00:11:14.460 her to play for their team the same way they did with Eileen Goo. Of course, she knew how much

00:11:18.620 money she could make had she done that. She refused. She played for Team USA. She competed

00:11:22.880 for Team USA. She won the gold clearly in her own very unique way, Manic Pixie Skater Girl. 0.98

00:11:30.700 And she won, I think, the hearts of America. She's America's sweetheart right now. There's

00:11:35.740 no question. And so this has led to a lot of problems for the left because, of course,

00:16:21.500 really visceral demonstration of loyalty that comes in a moment like winning the gold for the

00:16:27.100 United States. And I think that's why everybody has an easy time celebrating, even if they don't

00:16:30.940 care about anyone's specific political affiliation in this moment. Right. And especially, so people

00:16:35.720 The left was trying to say, oh, well, Alyssa Liu, she's kind of woke, and nobody cares.

00:17:42.980 And from that moment on, when they took the call and they were yamming it up with him, by the way, this is why, like, regular people like Trump.

00:17:58.440 who actually plays for a Canadian team professionally.

00:18:03.500 so he plays for the right team at the Olympics.

00:18:14.480 who want this kind of tyrannical fealty and loyalty to their dogma, whereas conservatives,

00:18:27.660 no, we just want you to be on Team America. That's really it.

00:18:30.860 Yeah. Ultimately, you recognize that I'm sure not every person on the hockey team is a huge

00:18:36.260 supporter of Donald Trump or voting Republican every time, but they put that aside because

00:18:40.080 that's not who they are in this moment. They are exemplars of the American spirit. They're out

00:18:44.160 there representing us. They're showing our excellence. They're performing on behalf of

00:18:48.760 the United States. And in that moment, the leader of the United States is there to celebrate with

00:18:52.480 them. However they feel about a specific policy or whatever, that's pushed to the wayside. Because

00:18:56.820 in this moment, they are just, again, exemplars of the American spirit. And Donald Trump is the

00:19:02.180 leader of that country. And in that moment, you celebrate together, no matter your differences.

00:19:06.840 It's really as simple as that. And it shows the differences along the political dialogue. And

00:22:37.520 you know the response will be well what about the diversity of the uh team usa men's basketball team

00:22:44.480 you know this will be the obvious response and and i guess i mean to say is is this something

00:22:51.120 that bodes well for our politics, if we if can, you know, can we actually bridge the divide here

00:22:56.700 and sort of come back to a more stable place where we say, OK, we are actually all proud to

00:23:03.340 be Americans and we don't have to just make everything about politics first. I think we

00:23:08.140 really are in that moment. And I think this is a predictable cycle. Every once in a while,

00:23:11.500 the left just drives too hard, too fast and puts himself in this position. I think we can all

00:23:16.800 remember back to different things like soldiers coming back from Vietnam and being treated terribly,

00:23:22.760 being called baby killers, the attack on patriotism. We recognize that that was ugly and brutish. And

00:23:28.500 what did that usher in? It ushered in a Reagan-esque movement of people who were proud,

00:23:33.120 wanted to celebrate, wanted to succeed, wanted to see America be celebrated again. I think people

00:23:38.140 ultimately don't want to hear their leaders hate the United States. And the Democrats learned that

00:23:42.900 lesson for a while. Like you said, people like Hillary Clinton, they would talk about parts of

00:23:46.520 America they don't like, or maybe we should be ashamed of. But there was still this general idea

00:23:50.420 that we were kind of on the same team. And at least they were trying to kind of perfect this

00:23:54.420 thing that they cared about, even if it was flawed. Even Obama with his famous, well, I believe

00:28:25.860 the federal government, but no, he died in the helicopter on the way to Mexico City. That was

00:28:31.080 a big thing and a big news, and a lot of speculation were saying, was he assassinated

00:28:34.840 inside of the helicopter because of the enormous extraction of information that he has, or did he

00:28:39.700 die because of the confrontation? More than 25 military men from Mexico died on this confrontation.

00:28:45.240 The head leader of the national defense was crying yesterday on a morning conference saying that it was a great effort from the Mexican military, but they could not accomplish this without the intelligence of the American government.

00:28:59.220 That is incredible information to reaffirm that the secretary of defense said this, that it was a collaboration with intelligence of information provided by the American government.

00:29:09.500 Now, what has happened on the day after, we reported on that same day when there was a narco black case, more than six vehicles that they were burned in the city of Tijuana.

00:39:51.900 The hearing will be held this morning online where a judge is expected to rule on a motion to dismiss the Utah County Prosecutor's Office over an alleged conflict of interest.

00:40:01.440 Before the court is defendant's motion to disqualify Utah County Attorney's Office, defendant argues that high-level prosecutor assigned to this case has a concurrent conflict of interest.

00:40:13.400 And because no efforts were made to screed him, the entire office should be disqualified.

00:40:19.220 Because the defendant has not established a factual basis for a finding of conflict of interest, his motion is respectfully denied.

00:40:29.400 This was the Tyler Robinson motion to try to strike down the prosecutors in the case.

00:40:37.960 It was always a Hail Mary, a desperation play, a delay tactic that we've said over and over

00:41:00.180 Were you surprised that Judge Graff ruled this way, that the prosecutor was in fact,

00:41:04.840 And by the way, the insinuation of bias because his daughter or one of the prosecutor's daughters were there at the trial and that's why the charges were brought and that's why the death penalty was sought. 0.95

00:41:18.340 They did this because it was the assassination of Charlie Kirk and an incredibly heinous act. 0.56

00:41:23.860 And I actually appreciated when the judge ruled and he sort of chided the the defense team a bit there and pointed out that defense of victims is obviously a legitimate bias to have.

00:41:46.180 I was not surprised that Judge Tony Graff ruled in favor of the Utah County Prosecutor's Office.

00:41:52.300 And yes, you are correct. I believe that the defense attorney is trying to do everything they can to delay, delay, delay this trial. And this was just another effort to do that. They had tried to disqualify not just the one prosecutor whose daughter was at Utah Valley on September 10th, but tried to disqualify the entire Utah County prosecutor's office.

00:42:13.620 and Judge Graff went through the list of reasons why that's absolutely not reasonable to do in

00:42:19.660 this case. And I appreciated that. I thought it was very thorough the way he marked that down.

00:42:25.560 He said that prosecutors have absolutely bias against the person that they are prosecuting,

00:42:32.060 and that's part of their job. And that's true. Justice defense attorneys have to do everything

00:42:35.900 they can to make sure that the law is applied fairly to their client. That's what lawyers do.

00:42:40.920 That's the point of it. But these lawyers are going on and they are trying to delay this trial is what it looks like to me. They've brought motion after motion, trying to, you know, keep things moving at a snail's pace.

00:42:54.740 One of the more interesting moments that I thought, and it was a very short hearing today, was when Judge Graff scolded the defense attorneys for apparently not prioritizing the scheduling of this case.

00:43:07.460 And Graff said that it's his responsibility to make sure that everybody's constitutional rights are respected, and that includes the right to a speedy trial.

00:43:16.300 and he um and also uh charlie's widow erica kirk has come in and said hey you know you should you

00:43:23.500 should get on this without any undue uh without any undue delays here and um yeah so he said you

00:43:30.740 really got to prioritize the scheduling in this and the defense attorneys then did have to say

00:43:34.960 okay for the upcoming hearing i will clear my schedule i was supposed to be here or there but

00:43:40.020 i'll try and get around it uh so i thought that was good too and it was actually one of the firmer

00:43:44.680 moments that we've seen from graph in this whole trial so far or the hearings pre-trial so far

00:43:51.020 yeah and there's you know this is one of the biggest um i mean he's made some motions in

00:43:55.960 the past he's granted defense motions in the past by the way when it came to restricting cameras

00:44:00.400 at the sally ports those entrances and exits exits for the defendant um he's he's come down

00:44:07.860 you know on the he's a stickler for the rules is kind of what it seems like to me and which is kind

00:44:12.720 of what you want a judge to be. Obviously, he's been very strict as well with the camera operator

00:44:17.520 saying, look, I don't want you being too close to Tyler Robinson. There's concerns about lip

00:44:23.520 syncing or lip reading, which I've never heard of before in a case. I remember when Kyle Rittenhouse

00:44:29.100 was on trial. I mean, you could see him the entire time or Brian Koberger or any of these other

00:44:33.760 defendants in cases where typically they are on camera. And so one of the first instances I've

00:44:39.680 heard of that. But at the same time, he are saying, look, you guys need to prioritize this

00:44:45.640 case. This is a case, which he understands. Because think of it, their argument is incoherent

00:44:51.020 because on one side, they're trying to say, oh, there's so much media scrutiny. This is such a

00:44:55.520 high profile case. But on the other side, they're also saying that, oh, well, you know, we've got

00:45:00.120 other stuff to do. And these hearings, there's just too many of them and can't really get it

00:45:04.640 the schedule we've got so which is it or is this a high priority case or not and then to your point

00:45:10.560 as well erica kirk also made a motion which under utah law has this unique um this unique feature

00:45:17.920 to it where victims are able to come in and invoke a sort of more strenuous right of speedy trial

00:45:25.360 that they have at the state level to say i want to use whatever um whatever legal power i have

00:45:31.600 as a victim and of course the uh the victim advocate for the estate of charlie kirk so

00:45:51.600 court so that's an official standing that she has within the case and that will certainly come up

00:46:02.800 and she has invoked this right to a speedy trial under utah law that's what the judge was referring

00:46:08.640 to to say look you know i've got to balance this all out and you guys are sitting here telling me

00:46:29.540 Yeah, I think that that's right. And the judge also said that he was going to hold to the May trial date for the basically the preliminary hearing in the trial to move forward.

00:46:51.480 He noted that March 13th is a day that he has completely free on his bench that he could spend the whole day going through all of these motions, and he urged them to make themselves available for that day.

00:47:03.560 There was some discussion about whether or not that could be done via WebEx, and presumably that will be the date when we finally learn Graf's ruling on whether or not cameras will be permitted in the courtroom.
