00:00:21.740 You will not regret it.

00:00:23.320 Humanevents.com slash Poso.

00:00:25.060 Totally free.

00:00:25.780 The Poso Daily Brief.

00:00:30.000 This is what happens when the fourth turning meets fifth generation warfare.

00:00:39.600 A commentator, international social media sensation, and former Navy intelligence veteran.

00:00:46.260 This is Human Events with your host, Jack Poso.

00:00:49.820 Now to Texas, where a father says he forgives the teen accused of fatally stabbing his son

00:00:55.020 at a high school track meet.

00:00:56.340 I want to clarify something right off the start because I've already heard some rumors and gossip.

00:01:01.820 This was not a race thing.

00:01:03.520 This is not a political thing.

00:01:05.260 What has the globalist economy gotten the United States of America? 0.92

00:01:08.900 And the answer is fundamentally it's based on two principles.

00:01:12.640 Incurring a huge amount of debt to buy things that other countries make for us.

00:01:17.320 And to make it a little bit more crystal clear, we borrow money from Chinese peasants 0.98

00:01:21.660 to buy the things those Chinese peasants manufacture. 1.00

00:01:24.320 You said previously that the relationship that Canada had with the United States is now over.

00:01:29.800 Is the U.S. still our ally?

00:01:32.480 The U.S. is absolutely our ally.

00:01:35.520 It's our ally in security and defense partnership.

00:01:37.920 America is rich.

00:01:39.320 We buy a lot of stuff.

00:01:40.560 President Trump is saying that if you American business or you of foreign businesses want to sell in America,

00:01:48.520 then move your business here and hire American workers.

00:01:51.900 That's an audible goal and I support it.

00:01:53.940 It'll work long term.

00:01:55.300 We can't allow the United States of America not to produce pharmaceuticals.

00:01:59.820 We can't have a war where we can't get antibiotics and we have to call another country to make a missile or to make a plane.

00:02:08.640 I mean, these are obvious things we need to have domestic production.

00:02:13.540 We need to employ Americans.

00:02:15.720 And I think that is the model that Donald Trump is seizing on.

00:02:19.700 We need to employ Americans for the good of the United States of America.

00:02:24.060 Well, ladies and gentlemen, welcome aboard today's edition of Human Events Daily.

00:02:30.200 We're here live in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, this April 4th, 2025.

00:02:35.500 Anno, Domini.

00:02:36.440 We're at the Pennsylvania Leadership Conference.

00:02:40.060 This is a gathering of patriots.

00:02:42.240 We're here to celebrate the incredible victory of President Trump.

00:02:46.120 24 turning Pennsylvania red, ruby red, baby.

00:02:49.960 We loved it.

00:02:50.640 But we are here also because we're Soros maxing.

00:02:53.720 We're building out the networks for the 2026 race, for the local races here in 2025, and then 2028 and beyond.

00:03:02.660 And, of course, I wouldn't be Pennsylvania if I wasn't here with my brother, Kev Poso.

00:03:07.120 What's up, Kev?

00:03:08.000 Keystone Kev checking in.

00:03:09.380 Keystone Kev checking in, putting the key in Keystone.

00:03:12.160 You know, they said Josh Shapiro issued a mandate.

00:03:14.180 He said we're not allowed to be in the state together.

00:03:15.960 Do you realize that?

00:03:16.680 Oh, is that right?

00:03:17.280 I didn't realize that.

00:03:18.400 Where's Josh?

00:03:19.140 He's not here.

00:03:19.780 I'm sorry.

00:03:19.960 Where are you, Josh?

00:03:20.820 He's right uptown.

00:03:21.720 He's right uptown.

00:03:22.500 We'll go over.

00:03:22.960 Well, maybe he'll come over from the governor's mansion.

00:03:24.920 Maybe he'll come out and take a peek.

00:03:26.120 We're also here with the great Cliff Maloney.

00:03:28.100 Cliff, I want to thank you for having us here, for hosting us from Citizens Alliance and the PHAs.

00:03:32.460 Got our Commonwealth back, baby.

00:03:33.840 We did it.

00:03:34.420 Happy to be here.

00:03:35.280 Look, we've got it back, but it's not all the way back.

00:03:37.440 We won a big battle.

00:03:38.360 We won a big battle.

00:03:39.180 But we haven't quite won the war yet, have we?

00:03:41.120 No, and I think, you know, this Lancaster race last week really was an eye-opener for us.

00:03:45.080 You know, the Democrats, we might think they're in turmoil, but they've got no leader, no message.

00:03:50.040 What are they doing except for going after Trump, going after Elon?

00:03:53.880 But one thing they do do, Josh Shapiro takes his election seriously.

00:03:57.380 This is a business for these people.

00:03:59.180 They show up even with no message and no candidate, and that's why we have to continue to compete.

00:04:03.560 Yeah, we go to church, they go to politics, because it is a religion for these guys.

00:04:07.680 It's their theocracy.

00:04:08.680 It's their worship.

00:04:09.580 When they go and get involved in politics, for them, that's like reading scripture or something for us. 0.90

00:04:14.760 And we think it's ridiculous, but you know what?

00:04:16.860 We've got to fight the same way.

00:04:18.740 Yeah, and I think that's what it's all about.

00:04:20.260 I mean, we learned, like, look, we've got to double down.

00:04:22.840 We've got to take the lessons we learned in 24 and make those permanent, right?

00:04:26.820 We've got to stop listening to the consultant class.

00:04:28.880 Oh, my gosh.

00:04:29.120 They have no idea what they're doing.

00:04:30.560 It's more Karl Rove, money on TV, money on mail.

00:04:34.060 It's like, come on, guys.

00:04:35.200 The rules have changed.

00:04:36.980 We adapt or we die.

00:04:39.120 So I think it's actually a good wake-up call, this Lancaster race, and it's just seeing if the consultants will finally figure it out. 1.00

00:04:45.260 Kev, we've got some great Human Events daily fans.

00:04:47.840 Any fans of Real America's Voice here today?

00:04:50.140 Any fans of Real America's Voice?

00:04:52.500 They're watching us here.

00:04:53.620 They're all here from Pennsylvania. 0.99

00:04:56.280 Look, folks, this is what it's all about.

00:04:58.660 Pennsylvania is the play.

00:05:01.260 The keystone is the key.

00:05:02.840 And we love this great gathering of patriots.

00:05:05.380 We've got thousands of people coming in today.

00:05:07.540 We'll be speaking later today.

00:05:09.500 Kev is going to be prowling around outside.

00:05:12.020 He's looking for Antifa.

00:05:13.040 He's like, I wish a Tesla terrorist would.

00:05:15.260 I wish a Tesla terrorist would.

00:05:16.940 Welcome to the second American Revolution. 0.56

00:05:26.900 All right, Jack Posobiec, we're back live.

00:05:32.580 Human Events daily.

00:05:33.940 Real America's Voice here in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, for the Pennsylvania Leadership Conference.

00:05:40.420 And we also want to bring in now the third hour of the Charlie Kirk program on the Salem Radio Network.

00:05:46.180 In fact, Chris Tegall, the morning host on Salem Radio, just spoke a little while ago.

00:05:51.500 Another great son of Pennsylvania, like myself.

00:05:54.960 Look, we're here in Pennsylvania.

00:05:56.380 We're having this gathering of patriots.

00:05:58.720 That's what this is.

00:05:59.320 It's a patriot gathering.

00:06:00.260 But it's not a celebration.

00:06:01.680 This is a working meeting.

00:06:03.700 A working meeting of patriots.

00:06:05.480 A working meeting of people who want to take action.

00:06:07.520 That are tired of the same old, same old.

00:06:09.960 We're not going to show up every four years.

00:06:11.240 We're going to show up every single day putting our shoulder to the wheel and doing what we want and what we need for our commonwealth and across all of it.

00:06:19.660 We've got a lot of great fans here.

00:06:21.040 We've got a lot of folks coming up.

00:06:22.260 And, folks, before we get into that, I've got to tell you, look, they say, how do you do all this, Poso?

00:06:26.980 How do you do it all?

00:06:27.920 How do you have the energy?

00:06:29.200 You're going here.

00:06:30.420 You're going there.

00:06:31.020 You're in Ukraine with Secretary Besant.

00:06:32.740 You're coming back over.

00:06:34.220 You're in all these places.

00:06:35.480 You're up in Pennsylvania.

00:06:36.640 How do you keep going?

00:06:38.000 I say it's very simple.

00:06:38.880 I start my day every single day with a cup, maybe a couple of cups, of Blackout Coffee.

00:06:45.900 And if you want to have that same level of energy, that same level of drive day in and day out, you've got to go to blackoutcoffee.com, promo code Poso.

00:06:55.120 It's so simple.

00:06:56.200 And that promo code will save you big on your first order. 0.51

00:06:59.460 The best way to do it, honestly, just go get the yearly subscription.

00:07:02.800 You get it 12 months.

00:07:03.820 It's delivered straight to you.

00:07:05.480 Blackoutcoffee.com, promo code Poso.

00:07:07.460 So if you could tell, I had my Blackout Coffee before the program today, and that's how I'm able to go at the level that I'm going right now.

00:07:14.920 The only person that I think has a little bit more is President Trump.

00:07:18.660 I can't get you that stuff, but what I can get you is Blackout Coffee.

00:07:22.240 So go to blackoutcoffee.com, promo code Poso, a little bit of that Poso power.

00:07:27.840 So we're here, we're talking to grassroots, but we've also got local officials here, as well as State Representative Mike Jones from the great Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

00:07:37.720 Welcome to Human Events Daily.

00:07:38.840 Hey, thanks for having me, Jack.

00:07:39.920 It's great to be here.

00:07:40.700 So tell me, what's the importance of this conference, and what's the theme today going into 2025?

00:07:45.360 Well, the theme is we've got to put as much pressure as we possibly can on the Democrats who, unfortunately, control the House by one seat, and, of course, Governor Josh Shapiro.

00:07:56.880 Oh, no, 5'3", Josh Shapiro.

00:07:58.820 That's right.

00:07:59.140 Oh, no, my audience knows you can't say that name around me.

00:08:02.320 Oh, no, no, no.

00:08:02.840 But I will say this.

00:08:03.720 People, and I know you know this, but people need to take him.

00:08:06.760 He's a very serious threat politically.

00:08:08.620 Yes.

00:08:09.300 Oh, yes.

00:08:09.900 Which, the only, but, you know, it's a wolf in sheep's clothing.

00:08:14.840 He's a wolf in sheep's clothing.

00:08:16.140 He comes right in front of you, and he lies, the silky, sweet lies, the smooth lies, because he really believes it.

00:08:24.060 He really believes it.

00:08:25.020 He'll say whatever he wants.

00:08:26.060 By the way, wait, my brother Kevin's here.

00:08:27.740 Kevin, you've got to get the Josh Shapiro napkins.

00:08:30.120 Could he grab some of the napkins?

00:08:32.020 Folks, don't worry.

00:08:32.740 They've got Josh Shapiro napkins here.

00:08:34.380 This is how great.

00:08:35.000 I haven't seen this.

00:08:35.680 I know.

00:08:36.380 This is great.

00:08:36.860 I should have grabbed some before the show.

00:08:37.960 Well, who does he remind you of?

00:08:39.420 Everybody I talk to, he reminds me of.

00:08:40.900 Well, it's very clear to me that he's taken his mannerisms, his articulation, and his vocal timbre from Barack Obama.

00:08:49.920 Yeah, 100%.

00:08:50.460 He's got that.

00:08:51.480 And Pete Buttigieg kind of does this too, but Josh Shapiro does it to an even greater extent.

00:08:55.780 In fact, we were toying around last year with when he spoke a couple times after, by the way, Kamala Harris completely humiliated him by passing him over.

00:09:05.320 Remember, he's playing basketball in the front lawn with the kids with the Inquirer sitting out front.

00:09:10.300 He said, maybe I'll get the call.

00:09:12.180 Maybe he can't make a single hoop, but he's playing basketball with the kid.

00:09:16.080 Never gets the call.

00:09:17.640 Tim Walls gets the call.

00:09:18.760 We all know how the rest of the story is.

00:09:20.240 And so he got passed over for that, you know, 5'3", of course he can't play basketball.

00:09:26.060 But the thing is, people need to understand that he is a facsimile.

00:09:31.600 He is not telling his true nature.

00:09:33.260 No, it's very Obama-esque, as you said, his mannerisms, his way of speaking.

00:09:38.220 Almost everybody that observes him says it.

00:09:40.520 But the thing to remember about Obama.

00:09:42.440 There we go.

00:09:43.120 The Josh Shapiro.

00:09:44.040 Here, you can have one.

00:09:44.860 You can have one.

00:09:45.480 Thank you.

00:09:45.900 Stop Shapiro's tax.

00:09:46.700 Stop the Shapiro tax.

00:09:47.960 All the napkins here at the conference.

00:09:50.180 Stop Shapiro.

00:09:51.480 Stop Shapiro.

00:09:52.740 We love this.

00:09:53.560 Oh, it's so good.

00:09:54.700 The thing you've got to remember about Shapiro.

00:09:55.880 And you need napkins when Shapiro's around because you've always got to clean up something.

00:09:59.280 Well, he wants to be president.

00:10:00.660 That's what his motivation is.

00:10:01.880 But much like Obama, I call Obama the great deceiver. 0.70

00:10:06.440 Indeed.

00:10:06.800 And the masters, you could say, well, and I'm not comparing them literally, to be clear.

00:10:12.440 But if you look at the devil in the Bible.

00:10:14.340 But the style.

00:10:14.760 The style.

00:10:14.980 A lot of what the devil says in the Bible is technically true.

00:10:18.380 But he's a master deceiver.

00:10:22.620 And they're the masters of the half-truth, the white lie, the exaggeration.

00:10:26.880 And it sounds really good. 0.82

00:10:30.000 The father of all lies.

00:10:30.800 Yeah, it's a wolf in sheep's clothing. 0.94

00:10:32.880 And I'm not, to be clear, I'm not saying he's literally the devil.

00:10:35.880 No, no, but there's a parallel there.

00:10:37.820 And that's how Obama was.

00:10:38.780 I'll tell you.

00:10:39.260 So he was my county commissioner in Montgomery County.

00:10:41.400 I'm born and raised in Norristown, Pennsylvania.

00:10:43.100 And he was our county commissioner.

00:10:44.680 And he would sit there and tell you that he's done a great job.

00:10:46.700 I say, where did he do this great job?

00:10:48.720 Where was it done?

00:10:49.360 Was it done in his district when he was a state rep, which has now fallen apart?

00:10:53.840 Was it done in Norristown, where he sat and was serving for all this time?

00:10:56.580 And you look at Norristown, and it's completely flooded by illegal aliens. 0.95

00:10:59.280 It's flooded by fentanyl and crack and all the other stuff that's going on.

00:11:02.880 Murder with the hospitals getting torn down.

00:11:05.320 You think this is good?

00:11:06.880 This is the street I grew up on, the street I live with my mom and dad.

00:11:09.300 And I can't even take my kids there.

00:11:10.620 It's so much crime.

00:11:11.880 That was Josh Shapiro's area that he represented.

00:11:14.720 And now he's in the governor's mansion after being AG.

00:11:17.640 And I'm sorry, but the crime in Pennsylvania still hasn't been fixed.

00:11:20.340 All these problems haven't been fixed.

00:11:21.600 We started on Philadelphia, you know, Kiladelphia.

00:11:24.680 And so this is the guy.

00:11:26.040 What record is he supposed to run on?

00:11:27.980 But he'll walk up there and say everything's great.

00:11:29.680 He'll walk up there and say everything's fine.

00:11:30.320 Well, I mean, you don't have a media to call him out on it other than guys like yourself.

00:11:33.460 And it's the epitome of a career politician.

00:11:36.560 No private sector experience, which I came out of the business world.

00:11:39.780 That's one of my big pet peeves here.

00:11:41.320 Our state's getting older, smaller, and poorer by the day because of these taxes and regulations on business.

00:11:47.000 It's absolutely killing us.

00:11:48.480 The only demographic in Pennsylvania that's growing is the over 80 demographic.

00:11:51.960 Because we're chasing employers and young people with them because they follow the jobs right out of the state.

00:11:58.200 And something that people don't talk about nearly enough,

00:12:01.520 yet they keep beating that same union drum, regulatory drum, let's tax the rich, tax the businesses. 0.85

00:12:07.680 We're going to run out of rich people and businesses to tax the way we're going in Pennsylvania.

00:12:10.720 Yeah, and a lot of people left during COVID.

00:12:12.640 And then the kids, we have the brain drain because people will come to Pennsylvania and go to school, 0.91

00:12:16.720 and then they immediately leave and get out as soon as they get that degree.

00:12:19.300 Lost another congressional seat, an electoral vote with it this last sentence or census.

00:12:24.000 Right.

00:12:24.140 You know, especially, you know, meanwhile, North Carolina and Tennessee and others are reaping the benefits.

00:12:29.300 So that's the state of the Commonwealth.

00:12:31.280 That's why people said we need change.

00:12:33.060 That's why they voted for President Trump.

00:12:34.700 What are people doing here at the conference today, people who care about our state, who love our state?

00:12:40.200 What are people doing to get things back on the right track?

00:12:42.720 Well, what I hope we're doing is getting energized.

00:12:44.800 It was a beautiful day, November 5th, I guess it was.

00:12:49.400 I'm still celebrating.

00:12:52.880 But I think people got laxed.

00:12:54.860 So we lost this state Senate race in Lancaster that Trump won that seat by 15.

00:12:59.400 Now, part of it is a lot of Republicans haven't figured out that they need to get on the Trump bandwagon.

00:13:04.060 It's mind-boggling to me that they don't get the message.

00:13:07.220 But I think you also have a lot of complacency.

00:13:09.700 It's like Trump won, everything's good.

00:13:11.280 What we need to do here is start the process of really energizing our grassroots and getting out the vote.

00:13:17.380 The biggest single thing are these retention votes for the PA state Supreme Court.

00:13:22.740 Because as bad as Wolf and Shapiro were and are, you can make a strong argument the last six, seven, eight years,

00:13:28.680 the state Supreme Court has done more damage, redistricting being the single, unconstitutional redistricting being the single biggest example.

00:13:36.200 They took our district not, they basically shredded it.

00:13:39.820 And then they outsourced the entire thing to some college professor out of California and said,

00:13:44.280 this is a guy who's going to redraw your equitable district.

00:13:46.680 It's a joke.

00:13:47.460 I said, why don't they just ask the donors of the Pennsylvania Democrat Party who they would like to be congressmen and representatives?

00:13:54.180 Because that's so obvious what they're doing.

00:13:55.620 Well, and you had judges running on that.

00:13:57.220 We made a big mistake by not impeaching at a bare minimum Justice Weck.

00:14:01.080 Probably should have impeached a couple of them five, six years ago when we were in the majority when I first got up to Harrisburg.

00:14:06.580 Instead, we said idly by and watch them.

00:14:09.580 They cost us two or three congressional seats, almost took out Scott Perry back in, I guess that would have been 16 or 18.

00:14:16.280 No, they were headhunting for them.

00:14:17.080 And then they cost us the majority in the House blatantly unconstitutional.

00:14:21.580 We're headed off to a break.

00:14:23.380 Where can people go to follow you and get more information?

00:14:25.420 State Rep Mike Jones on Facebook, and Mike Jones for PA is the other one, and I'm down in south-central York County.

00:14:34.540 Oh, we love York County.

00:14:35.640 We're on the big red wall here in Pennsylvania.

00:14:37.720 You said at the Round the Clock diner, is that still going?

00:14:39.260 Yes, sir, they're good friends of mine, the Saccarellises.

00:14:41.580 I love it with the hot rod on the roof.

00:14:42.980 I spearheaded and reopened York with Veronica over here and about a dozen others.

00:14:47.160 Let's go, I know.

00:14:47.760 And the Saccarellises were the front and center on that. 0.98

00:14:51.300 We'll be right back.

00:14:51.780 Patriots.

00:14:52.300 Thank you.

00:14:52.640 Thank you.

00:14:55.420 Today, you know, they talk about influencers.

00:15:06.280 These are influencers, and they're friends of mine.

00:15:10.520 Jack Prasovic.

00:15:12.080 Where's Jack?

00:15:12.980 Jack.

00:15:13.960 He's done a great job.

00:15:19.260 All right, folks, we're back here.

00:15:22.100 What's up, guys?

00:15:22.660 Are we excited for President Trump in Pennsylvania?

00:15:25.860 Are we excited to be here for the Pennsylvania chase?

00:15:29.660 Oh, yeah.

00:15:29.980 Are we excited to be here to take back Pennsylvania from little Josh Shapiro?

00:15:36.100 Woo! 0.99

00:15:36.880 Do we like Josh Shapiro?

00:15:38.900 Woo! 0.99

00:15:40.440 Is Josh Shapiro 5'3"?

00:15:42.280 He is.

00:15:43.020 He is.

00:15:43.560 With the platform.

00:15:44.500 He is.

00:15:44.840 With his platform shoes.

00:15:46.400 I mean, we love this.

00:15:48.620 We're right here.

00:15:49.280 Josh Shapiro is just across.

00:15:51.500 Basically, he's right down the street, right?

00:15:52.760 Right down the street from the governor's mansion.

00:15:54.140 He's not at the leadership conference for Pennsylvania.

00:15:56.020 He didn't show up, though.

00:15:56.460 Let's be clear.

00:15:57.200 Why didn't he show up?

00:15:58.460 Not a leader.

00:15:59.080 I would have loved to come.

00:16:00.240 Kevin wanted to see him so much.

00:16:02.600 I'm hurt.

00:16:03.740 I'm so hurt.

00:16:04.520 Did he hear that we were going to ask some interesting questions about some of these court cases?

00:16:08.280 Some of these skeletons that, oh, gosh.

00:16:11.460 You know, because he looks so nice when you see him.

00:16:13.400 He looks so put together.

00:16:15.120 He's so articulate.

00:16:15.960 He's so smart.

00:16:17.300 He's so well-spoken.

00:16:18.200 But then you start digging into his past, and oh, my gosh, there's a lot there.

00:16:22.380 There's a lot there.

00:16:23.180 He's got more skeletons than a graveyard.

00:16:24.880 Oh, more skeletons than a graveyard.

00:16:26.120 We got a couple Patriots over here.

00:16:27.640 We want to bring up Joe?

00:16:28.840 I like Patriots.

00:16:30.020 Should we bring some Patriots?

00:16:30.880 Joe D'Orsi, join us over here, will you?

00:16:32.840 We got another state rep.

00:16:34.260 We got Joe D'Orsi.

00:16:35.520 Stay right here.

00:16:35.980 Let's do this.

00:16:36.380 We'll do a little producing on the fly.

00:16:37.980 I'll give him.

00:16:38.880 Oh, no, Joe.

00:16:39.600 Joe, you're right here, right here.

00:16:41.720 We're doing it live, folks.

00:16:42.980 We're doing it live.

00:16:43.760 It's okay.

00:16:44.140 It's Pennsylvania style.

00:16:45.440 We're Pennsylvanians.

00:16:46.280 We can figure it out.

00:16:47.240 We may not be there the fastest, but we'll get there.

00:16:50.300 State representative, thank you so much for joining us on Human Events Daily.

00:16:53.140 Tell me, what brings you out today, and what do you think are the biggest issues facing Pennsylvania that you're going to address here at the conference?

00:17:00.020 Well, I mean, we're all gathered.

00:17:01.780 We're of like mind for liberty, limited government.

00:17:04.860 And free market principles.

00:17:07.640 Amen.

00:17:08.000 I think that's pretty rational.

00:17:10.120 I think a lot of the people in this building are for that.

00:17:12.860 I think energy is a big topic for Pennsylvanians.

00:17:16.380 Affordable energy.

00:17:17.380 We have so much natural gas under our feet.

00:17:19.540 It's right here.

00:17:20.580 It's right here to power the rest of the United States and our allies abroad.

00:17:24.020 I think education, school choice.

00:17:26.260 I carry a universal school choice bill in the House.

00:17:29.220 I think that's a big topic.

00:17:30.780 And just the economy.

00:17:32.000 I've seen a ton of tabling here for school choice, by the way.

00:17:35.160 Yep.

00:17:35.440 And, you know, you're talking about little Josh.

00:17:37.620 I mean, he talks about Pennsylvania being competitive as hell.

00:17:40.780 Fact is, we've lost 300,000 people to states with greener economic pastures over the last 15 years.

00:17:48.340 Have you noticed that little Josh, he seems to think that if he curses, that makes whatever he says believable or makes him seem tough?

00:17:55.140 Like, no, it doesn't.

00:17:56.680 It actually makes you seem weird and creepy.

00:17:58.960 It does.

00:17:59.720 And he also likes to talk about sports a lot.

00:18:03.220 He's all about the Phillies.

00:18:04.680 He's all about the Pirates, Penn State.

00:18:06.640 But I'm not sure how much he knows about sports.

00:18:10.460 Well, and what's funny, too, is he'll do that.

00:18:12.620 He'll say, oh, I'm a lifelong Eagles fan.

00:18:14.840 But then he'll say he's also a Steelers fan.

00:18:16.720 And, look, if you know anything about Pennsylvania, you don't mix.

00:18:20.220 You do not mix.

00:18:21.320 No true Eagles fan would ever say that they're a Steelers fan and vice versa.

00:18:26.740 You would not.

00:18:27.300 You're going to have a terrible towel one day, you know, and you're hanging out with, like, the Philly Fanatic and the Phillies.

00:18:32.300 It just doesn't work.

00:18:33.480 It doesn't track.

00:18:34.060 So just be honest, Josh.

00:18:35.940 Just be honest.

00:18:36.360 But he can't.

00:18:37.260 He just can't because he is not constitutionally capable of being honest.

00:18:42.420 Yeah, I mean, he's a Montgomery County guy.

00:18:44.340 So, I mean, just you're a Phillies and Eagles fan.

00:18:46.860 You can't trust those Montgomery County guys.

00:18:48.940 You're right.

00:18:50.060 Phillies, Eagles, just go with it.

00:18:51.800 Yeah, just go with it.

00:18:52.440 Pennsylvania's respect a true fan and not a bandwagon guy.

00:18:55.280 It's exactly.

00:18:56.140 And that's 100% who he is.

00:18:57.980 I love we've got the – have you seen these?

00:18:59.760 I'll give you one of these.

00:19:00.500 We've got the Josh Shapiro napkins here because whenever – that's for you, State Rep.

00:19:05.140 So whenever – here's one for you, Cliff, as well.

00:19:07.260 Because whenever Josh Shapiro's around, there's a mess you need to clean up.

00:19:09.920 So we've got Stop Shapiro, and this is for the tax hike.

00:19:13.040 What are the tax hikes that he's pushing right now?

00:19:15.060 Well, his energy plan would translate to a tax hike on ratepayers.

00:19:22.980 So he changes the acronym like every week.

00:19:25.080 It used to be REGI, now it's PACER.

00:19:27.040 I think there's a new one now.

00:19:28.440 They just shift the goalpost.

00:19:30.220 That's the major one.

00:19:31.580 I think also budget-wise, his budget would spend this year $51.47 billion,

00:19:37.620 spends down our surplus, and the projection is that we'll be out of money.

00:19:42.060 And then when we're out of surplus, we're out of the rainy day fund, that's a tax hike.

00:19:47.480 So that's where we're headed.

00:19:48.380 And that's what comes next, and he's setting it up for a tax hike

00:19:50.560 because he's going to be saying that, oh, we want to continue our services.

00:19:54.460 There's only one way to do it, folks.

00:19:56.100 We've got to raise taxes.

00:19:58.420 Where can people go to follow you to get more information

00:20:00.820 and really find out the truth about Josh Shapiro?

00:20:03.220 Yeah, so I'm on X, Joe D for PA, also on Instagram and Facebook under the same name, Joe D for PA.

00:20:09.300 Joe D for PA, look, that's a real patriot there, a Pennsylvania patriot.

00:20:14.280 Look, we're here today in the great commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

00:20:17.760 PA is the play.

00:20:19.280 The keystone is the key.

00:20:20.600 And look, if you thought it was just me who's got a bone to pick with little Josh Shapiro,

00:20:24.800 guess what?

00:20:25.280 I'm surrounded by an entire thousands of patriots who agree with me.

00:20:30.720 We'll be right back here.

00:20:32.120 Human Events Daily continues.

00:20:35.660 That was perfect.

00:20:36.600 Thank you.

00:20:36.880 Thank you.

00:20:39.300 And Jack, where is Jack?

00:20:44.380 Where's Jack?

00:20:46.500 Where is he?

00:20:47.800 Jack, I want to see you.

00:20:51.440 Great job, Jack.

00:20:52.880 Thank you.

00:20:53.640 What a job you do.

00:20:55.060 You know, we have an incredible thing.

00:20:56.460 We're always talking about the fake news and the bad, but we have guys,

00:21:00.220 and these are the guys who should be getting Pulisic.

00:21:02.240 All right, Jack Posobiec, we are back live, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

00:21:09.980 We're at the Pennsylvania Leadership Conference.

00:21:12.440 We're meeting with local leaders, grassroots leaders, patriots, all from the four corners

00:21:19.120 of this vast commonwealth.

00:21:20.660 And we're also very honored to have on someone who is a statewide elected official in this

00:21:28.400 commonwealth.

00:21:29.000 It is the treasurer of Pennsylvania, Stacey Garrity.

00:21:31.300 Thank you so much for joining us, Stacey.

00:21:32.500 Jack, thanks for having me.

00:21:33.660 And first, before we start.

00:21:35.660 Oh?

00:21:36.260 Yes.

00:21:36.880 So, Navy Intelligence Officer.

00:21:38.980 That's right.

00:21:39.520 That's right.

00:21:40.020 So, I'm retired Army.

00:21:40.980 There we go.

00:21:41.480 So, Challenge Coin.

00:21:42.600 There you go.

00:21:43.160 Yeah, thank you for your service.

00:21:44.440 Oh, wow.

00:21:44.720 Wow.

00:21:45.800 Who it to you.

00:21:46.620 Thank you so much for this.

00:21:48.340 How long were you in?

00:21:49.180 30 years.

00:21:49.820 30 years.

00:21:50.200 Tell us a little bit about what you did in the Army.

00:21:51.620 Oh, my gosh.

00:21:52.220 So, military police, but my, so I had three deployments, all detention operations.

00:21:56.840 So, my last deployment.

00:21:57.780 Oh, so I was at Guantanamo.

00:21:59.060 Yeah.

00:21:59.260 So, I work with you guys all the time.

00:22:00.900 Yeah.

00:22:00.960 I know.

00:22:01.420 So, of course, military police hate detention operations.

00:22:04.220 That was all three deployments that I had.

00:22:06.160 And on my last deployment.

00:22:07.620 Which you can't be an actual cop.

00:22:08.780 Exactly.

00:22:09.140 I was acting battalion commander at Camp Buka in southern Iraq.

00:22:12.480 Oh, wow.

00:22:12.580 So, we had 7,000 detainees.

00:22:14.360 Wow.

00:22:14.680 225 on death row.

00:22:16.800 And then I had the SHUV special housing unit, which I know you're familiar with.

00:22:19.980 Oh, yeah.

00:22:20.540 So, we were the first internment facility to have zero escape attempts and zero abuse allegations.

00:22:26.260 So, you know, kudos to the NCOs.

00:22:29.020 Now, was Abu Ghraib during that period, around about then?

00:22:32.180 No.

00:22:32.520 So, Abu Ghraib was 03, 04.

00:22:34.560 Right.

00:22:34.700 This was 08, 09.

00:22:35.480 Okay, gotcha.

00:22:36.460 Right.

00:22:37.000 So, I hit my mandatory retirement date in 2016.

00:22:41.140 Had I not hit my mandatory retirement date, I would not be standing here with you because

00:22:45.580 serving wasn't as the honor of my lifetime.

00:22:47.400 What do you think about what Secretary Hegseth has done so far?

00:22:51.060 You know, I think it's great.

00:22:52.260 You know, we couldn't even recruit because, you know, when people join the military, it's

00:22:57.300 not for DEI.

00:22:58.360 It's because they want to serve.

00:22:59.940 No.

00:23:00.080 Yeah.

00:23:00.120 And they want to be a warfighter.

00:23:01.080 Yeah, exactly.

00:23:01.780 They want to.

00:23:02.300 I mean, it's to be all they can be.

00:23:05.220 Yes.

00:23:05.760 Right.

00:23:05.940 You want to see how far you can go.

00:23:06.940 You want to challenge yourself.

00:23:07.740 You don't want diminished standards.

00:23:09.280 Once you lower your standards, you know, it's so hard to get them back up.

00:23:11.640 So, is that what you saw as you were in?

00:23:13.500 Did you see that coming?

00:23:14.780 I started seeing it coming.

00:23:16.180 So, I was a battalion commander, had first trans soldier, and we were going to a weapons 1.00

00:23:23.320 quall at Fort Indiantown Gap.

00:23:26.380 And so, I had to give my first sergeant a credit card because I couldn't, I'm responsible

00:23:31.440 for all these young women.

00:23:32.940 I could not have a trans in the barracks. 1.00

00:23:35.540 Wait, wait.

00:23:36.140 So, they were required to be in the barracks?

00:23:38.420 Well, they had no other provisions because this was like when it was brand, brand new.

00:23:42.640 So, yeah.

00:23:43.540 So, I'm like, here, go get a room.

00:23:45.180 Go get a room.

00:23:45.920 Go stay out in town.

00:23:46.560 Yeah, like I can't.

00:23:47.360 You're going to stay out in town.

00:23:48.220 These parents would, yeah, have a field day if they heard about that.

00:23:51.340 And they should.

00:23:51.800 Because you have the responsibility of female soldiers. 1.00

00:23:53.260 Exactly.

00:23:54.100 Exactly. 0.65

00:23:54.780 And it's so ridiculous what we're doing.

00:23:56.700 And the fact that you're up there, you're trying to train for weapons qualifications.

00:24:00.760 You're trying to actually, you know, put rounds down range.

00:24:04.840 Right, and you have these distractions.

00:24:06.000 You shouldn't have to be worried about these distractions.

00:24:08.180 And, you know, you just mentioned you had to take time and you had to take resources to go and deal with all of this,

00:24:14.120 which, as we all know, that gets in the way of what?

00:24:16.440 The mission.

00:24:17.180 It does.

00:24:17.800 It does.

00:24:18.280 It absolutely does.

00:24:19.020 You're here in Pennsylvania.

00:24:20.040 I am.

00:24:21.000 And you're also the Pennsylvania State Treasurer.

00:24:23.000 So, the biggest finances has been a huge piece of this going forward.

00:24:27.740 We're all talking about the Trump tariffs.

00:24:29.280 This is the big thing this week.

00:24:30.760 I call it the great deal.

00:24:32.000 I think it's the great deal because this is the first time that we've seen in years an actual bailout, not for Wall Street, but for Main Street.

00:24:40.900 They've been getting a bad deal.

00:24:42.440 Now it's a great deal.

00:24:43.560 But you tell me.

00:24:44.520 I'm not going to sit here and vamp.

00:24:46.720 Tell me what the tariffs mean for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

00:24:49.100 Okay.

00:24:49.320 So, I say it's very short-term pain for a tremendous long-term gain.

00:24:54.700 Kind of like leg day.

00:24:55.440 Exactly.

00:24:56.140 Exactly.

00:24:56.940 And for folks that are complaining about prices going up, well, where were they when we were losing millions of manufacturing jobs overseas?

00:25:06.680 And, you know, I have a manufacturing background.

00:25:08.400 I spent 30 years at the largest tungsten smelter in the Western world.

00:25:11.820 We had to shut down an entire business unit.

00:25:13.960 225 jobs went.

00:25:15.660 And you know where they went.

00:25:16.780 They went to China.

00:25:17.660 Of course.

00:25:18.420 Exactly.

00:25:18.860 They all go to China.

00:25:19.440 And so all President Trump's asking for is treat us like we treat you.

00:25:24.680 Full stop.

00:25:25.680 End of story.

00:25:26.620 And so do you believe that with this tariff policy, and by the way, the great deal is more than just tariffs because you've got also the ability for tax on tips.

00:25:37.040 You've got the Social Security and the energy benefits that are going to be coming when we actually get American energy dominance back online.

00:25:43.280 By the way, you know, we've obviously got the LNG right here in the Commonwealth.

00:25:47.740 What do you think the effect will be once this really comes to realization?

00:25:52.500 Oh, I think it's going to be thousands and thousands of families sustaining jobs.

00:25:56.700 Wow.

00:25:56.900 And you know what?

00:25:57.500 It's more than bringing manufacturing jobs back to the United States.

00:26:01.200 Anything that we can do to encourage manufacturing here, it's a matter of national security.

00:26:04.900 Of course.

00:26:05.520 Yes.

00:26:05.880 And we all learned this during COVID.

00:26:08.500 We did.

00:26:08.940 And COVID hit Pennsylvania very hard because of Governor Tom Wolf at the time.

00:26:13.040 You know, we've got, by the way, I'm sure that our current governor would be just the same policies, possibly even worse policies.

00:26:19.280 Absolutely.

00:26:19.460 So, of course, he would exempt himself the same way that Tom Wolf exempted his own company from all of the policies.

00:26:25.140 So as a statewide elected official, do you work with Josh Shapiro on a regular basis with the governor?

00:26:30.120 I work with the budget office.

00:26:32.440 Okay.

00:26:32.700 I do have some dealings with Josh Shapiro.

00:26:35.500 So from a financial standpoint, you know, we work well together.

00:26:41.560 Okay.

00:26:41.960 I mean, this isn't commonly known, but we do Doge in Pennsylvania.

00:26:46.840 Okay.

00:26:47.300 Talk to me about that.

00:26:48.100 Tell me about that.

00:26:48.700 Because my office makes all the payments of all 70 agencies, over 70 agencies, which, by the way, if you ask me, way too many agencies.

00:26:56.820 That's a lot of agencies.

00:26:57.640 So we have stopped billions and billions of dollars from going out the door in improper payments.

00:27:02.480 Just last fiscal year alone, we stopped $1.7 billion from going out the door.

00:27:06.900 But we could be doing so much more at the agency level if we had the right person in the governor's mansion.

00:27:13.880 I was going to ask, I mean, certainly the governor must be supportive of that.

00:27:17.300 I mean, that's waste, fraud, and abuse, right?

00:27:19.640 Hopefully he is.

00:27:20.460 But I'll tell you what, just at the Department of Revenue, we spent almost $50 million of taxpayer money last year because they gave taxpayers their refunds late.

00:27:30.140 So not only, think about that, wrap your head around it.

00:27:33.120 Not only did we give taxpayers their refunds back late, but then we had to pay more money, and it's taxpayer dollars.

00:27:41.760 So there's, you know.

00:27:42.820 So you're, it's, it's right.

00:27:44.060 So it's government, it's, it's government incompetence that is actually costing more money in real dollars that you have to send out,

00:27:52.740 even though it's taxpayer dollars to begin with.

00:27:55.660 Exactly. 0.97

00:27:55.960 It's ridiculous. 0.98

00:27:56.620 It is. 0.99

00:27:56.960 It's totally ridiculous. 0.58

00:27:57.720 So I think there should be effort at the agency level because, you know, I'm limited in what I could do.

00:28:06.240 Of course.

00:28:06.260 So there's so much more we could do.

00:28:07.940 And now when you, when you look at the state of Pennsylvania's finances, obviously, you know, we have, I don't know if you've seen these,

00:28:13.300 these napkins that have been going around.

00:28:15.420 I love these.

00:28:15.840 Stop Shapiro tax.

00:28:17.220 I'm going to take one.

00:28:18.100 Oh, there's a ton of, they're all over the place here at the conference.

00:28:21.240 And when we look at this, this really is about the fiscal health of the state, isn't it?

00:28:25.100 It is.

00:28:25.500 It really is.

00:28:26.080 And it's, you know, we're at a crossroads.

00:28:28.980 We're not doing that well.

00:28:30.260 So just this year alone, we will spend $3.5 billion more than what we bring in.

00:28:37.180 Next year, it's going to be $6 billion.

00:28:38.980 The year after, $6.9 billion, you know, assuming that, you know, revenues are pretty constant.

00:28:44.680 Right.

00:28:44.740 So no matter how you look at it, we're out of money in three years.

00:28:48.440 Out of money, which means one of two things.

00:28:51.000 And neither of them are good.

00:28:51.880 So everything in the state's coffers is being spent out.

00:28:54.480 Yes.

00:28:54.580 Whatever surplus is there is being spent out.

00:28:56.980 We don't have a Fort Knox here.

00:28:58.400 Fort Indiantown Gap doesn't have a whole room full of gold up in there.

00:29:01.180 No, unfortunately not.

00:29:01.520 Not that I've seen.

00:29:02.340 You were the battalion man.

00:29:03.300 But so what is the governor's plan then?

00:29:08.400 Well, they just keep throwing more money and hoping, you know, something different happens.

00:29:14.780 Well, and this is what they do.

00:29:15.580 It's every, and I follow, I watch every, oh, I watch him like a hawk.

00:29:18.980 I watch him like a hawk.

00:29:20.400 Every week there's a new program.

00:29:22.240 There is.

00:29:22.500 There's a new announcement.

00:29:23.380 And I get it.

00:29:24.340 That's how you, that's how you build popularity.

00:29:26.560 But ultimately what you're doing is you're spending other people's money.

00:29:29.520 Exactly.

00:29:30.340 And, you know, it's really unconscionable.

00:29:32.660 And I think the money runs out in time for him to run for, you know, his next higher office.

00:29:38.340 Right.

00:29:38.480 And so the money will run out.

00:29:39.580 And look, he was my county commissioner.

00:29:41.200 So I'm from Norristown, Pennsylvania.

00:29:42.620 He was my county commissioner.

00:29:44.040 He ran that county into the ground.

00:29:45.460 He certainly ran Norristown into the ground as in, you know, in the sense that he represented 0.99

00:29:49.520 the area and worked right at the Norristown courthouse.

00:29:52.780 This is the county seat of Montgomery County.

00:29:54.420 And he didn't care.

00:29:55.260 Why?

00:29:55.660 Because he just moved on to the next job.

00:29:56.980 He just moved on to attorney general.

00:29:58.120 And then when he was attorney general, crime went absolutely crazy in particular the city

00:30:03.140 of Philadelphia and didn't care about that.

00:30:05.880 Why?

00:30:06.160 He just bounced off to his next job.

00:30:07.820 Exactly.

00:30:08.080 And nobody ever holds him accountable.

00:30:09.680 No.

00:30:09.960 You go past Independence Hall.

00:30:11.500 And what do you see?

00:30:12.320 Filth?

00:30:12.840 Crime?

00:30:13.300 No.

00:30:13.480 The homeless tenants. 0.93

00:30:14.040 Drug addicts. 0.99

00:30:14.640 Drug addicts.

00:30:14.880 The people beating each other to death in the streets, which happened recently.

00:30:17.920 It's horrific.

00:30:18.700 Yes.

00:30:18.960 Something has to go.

00:30:19.780 Kensington and Allegheny, the K&A, those corners, when I was a kid, and I'm talking

00:30:24.960 like 80s, 90s, you could go shopping there.

00:30:28.280 And now it's like they call it Kensington Beach, and it's the Fentanyl Highway.

00:30:31.640 It's horrific.

00:30:32.200 I know.

00:30:32.500 It is awful.

00:30:33.140 I have relatives that come in from out of state, and they've called me and said,

00:30:36.320 Stacey, what happened to Philadelphia?

00:30:38.280 Yeah.

00:30:38.740 Yeah.

00:30:39.060 So we really are going to, we're at a crossroads.

00:30:42.820 Something has to give.

00:30:44.000 I mean, even look at education.

00:30:45.800 We are in the top 20% of all states.

00:30:48.980 We spend over $22,000 per student per year on education, and guess what?

00:30:54.480 A little over 50% of our 8th graders are proficient in reading and math.

00:30:59.060 So it's not, you know, it's oil and gas.

00:31:03.060 Reggie, you know, Ohio, Virginia, they're kicking our butts because nobody wants to invest

00:31:09.100 in the Commonwealth because, you know, particularly in oil and gas, because you have this Reggie,

00:31:14.160 Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative.

00:31:16.000 Regulations.

00:31:16.440 Yeah, which is an illegal tax disguised as a regulation.

00:31:20.600 And this is what, when President Trump ran, when he talked about the fracking, when he

00:31:23.380 talked about, we have these massive LNG reserves under Western Pennsylvania that are a gift

00:31:30.100 from God.

00:31:30.980 They are a gift.

00:31:31.380 To the citizens of this Commonwealth.

00:31:33.580 And you've got these crazy taxes that are pushed by the Democrats, pushed by the Green 0.83

00:31:37.660 Movement, and won't actually allow us to tap into our own resources.

00:31:41.900 And so if you want energy dominance, why not use the energy that's right here under our feet?

00:31:46.900 Exactly.

00:31:47.740 I mean, we should be exporting so much more.

00:31:50.880 Of course.

00:31:51.020 And that would be transformative.

00:31:52.040 And what does it do?

00:31:52.860 It brings the price of oil down on the international market.

00:31:56.220 And inflation down.

00:31:57.580 And it brings inflation down.

00:31:58.420 It brings all the prices down.

00:31:59.780 Then the tariffs come in.

00:32:00.980 And guess what?

00:32:01.860 Now American goods can become more competitive on the open market.

00:32:05.700 And what does that bring back?

00:32:06.700 The manufacturing jobs.

00:32:08.200 Exactly, exactly.

00:32:09.440 And again, just like manufacturing jobs, energy security is national security.

00:32:14.760 And we see that, you know, all over the world.

00:32:17.700 Stacey, tell people where can they go to follow you, to follow your work, because there's few

00:32:22.100 people that are speaking truth to power here in Pennsylvania, but you're one of them.

00:32:25.180 Thank you, Jack.

00:32:25.740 So you can follow me on X, at Garrity for PA, or on Facebook at Stacey Garrity for Pennsylvania.

00:32:31.740 Look, you've got to go be following her.

00:32:33.880 If you're in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, or if you're interested in what's going on

00:32:38.020 in these states, look, Pennsylvania went red in 2024.

00:32:41.220 But guess what?

00:32:42.040 President Trump, as far as we know, won't be on the ballot again.

00:32:45.960 As far as we know, just saying, as of right now, you never know.

00:32:48.860 You never know for sure.

00:32:49.520 Maybe Vance Trump.

00:32:50.420 I don't know.

00:32:51.140 We'll see.

00:32:51.600 There's some rumors.

00:32:52.300 There's some things being floated.

00:32:53.600 But we need to build the networks out.

00:32:56.760 We can't just assume that because Trump won, that everything's going to be fixed with a

00:33:00.700 magic wand.

00:33:01.420 That's not how it works.

00:33:02.460 And if you care about your country, and if you care about the way this country goes,

00:33:06.100 the swing states of the Rust Belt, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Michigan, it runs through here.

00:33:11.940 This is the beating heart of MAGA.

00:33:13.640 God bless, Stacey.

00:33:14.320 Thank you so much for coming on.

00:33:15.540 Thank you.

00:33:15.960 Thank you, Jack.

00:33:25.740 Jack is a great guy.

00:33:27.260 He's written that fantastic book.

00:33:29.020 Everybody's talking about it.

00:33:30.180 Go get it.

00:33:30.740 And he's been, my friend, right from the beginning of this whole beautiful event.

00:33:35.280 And we're going to turn it around and make our country pray to you.

00:33:38.380 Amen.

00:33:38.820 I'm not sure why the president of the United States wants to do this to our small businesses,

00:33:44.720 wants to harm our main streets.

00:33:47.080 But here in Pennsylvania, I want you to know that I give a damn about our small businesses.

00:33:51.880 And I give a damn about our main streets.

00:33:54.980 And I am trying, together with these lawmakers, to make life easier for our small businesses.

00:34:01.060 Shapiro visited a brewery in Bethlehem this afternoon in the Lehigh Valley region.

00:34:06.520 I just wish the president wasn't working against us as recklessly as he is.

00:34:13.660 This tariff war that he is starting, this button that he is pushing, is going to have one effect.

00:34:22.020 And that effect is to drive up costs on consumers and businesses throughout Pennsylvania at a time where we can't afford that.

00:34:30.300 All right, Jack Posobiec back live here, Human Events Daily.

00:34:34.740 We are in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

00:34:37.560 We've got the Stop Shapiro napkins that we've got up because we've got to have the napkins 0.54

00:34:43.080 because whenever Josh Shapiro is around, he always makes a mess.

00:34:46.920 So this is amazing.

00:34:48.620 We've got them all over the event.

00:34:50.260 Everybody's got them.

00:34:51.480 It's actually amazing.

00:34:52.560 I love that we're doing this.

00:34:53.940 And we're here with State Senator Heber.

00:34:56.420 Thank you so much for joining us on Human Events Daily.

00:34:59.180 Now, I'd love if I could get, if you wanted, to respond to our illustrious Governor Shapiro,

00:35:04.940 five foot three that he is, that he's saying that the tariffs and everything that President Trump is doing

00:35:09.900 is going to hurt Pennsylvania.

00:35:11.940 It's going to cause pain to Pennsylvania.

00:35:13.800 Is that your view?

00:35:14.620 Do you see that as happening?

00:35:15.760 I don't.

00:35:16.280 And we've got to do something different because what's going on now,

00:35:18.980 what had been going on for the past four years, was decimating Pennsylvania.

00:35:23.340 Our population continues to decline.

00:35:26.400 The biggest import we have are old people. 1.00

00:35:29.180 We're losing jobs.

00:35:31.060 Manufacturing's going to nothing in Pennsylvania.

00:35:33.560 We have no help.

00:35:34.780 We're not producing energy like we were once producing energy.

00:35:38.180 We have a lot going wrong with us.

00:35:40.380 We have so much opportunity, though.

00:35:42.820 Well, and this is what, when President Trump ran, he talked about fracking.

00:35:45.660 He talked about wanting to have Pennsylvania energy be this beacon and be this absolute,

00:35:53.720 it's literally a gold mine.

00:35:55.720 It is actually a gold mine that we're all sitting on top of.

00:35:58.600 He was talking about building pipelines down to Philadelphia, where we've obviously got

00:36:02.460 the energy hookup there.

00:36:04.440 So you can do the transfer, you put it on the river, and you're out to sea.

00:36:06.600 It's on the open market.

00:36:07.580 You could be selling Pennsylvania energy all around the world.

00:36:10.700 But Josh Shapiro isn't letting that happen.

00:36:13.280 Right.

00:36:13.460 He stifled everything that we have.

00:36:15.040 So he doubled down on what Biden did.

00:36:17.300 He said, hey, I'm not going to do Reggie.

00:36:18.740 But, oh, yes, I am.

00:36:19.700 He's going to court to fight in support of Reggie.

00:36:22.460 And Reggie, these are the green regulations.

00:36:24.580 Walk us through what that is for the audience.

00:36:26.580 Reggie's the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative.

00:36:28.660 So it's basically a cap-and-trade.

00:36:30.240 We're going to sell carbon credits.

00:36:33.040 It's a scheme.

00:36:34.280 It's a virtual selling of nothing, back and forth between consumers.

00:36:37.940 It does nothing, or between businesses.

00:36:39.960 It does nothing for the actual environment, right?

00:36:42.520 But, again, it's a cap-and-trade scheme.

00:36:45.080 Right.

00:36:45.280 And so companies who look at Pennsylvania say, well, why would I want to invest if I have

00:36:49.640 to deal with all this?

00:36:50.440 Where are the companies going?

00:36:51.920 Right.

00:36:52.120 So Ohio is eating our lunch, and now West Virginia is eating our lunch.

00:36:55.980 West Virginia is eating our lunch.

00:36:58.180 So for folks to understand, the way the Marcellus Shale find SIDS, it's in that sort of corner

00:37:03.320 of Pennsylvania.

00:37:04.480 So it's western Pennsylvania, eastern Ohio, not far from where East Palestine is, and

00:37:08.160 the train crash, remember that, when J.D. Vance went, and then West Virginia buttresses

00:37:12.140 it to the south, right there.

00:37:13.720 So where they don't have these regulations, that's where the companies are going.

00:37:17.660 And let's be clear.

00:37:18.460 It's not that they don't have all of the regulations.

00:37:20.920 They have regulations, right?

00:37:22.060 Of course, of course.

00:37:22.320 We're being good stewards of our resources, but they're letting the market take charge

00:37:28.080 there, right?

00:37:28.660 The market is actually booming there.

00:37:30.960 And so Ohio loves Pennsylvania, loves us.

00:37:33.220 They love taking our workers. 0.76

00:37:34.300 They love taking our money, our revenue.

00:37:37.700 They're exploiting everything they can possibly exploit.

00:37:40.440 And in Pennsylvania, where we are ripe with resources, coal, gas, energy, everything else

00:37:46.620 you can think of in Pennsylvania, we're squandering it.

00:37:49.680 We are doing nothing, and again, like I said, we grow older, smaller, and poorer every single

00:37:55.640 year in Pennsylvania.

00:37:56.600 There's no reason.

00:37:57.660 We produce 60% more energy than we consume, and we're the number two producer of energy

00:38:03.200 in the country.

00:38:05.000 Now imagine if we can go to full capacity and actually get all of that to the market.

00:38:09.700 Imagine.

00:38:10.360 As they're talking about, hey, we're looking at brownouts real soon. 0.99

00:38:12.800 We don't have enough capacity.

00:38:14.320 We're sitting on capacity.

00:38:15.760 It's outrageous that Shapiro would sit there on all these green energy fantasies that he

00:38:20.500 has a lightning plan, it's called.

00:38:22.380 It's, again, more green.

00:38:24.020 A lightning plan.

00:38:24.460 Yep, it's green energy fantasy plan.

00:38:25.460 He spends all this time coming up with these little marketing tricks and marketing ploys.

00:38:29.220 But meanwhile, the jobs keep leaving.

00:38:31.300 The people keep leaving.

00:38:32.300 The only people that are coming in are seniors, and they're coming for the programs.

00:38:35.700 And he's spending our money down to nothing.

00:38:38.760 He's spending our coffers down to zero.

00:38:41.000 Zero and more.

00:38:41.980 So we have a budget, a 54% tax increase.

00:38:45.760 That's what the budget would be.

00:38:46.940 If Shapiro gets his win.

00:38:48.420 And that's why we have this, to stop the Shapiro tax hikes right there.

00:38:51.820 And part of his green energy fantasy plan is doling out $100 million tax credits.

00:38:56.740 So not only are we going to try to do these pie-in-the-sky green energy fantasy things,

00:39:01.080 we're going to give people money, your money, my money, my taxpayer dollars, to help prop

00:39:06.300 up big corporations.

00:39:07.360 Oh, my gosh.

00:39:08.160 All we have to do in Pennsylvania is step back and get out of the way.

00:39:12.660 Senator, we're just about out of time.

00:39:14.540 Thank you so much.

00:39:15.280 We're honored to have you on here on Human Events Daily.

00:39:17.680 Tell the audience, where can they go to follow you to find more and the truth about Josh Shapiro?

00:39:21.040 Yes.

00:39:21.660 SenatorKiefer.com.

00:39:22.820 Or you can find me on Twitter, Senator Kiefer.

00:39:25.480 Or on Instagram and Facebook.

00:39:27.540 Same thing.

00:39:28.100 Senator Kiefer.

00:39:29.060 See, people are used to, the audience is used to hearing me rant about Josh Shapiro.

00:39:32.940 They say, why are you so often this guy said, because you don't understand what he's doing

00:39:37.420 to my commonwealth.

00:39:38.580 You don't understand what he's doing to the state that I love more than any other, the

00:39:42.480 commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

00:39:43.960 And that's why we're here live, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

00:39:46.540 Ladies and gentlemen, as always, you have my permission to lay ashore.
