00:01:12.700 Ladies and gentlemen, welcome aboard today's edition of

00:01:15.520 Human Events Daily powered by Turning Point USA.

00:01:18.800 Today's top stories, the woke lash,

00:01:21.800 reactions to the Virginia election exit polls.

00:01:25.600 Next, huge ongoing story and developments

00:01:29.380 in the Kyle Rittenhouse trial based on our reporting yesterday

00:01:33.460 of the FBI's involvement in a cover-up

00:01:37.140 regarding their surveillance of Kyle

00:01:39.160 and the events of that evening.

00:01:40.360 Next, the Seattle City Attorney

00:01:42.460 and Minneapolis defund police

00:01:44.700 completely fail in their elections.

00:01:47.020 We'll talk about it.

00:01:47.920 And finally, General Milley comments

00:01:50.340 about China attacking Taiwan.

00:01:52.580 All this and more ahead, Human Events Daily.

00:01:54.320 Last night, the citizens of Virginia, New Jersey,

00:02:10.620 and several other states delivered what appears to be,

00:02:14.000 what many people are now calling, a woke lash.

00:02:16.860 A woke lash to the policies of the left

00:02:20.040 and really the policies of the leftist administration

00:02:23.420 that we have here in the United States.

00:02:26.020 Listen to the absolute meltdown on cable news.

00:02:30.320 I think we know the answer to some of this.

00:02:32.720 I watched Glenn Youngkin's interviews on Fox News

00:02:34.780 and he did nothing that Claire's, he did not,

00:02:38.000 I mean, he worshipped at the altar of Donald Trump

00:02:40.260 on Fox News.

00:02:41.280 He flew an insurrection flag at his rallies. 0.97

00:02:43.980 He simply didn't, he played dumb about a Zoom rally. 0.95

00:02:48.280 He did not really put much distance 0.98

00:02:51.220 between himself and Donald Trump on the big lie

00:02:53.580 or the deadly insurrection

00:02:55.120 in which police officers were maimed by flagpoles.

00:02:59.020 So I think that the real ominous thing

00:03:02.320 is that critical race theory, which isn't real,

00:03:08.280 turned the suburbs 15 points

00:03:11.640 to the Trump insurrection endorsed Republican.

00:03:16.060 What do Democrats do about that? 0.97

00:03:18.460 Wherever you look, it looks like these college-educated,

00:03:21.840 suburban white voters,

00:03:23.180 who Democrats thought were breaking their way,

00:03:26.500 you know, they rallied back around critical race theory.

00:03:30.200 And again, you know, for me, critical race theory, Joy,

00:03:33.020 is just the most recent, more eloquent iteration

00:03:36.900 of the Southern strategy, right?

00:03:39.860 Whether it be cross-town busing,

00:03:42.020 whether it be the welfare queen,

00:03:43.280 whether it be defund the police,

00:03:45.020 this original sin of America keeps evolving.

00:03:48.960 And critical race theory is the most latest

00:03:52.140 and most eloquent, quite frankly,

00:03:54.040 iteration of the Southern strategy

00:03:56.600 in a way, quite frankly, to tribalize an election,

00:03:59.880 to tribalize an electorate in a way

00:04:01.340 to drive up the white vote.

00:04:03.100 There are some variables that are moving

00:04:05.020 in the right direction at this point.

00:04:06.080 And the exit poll showed that, which was interesting,

00:04:09.240 that the coronavirus or that the virus was a very...

00:04:11.560 Has low salience.

00:04:12.560 ...not importance to many of the voters there.

00:04:13.940 Yes, which was fascinating.

00:04:14.240 It was education, which is code for

00:04:17.040 white parents don't like the idea of teaching about race.

00:04:20.420 And I mean, unfortunately,

00:04:22.140 race is just the most palpable tool in the toolkit.

00:04:25.960 It used to be of the Democratic Party back in the day

00:04:27.860 when there were Dixiecrats,

00:04:28.780 and now of the Republican Party.

00:04:30.080 It just is powerful.

00:04:32.020 So you understand what's going on there.

00:04:33.320 There's two things,

00:04:34.440 there's really two strata that's going on,

00:04:36.040 and they are terrified,

00:04:37.600 absolutely terrified,

00:04:39.320 of the fact that they have been exposed

00:04:41.740 for pushing critical race theory,

00:04:44.780 for putting this on the map,

00:04:46.840 for putting it into our schools.

00:04:48.460 And this is actually something,

00:04:49.580 for all the thanks and the accolades,

00:04:52.060 you know, over Virginia,

00:04:53.420 I think that one person that really needs to be thanked

00:04:56.200 is Anthony Fauci.

00:04:58.240 Right, Anthony Fauci.

00:04:59.220 What does this have to do?

00:04:59.940 Well, number one,

00:05:01.900 we know that Fauci was involved

00:05:03.840 in the funding of gain-of-function experiments

00:05:05.940 in the Wuhan lab, COVID-19.

00:05:08.960 But then after COVID-19 takes off,

00:05:11.560 what did Fauci push for?

00:05:12.980 The lockdowns.

00:05:14.220 The lockdowns meant what?

00:05:15.740 For schools, Zoom classrooms.

00:05:18.260 What did Zoom classrooms expose?

00:05:20.860 What was going on in the classrooms?

00:05:23.960 Critical race theory.

00:05:25.620 So for people like Chris Ruffo,

00:05:27.300 for investigative journalists like Luke Rosiak,

00:05:30.300 they were then able to prove

00:05:32.400 what was going on,

00:05:33.720 what they were talking about in their journalism

00:05:35.760 and what was happening in our schools.

00:05:38.700 This new theology, right?

00:05:41.320 And it really is,

00:05:42.220 critical race theory is a religion.

00:05:44.300 I would actually consider it a pagan religion.

00:05:47.240 I would actually consider it a pagan religion,

00:05:50.200 a form of worship,

00:05:51.440 maybe a disorganized religion, right?

00:05:53.180 But you could look at potentially,

00:05:55.260 you are preaching.

00:05:56.440 You are preaching to these children

00:05:58.080 in the school rooms

00:05:59.660 and you are teaching them a new pagan religion,

00:06:02.460 which has nothing to do

00:06:04.120 with any of their education.

00:06:05.820 It has nothing to do

00:06:06.900 with the actual history of this country.

00:06:09.240 And parents found out about it

00:06:11.160 and they became activated.

00:06:13.460 This is a huge part of what's going on.

00:06:15.620 And it ain't just Virginia, folks.

00:06:17.380 This happened in New Jersey.

00:06:18.960 This is happening across the country.

00:06:21.160 So you're seeing that being a massive,

00:06:23.620 massive swing indicator

00:06:25.760 for many of these suburban districts.

00:06:27.860 And then your kids are being taught

00:06:29.820 to hate their families,

00:06:31.680 to hate their ancestors,

00:06:33.120 to hate their homeland,

00:06:34.560 to hate their country,

00:06:35.480 to even hate themselves.

00:06:37.020 And that's what you get. 1.00

00:06:39.220 You push that crap too much, 1.00

00:06:41.880 that pagan religion worship, 1.00

00:06:44.080 you get a woke lash.

00:06:46.000 And that's what's going on in this country.

00:06:47.840 People put their shoulder to the wheel

00:06:49.540 and they said, no more.

00:06:51.360 The parents said,

00:06:52.260 you are not taking our children.

00:06:55.460 This is a roadmap.

00:06:56.980 This is an absolute roadmap

00:06:58.300 for conservatives,

00:07:00.000 for libertarians,

00:07:01.180 and for traditional American values.

00:07:03.800 For people to say,

00:07:05.280 we're sick of it

00:07:06.020 and we're not taking it anymore.

00:07:08.060 Now, yesterday's episode,

00:07:13.660 we broke that extremely shocking story

00:07:16.920 that an FBI plane was up

00:07:20.080 and was surveilling Kyle Rittenhouse

00:07:22.540 and the entire events

00:07:23.820 of that evening in Kenosha.

00:07:26.400 No one played that footage

00:07:28.360 other than us.

00:07:29.940 Nobody broke that story.

00:07:31.740 The cable networks wouldn't touch it.

00:07:34.280 That is why Human Events Daily exists.

00:07:37.460 So I want you to listen

00:07:38.780 to the opening statement

00:07:40.300 from the defense in this case,

00:07:42.700 the guy who finally got up

00:07:43.960 and he's defending Kyle.

00:07:45.380 Listen to what he said

00:07:46.600 and in his characterization

00:07:48.120 of what took place

00:07:49.380 on the events

00:07:50.220 of August 24th, 2020,

00:07:53.100 what happened that night.

00:07:54.540 And it completely breaks apart

00:07:56.720 the mainstream media narrative.

00:07:58.380 We have two very different

00:08:00.500 outlooks on the events

00:08:04.620 of August 25th of 2020.

00:08:08.840 Mr. Binger makes a big thing

00:08:10.720 out of Kyle Rittenhouse

00:08:13.860 was the only person

00:08:15.020 who shot somebody that evening.

00:08:18.180 True.

00:08:20.340 Mr. Rittenhouse

00:08:22.020 was the only person

00:08:24.060 who was chased

00:08:25.840 by Joseph Rosenbaum

00:08:28.180 that evening.

00:08:29.480 You'll hear testimony,

00:08:31.060 not just from Kyle Rittenhouse,

00:08:33.020 but Balch,

00:08:35.740 Mr. Balch,

00:08:37.380 about Joseph Rosenbaum

00:08:38.760 stating to Kyle

00:08:41.080 and to Ryan Balch

00:08:43.880 in each other's presence,

00:08:45.140 if I get either of you two alone, 1.00

00:08:47.680 I'm going to kill you. 1.00

00:08:50.440 Flat out threats to murder. 1.00

00:08:56.420 When Mr. Rosenbaum is shot

00:08:58.860 in the car source lot three,

00:09:02.020 there's been a gunshot behind Kyle.

00:09:04.900 He turns to address

00:09:06.600 Mr. Rosenbaum with his firearm.

00:09:09.000 Mr. Rosenbaum is not deterred.

00:09:12.640 He continues to run.

00:09:15.140 He acted in self-defense,

00:09:17.160 ladies and gentlemen.

00:09:18.360 The evidence will show

00:09:19.500 that his actions

00:09:21.080 on August 25th of 2020

00:09:23.980 were reasonable

00:09:25.180 under the circumstances

00:09:27.540 as they existed that night

00:09:30.200 being attacked by Mr. Rosenbaum.

00:09:33.500 Kyle Rittenhouse protected himself,

00:09:36.140 protected his firearm

00:09:38.520 so it couldn't be taken,

00:09:40.000 used against him

00:09:41.080 or other people

00:09:42.240 from Mr. Rosenbaum.

00:09:43.780 So here's the biggest

00:09:45.240 development though.

00:09:46.640 As the witnesses

00:09:47.680 went through

00:09:48.440 day one of the trial,

00:09:50.060 they first had

00:09:50.660 Kyle Rittenhouse's

00:09:51.560 friend testify.

00:09:52.440 He said,

00:09:52.780 yes, I purchased the rifle.

00:09:54.260 I owned the rifle.

00:09:55.360 It didn't cross state lines.

00:09:56.920 Remember,

00:09:57.220 this has been a key

00:09:58.220 aspect of the case

00:09:59.360 that the media

00:10:00.200 has focused in on

00:10:01.120 and the left

00:10:02.600 has focused in on as well.

00:10:03.660 They said that

00:10:04.040 Kyle Rittenhouse's gun

00:10:05.280 crossed state lines.

00:10:06.520 Not true.

00:10:07.600 That was a gun

00:10:08.340 that wasn't his.

00:10:09.560 It was owned by his friend

00:10:10.620 who was over 18

00:10:12.000 purchased by him.

00:10:13.980 He let Kyle use it

00:10:15.440 to defend himself

00:10:16.280 during in the riots,

00:10:17.300 which actually,

00:10:18.300 if you look under the statute,

00:10:19.920 seems to be true,

00:10:21.160 seems to be actually

00:10:21.720 something he's legally

00:10:22.460 able to do

00:10:23.160 because the statute,

00:10:24.080 when you actually look it up,

00:10:25.200 it says it's about

00:10:25.960 short barreled rifles

00:10:27.500 and shotguns.

00:10:28.240 This is not a short

00:10:28.920 barreled rifle,

00:10:29.460 a shotgun.

00:10:30.160 But the bigger picture is

00:10:32.180 the second witness,

00:10:34.440 when they went up,

00:10:35.760 the judge said,

00:10:36.560 well, we have a problem here.

00:10:37.800 That witness can't be on camera.

00:10:40.460 Well, who was that witness?

00:10:41.940 Who could it be?

00:10:42.980 Who could it be?

00:10:44.480 We later found out

00:10:45.860 here at Human Events Daily

00:10:47.400 from a source

00:10:49.280 in the courtroom

00:10:50.240 that that witness

00:10:52.540 was an FBI employee,

00:10:56.300 an FBI official

00:10:57.400 who was testifying off camera

00:10:59.840 and who had stated

00:11:01.820 that he had this video,

00:11:03.680 but that he wouldn't actually

00:11:05.280 be able to show it

00:11:06.620 to the public.

00:11:07.800 So the video we showed yesterday

00:11:09.280 of the FBI aerial surveillance

00:11:11.360 of Kyle Rittenhouse

00:11:12.140 that they held

00:11:12.920 for 14 months

00:11:14.720 that they prevented

00:11:15.980 the public from happening,

00:11:17.540 that they prevented

00:11:18.380 Kyle's lawyers from having

00:11:19.880 only up until

00:11:20.720 a couple of weeks ago,

00:11:21.740 we're told,

00:11:23.420 they wouldn't even

00:11:24.700 show it at trial.

00:11:25.740 They showed the jury at least.

00:11:27.180 At least they showed the jury

00:11:28.640 and he wouldn't even

00:11:29.660 show his face.

00:11:31.200 Do you understand

00:11:31.980 what's going on here?

00:11:33.140 The FBI had Kyle

00:11:35.360 under surveillance

00:11:36.260 this whole time.

00:11:37.080 They knew they had it.

00:11:38.640 We're even told

00:11:39.680 that they had a second video,

00:11:42.020 an HD version

00:11:43.480 of the video.

00:11:44.800 But when Kyle's lawyers

00:11:46.280 filed a FOIA for it,

00:11:47.960 they were told

00:11:48.680 that the information

00:11:49.880 was gone,

00:11:51.040 that the information

00:11:51.840 was missing.

00:11:52.820 And let me tell you

00:11:53.680 something else.

00:11:55.140 I've been in that business.

00:11:57.120 I understand a little something

00:11:58.480 about aerial surveillance.

00:12:00.000 I guarantee you

00:12:02.120 there was not only

00:12:03.720 optical surveillance up there.

00:12:05.300 They most certainly

00:12:07.380 had electronic

00:12:08.720 communications intelligence,

00:12:10.700 signals intelligence

00:12:11.620 in a package

00:12:12.560 on that bird.

00:12:13.940 That means

00:12:14.780 that the cell phones

00:12:16.020 were being sucked up

00:12:17.180 by the Stingray device

00:12:18.320 that was attached

00:12:19.440 to this plane.

00:12:20.680 That means that

00:12:21.540 they were able

00:12:22.020 to positively identify

00:12:23.320 every single person

00:12:24.540 with a cell phone

00:12:25.160 that was in that crowd.

00:12:26.380 The shooter,

00:12:27.140 whose name we don't know,

00:12:28.060 who shot at Kyle four times,

00:12:29.920 the people who were chasing him,

00:12:31.360 the people who were assailing him,

00:12:33.200 they knew about it.

00:12:34.820 Why has the FBI

00:12:36.320 covered this up?

00:12:38.460 Why did Chris Wray

00:12:39.900 not let us know

00:12:41.200 immediately

00:12:42.160 what had happened that night?

00:12:43.860 Why didn't he go public

00:12:45.400 and say,

00:12:46.000 we understand what happened?

00:12:47.980 And why didn't the FBI

00:12:50.340 go after

00:12:51.580 all of these individuals

00:12:53.720 that they had on camera

00:12:55.560 looting,

00:12:56.840 rioting,

00:12:57.320 and committing arson

00:12:58.460 throughout the streets

00:12:59.400 of Kenosha

00:12:59.880 and I guarantee you

00:13:00.800 they had planes like this

00:13:01.900 across all of the cities

00:13:03.540 that were burned

00:13:04.180 during 2020.

00:13:05.760 The FBI

00:13:06.400 had surveillance

00:13:07.780 of the entire thing

00:13:09.100 and they covered it all up.

00:13:11.040 Human Events Daily

00:13:11.820 will not drop

00:13:13.600 this story.

00:13:19.080 Two huge stories

00:13:20.600 from last night

00:13:21.260 that we have to make sure

00:13:22.540 that people

00:13:23.420 don't miss

00:13:24.540 because these are

00:13:25.460 absolutely

00:13:26.200 groundbreaking stories.

00:13:27.560 We've been talking

00:13:28.140 about the

00:13:29.180 get out of cities thing.

00:13:30.780 That's been my thing

00:13:31.900 for almost two years now.

00:13:33.680 I've been saying

00:13:34.080 get out of cities,

00:13:35.180 get out of cities.

00:13:36.400 And now

00:13:36.760 we're starting to see

00:13:38.460 I will say this

00:13:40.100 and I'm not changing

00:13:41.580 my diagnosis.

00:13:43.180 I'm still saying

00:13:44.020 get out of cities

00:13:44.820 but we're starting

00:13:46.180 to see

00:13:46.900 some positive

00:13:48.280 energy

00:13:49.220 on that front

00:13:50.180 in two cases.

00:13:51.360 the city of Seattle

00:13:52.580 and the city

00:13:53.700 of Minneapolis.

00:13:55.220 In Seattle

00:13:55.780 Ann Davison

00:13:57.300 a Republican

00:13:58.080 led police

00:14:00.040 abolitionist

00:14:01.180 Nicole Thomas Kennedy

00:14:02.740 in Seattle

00:14:03.760 city attorney race.

00:14:05.660 What does it mean?

00:14:07.300 It looks like

00:14:08.140 Ann Davison

00:14:09.000 is holding

00:14:10.340 this is according

00:14:10.800 to Seattle Times

00:14:11.480 held a strong

00:14:12.460 58 to 41 percent

00:14:13.740 lead in the race

00:14:14.400 for Seattle city attorney

00:14:15.460 with returns Tuesday

00:14:16.740 showing voters

00:14:17.940 rejecting

00:14:18.740 the brash language

00:14:20.220 of her police

00:14:21.220 abolitionist opponent

00:14:22.500 in favor of

00:14:23.580 Davison's law

00:14:24.460 and order stance.

00:14:25.220 Remember Seattle

00:14:25.780 is the city

00:14:26.740 that had the Chaz 0.74

00:14:27.740 where I went

00:14:28.660 and infiltrated that

00:14:29.600 with my brother.

00:14:30.680 We were in there

00:14:31.140 day and night.

00:14:32.180 We saw the guns.

00:14:32.900 We saw the shooting

00:14:33.640 that took place

00:14:34.460 just after we left.

00:14:35.660 The people who were

00:14:36.500 killed out there.

00:14:37.720 The lawlessness

00:14:38.540 that took place

00:14:39.260 in the city of Seattle

00:14:40.160 and now

00:14:41.460 they have someone

00:14:42.540 who is just elected

00:14:43.620 on a law

00:14:44.440 and order platform

00:14:45.700 citywide

00:14:46.580 to that city

00:14:48.540 attorney's office.

00:14:49.400 So that,

00:14:49.820 I gotta say,

00:14:50.520 I gotta say,

00:14:51.460 a very interesting

00:14:52.520 situation as well.

00:14:54.480 Listen to what

00:14:55.080 just happened.

00:14:55.660 We have a clip of this.

00:14:56.580 Listen to what happened

00:14:57.500 in Minneapolis overnight.

00:14:59.060 Voters in Minneapolis

00:14:59.940 rejected a ballot measure

00:15:01.160 to replace the city's

00:15:02.100 police department there.

00:15:03.340 The move to overhaul

00:15:04.020 policing in Minneapolis

00:15:05.020 came after the murder

00:15:06.020 of George Floyd

00:15:06.880 in 2020.

00:15:08.320 Question two

00:15:09.160 on the ballot

00:15:09.720 was to replace

00:15:10.460 the department

00:15:10.900 with a department

00:15:11.920 of public safety

00:15:13.060 instead

00:15:14.120 where a mental health

00:15:16.080 specialist

00:15:16.620 would actually be

00:15:17.300 working on the force

00:15:18.340 and 56% said no,

00:15:20.200 44% voting yes.

00:15:22.200 Kelsey Kernstein

00:15:22.760 is live in Minneapolis

00:15:23.840 with more on these results.

00:15:25.540 Kelsey.

00:15:27.240 Well, Adrienne,

00:15:28.380 a historic voter turnout

00:15:29.980 but I can tell you this,

00:15:31.000 we're in a park.

00:15:31.680 I just asked,

00:15:32.360 I just asked a resident,

00:15:33.780 is he happy with the results,

00:15:35.440 upset with the results?

00:15:36.340 He said,

00:15:37.000 it shows that he thinks

00:15:38.660 that Minneapolis

00:15:39.380 is closer to sanity.

00:15:41.540 He also said,

00:15:42.120 look, we know

00:15:42.920 there needs to be

00:15:44.060 police reform.

00:15:45.560 But yes,

00:15:47.000 the voters spoke,

00:15:48.500 56% said no

00:15:50.380 to the referendum.

00:15:51.960 They said no

00:15:52.740 to replacing

00:15:53.540 the Minneapolis

00:15:54.180 Police Department.

00:15:55.340 44% said yes.

00:15:57.820 That group

00:15:58.540 that got it on the ballot,

00:16:00.000 this referendum,

00:16:01.180 this coalition,

00:16:02.320 yes for Minneapolis,

00:16:03.400 they got 20,000,

00:16:05.520 20,000 signatures

00:16:07.260 to get that coalition

00:16:08.680 on the ballot.

00:16:09.980 We know that

00:16:10.600 it emerged

00:16:11.420 after the killing

00:16:12.300 of George Floyd.

00:16:13.780 Now we know

00:16:14.240 it emerged

00:16:14.760 after the protests

00:16:16.080 across here in Minneapolis

00:16:17.520 and across the nation.

00:16:20.340 Now they say

00:16:21.280 that they changed

00:16:22.560 the conversation

00:16:23.460 of public safety.

00:16:25.020 They plan to continue

00:16:26.240 to hold the system

00:16:27.360 accountable,

00:16:28.380 those in power accountable,

00:16:29.620 but it's been

00:16:30.220 a historic turnout here.

00:16:31.940 This measure,

00:16:32.760 by the way,

00:16:33.220 it's something

00:16:33.460 they didn't bring up

00:16:34.280 but I'll bring up,

00:16:35.020 this was supported

00:16:36.840 by far-left

00:16:38.840 Congresswoman

00:16:39.800 Ilhan Omar,

00:16:41.440 a member of the squad.

00:16:43.460 Remember,

00:16:43.840 Minneapolis,

00:16:44.520 this of course

00:16:45.160 is the city.

00:16:46.560 Derek Chauvin,

00:16:47.860 George Floyd,

00:16:48.800 where everything went down,

00:16:50.360 where the whole thing

00:16:51.160 got started.

00:16:52.580 And they voted against it

00:16:54.380 by 57%

00:16:56.940 of Minneapolis voters

00:16:58.760 said they don't want this.

00:17:00.660 This is a message,

00:17:02.120 a clear signal

00:17:03.340 of what's going on.

00:17:04.560 These are not

00:17:05.340 conservative areas.

00:17:06.900 These are not,

00:17:07.480 you know,

00:17:08.060 bright red,

00:17:09.720 you know,

00:17:10.820 America first,

00:17:11.900 kind of,

00:17:12.580 you know,

00:17:12.920 all that stuff.

00:17:14.560 These are blue,

00:17:16.840 deep blue cities.

00:17:18.100 Seattle and Minneapolis,

00:17:20.000 deep blue cities.

00:17:21.360 But you're seeing

00:17:22.220 how bad things have gotten.

00:17:24.200 And New York,

00:17:24.860 by the way,

00:17:25.220 of course,

00:17:25.500 the new mayor

00:17:25.920 was elected

00:17:26.380 on a law and order platform.

00:17:29.180 Are cities taking a turn?

00:17:32.280 I think they're trying

00:17:33.280 to,

00:17:34.240 but ultimately,

00:17:35.540 ultimately,

00:17:36.120 I do think

00:17:36.960 the cities are in a spiral.

00:17:38.600 And I do believe that.

00:17:40.100 So while I am

00:17:41.240 cautiously optimistic

00:17:42.500 about the near-term changes

00:17:44.880 that may be put in place

00:17:46.080 in some of these places,

00:17:47.260 I do think

00:17:48.260 that unfortunately,

00:17:49.360 the structural issues

00:17:50.960 in the cities

00:17:52.020 are not going to change.

00:17:54.000 But for the time being,

00:17:55.320 we look at what happened

00:17:56.240 in Seattle,

00:17:56.960 we look at what happened

00:17:57.900 in Minneapolis,

00:17:58.420 and we say,

00:17:59.400 God bless you,

00:18:00.520 God bless the people

00:18:01.360 who live there.

00:18:01.980 We only wish you the best.

00:18:08.840 Once again,

00:18:09.580 thank you for supporting us.

00:18:10.600 Thank you for supporting this show,

00:18:11.860 supporting this podcast.

00:18:13.100 If you want to continue

00:18:13.940 that support,

00:18:14.620 go to MyPillow.com,

00:18:15.940 use promo code POSO,

00:18:17.440 make sure that you are

00:18:19.060 being the influence agent.

00:18:20.580 And by the way,

00:18:21.060 get your orders in now

00:18:22.260 for Christmas.

00:18:23.180 It's coming.

00:18:23.860 It's coming so soon.

00:18:24.860 You know the supply chain issues

00:18:26.020 that are out there,

00:18:26.920 the trucking issues

00:18:27.900 that are out there,

00:18:28.480 the shortages.

00:18:28.960 Get it done.

00:18:30.700 Get that peace of mind.

00:18:31.900 MyPillow.com,

00:18:32.780 promo code POSO.

00:18:33.780 You got the towels,

00:18:34.860 the sheets,

00:18:35.500 the toppers,

00:18:36.120 the pillows.

00:18:36.700 You can't go wrong.

00:18:38.460 We've got to get into this story

00:18:39.800 because my favorite general

00:18:41.300 in the world is back,

00:18:42.920 General Mi Li.

00:18:44.680 Listen to what General Mi Li

00:18:46.180 had to say

00:18:46.840 when he was asked

00:18:47.960 about the question of Taiwan.

00:18:49.780 Take a listen.

00:18:50.200 It depends on what you mean

00:18:51.200 by near future.

00:18:52.140 So I've said in testimony

00:18:53.360 that my personal estimate is,

00:18:57.580 and I hesitate to speculate

00:18:58.880 on anything in the future

00:18:59.620 because anything can happen.

00:19:00.520 There's a wide variety of scenarios

00:19:02.040 that could happen.

00:19:03.220 But I would say that

00:19:04.620 based on my analysis of China,

00:19:08.340 I don't think that it is likely

00:19:09.880 in the next near future

00:19:11.300 being defined as,

00:19:12.280 you know,

00:19:12.640 six, 12,

00:19:13.560 maybe 24 months,

00:19:14.340 that kind of window.

00:19:16.000 Having said that, though,

00:19:17.200 the Chinese are clearly

00:19:19.720 and unambiguously

00:19:21.040 building the capability

00:19:22.120 to provide those options

00:19:23.740 to the national leadership

00:19:24.680 if they so choose

00:19:25.500 at some point in the future.

00:19:27.320 But near future,

00:19:28.960 probably not,

00:19:29.880 but anything can happen.

00:19:31.220 It recently became public

00:19:32.300 that you had communications

00:19:33.500 with your Chinese counterpart

00:19:35.960 over, you know,

00:19:37.980 signals that how they

00:19:39.100 may be interpreted.

00:19:39.980 Are you talking about this?

00:19:41.300 Have they talked to you

00:19:42.400 about their current capabilities

00:19:45.240 and tests?

00:19:47.200 Well, unless, you know,

00:19:50.120 I would say that

00:19:51.740 I don't typically talk

00:19:53.220 about the substance

00:19:54.140 of the conversations

00:19:55.720 I have with my Russian counterparts,

00:19:57.460 my Chinese counterparts,

00:19:58.820 except to other members

00:19:59.800 of the government

00:20:00.160 with appropriate classifications,

00:20:01.360 et cetera, typically.

00:20:03.280 And the calls that we were talking,

00:20:05.060 that you're talking about,

00:20:05.840 I testified to a week or so

00:20:08.160 or a couple weeks ago.

00:20:09.980 But what that's indicative of,

00:20:11.480 in my mind,

00:20:12.300 is the need for increased,

00:20:14.000 not decreased,

00:20:14.560 increased mill-to-mill communications,

00:20:17.260 government-to-government communications,

00:20:18.840 because part of deterrence

00:20:20.360 is having the capability

00:20:22.760 to impose costs on your opponent

00:20:24.440 and making sure

00:20:26.200 that you have the political will

00:20:27.420 to actually use it.

00:20:28.620 But also,

00:20:29.200 a third piece of deterrence

00:20:30.380 that's really important

00:20:31.120 is clear,

00:20:32.280 unambiguous communications

00:20:33.420 between both sides.

00:20:34.400 as long as they're coordinated

00:20:36.280 and as long as

00:20:37.340 the various parts of the government

00:20:38.980 are involved in that,

00:20:40.580 it's very important.

00:20:41.420 So I think those calls,

00:20:43.620 and I've made many calls

00:20:44.720 to counterparts around the world

00:20:47.160 as part of my job,

00:20:48.560 I think those calls

00:20:49.940 are indicative of something

00:20:50.860 that we're going to have to

00:20:51.780 reinforce, expand,

00:20:53.720 and need more of

00:20:54.620 as we go forward

00:20:56.020 in the next 10, 20 years.

00:20:57.400 So you hear that, right?

00:20:58.500 You know, General Mi Lee,

00:20:59.560 he's like one of these generals

00:21:00.580 straight out of central casting.

00:21:01.740 He's the character

00:21:02.800 in the Hollywood movie

00:21:04.760 that sends all his troops

00:21:06.740 into combat,

00:21:07.740 doesn't realize what's going on,

00:21:09.360 and the entire team

00:21:10.700 gets taken out, right?

00:21:11.620 That's the character

00:21:13.160 he would be playing in a movie.

00:21:14.800 This is a guy

00:21:15.760 who has no clue

00:21:16.960 what's happening.

00:21:17.600 You hear him right there.

00:21:18.660 He goes,

00:21:18.980 well, I've talked to China

00:21:20.620 and they assured me,

00:21:22.100 they assured me

00:21:23.020 that they will not attack Taiwan

00:21:24.860 in the next 6, 12,

00:21:26.300 24-month period.

00:21:27.600 And I believe we can trust

00:21:28.660 General Lee over there.

00:21:30.120 Yeah, he's a good guy, right? 0.98

00:21:31.560 This is ridiculous. 0.99

00:21:33.280 This is insane. 1.00

00:21:35.020 You're saying trust them.

00:21:36.540 We need to talk to them more.

00:21:38.480 You need to take them

00:21:39.680 out of their word,

00:21:40.600 increase communication,

00:21:41.700 increase middle-to-middle dialogue. 0.97

00:21:43.600 Ridiculous. 0.99

00:21:44.760 Absolutely ridiculous. 1.00

00:21:47.180 This guy is a clown. 0.99

00:21:48.780 And I'm sorry. 0.99

00:21:49.460 I'm sorry for saying it.

00:21:50.600 I wish that our military

00:21:51.780 wasn't like this,

00:21:52.720 but it has to be called out.

00:21:54.420 You cannot have

00:21:55.720 a sitting general

00:21:56.900 talk like this.

00:21:59.100 If he says it's not going

00:22:00.260 to happen in 24 months,

00:22:01.640 why?

00:22:01.860 Because they told you that?

00:22:03.220 Because you trusted them?

00:22:04.740 That means it's probably

00:22:05.480 going to happen

00:22:06.000 in 24 minutes.

00:22:07.820 That's all the time

00:22:08.380 we have here

00:22:09.060 for Human Events Daily.

00:22:10.080 But as I said,

00:22:10.920 be the influence agent.

00:22:12.740 Remember our motto to you,

00:22:14.120 be good,

00:22:14.740 be brief,

00:22:15.420 be gone.

00:22:15.980 We are going to give you

00:22:17.100 the bottom line up front

00:22:18.980 and we are leading the charge

00:22:20.980 on the Kyle Rittenhouse case.

00:22:22.560 I know there's other people

00:22:23.460 talking about it,

00:22:24.460 but we are breaking news.

00:22:26.200 We are dropping the receipts

00:22:27.880 and we are dropping bombshells.

00:22:29.920 And we're going to be

00:22:30.460 continuing to do that

00:22:31.580 day after day

00:22:32.980 here on this show.

00:22:34.800 But before we go,

00:22:36.400 it's time for today's

00:22:37.200 Moment of History.

00:22:38.000 Today,

00:22:38.880 in 1868,

00:22:41.000 Ulysses S. Grant

00:22:42.660 elected the 18th

00:22:44.580 President of the United States.

00:22:45.860 And here's something,

00:22:46.820 by the way,

00:22:47.200 that not everybody knows,

00:22:48.660 that Ulysses S. Grant

00:22:49.940 was actually,

00:22:51.380 I believe this might be true,

00:22:52.700 the only President

00:22:53.700 of the United States

00:22:54.500 to be arrested

00:22:56.020 while he was

00:22:57.180 the sitting President.

00:22:57.940 What was he arrested for?

00:22:59.120 Right here in the city

00:23:00.100 of Washington, D.C.,

00:23:00.960 not very far from where

00:23:01.760 I'm actually sitting right now,

00:23:03.500 he was arrested

00:23:04.200 for speeding

00:23:05.320 on his horse.

00:23:06.560 Can you believe that?

00:23:07.700 Ladies and gentlemen,

00:23:08.780 you have my permission

00:23:09.580 to lay ashore.

00:23:10.440 That was my place

00:23:12.040 by Mike

00:23:12.280 of the United States.

00:23:12.640 So,

00:23:12.800 here is a

00:23:13.040 spotlight.

00:23:13.760 We'll be

00:23:14.600 here in the city

00:23:15.040 of Washington,
