Human Events Daily with Jack Posobiec - Human Events Daily - Oct 6 2021 - Your Military Briefing on the Taiwan Crisis

00:00:00.000 ED HARRISON – Ladies and gentlemen, welcome aboard today's edition of Human Events Daily.

00:00:03.440 I want everyone to strap yourselves in because today is going to be a China-heavy episode.

00:00:08.400 First up, Chinese generals are pressuring Xi to give them the green light on a Taiwan invasion.

00:00:14.800 Next, a shade war update. Kamala Harris and John Kerry now getting in on the activity.

00:00:20.320 Third, we're going to deconstruct the Facebook whistleblower's faux testimony from yesterday.

00:00:24.880 And finally, the Chinese economy is facing a three-punch combo.

00:00:28.560 We'll get all into that and more up ahead, Human Events Daily.

00:00:42.400 The situation in Taiwan, I think a lot of people have seen this over the past few weeks

00:00:46.880 and in the Pacific writ large, is heating up. Now, a lot of people want to say, all right,

00:00:51.680 this is just bluster. China just had their anniversary of the Chinese Communist takeover,

00:00:56.560 their national day, October 1st. That's why they did this. I want you to take a look.

00:01:00.240 Map break. These are all the incursions, over 150 of Chinese fighter craft into Taiwan airspace,

00:01:08.320 their air defensive identification zone, since 1st September. Since just September 1st of this year,

00:01:14.880 about one month, this is all the incursions. Understand the importance, not only of that strait,

00:01:19.920 but the shipping lanes that are there. Think of how much of the world's maritime trade and commercial

00:01:26.000 shipping goes by on those lanes. That is what this is all about. It's also all about the semiconductors.

00:01:32.560 What we are hearing, according to sources from the Taiwan Ministry of Defense,

00:01:37.360 the Chinese generals are telling Xi they want the green light. Now, of course, these are the hardliners,

00:01:45.840 and you have a new general that's at the head of the PLA Air Force. But you've also got people

00:01:50.400 that are more moderate saying, we want to stay the course. We want to continue the sort of gray

00:01:54.720 zone attacks. And there are also a lot of indications from the White House now, what we're hearing,

00:02:00.160 as well as others in the national security agencies, that what happened with Facebook,

00:02:05.040 that what happened with the other social media entities earlier this week was perhaps a dry

00:02:11.360 run. Remember, when Russia took Crimea, one of the very first things they did was shut down

00:02:16.400 communications and shut down the internet. And you're seeing that happen here across the United

00:02:21.040 States. And keep in mind, this was not done kinetically. This was done via cyber means. Now,

00:02:27.440 we know that this is being investigated, this is being looked into, but that got a lot of people

00:02:32.480 to pay attention very quickly. And notice that Facebook and the entire mainstream media does not

00:02:38.560 want to talk about this one. I want to show you another video. This is the first time a fighter

00:02:45.440 aircraft has taken off from a Japanese aircraft carrier since 1945, since World War II. And the

00:02:52.480 aircraft that's taking off is flown by the U.S. Marine Corps. Watch this. This is absolute history.

00:03:09.440 vertical radar.

00:03:13.920 california

00:03:36.480 So I want to show you some other images that we're getting now from the South China Sea

00:03:55.040 and the Pacific.

00:03:56.100 This is the new Navy partnership.

00:03:59.240 It's not just the Americans.

00:04:00.320 It's not just the Japanese.

00:04:02.240 You've got Canada.

00:04:03.940 You've got New Zealand. 0.67

00:04:05.160 You've got the Philippines.

00:04:06.100 You've got the Dutch. 1.00

00:04:07.660 You've got a whole armada that is sailing through that South China Sea, and they're planning

00:04:12.420 to sail around the Philippines and then all the way around to India because this is completely

00:04:18.180 heating up.

00:04:18.940 So understand what's going on to U.S. aircraft carrier groups, as well as the British and

00:04:24.740 New Zealand and everybody else. 0.97

00:04:26.660 This is absolutely historic.

00:04:28.780 Now, this is the plan that was being put in place prior to this administration coming in.

00:04:33.400 And so you really have a lot of tensions.

00:04:36.260 And I want to show you another map of what's called the first island chain and the second

00:04:40.960 island chain.

00:04:42.320 These are areas of maritime defense between the U.S. and its allies and then China, mainland

00:04:47.940 China, and what they claim.

00:04:49.580 Keep in mind, mainland China claims all of the South China Sea is theirs, up to and of course, 0.98

00:04:55.040 including Taiwan.

00:04:55.900 All of the other countries say that should be international waters.

00:05:00.820 This is the point of these entire operations.

00:05:04.540 Will that area of the South China Sea, including Taiwan, continue to be international waters?

00:05:10.580 This major shipping route for all commercial.

00:05:14.660 You don't want to talk about the blockade that's going on, the shipping backlog on the

00:05:18.640 East Coast and West Coast.

00:05:20.120 Imagine what happens when China takes over the entire South China Sea.

00:05:27.280 That's what they want.

00:05:28.480 That's their claim.

00:05:30.040 That's not us saying that that's what we think they're going to do.

00:05:33.040 That's them actually saying we are going to take the 9-nash line.

00:05:36.180 So understand, there are people on both sides of the strait that want to go to blows over

00:05:42.620 this.

00:05:43.180 And you've got people right now in Beijing saying that our president in the United States

00:05:46.960 is weak and now is the time to strike, just like Crimea the last time he was in the White 0.90

00:05:52.080 House.

00:05:52.320 Stay tuned.

00:05:52.700 More on China coming up.

00:05:58.260 And we're back.

00:05:59.060 Now, I want people to understand as well, and if the producers, if you can throw up that

00:06:02.660 graphic of the incursions over the Taiwanese airspace again, OK, get that up, what we're

00:06:08.100 seeing here is an attempt by China to provoke Taiwan into reacting with their AAA, their 0.66

00:06:15.480 anti-aircraft artillery, through scrambling, and then doing something, which they have

00:06:20.300 done.

00:06:20.640 By the way, they have scrambled fighters, counterfeiters to this, in order to provoke them so that

00:06:25.740 they can claim that Taiwan started the fight.

00:06:29.120 Do you understand how it's a game of chicken that's going on right here?

00:06:31.500 You also have Chinese state media.

00:06:33.600 For example, Hu Xijin, who is affiliated with Global Times, he's the editor-in-chief of Global

00:06:39.740 Times, just tweeted this this morning.

00:06:41.660 The PLA already has the ability now to liberate Taiwan at one stroke. 0.90

00:06:47.580 Why wait until 2025?

00:06:50.020 That the mainland hasn't taken the action is a goodwill of Beijing to treasure cross-straits

00:06:56.080 peace.

00:06:56.640 I worry that the goodwill could be abused by Taiwan and the war is triggered suddenly. 0.96

00:07:05.760 Do you understand that?

00:07:07.420 Do you see what we're getting into?

00:07:08.500 They want to make it look like Taiwan provoked the war and then use that as a cause of spell-e,

00:07:16.240 right?

00:07:16.580 Essentially use that as their cause for war to say it's time to go in to remove this rogue

00:07:21.380 government and liberate the Chinese people of Taiwan.

00:07:23.800 That's exactly what the propaganda line will be.

00:07:27.500 But before we get into that anymore, it's time once again for a Shade War update.

00:07:34.900 So if you remember, one thing that we've been telling you about consistently

00:07:41.960 is that the White House is split into two factions.

00:07:45.500 There's Team B and there's Team K, Team Biden, Team Kamala.

00:07:49.100 And Team B keeps wanting to find these various issues that look like they're not going to

00:07:54.140 do very well, whether it be stimulus checks, the economy, vaccines, the border, et cetera,

00:07:59.740 and give that to Kamala Harris, put that on her plate, make that part of her portfolio 0.97

00:08:03.520 so that they can make it look like she was the one responsible because they know it's going

00:08:07.520 to turn into a crisis.

00:08:08.720 The latest thing that we're hearing out of the White House is that none other than Jake

00:08:13.440 Sullivan, right?

00:08:14.360 You remember Jake Sullivan.

00:08:15.300 He was a guy that pushed the phony RussiGate dossier, pushed so much of the phony RussiGate

00:08:19.060 conspiracy theory.

00:08:20.140 Now he's your national security advisor, which I just enjoy that.

00:08:23.060 He wants to send Kamala Harris to Taiwan as a special envoy and have her make a trip there

00:08:31.960 to make it seem as if that's going to shut down.

00:08:34.920 I don't think that's going to happen.

00:08:37.600 But Jake, you got to be a little smarter than that.

00:08:41.580 But something interesting is going on because today we actually have to do a double Shade

00:08:47.200 War update because we've got a new clip from John Kerry.

00:08:50.880 Play the clip.

00:08:51.880 And President Biden asked me about it and I told him and expressed.

00:08:56.180 You told Joe Biden that it was not the right.

00:08:58.420 He asked me, he said, what's the situation?

00:09:00.460 And I explained exactly, he had not been aware of that.

00:09:04.820 He literally had not been aware of what had transpired.

00:09:09.760 And I don't want to go into the details of it, but suffice it to say that the president,

00:09:16.800 my president, is very committed to strengthening the relationship and making sure that this

00:09:25.580 is a small event of the past and moving on to the much more important future.

00:09:29.900 So John Kerry saying this massive breach of U.S. diplomacy with France, literally our

00:09:35.360 oldest ally, that Biden had no idea what was going on.

00:09:40.920 And some people say, how could that be?

00:09:42.800 How is that even possible?

00:09:45.180 Well, in response, here's what Biden said.

00:09:47.360 Play this clip.

00:09:48.060 Parenthetically, when you build a charging station, it's like back in the day when my grandpa worked

00:09:53.340 for the American oil company back in the turn of this in the 19, 19, 20 in that area, they

00:09:59.180 went from state to state convincing people that they put, allow them to put 20,000 gallons

00:10:05.120 of gasoline under the ground.

00:10:06.580 They didn't want them around.

00:10:07.920 OK, that was a little joke.

00:10:09.220 Obviously, Biden didn't say that.

00:10:10.840 All right.

00:10:11.040 Fact checkers.

00:10:12.080 All right.

00:10:12.500 Lead Stories, Alan Duke, Media Matters.

00:10:14.780 Obviously, Biden didn't say that in response.

00:10:17.440 But let's be honest here, folks.

00:10:19.460 I think the rest of the world can see this president.

00:10:23.780 They can see this guy.

00:10:25.160 They know he's our Yelton, right?

00:10:27.380 He's not exactly the one who is making the decisions.

00:10:31.180 So when Kerry says that, and by the way, Kerry is absolutely throwing Biden under the bus.

00:10:35.920 And I think it's because that Kerry can see all of these problems going on throughout

00:10:40.760 the world, but they've kind of they've kind of pigeonholed him.

00:10:43.940 They've they've kind of put him on the shelf in this climate position.

00:10:46.860 So you've got him now going over to France, but then opining on something to do with larger

00:10:52.080 Biden administration policies, essentially being that that France situation and throwing

00:10:56.960 shade directly throwing Biden under the bus.

00:10:59.580 So it's really amazing.

00:11:00.540 You know, you understand what's happening here, folks.

00:11:01.940 Now you have a situation where the shade war has opened up multilateral fronts.

00:11:10.620 So now you've got Team K Kamala.

00:11:13.040 Now you've got Team JK, Team John Kerry.

00:11:16.060 Really, what's going on here is that you're seeing more and more people speak publicly against

00:11:20.820 Biden.

00:11:21.480 They're not facing any repercussions for it.

00:11:23.840 They're not facing any consequences.

00:11:25.080 There's no accountability.

00:11:26.320 And what are they going to do?

00:11:27.060 Have Jen Psaki saying something snarky about them at the White House briefing?

00:11:31.140 And by the way, do you remember when they tried to make sake bomb a thing?

00:11:35.460 They're like, oh, that's a sake bomb.

00:11:36.940 And all these like blue check libs, I call them blue anons, were trying to make this like 1.00

00:11:41.940 a catchphrase.

00:11:42.960 It was such a force meme and nobody says it anymore.

00:11:46.000 This administration has lost the support even of their fellow Democrats.

00:11:51.300 Even you got even John Kerry, you got lurch out there throwing you under the bus.

00:11:55.360 Oh, stay tuned.

00:11:56.700 We'll be right back.

00:12:01.140 Now, I told you today we were going to be talking about China.

00:12:04.360 This is going to be a China-focused episode.

00:12:06.100 And yet, I also have to talk about this faux Facebook whistleblower who completely glows in

00:12:12.440 the dark.

00:12:13.300 And if you want to get a sense of how that ties to China, it's actually quite simple.

00:12:19.140 I've talked about this before.

00:12:20.980 This is the axis of authoritarianism between the 1% in the United States and the CCP.

00:12:26.740 This is what I call overstate theory.

00:12:30.460 The idea that our relationship with China has not made them more open and transparent.

00:12:36.300 Our relationship with China has made us more authoritarian. 0.96

00:12:39.860 Now, listen to what she said in the hearing yesterday.

00:12:43.540 Yesterday, we saw Facebook get taken off the Internet.

00:12:47.420 I don't know why I went down, but I know that for more than five hours, Facebook wasn't used

00:12:52.460 to deepen divides, destabilize democracies, and make young girls and women feel bad about

00:12:58.500 their bodies.

00:12:59.520 I also believe there needs to be a dedicated oversight body, because right now, the only

00:13:03.800 people in the world who are trained to analyze these experiments, to understand what's happening

00:13:08.380 inside of Facebook, are people who grew up inside of Facebook, or Pinterest, or another

00:13:13.640 social media company.

00:13:15.040 And there needs to be a regulatory home where someone like me could do a tour of duty after

00:13:19.940 working at a place like this, and have a place to work on things like regulation, to

00:13:24.680 bring that information out to the oversight boards that have the right to do oversight.

00:13:30.180 A regulatory agency within the federal government?

00:13:32.180 Yes.

00:13:32.440 Probably the most Orwellian thing you could possibly hear, right?

00:13:37.460 This isn't a whistleblower.

00:13:38.760 I want to be very clear about that.

00:13:40.280 A whistleblower is someone who comes out and then details nefarious misdeeds of a company

00:13:45.820 in order to expose the company and right the wrongs that it's done.

00:13:50.300 This isn't what that is.

00:13:52.120 She hasn't revealed any information that we didn't already know about Facebook whatsoever.

00:13:56.700 What this is, it's a political operation that's being run on the American people.

00:14:02.220 It started with 60 Minutes.

00:14:03.720 I called it out then.

00:14:05.040 She's now taken it to the Senate.

00:14:07.200 We also found out, and I reported this exclusively at humanevents.com, so go there and check this

00:14:11.900 out, that not only is she someone who's being repped by the lawyers for Eric Charamella, the

00:14:19.160 guy who was the whistleblower, whistleblower, in the first Trump impeachment, that she also

00:14:24.440 has the PR firm of Bryson Gillette.

00:14:29.160 That's the same Bryson Gillette that used to be the PR firm of none other than Jen Psaki,

00:14:34.840 the White House press secretary.

00:14:36.280 So do you see how this works?

00:14:37.660 Jen Psaki's press firm, Eric Charamella's legal team.

00:14:41.700 We all understand what's going on here.

00:14:43.980 And further, we also reported at Human Events that I was able to break the story that these

00:14:49.160 conspiracy theories.

00:14:50.200 Remember she said she had a friend who was involved with conspiracy theories.

00:14:53.340 We told you that story yesterday.

00:14:54.240 We couldn't figure out what it was.

00:14:55.140 I had someone who was able to reach out to someone very close to the whistleblower and

00:15:03.620 find out what exactly were these conspiracy theories that you lost your friend over.

00:15:08.740 The men's rights red pill movement, right? 0.99

00:15:13.600 This is ridiculous. 0.99

00:15:15.160 This is completely ridiculous. 0.99

00:15:17.320 And now she's taking her show on the road. 0.95

00:15:19.800 She's going to be going to the EU, and she's going to be testifying there over the course

00:15:23.580 of several weeks. 0.99

00:15:25.260 Cut the crap. 0.99

00:15:27.260 We understand what's going on here. 1.00

00:15:29.360 Orwell called it.

00:15:31.000 You want big government.

00:15:34.240 You want the power of the government to come in and censor.

00:15:37.880 And they understand, by the way, they understand that because people are leaving Facebook, they're

00:15:42.320 leaving Twitter.

00:15:43.240 People are starting parallel utilities, such as Getter, parallel platforms.

00:15:47.980 Getter, Telegram, Rumble Video is a great example.

00:15:52.840 You know, we love all those guys.

00:15:54.120 Of course, we love everything else, right?

00:15:55.540 But that's where they can go.

00:15:56.720 That's the same place.

00:15:57.540 Like when Mike Lindell was starting to be canceled everywhere, that he finally went and

00:16:01.580 was able to go to Getter and go to all these other places.

00:16:03.500 And by the way, where you can also go and use promo code POSO for up to 66% off.

00:16:08.180 But seriously, the situation is that the only answer for the censors is to not be able to

00:16:15.460 censor internally like she was last year.

00:16:19.000 They want a law.

00:16:19.920 But by the way, I started looking into the resume of Frances Haugen.

00:16:25.080 She was a member of the civic integrity team for Facebook in 2020.

00:16:29.320 What's the civic integrity team known for?

00:16:31.140 However, that was the team that censored the New York Post's Hunter Biden story about the

00:16:38.400 laptop in October 2020, the greatest October surprise in U.S. political history.

00:16:45.480 And she was on the team that censored it.

00:16:47.520 Funny enough, she isn't talking about that when she's before Congress and on 60 Minutes.

00:16:54.320 Let that sink in.

00:16:55.920 Stay tuned.

00:16:56.360 HG Daily coming back next.

00:17:01.140 Now, since we're talking about China today, I want to get into what's going on inside of

00:17:06.360 China, what kind of internal pressures Xi Jinping is dealing with.

00:17:09.560 And by the way, it's Chairman Xi, Xi Zhu Xi, not President Xi, Xi Zong Tong.

00:17:14.840 Nobody calls him in Chinese Xi Zong Tong.

00:17:16.880 No, it's Xi Zhu Xi.

00:17:18.360 He is the chairman, Chairman Xi, just like Chairman Mao.

00:17:21.800 Now, the pressures that he's faced with are interesting.

00:17:25.160 So on one hand, he's got an economic shortage, economic issues because of the collapse of

00:17:30.740 Evergrande.

00:17:31.640 He's also got a massive energy shortage due to the coal issues that are going on.

00:17:35.820 I want to run a clip right now where they kind of talk about this, but they blame it

00:17:40.500 on, you know, this is from Chinese media, from Xinhua.

00:17:43.340 So understand that you're getting their version of events where it's not really his fault.

00:17:48.140 It's just sort of this nebulous reasoning that goes through and you're not something to

00:17:52.140 be worried about.

00:17:53.360 And it's no problem.

00:17:54.340 It's no big deal.

00:17:54.960 Take a watch.

00:17:55.360 China is making all-out efforts to ensure the nation's power supply after power outages

00:18:00.680 halted factory production and hit families in some regions, amid calls for a better electricity

00:18:05.880 pricing mechanism and improved energy structure.

00:18:09.040 The power squeeze has compelled multiple provinces in China to implement power rationing, with

00:18:14.300 factory operation hours limited and power usage capped.

00:18:18.120 According to officials and industry analysts, the power shortages are born from a combination

00:18:22.680 of factors, including the country's heavy reliance on coal, the instability of clean power,

00:18:28.440 and surging production activities bolstered by pent-up demand amid economic recovery.

00:18:33.560 China has moved fast in coping with the power crunch, taking a slew of measures to ensure

00:18:38.200 household power supplies and keep factories of the world's second-largest economy running.

00:18:43.280 The National Development and Reform Commission has urged promoting the signing of mid- to long-term

00:18:48.400 coal supply contracts to secure sufficient coal, especially for household use.

00:18:53.680 The country's largest utility company, the State Grid Corporation of China, has pledged

00:18:58.640 to avoid power cuts or outages.

00:19:00.340 But there was a great column over at Epoch Times, and this was by Milton Esrati, and I wanted

00:19:05.740 to break this down for you.

00:19:07.100 So go over to Epoch Times, check this out, support them.

00:19:09.180 They're fantastic.

00:19:10.180 They cover not only what's going on in China, but also the persecution of Favre Nguyen, which

00:19:14.580 goes on over there.

00:19:15.640 His headline, China's economy hit with a three-punch combination.

00:19:20.840 China's economy has had a rough summer, first hit by a rise in COVID-19, another rise going

00:19:26.620 on with COVID-19 in China, which we were told that China's supposed to be perfect.

00:19:30.220 Then Evergrande, this real estate giant, which is actually a shadow bank, looks like it's

00:19:34.860 going under.

00:19:35.740 And finally, power shortages throughout the country.

00:19:38.220 We just talked about this.

00:19:40.180 Beijing's manufacturing index sank to 49.6 from 50.1 in August.

00:19:47.560 Any figure under 50 indicates a contraction.

00:19:51.780 So you're seeing that contracted levels.

00:19:53.700 You're even potentially seeing, you know, just skipping through, they're looking at maybe

00:19:56.880 even 47.5.

00:19:59.140 Understand what that drives.

00:20:01.300 You're not going to have supplies getting to the United States because what?

00:20:04.740 Everything is manufactured in China.

00:20:06.620 So we're not going to be, this is like, and we're going into fourth quarter.

00:20:09.600 This is Christmas.

00:20:10.640 This is everything that's supposed to be going on for retail in terms of the U.S.

00:20:13.720 Guess what?

00:20:14.440 You're not going to be able to get your products from China.

00:20:16.900 So that means the shelves in the U.S. are going to go bare.

00:20:19.420 Then, if they also hit bigger manufacturing issues, you're going to see unemployment skyrocket

00:20:24.620 in China.

00:20:25.260 So what are they doing?

00:20:26.240 They're talking about Taiwan.

00:20:27.600 And take a look at the Chinese box office.

00:20:29.680 What's the number one movie that the CCP is pushing?

00:20:33.240 It's a movie about the Korean War, a brand new movie that just came out, and about the

00:20:38.140 Chinese army fighting and defeating the Americans.

00:20:41.360 Do you get what they're doing?

00:20:44.860 They are trying, and Xi Jinping is trying to focus their people, the La Baixing and the 1.00

00:20:50.040 people of China, away from their economic problems with Taiwan and America, and using 0.61

00:20:55.920 belligerence as an ability to essentially get them away from, divide them from paying

00:21:01.200 attention to all the problems that are happening.

00:21:03.360 Thank you so much again for following Human Events Daily.

00:21:20.440 We've still been able to be there, even though, of course, ideals still do say that we're actually

00:21:24.320 in the top two, because that NBC one, that's not actually a political podcast.

00:21:28.540 But just thank you from the bottom of my heart.

00:21:35.100 You are being the influence agents.

00:21:37.260 Today's moment in history before we go.

00:21:40.240 Today in 1981, the assassination of Egyptian President Anwar Sadat by a group of radical

00:21:47.460 Islamists within his own military.

00:21:50.900 Crazy. 0.96

00:21:51.880 That's all the time we have for Human Events Daily.

00:21:53.380 Ladies and gentlemen, as always, you have my permission to lay ashore.

00:21:57.620 joke.

00:21:58.560 Exactly.

00:21:58.660 Wool already fits in every problem.

00:21:58.880 Thank you for taking action.
