The United States Attorney has impaneled a grand jury to consider criminal charges in the Trump assassination investigation. The father of one of the most famous Secret Service agents in history has hired a lawyer. And a Michigan secretary of state s office has received complaints about voter registration.
00:00:30.000This is what happens when the fourth turning meets fifth generation warfare.
00:00:39.800A commentator, international social media sensation, and former Navy intelligence veteran.
00:00:46.520This is Human Events with your host, Jack Posobiec.
00:00:50.120Former President Donald Trump will debate Kamala Harris next month.
00:00:54.580The decision comes after days of negotiations between the two campaigns over microphone muting.
00:01:01.220The debate is scheduled for September 10th on ABC.
00:01:05.380Special counsel Jack Smith has just filed a superseding indictment in the federal January 6th case.
00:01:10.920Quote, today, a federal grand jury in the District of Columbia returned a superseding indictment charging the defendant with the same criminal offenses that were charged in the original indictment.
00:01:21.340The superseding indictment, which was presented to a new grand jury that had not previously heard evidence in this case, reflects the government's efforts to respect and implement the Supreme Court's holding and remand instructions.
00:01:32.640Statement from a spokesperson for the Secretary of State in Michigan, it reads,
00:01:36.860Our office has received several complaints from Michigan voters concerned about text messages they've received regarding their voter registration status.
00:01:45.820Our Office of Investigative Services is reviewing the complaints and will refer any suspected criminal activity to the Attorney General or other appropriate law enforcement agencies.
00:01:56.120If someone were to violate the law and not certify the election at the local level, we will come for you.
00:02:03.960So RFK Jr.'s campaign even asking, he urged state election officials to keep his name off the ballot after dropping out and endorsing former President Donald Trump.
00:02:14.840The commission citing state law, essentially forcing their hand, they said, to keep Kennedy's name on the ballot, appoint a contention for the Wisconsin Elections Commission.
00:02:23.840How many times have the members asked, are we prepared, are we prepared, are we prepared, we're not, we're calling the National Guard, now, we should have been here to start out.
00:02:42.640Why weren't the National Guard there to begin with?
00:02:45.240Well, there's not a question of how they have made, they don't know.
00:02:49.400They clearly didn't know, and I take responsibility for not having them just prepared for more.
00:02:56.720All right, ladies and gentlemen, welcome aboard today's edition of Human Events Daily Live, Washington, D.C.
00:03:04.660We have breaking story from humanevents.com.
00:03:08.420We've got it here live and in real time.
00:03:12.040We promised you, if you were following, that we would have news and we have brought the receipts.
00:03:16.500The United States Attorney has impaneled a grand jury to consider criminal charges in the Trump assassination investigation.
00:03:24.660So we knew already, and we've been circling around this for a few days now, that we knew that the father of Thomas Matthew Crooks had lawyered up.
00:03:36.720We know that five Secret Service agents have been placed on leave.
00:03:42.000We also know that numerous other angles are being investigated.
00:03:46.320And so this comes to us by way of America First Legal, who filed a claim requesting records from the Community College of Allegheny County in response to Attorney Wiley Zimulong, which denied the records request.
00:04:02.440So Crooks had been a student there up until May of 2024.
00:04:06.240And so the records request specifically was for emails, text messages, student work, any, any information they had on his student records, potentially that he had the community college where he just graduated with an associate's degree.
00:04:24.720By the way, they were also looking for potential disciplinary records.
00:04:28.360They then wrote back from the Community College, be advised that your request is denied on the basis that it requests records that relate to an ongoing criminal investigation, which exempt from disclosure.
00:04:42.700The purpose of, excuse me, the records you have requested are within the scope of a grand jury subpoena issued to the Community College of Allegheny County by the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania,
00:04:59.920and which the U.S. Attorney's Office has confirmed relate to an ongoing criminal investigation.
00:05:05.760The purpose of a federal grand jury is to consider criminal charges against a target or a range of targets.
00:05:12.360This is the first indication that a grand jury has been empattled in the district to investigate and look at potential charges for the attempted assassination.
00:05:23.400Now, of course, we all know what happened in that day, but there are still many, many questions yet to be seen what happened that day.
00:05:32.920By the way, this information, as far as I know, was not provided to United States Congress.
00:05:37.540This was not provided to the task force that was just in Butler a couple of days ago and, in fact, hasn't been released to anyone that's investigating this on the congressional side.
00:05:48.140But we here at Human Events Daily are able to go, apparently, where other people aren't able to get.
00:05:54.000And that is why we've got this information.
00:05:56.360We need to know what is the government looking at?
00:06:12.100Ladies and gentlemen, one of the best ways that you can support us here at Human Events and the work that we do is subscribing to us on our Rumble channel.
00:06:49.660Folks, Americans are tired and frustrated by a stalling economy, inflation, endless wars, and the relentless assaults on our values.
00:06:57.660Thankfully, there's companies like Patriot Mobile that still believe in America and our Constitution.
00:07:02.820I'm proud to partner with Patriot Mobile because they're on the front lines fighting for the First and Second Amendments, the sanctity of life, and our military and first responder heroes.
00:07:12.060Take a stand for those conservative values and put America first by switching to Patriot Mobile today.
00:07:18.100You'll get the same nationwide coverage as all the big providers because Patriot Mobile operates across all three major networks.
00:07:25.880Plus, they back their service with a coverage guarantee, which, by the way, I hear AT&T is down today.
00:09:35.380So I'm hoping that that's the kind of stuff that's being brought up in this grand jury.
00:09:39.920But, you know, there's so little faith in our institutions right now, especially the national security state and our intelligence agencies,
00:09:50.600that I'm going to say that this is probably somewhere closer to home.
00:09:55.500And this is maybe someone who is likely to, you know, maybe this is going to be the fall guy.
00:10:02.260Because I think that there's been a ton of pressure created from the MAGA base, from Americans in general.
00:10:07.600I mean, Democrats are not – there's, you know, some Democrats who are not taking this lightly either and want answers for what happened.
00:10:14.860So I think that they're prepping basically to get a fall guy in line and, you know, and feed him to the masses and say,
00:10:22.620hey, look, we dealt with this, we took care of this, this is the guy, here's some criminal charges, and basically make him a fall guy.
00:10:30.280Give them that so they don't have to explain the larger picture of what actually went on behind the scenes,
00:10:35.720especially with the Secret Service, the local police, and et cetera.
00:10:40.820Yeah, Vish, one of the – and look, you know, I have to say that the leading, as far as I'm concerned –
00:10:45.880by the way, I just realized, saw in the wide shot there, your collection of MAGA hats back there.
00:11:37.480And also, though – also – no, no, no, no, hold on, hold on.
00:11:43.040But the other side piece of this is that – and not to mention Kamala Harris – but the other piece of this is that we know that the feds told us he was searching what?
00:13:04.780I think, obviously, he knew something was – I think the father definitely knew something was up with his son.
00:13:10.560I think that, you know, basically what we've already learned about the relationship between, you know, Matthew Crooks and Thomas Matthew Crooks, I mean, you know, outside of being the father, but obviously how, you know, how intertwined and close they are.
00:13:26.360I mean, it's feasible that the grand jury could be in panel to bring this gentleman, you know, this gentleman in.
00:13:34.260But I also think that there's something dangerous to that.
00:13:36.500I mean, you just pointed out that Ethan Crumley, you know, mentioned that, you know, these school shootings and these mass shooters come along and, you know, they usually die on the spot or they're taken out.
00:13:48.280And now they're trying to go after the parents.
00:13:50.500You know, this is going to be used as a wide justification, you know, to go after these incel types, especially types that are watching pornography before they go out and pull off mass shootings.
00:14:03.500So, again, this is just, I think, an exercise of jurisdiction by the state.
00:14:11.220Now, look, I'm not saying whether Matthew Crooks is guilty or not guilty, but I'm saying follow the pattern, follow the signal.
00:14:18.600What is being presented in front of you, but also what is not being presented in front of you.
00:14:24.560And so I think that if it only comes down to what, you know, if the accountability factor only comes down to the father, I think that there's still a disservice being done to the American people by not also answering the systemic failures that even facilitated such an event to happen.
00:14:43.280I mean, if the if the if the simple if the simple perimeter was properly secured, a lot of this problem would have would have never happened.
00:14:52.160And we would have been we may not even be having this conversation.
00:14:55.100But that's that's those are the kind of questions we also want answers to.
00:14:59.240It's not just who did this, but how did this happen?
00:15:02.620Not just on a micro scale, but a macro scale.
00:15:05.220Well, this, you know, it's interesting you mentioned that because President Trump was on Dr. Phil yesterday.
00:15:10.960I know a lot of people are watching that interview.
00:17:22.380There should have been this should have been the easiest legislation to pass a long time ago.
00:17:26.580As soon as it happened, the Congress should have came back, passed legislation for a president, a presidential appointed commission as it was done during the Warren Commission.
00:17:36.660And get real people there, real experts, real people with interest, make it a whole of government.
00:17:44.000It should have been a whole of government approach to answer what exactly happened on J-13.
00:17:50.540That is the the the end all be all of it.
00:17:54.720And look, this is just simply not enough.
00:18:57.820You're going to own penalties for taking money out too soon or waiting too long, even though it's your money.
00:19:03.980And thanks to skyrocketing national debt, who knows how much you'll have to pay in taxes when you're retired.
00:19:10.340Let me tell you something with no luck, skill or guesswork required.
00:19:14.900Your plan doesn't go backward when the markets tumble, but your principle and growth are locked in.
00:19:20.880Your money is guaranteed to grow by a larger dollar amount every single year in both good times and bad.
00:19:26.580You'll know the minimum guaranteed value of your retirement savings on the day you plan to tap into them and at every point along the way.

00:19:45.820Just go to bankonyourself.com slash POSO.
00:19:52.380So we've heard more now about the U.S. attorney, the potential for charges.
00:19:58.340Hopefully this is something that U.S. congressmen, U.S. senators can get involved in.
00:20:02.800One of the other big pieces that President Trump announced last week when he brought RFK on stage at the Turning Point Rally there in Phoenix, Arizona,
00:20:11.980was to announce that he would be opening up a presidential commission on assassinations and assassination attempts
00:20:18.760and that it would be headed by RFK with full declassification authority.
00:20:23.740Look, bringing RFK on board, the ability to look into these things, to ask these questions that haven't been asked before,
00:20:31.300that have really been left by the wayside since 1963, by the way.
00:20:36.780Talk to me, now with Tulsi getting on board, talk to me about how this creates a new opportunity for Americans to become part of the MAGA movement.
00:20:46.000Well, you see exactly what President Trump is doing right now, and he's been doing it on the road since he started this campaign.
00:20:55.860I mean, look, he went to the Jersey Shore, the Bronx Rally.
00:20:59.960He has made every overture to every American available since the very beginning of this campaign
00:21:07.140and has gone places and done things that has never been done before on a presidential campaign.
00:21:12.700And now you have folks like Robert F. Kennedy Jr. coming on and endorsing him.
00:31:17.420Look, but there's one thing, one thing that you're forgetting, and it could make the biggest difference in your future and your family's financial future.
00:31:25.100And that's checking out today's show sponsor, Allegiance Gold.
00:31:39.340Kamala Harris is going to do even worse.
00:31:41.160Imagine what four years of her comrade Kamala policies are going to do to increase the rates, increase debt, and increase labor disputes.
00:31:49.360You need something stable so that you can take a breath and know that the money you earned and the retirement that you worked so hard for is going to be safe.
00:31:57.840You've got to proactively protect your assets so that when the supply chains get rocked and Kamala decides to print a few more trillion-dollar bills, it won't impact your family's bottom line.
00:32:09.860And the only way to do that is with the one true beacon of stability that so many patriots use to preserve their wealth.
00:32:18.720Over the last five years, it has almost doubled in value.
00:32:21.920And with the way things are looking, the sky is the limit for gold.
00:32:25.120Allegiance Gold has done things the right way from the beginning, so it's no coincidence that they've earned the highest trust ratings in the precious metals industry.
00:32:33.620I'm talking five stars with TrustLink and an A-plus with a better business bureau.
00:32:38.560Allegiance Gold can help protect your IRA or 401k with physical gold and silver, or you can have it delivered securely directly to your doorstep.
00:32:47.280You can also get, check us out, guys, for the Human Events Daily audience, $5,000 in free silver on a qualifying investment when you go where?
00:32:56.660ProtectWithPoso.com or call 844-577-POSO.
00:33:19.360Mike Davis, I know we've only got you for one segment, but I've got to get your reaction to this breaking news.
00:33:24.940And, you know, full disclosure, I did call Mike and let him know about the story just prior to the show here.
00:33:30.580The breaking news, though, that we have out that a grand jury has been empaneled in western Pennsylvania
00:33:35.980and potentially looking at criminal charges in the Trump attempted assassination.
00:33:39.920So the assassin's dead, so who could this grand jury be looking to investigate and indict it?
00:33:49.580Are there other people involved with this assassination plot?
00:33:53.420Are they looking at family members under some theory of neglect with the gun?
00:33:59.300I'm not sure where this is heading, but it seems like there are other people involved in this assassination plot.
00:34:07.660And so walk us through really quick, how does a grand jury work?
00:34:13.560Could the grand jury just be done for the purpose of issuing subpoenas, or is the grand jury always done with looking at potential targets?
00:34:21.260Well, I mean, with the grand jury, you're looking at potential violations of criminal statutes.
00:34:29.640And so you just can't have robing grand juries to gather information that the investigation by the grand jury has to be in furtherance
00:34:37.600of the investigation of criminal activities so you can go to charges, right?
00:34:43.080And if the assassin's dead, who are they investigating?
00:34:46.700And that's something that I've been looking at.
00:34:51.380Look, so obviously we heard earlier this week that the father had lawyered up,
00:34:57.740and he's got this pretty high dollar, pretty high profile firm that they're looking at.
00:35:02.320And so that would be the biggest one that jumps out at me because we have this information.
00:35:09.220But then again, and going back to the sort of Ethan Crumbly statute, we would, or standard,
00:35:14.160we would then have to know, okay, what exactly was his involvement?
00:35:17.720Because if this was just neglect, there's been some reporting that the son had purchased the gun from his father
00:35:25.260and paid him money for it, but the father hadn't signed it over or something like that.
00:35:29.560That being said, though, where's the criminal liability if he didn't actually know that the attempt was going on?
00:35:37.400Yeah, we have to be very careful about even insinuating that this father has committed a crime.
00:35:44.300I haven't seen any evidence that he's committed any crime.
00:35:47.840This son is 20 years old, so this father didn't have a legal duty as a parent for a 20-year-old son.
00:35:57.600Now, if there's an issue where there's known mental illness and there's known violence and this father gave him the gun,
00:36:05.880and that's one thing, but we have to be very careful about this.
00:36:08.380I don't, you know, let's see where this investigation leads.
00:36:12.820Just because he hired an attorney doesn't mean that he's a target of any investigation.
00:36:19.220He may have just hired an attorney to be very careful when he's talking to investigators.
00:36:23.820I mean, as we discussed, Jack, he did call the police and alert the police about the son.
00:36:30.960I mean, maybe that shows he had some knowledge that the son was dangerous, or maybe he was after the fact.
00:36:35.700Let's just see where the facts are and not imply that this father's culpable for any crime.
00:36:42.240Well, no, and certainly I wouldn't want to imply that either.
00:36:45.640My implication is simply trying to figure out where things go, and I'm going based off of the data that is coming out.
00:36:52.180And again, I'm not necessarily sure that, so they could be looking at the father, but again, you know, my question is, if that were so, where's the criminal liability?
00:37:01.520Because, as you say, he alerted the police that his son's whereabouts were suspicious.
00:37:07.040My question, of course, would be, you know, if his son would just happen to be missing on a Saturday afternoon, 20 years old,
00:37:12.480and he knows that his son goes to the shooting range, the son had been at the shooting range the day before, why call police?
00:37:19.460Now, of course, he saw the video, and this was after the Trump shooting,
00:37:23.920so the father had some reason to believe that that may have, in fact, been his son, and indeed, that was the case.
00:37:32.160I suppose the question then would be, what was that indication?
00:37:35.940And that said, though, to your point, you know, this could be, they could be looking at the Secret Service agents,
00:37:42.940they could be looking at local police, and this would essentially be the standard of raising something from negligence to criminal negligence.
00:37:55.140I mean, you have to remember that Americans generally do not have a duty to stop crimes.
00:38:01.360They don't have a duty to rescue unless there is a specific duty upon you that, you know, for example,
00:38:09.300if you have a duty to rescue because you're a parent, you know, just as a general matter,
00:38:15.240and you may have a moral duty, like if you see a kid drowning, you have a moral duty to jump in and save that kid from drowning,
00:38:23.120but most of the time you don't have a legal duty, and that's kind of shocking for a lot of people.
00:38:27.940In this father's case, unless you can show that this father had some sort of obligation to intervene and stop his 20-year-old son from, you know,
00:38:40.180having this gun or even committing this crime, we have to be very careful about that.
00:38:45.740Again, there's a big difference between a moral duty and a legal duty.
00:38:48.840And that said, so looking at the U.S. attorneys, I happen to look it up.
00:38:55.160So this U.S. attorney was appointed by Joe Biden.
00:38:57.960That means he does essentially fall under Merrick Garland, and this is the same Merrick Garland who hasn't exactly been forthcoming when it comes to, put it this way, he's a very partisan guy.
00:39:09.080I think you said things a little bit more spicy than that regarding Merrick Garland.
00:39:13.000He's a total partisan hack, and we dodged a legal bullet by Mitch McConnell and my former boss, Chuck Grassley,
00:39:24.480blocking his appointment to the Supreme Court because he tried to pretend like he's this old-school liberal, moderate liberal.
00:39:31.700He is a partisan activist who's done more damage to this country than any attorney general in our history by politicizing and weaponizing the Biden-Kamala Justice Department to go after Trump,
00:39:45.880his top aides like Steve Bannon, who's sitting in prison right now, Peter Navarro, who went to prison, Trump's lawyers, John Eastman, Jeffrey Clark, Rudy Giuliani.
00:39:54.780He politically persecuted Trump supporters on January 6th, and I don't say that lightly, but the Fisher decision out of the Supreme Court recently just made very clear that Merrick Garland politicized, weaponized, contorted a post-Enron obstruction of justice statute intended to go after corporate fraud,
00:40:14.220to go after Trump and Trump supporters on January 6th.
00:40:18.100We just saw this with Jack Smith's superseding indictment against Trump.
00:40:22.840Merrick Garland had to personally sign off on that.
00:40:26.860And this superseding indictment by Jack Smith, after Jack Smith got smoked at the Supreme Court, he's coming back like he didn't lose the Fisher case.
00:40:35.220The Biden Justice Department didn't lose the Fisher case, and Jack Smith didn't lose the presidential.
00:40:39.800Just more, more election interference.
00:40:43.040Mike Davis, thanks for jumping on last notice. Really appreciate it, man.
00:40:45.060In my ear about the boring people at your office, I'm trying to listen to the new human events with Jack Posobiec.
00:40:56.700All right, Jack Posobiec, we're back here live, Human Events Daily.
00:41:01.900By the way, if anyone has any questions or wants to get more info, or if you have info, by the way, about grand juries or anything related to Thomas Matthew Crooks,
00:41:10.920we're not dropping that story, and we know that you don't want us to.
00:41:14.920So it's 1776 at humanevents.com, 1776 at humanevents.com.
00:41:20.540Joining us now is the executive producer of the new documentary, Culture War, The Deadly Consequences of a Woke War Machine.
00:41:30.720You know him. I know him. He's my friend. His name is Terry Schilling, and he joins us now.
00:41:38.140So usually when we have you on, we're talking about family, or we're talking about, you know, trans and women's sports.
00:41:46.580This is a different type of subject for you, but it is actually related.
00:41:52.020Tell us about the film and everything they need to know about it.
00:41:57.680Well, first and foremost, Jack, this documentary is something that has blown even my mind.
00:42:03.420It started off small. We were filming commercials with, we got in contact with five Gold Star families from the Afghanistan withdrawal.
00:42:13.620And we kept listening to their stories, and they were gut-wrenching and heartbreaking.
00:42:17.840And we kept thinking, like, there's a bigger story here, right?
00:42:21.140Their essential message, when we wanted to get their actual words, right?
00:42:24.200I didn't tell them what to say, but we all know that the military has gone woke, at least at the top, right?
00:42:29.300The guys that are signing up every day, they're strong, they love this country, that they're joining it in spite of the woke, weak leadership that we have.
00:42:37.620But their message was all very similar, which was, you know, if Joe Biden wasn't so focused on this culture war that he's been waging against our servicemen and women,
00:42:48.120we would have had a better withdrawal, a more successful withdrawal from Afghanistan.
00:44:14.480People need to know that Kamala Harris was just as complicit in this disastrous pullout and that we are going to have a lot more of this going forward if we don't change up who's in that Oval Office, our commander in chief.
00:44:28.180Look, we saw President Trump there at Arlington for that memorial.
00:44:33.020And, by the way, I'll just announce, we haven't said this publicly yet, that we will have the Gold Star mother-in-law, Christy Shamblin, who is the mother-in-law of Sergeant Nicole Gee, is going to be here on the show on Friday.
00:45:07.620You notice who else who wasn't there that day?
00:45:09.760All the people who spread the suckers and losers hoax.
00:45:12.820All those people who are the same people that send our boys and girls over to fight in the sandbox, over to fight to get blown up and blown apart and put into these crazy situations that they find themselves in.
00:45:26.520All the people that send them there that advocate for these endless wars all the time.
00:46:03.220They're getting book deals off of this.
00:46:05.020Jack, the whole idea that President Trump, of all people, would call our men and women that paid the ultimate price, that he would call them suckers and losers.
00:46:15.900The people that died in World War II, the greatest generation, that he would call these people suckers and losers is such an unbelievable lie.
00:46:53.500It was like he was sad for what has happened in this country because we let the mainstream legacy media that hates all of us tell the story that he's corrupt and that he thinks our men and women in uniform are suckers and losers.
00:47:07.420He was at all of those ceremonies with the men and women that have served this country and gave the old food to sacrifice.
00:47:13.100And it's just it's incredible that we allow this stuff to go on in our legacy.
00:47:17.340One story, by the way, that that President Trump, even even he doesn't do a great job of telling this.
00:47:22.560And, you know, maybe the campaign can dig up some of the footage.
00:47:25.180But he saved the World War Two parade in New York City back in the 1990s.
00:47:30.840And he got his buddies to donate a bunch of money.
00:47:32.940He became the grand marshal of the whole thing.
00:47:34.740It was just a fantastic story of a way to give back to veterans that that everyone else seemed to forget.
00:47:40.100But, Terry, where can people go to get access to the documentary, to be able to see this for themselves, to hear President Trump in his own words discuss the situation?
00:47:50.540Well, right now we're launching the documentary on September 3rd.
00:47:54.080But right now people can go to culturewardoc.com, D-O-C, culturewardoc.com.
