, most likely.
00:12:19.640 They're going to go after the Azov battalion.
00:12:22.720 The question then becomes for us, what is Russia's strategic nuclear calculus, strategic calculus?
00:12:28.440 Do they want to hold all of Ukraine?
00:12:31.940 We've seen targeted strikes, targeted operations.
00:12:35.640 We've seen the pincer movement on Kiev.
00:12:36.980 Kiev, but it doesn't appear as if they're trying to hold all of Ukraine.
00:12:42.820 We have heard some rustlings and some putting some feelers out.
00:12:48.400 Zelensky is calling Macron, trying to reach out to Putin, try to sit down for peace.
00:12:55.300 Lavrov has said that they may send a delegation to Minsk for further talks.
00:13:00.680 This could be the path out of this.
00:13:03.440 An off-ramp from these hostilities.
00:13:05.540 And it's going to lead to changes in the border.
00:13:09.500 Make no mistake about that.
00:13:10.740 It is going to lead to changes in the borderlines between Crimea in the south,
00:13:17.620 for the Donbass in the east, and we'll see what happens in Odessa.
00:13:21.680 But understand, this is the real world now.
00:13:26.020 The time for pieces of paper are over.
00:13:27.860 Energy politics, pipeline politics, warfare, military, boots, and steel.
00:13:37.300 This is the way the world works.
00:13:39.280 This is the way the world has always been.
00:13:41.720 You can try to deny it because you don't like it.
00:13:44.980 And you can try to turn away and avert your eyes.
00:13:48.620 But just because you close your eyes to reality doesn't mean that reality isn't there.
00:13:55.060 You say that men can become women, women can become men.
00:13:57.920 Up is down, left is right.
00:14:02.140 Tell yourself whatever you want.
00:14:04.240 But you can't ignore reality.
00:14:06.260 And a lot of this, a lot of this wishful thinking that went in,
00:14:12.680 President Biden, Clinton family, you sold the Ukrainians out.
00:14:19.280 Completely built them up and you sold them out.
00:14:21.600 And you're walking away with millions and millions of dollars
00:14:24.840 in the coffers of the Biden family's bank accounts.
00:14:27.840 Hunter Biden's laptop proves all of that.
00:14:30.880 Hillary Clinton and her foundation, you see what's there.
00:14:32.920 That was the money of the people of Ukraine.
00:14:36.420 You took it, you put it in your pockets,
00:14:38.780 give it to your defense contractor buddies.
00:14:42.180 And now you're walking away while those very same people are under attack.
00:14:50.780 All right, and just to say it, if you want to continue to support us,
00:14:53.120 support the show, support our advertisers.
00:14:55.120 Of course, one of our advertisers is MyPillow.
00:14:57.460 You go to MyPillow.com slash Poso, get all the deals.
00:15:00.000 You'll see it there, MyPillow.com slash Poso.
00:15:02.920 More explanation, though.
00:15:04.780 What's going on?
00:15:06.640 We saw the Battle of Chernobyl.
00:15:08.540 We're going to see the Battle of Kiev.
00:15:10.900 It's already begun, as a matter of fact.
00:15:12.480 It's happening right now.
00:15:14.960 This war could have been prevented.
00:15:17.800 But more to the point,
00:15:19.200 we are now seeing a global restructuring of the world order.
00:15:24.720 The United States is no longer the main superpower in the world.
00:15:31.000 What you have is a resurgent Russia and the rise of China.
00:15:37.120 So understand this.
00:15:39.420 Russia is seeking to balance out China and India.
00:15:43.580 But at the same time, India has now announced, we're getting reports,
00:15:47.880 that they are seeking to find a way to continue to trade with Russia despite the sanctions.
00:15:54.280 What does that mean?
00:15:55.540 They're going to seek to find a way to do financial deals with them
00:15:59.440 throughout the SWIFT system, outside of the SWIFT system, which means no U.S. dollar.
00:16:05.220 So Russia is going to stay on the SWIFT system for now.
00:16:09.480 And why is that?
00:16:11.080 Well, if you kick them out, or even push to kick them out, you should, by the way.
00:16:16.460 But what's the response of that going to be?
00:16:18.260 That's going to drive them to try to create a parallel financial economic system with China
00:16:23.620 and with India and with others, possibly even Brazil.
00:16:28.380 That's the one belt, one road.
00:16:30.720 That is the answer to all of this.
00:16:33.380 First, we are moving now to a system of multi-polarity.
00:16:37.400 We're moving to a system of the world where the U.S. is not dominating everything.
00:16:42.880 You're going to see India make deals with Russia and China.
00:16:46.760 You're going to see China make deals with everybody.
00:16:49.920 You're going to see Russia make deals with all of these areas.
00:16:52.860 And you're going to see Europe.
00:16:54.340 Europe is going to be moving in a direction where they are turning away.
00:16:58.880 It's going to seem like they're turning away from the United States.
00:17:01.020 But understand, we're going to have to stop looking at the world as if it's good guys
00:17:07.180 and bad guys anymore.
00:17:09.380 Don't get me wrong.
00:17:10.140 There is good and evil.
00:17:11.480 But understand that what is in America's strategic national interest?
00:17:15.060 What do I mean by that?
00:17:16.860 The good of our nation means providing for the security and the prosperity of the American
00:17:22.880 people first.
00:17:24.460 That's why I said yesterday, I think I'm the only person who said this.
00:17:26.680 For some reason, President Biden didn't even say it.
00:17:28.800 But a threat on any American city will immediately lead to Moscow and Beijing being razed to the
00:17:37.340 ground.
00:17:38.840 President Trump used to say this, by the way.
00:17:41.520 He told, it's reported, he told Vladimir Putin to his face that if Putin invaded Ukraine,
00:17:47.920 that Trump would bomb the Kremlin, would bomb Red Square.
00:17:50.920 And all those, the quote goes, all those beautiful golden turrets would be laid to waste.
00:17:57.600 And he said that to Putin's face.
00:18:00.100 He also told Xi the same, that he would bomb Beijing if they tried to take Taiwan.
00:18:05.640 Well, we don't have that president anymore.
00:18:08.800 We have a president who responds with sanctions, with statements, pieces of paper.
00:18:16.520 That world is gone now.
00:18:19.340 That world isn't going to work anymore.
00:18:21.520 A piece of paper isn't going to save you when the Russian army is bearing down on your
00:18:27.720 hold.
00:18:29.820 Understand that.
00:18:32.260 If you made a deal with the Bidens or the Clintons, well, we've seen.
00:18:38.680 We've now seen how they keep their duties.
00:18:42.540 We've now seen how they keep their word.
00:18:44.900 You see what their word is worth.
00:18:48.140 Make no mistake.
00:18:50.100 All of this could have been avoided.
00:18:52.960 We had four years of peace.
00:18:56.580 And we were talking about building the American homeland, rebuilding, bringing our manufacturing
00:19:02.240 home, decoupling from China, weakening them economically.
00:19:05.540 And by the way, increasing America's domestic energy capacity.
00:19:13.460 The more you increase that, how many times do I have to say this on the show?
00:19:17.800 We shouldn't be invading the world.
00:19:20.200 We should be invading Alaska.
00:19:21.880 We should be invading the Permian Basis with fracking.
00:19:24.400 We should be invading the Marcellus Shale with fracking.
00:19:27.740 You go through all of these American domestic sources offshore if you have to, Anwar if you
00:19:32.940 have to, go to these areas and develop them.
00:19:36.780 Pebble mine.
00:19:38.460 So many ways that we can develop our resources here at home.
00:19:44.040 And Greenland, let's have an actual discussion about what to do with Greenland.
00:19:49.080 This is going to be the way not only to support our people, not only to support our interests
00:19:56.920 and our safety and prosperity, but also if you flood the market with more oil supply and
00:20:03.920 demand, oil, natural gas, what do you do?
00:20:06.620 Keystone XL pipeline from those oil shales from up in Canada down in the US.
00:20:12.580 What are you doing?
00:20:14.200 You're now lowering the price of oil.
00:20:17.260 That means less money for the Russians.
00:20:19.440 It also means less money for the Iranians.
00:20:21.240 Understand how this works.
00:20:24.060 It's all fit together.
00:20:27.200 But you didn't want to look at it that way.
00:20:29.980 People wanted to focus on saying that America is going to be this immortal superpower and that
00:20:36.640 we can lead the world.
00:20:38.520 History doesn't exist.
00:20:40.100 The real world doesn't exist.
00:20:42.680 Human nature doesn't exist.
00:20:44.780 And it doesn't matter.
00:20:46.500 Well, it turns out that all of those things did matter.
00:20:49.260 And it turns out that we've been trying to pull the wool over our own eyes.
00:20:56.400 Now, understand, I've talked to a lot of people who are either in Ukraine, Belarus,
00:21:03.280 even had messages from Russia.
00:21:06.060 The young people over there, they don't support this.
00:21:08.920 They don't want this.
00:21:10.080 But they saw it coming.
00:21:10.960 Do you know that a lot of Russians, in just the past couple of weeks, converted their
00:21:17.080 rubles into U.S. dollars?
00:21:20.480 Why?
00:21:21.920 Because they knew what was coming.
00:21:23.940 They saw this coming.
00:21:25.460 And they wanted to prepare for it.
00:21:26.840 They knew the Russian economy would take a massive hit in the near term.
00:21:30.640 And it is going to, by the way.
00:21:32.800 And Putin may have miscalculated on this.
00:21:34.540 And if he did, that's going to put Russia in a much, much weaker position than it's ever
00:21:41.080 been, at least economically.
00:21:43.220 But understand that economics is not the only thing that Russia responds to.
00:21:49.700 They respond to power.
00:21:51.460 They respond to force.
00:21:53.320 This is the way of the world.
00:21:54.400 This is Athens and Sparta.
00:21:56.700 This is the sea power and the land power.
00:22:00.360 The Athenians were seen as extravagant, decadent.
00:22:06.480 And the Spartans, I think we all know about the Spartans and who the Spartans were.
00:22:11.340 So understand, you're coming at the world from different perspectives.
00:22:16.500 You don't get that.
00:22:18.040 The Russian people got it.
00:22:19.860 But everybody in Washington, everybody in D.C., everybody in London, all of these think
00:22:24.300 tank analysts, CIA, they wanted to tell themselves they were so smart, they had it all figured
00:22:31.300 out when they totally screwed up.
00:22:35.140 And John Mearsheimer said it right.
00:22:36.680 He said it best six years ago, that the West is leading Ukraine down a primrose path to war.
00:22:42.960 And they are about to get wrecked.
00:22:45.480 And when it happens, when it comes, the West will be nowhere to be there.
00:22:50.000 That's about all the time we have here for Human Events Daily here live.
00:22:56.060 We're in CPAC.
00:22:56.840 We're in Orlando, Florida.
00:22:59.080 And I got to say, there's a good energy here with a lot of people.
00:23:02.600 Great turnout.
00:23:03.620 Excellent event.
00:23:05.000 I'm going to be speaking on noon on Saturday.
00:23:07.520 I'll be there.
00:23:08.440 We're going to be talking about this.
00:23:09.460 We're going to talk about more.
00:23:10.180 We're going to talk about who we think the Democrats nominee for 2024 is going to be.
00:23:15.220 And I think it's going to be quite interesting, given the events of the past couple of days.
00:23:21.780 There are days where decades happen.
00:23:25.740 We are in those days now.
00:23:27.380 Prepare before it happens, not after.
00:23:29.920 Share this out with your normie friends.
00:23:33.480 Be the resistance.
00:23:36.180 We still have a regime here at home.
00:23:38.380 Don't forget that.
00:23:39.660 Don't trust them.
00:23:41.080 Ladies and gentlemen, as always, you have my permission to lay a short.
00:23:45.220 Thank you.
