00:01:15.240 Ladies and gentlemen, welcome aboard today's edition of Human Events Daily powered by Turning Point USA.

00:01:20.940 Today's stories in the headlines.

00:01:23.700 First, we just saw the end of President Biden's administration.

00:01:28.900 I'll explain what I mean by that.

00:01:30.220 Second, Ghislaine Maxwell is ending her fight to keep the John Doe names sealed from the Epstein network. 0.54

00:01:37.660 Third, Washington, D.C.

00:01:39.000 Our nation's capital vaccine mandates are taking effect tomorrow, January 15th.

00:01:45.220 And then finally, Baltimore prosecutor Marilyn Mosby has been federally indicted on perjury.

00:01:50.960 All this and more ahead, Human Events Daily.

00:01:52.420 It's not so often that you see something like this, where you see a presidential administration not only completely collapse like a house of cards or a cheap suit on one singular day.

00:02:16.440 But what's really amazing is that now that we're in the 21st century and we have cameras 24-7, we have social media, we actually saw the collapse of an American presidency in real time, live on television.

00:02:33.060 Take a look.

00:02:34.180 And I'm not sure either.

00:02:36.900 But anyway, I hope we can get this done.

00:02:38.480 But I'm not sure.

00:02:40.280 But one thing for certain, one thing for certain, like every other major civil rights bill that came along, if we miss the first time, we can come back and try it a second time.

00:02:54.600 We miss this time.

00:02:57.240 We miss this time.

00:02:58.680 And the state legislative bodies continue to change the law, not as to who can vote, but who gets to count the vote, count the vote, count the vote.

00:03:11.660 It's about election subversion, not just whether or not people get to vote.

00:03:18.360 Who counts the vote?

00:03:21.000 That's what this is about.

00:03:22.220 That's what makes this so different than anything else we've ever done.

00:03:25.280 I don't know that we can get it done, but I know one thing.

00:03:28.560 As long as I have a breath in me, as long as I'm in the White House, as long as I'm engaged at all, I'm going to be fighting to change the way these legislatures have moved.

00:03:38.460 Thank you.

00:03:38.940 And what you see there, it's something that's just, it's diminished.

00:03:42.960 This is the leader of the United States of America.

00:03:46.160 This is the president of the United States.

00:03:48.800 An angry old man yelling at children to get off of his lawn.

00:03:53.420 Joe Rogan put it, he said, what did he say?

00:03:56.880 Biden is like a flashlight, but the batteries are dying and you're going on a long hike in the woods.

00:04:04.300 So understand where we're at.

00:04:05.480 And USA Today, which USA Today, if you've seen some of the crazy stuff, they wrote that crazy pedophile article earlier this week that we got them to delete or at least delete the tweets about.

00:04:14.900 They put this thing out and they said, the administration is completely failing in every single one of their agenda items in Congress.

00:04:24.720 Remember, the Congress that they control, the House and the Senate.

00:04:29.320 These latest setbacks landed exactly the wrong time for administration reeling from confusing centers for disease control and prevention guidelines, supply chain shortages that won't end, the highest inflation rate since the Carter administration, and an approval rating that makes former President Donald Trump look like the most popular kid in school.

00:04:48.720 I want people to understand, the Biden administration at this point has negative political capital.

00:04:53.560 They are desperate.

00:04:54.720 And desperate people do desperate things.

00:04:57.880 Internally, we are told here at Human Events Daily that they are discussing military options in Eastern Europe, exacerbating the border tensions there that have existed for many, many years, decades in some cases, between Ukraine and Russia.

00:05:13.760 Exacerbate that situation.

00:05:15.280 Why?

00:05:15.720 To wag the dog.

00:05:16.980 Look, we are entering a dangerous phase.

00:05:20.940 The Biden administration is a cornered animal.

00:05:24.640 So be on guard.

00:05:26.340 Do not let up your guard.

00:05:27.960 Patriots, have your heads on a swivel because this regime is lashing out in every single direction.

00:05:36.760 You think that inflation is bad now?

00:05:39.780 You think inflation and spending is bad now?

00:05:42.780 There's a reason that they're going after people now, right?

00:05:46.600 Military retirees and people that, you know, were messing around on text message and calling them seditionists and having the DOJ lash out.

00:05:54.920 You understand now why the Department of Justice is opening up a domestic terrorism unit.

00:06:03.840 They're not doing that to go after actual anti-government extremists.

00:06:08.500 They're not doing that to go after actual people that are committing crimes in the United States.

00:06:13.500 Homicides, we have a pandemic of homicides.

00:06:15.880 Every single major city in this country either hit record highs or is at record highs for homicides in 2021.

00:06:23.240 Nobody's talking about it outside of this program.

00:06:26.580 Why is that?

00:06:28.020 Pandemic of homicides.

00:06:30.000 And yet, is the Department of Justice doing anything about that?

00:06:33.400 Are we going to have any one of these things where we see the federal government come in and help out any of these major cities?

00:06:38.760 Not only is the crime increasing on the streets, you've got the homeless crisis exacerbated by fentanyl, exacerbated by the mental crisis that we've got across our cities.

00:06:49.640 You'll walk through the streets covered in syringes and human feces, and you won't actually do anything about that.

00:06:57.240 But you're worried about the people, the grandmas, who were walking around the Capitol building unescorted on January 6th.

00:07:02.760 These are the signs of a desperate administration, and desperate people do desperate things.

00:07:14.640 Well, here's an interesting headline that's come out in the Ghislaine Maxwell case.

00:07:20.600 Mediaite.com, left-wing website, left-wing blog, Ghislaine Maxwell ends fight to keep John Doe names sealed.

00:07:27.920 Oh, that's interesting, because I remember when I talked about the Epstein Network names being sealed, that Newsweek and everybody else was running up and saying,

00:07:36.940 Oh, Posobiec, you know, that's not what happened.

00:07:40.340 Those names aren't sealed.

00:07:41.260 Don't talk about those names.

00:07:42.680 No, he's conflating this case and that case.

00:07:45.360 Look, I understand the situation.

00:07:47.260 The names of the Epstein Network are sealed.

00:07:50.660 I didn't say that the jury ruled that they should be sealed.

00:07:54.540 My point was that we, the public, have a right to understand what exactly was going on in the highest—I've said this on every single episode of this program where I've talked about Ghislaine Maxwell.

00:08:06.560 I said, Look, we need to know who was involved in this thing.

00:08:10.900 Why have they not been charged if they were involved in this?

00:08:13.920 And you can go to Mediaite right here.

00:08:15.320 It says, Prosecutors described this as Epstein's pyramid scheme of sexual abuse of minor girls.

00:08:24.780 Okay, if this was a pyramid scheme, then who were the other people involved?

00:08:28.780 Because we can see people like Jean-Luc Brunel, who has been charged, Ghislaine Maxwell, who has been charged.

00:08:33.460 Brunel, of course, was a French model recruiter.

00:08:38.260 He was Epstein's procurement guy from Europe.

00:08:40.680 Then we've got Maxwell, the procurement madam from the United States. 0.96

00:08:45.280 What's going on?

00:08:46.580 Who were the people procured for?

00:08:48.440 Who were these girls, these victims, procured for? 0.97

00:08:51.980 Who was the pyramid scheme with?

00:08:54.480 Was there blackmail involved in this?

00:08:56.720 Why were these people all putting their money in with Epstein to have him manage them despite no, you know, acumen or background in this?

00:09:02.800 Because that's what we're talking about.

00:09:05.360 Some of the highest names, the biggest names in Western academia, Western finance, Western business, and even Western government.

00:09:14.400 Not to mention Hollywood, Kevin Spacey.

00:09:16.920 What's going on?

00:09:18.200 Explain to us what's going on.

00:09:19.920 That's why it's important that the names come out.

00:09:21.840 And we know that the names of this pyramid scheme have been continued to be sealed.

00:09:26.560 One of them, by the way, that has come out is, of course, Prince Andrew, who was just stripped of his official title.

00:09:33.780 So now, in his lawsuit against Virginia Giffray, who is the victim that's been suing him in terms of all this, really one of the first victims to come out and get the ball rolling in terms of all of this,

00:09:45.300 he's got to now face that as a private citizen.

00:09:48.940 Someone who's literally a member of the royal family.

00:09:52.060 The second son of Queen Elizabeth.

00:09:54.220 So listen to one of the lawyers in this situation, Gloria Allred, describe that case and Virginia Giffray.

00:10:01.100 The Prince is going to be in a world of hurt and a world of trouble.

00:10:05.520 Not comfortable to have to sit there and answer questions in this lawsuit, which alleges that he was sexually inappropriate with Virginia when she was only 17.

00:10:20.300 Now, here's the Mediate story.

00:10:21.500 Virginia Giffray's request to unseal documents that name names in her since-settled civil lawsuit against Ghislaine Maxwell,

00:10:29.060 which led to a lengthy and ongoing open records battle.

00:10:32.100 In December of last year, Manhattan jury in Maxwell's trial returned guilty verdicts.

00:10:36.380 Maxwell faces federal charges under violations of the Mann Act and sexual trafficking of a minor for her role as Epstein's longtime confidant and now convicted accomplice.

00:10:45.560 Depending on what lies underneath the redactions, the unsealed information could make waves inside the same courthouse and around the world.

00:10:57.040 In a legal brief, and this is interesting, Giffray filed on Wednesday.

00:11:00.720 Giffray requested that the judge unseal the names of the John Does currently kept out of the public eye,

00:11:06.560 in part due to their complaints about how disruptive the media attention would be in their lives.

00:11:11.900 But, this is what's very interesting, Maxwell had previously fought against the unsealing of the legal names of the John Does revealed in the still-sealed court documents.

00:11:22.880 But, a letter from her lawyer, dated January 12th, notes that Maxwell, quote,

00:11:29.360 does not wish to further address detailed objections submitted by non-party Does 17, 53, 55, 73, 93, and 151.

00:11:42.240 So, who were those John Does?

00:11:44.240 And the full letter is here.

00:11:46.600 Understand what's going on.

00:11:47.900 Each of the listed Does has counsel who have ably asserted their own respective privacy rights.

00:11:55.640 Ms. Maxwell, therefore, leaves it to this court to conduct the appropriate review consistent with the order and protocol for unsealing decided motions.

00:12:03.380 You've got to understand, when it comes to sealed documents, privacy concerns obviously play a role.

00:12:10.240 But, if you've got a situation where someone was involved in the commission of a crime, specifically the crime we're talking about here, child rape,

00:12:20.600 that's something where the court has to take that into consideration as well.

00:12:25.660 Because, once that comes out, then prosecutors, and from the civil side, attorneys and victims, can then take action based on those court documents.

00:12:35.120 So, pretty much, it comes down to this.

00:12:37.280 Ghislaine Maxwell, she hasn't named names.

00:12:39.580 And I told her, I said early on this program, I said, Ghislaine, you need to cut a deal.

00:12:44.940 Do the right thing.

00:12:46.240 Finally, after all these years, and after so much pain and anguish and torture that you have been at the hands of,

00:12:55.360 turn it around.

00:12:56.640 Do the right thing.

00:12:58.380 Be the person that says, now it all stops.

00:13:01.620 Yes, I'm going to flip, and I'm going to come out and tell the truth and name the name.

00:13:08.260 So, maybe, just maybe, we're getting a glimmer of that.

00:13:14.520 Tomorrow is going to be a historic day for the United States of America.

00:13:20.220 A historic day for our capital.

00:13:22.000 And a historic day in the relationship between the federal government, which many have described as a regime,

00:13:31.600 and the American people, the citizens of this nation, the citizenry of the republic.

00:13:37.680 Do we have a republic where citizens are allowed to travel to their national capital

00:13:43.160 to petition their federal government for a redress of grievances?

00:13:47.100 You might have heard that phraseology before.

00:13:50.860 It's kind of the same phraseology where the phrase human events comes from, like the name of the show.

00:13:56.700 You know, when in the course of human events.

00:14:00.060 Tomorrow, vaccine mandate is being levied on Washington, D.C.

00:14:05.900 According to the D.C. Health Department, beginning January 15, 2022, specific D.C. public businesses

00:14:12.560 will require all patrons age 12 years or older to show proof that they have received at least one dose

00:14:18.500 of the COVID-19 vaccine before they are allowed entry.

00:14:21.460 Two doses will be required starting February 15.

00:14:24.520 Establishments must visibly display signage informing patrons that proof of COVID-19 vaccination

00:14:31.160 is required to enter indoors.

00:14:33.500 You can go to vaxdc.dc.gov.

00:14:37.440 So understand that.

00:14:38.720 If you are unvaccinated, you are now unwelcome in your nation's capital.

00:14:44.920 Now, we've got two major patriot marches that are set to take place just one week from now.

00:14:52.340 So one week from today, January 21st, is the March for Life,

00:14:56.240 the largest march in the pro-life movement.

00:14:58.900 And then two days after that is the march against the mandates.

00:15:03.780 And that's being led by Dr. Malone, by Brett Weinstein, by a whole bunch of people, a lot of speakers.

00:15:08.500 That's going to be the Sunday after the March for Life.

00:15:11.660 So two major patriot marches.

00:15:14.020 And then one week before that, tomorrow, D.C. is imposing the vaccine mandate.

00:15:19.840 Just a coincidence, I'm sure.

00:15:21.700 Totally nothing to see here.

00:15:23.440 There's absolutely no connection between the two.

00:15:26.180 So here is the full list, and you can listen to the D.C. Health Department reading off the list of the establishments

00:15:31.960 that you will now no longer be welcome in, in D.C., in your nation's capital, if you don't have a vaccine passport.

00:15:39.220 So the locations that this mandate covers where you're required to have a vaccine are restaurants, bars, nightclubs, breweries, or wineries,

00:15:51.180 seated dining halls, restaurants, cafes, museums, hotels, and other public venues, movie theaters,

00:15:59.220 concert live entertainment venues, sporting venues, gyms, fitness studios, hotel meeting rooms, banquet halls,

00:16:07.220 conference centers, convention centers, auditorium, and any other location determined by the director of D.C. Health.

00:16:15.000 So if you want to take a seat in a diner starting tomorrow in Washington, D.C.,

00:16:19.180 if you want to sit down and eat your dinner at a diner,

00:16:23.080 excuse me, this diner is vaccinated only.

00:16:26.640 Excuse me, this restaurant is vaccinated only.

00:16:30.000 Excuse me, this movie theater is vaccinated only.

00:16:32.420 Oh, you're an unvaxxer?

00:16:34.500 You're unvaxxed?

00:16:35.700 You're unwashed?

00:16:36.500 You're unclean?

00:16:37.020 I'm sorry.

00:16:39.140 Head over to PG County, Maryland.

00:16:41.540 Head down to Virginia.

00:16:43.380 This place, this city, not for you.

00:16:47.340 Ladies and gentlemen, this is the message that your nation's capital is sending to you.

00:16:53.260 Now, by the way, Mayor Bowser, who's the mayor here in Washington, D.C.,

00:16:56.800 she knows exactly what she's doing because she wants,

00:17:00.920 and she's been doing this for years, by the way,

00:17:03.260 has been moving working class families and poor families out of Washington, D.C.

00:17:07.980 to gentrify it for her developer buddies to bring in rich yuppies on Capitol Hill 0.99

00:17:14.940 and Hill staffers to come in and populate the city.

00:17:17.680 And everybody else, everyone who's working class,

00:17:19.900 everyone who's been living in the city for 40, 50 years, the families,

00:17:23.600 you're all kicked out.

00:17:24.480 You're all done.

00:17:25.960 Bowser knows exactly what she's doing in terms of all this

00:17:28.400 and which demographics are going to be hit the hardest by it.

00:17:31.180 She doesn't care.

00:17:32.300 She wants it.

00:17:34.200 This is exactly what she wants because she wants higher office, 1.00

00:17:36.960 and we all know that.

00:17:38.440 Here's what's interesting, though.

00:17:39.860 Very, very interesting.

00:17:41.560 The United States Congress can actually remand any law that's passed by the city of D.C.

00:17:50.640 because, remember, the city of D.C. is a federal territory.

00:17:53.880 It is not a sovereign state or a city within a state.

00:17:57.740 What does that mean?

00:17:59.300 That if the leadership of the Congress were to, say, change in about 10 months,

00:18:04.600 then it's possible that Congress could force the reopening of Washington, D.C.

00:18:11.020 Winter Storm Izzy hitting this weekend.

00:18:17.400 We just got the report here in Washington, D.C.

00:18:19.520 We're going to be hit with it Sunday night going into Monday.

00:18:22.120 Frozen rain, wintery mix.

00:18:24.040 You're talking about Arctic winter bombs, Arctic ice bombs from the Northeast, the South, the Midwest.

00:18:30.460 What do you do?

00:18:31.020 You go to MyPillow.com.

00:18:32.660 You use promo code POSO.

00:18:34.460 You can snuggle up in their slippers.

00:18:37.440 You got the throw blankets.

00:18:38.660 You got the quilts.

00:18:39.660 You even got the robes.

00:18:40.560 If you want to get the bathrobes for everybody, go to MyPillow.com.

00:18:43.280 Promo code POSO.

00:18:45.080 But this next story, ladies and gentlemen, this is really the feel-good story,

00:18:49.300 not just of the day, but of the entire week.

00:18:52.360 Ladies and gentlemen, Baltimore prosecutor Marilyn Mosby has been federally indicted for perjury. 0.96

00:18:59.860 Oh, womp, womp, the littlest violin.

00:19:03.600 Charges related to a COVID-19 financial hardship withdrawal and false statements on loan applications.

00:19:08.920 You know, they say that you shouldn't be happy, you know, at another's misfortune.

00:19:15.760 But at the same time, when I see somebody like Marilyn Mosby, who is a crooked Baltimore politician, 0.99

00:19:23.500 a crooked government official being taken down this way.

00:19:26.940 You know, by the way, this is like the reason that I say that the wire never ended,

00:19:30.680 because the wire just spilled over into real life.

00:19:32.860 Because now instead of seeing the wire, which was all about crooked Baltimore bureaucrats

00:19:37.120 and government officials and police, now we're seeing crooked government officials

00:19:42.220 and bureaucrats in real life in Baltimore.

00:19:44.620 So, and it's the same really throughout most cities.

00:19:47.220 But Baltimore really is, Charm City, right?

00:19:49.760 Charm City really is just one of the jewels of all of this.

00:19:52.720 But one of my favorites, so Marilyn Mosby, of course, most famously known for her 2015 speech

00:19:59.520 that kicked off the Freddie Gray riots, rioting throughout all of Baltimore.

00:20:04.720 But then just a couple of years later, she got an endorsement by then Senator, now Vice President Kamala Harris.

00:20:11.880 Let's play the video.

00:20:12.780 When we march and we shout about what we need to do to reform the criminal justice system,

00:20:17.640 we better understand that we've got to march and shout with our paychecks

00:20:20.940 and all of the work that we can do to actually make sure that somebody like Marilyn Mosby

00:20:25.940 gets reelected into that office to not only get convictions, but have convictions.

00:20:30.800 There are a lot of people who are highly critical of her

00:20:34.140 because she heard the voices of the people and said,

00:20:37.880 even if I can't win, I'm going to do the right thing.

00:20:43.700 It's going to be rough.

00:20:44.920 It's going to be tough.

00:20:46.780 She cannot fail.

00:20:48.640 And I know she will not fail.

00:20:50.780 So what are the actual charges?

00:20:53.420 According to the four-count indictment, Mosby, by the way,

00:20:56.380 whose husband is the president of the city council,

00:20:59.300 just another wonderful group of people,

00:21:01.140 Mosby claimed to have experienced financial hardship due to the COVID-19 pandemic

00:21:05.720 in order to withdraw from the city's deferred compensation plan on two separate occasions.

00:21:10.920 So she claimed that she was experiencing a COVID-19 hardship.

00:21:15.140 She goes out for this loan. 0.83

00:21:16.160 And what did she do?

00:21:17.500 Well, oh my goodness.

00:21:18.940 She bought a half a million dollar home in Kissimmee, Florida,

00:21:23.640 just by Orlando, by Disney World,

00:21:25.260 and then another mortgage for a $428,000 mortgage

00:21:29.020 to purchase a condo in Longboat Key, Florida.

00:21:32.060 So this is what's going on, ladies and gentlemen.

00:21:34.100 You understand what's happening here?

00:21:35.900 Your cities, cities like Baltimore,

00:21:37.940 where the homicide rates are like nothing they've seen in decades, in 30 years.

00:21:43.180 We talked about the pandemic of homicides.

00:21:44.860 And Baltimore, of course, is one of the top in terms of homicide rate.

00:21:47.900 The officials there aren't worried about cleaning up the streets

00:21:53.340 or taking care of people or stopping the people from killing each other.

00:21:57.240 No, no, no, no.

00:21:58.200 They're all buying homes in Florida.

00:22:01.020 Isn't that nice?

00:22:02.400 Isn't that wonderful?

00:22:03.880 Isn't that just warm the coggles of your heart?

00:22:06.780 So Marilyn Mosby has been charged federally in this. 0.73

00:22:10.280 She should have been behind bars a long, long time ago,

00:22:13.260 along with probably half the politicians in every single city in this country.

00:22:17.400 And that's it for us this week.

00:22:19.380 We're closing out human events.

00:22:20.900 Thank you so much again to everybody.

00:22:37.380 It's quick, it's short, it's brief, and then it's done.

00:22:40.260 And it's going to listen to 2xSpeed.

00:22:41.800 You get all of the news in just 12 minutes.

00:22:44.380 And by the way, go leave us one of those reviews on Apple or Spotify,

00:22:47.820 wherever you get your podcasts, five stars.

00:22:49.300 Come on, you know we deserve it.

00:22:50.540 Well, you deserve it too.

00:22:51.480 Today's moment of history before we go.

00:22:53.900 January 14th, 1784, the Continental Congress ratified the Treaty of Paris,

00:23:00.640 officially establishing the United States as a sovereign nation.

00:23:05.140 Defend our sovereignty, because that's what they want to take away.

00:23:08.920 Ladies and gentlemen, you have my permission to lay ashore.
