00:00:39.780 A commentator, international social media sensation, and former Navy intelligence veteran.
00:00:46.500 This is Human Events with your host, Jack Poso.
00:00:50.000 A high-level investigative source tells me that they have now confirmed that an FAA air traffic control supervisor in the tower here at Reagan
00:00:58.720 had allowed a supervisor to leave early, and as a result, there was only one supervisor Wednesday night handling both helicopter traffic and plane traffic.
00:01:08.100 You got three Black Hawk pilots on effectively an annual night qualification run.
00:01:12.880 So there's a corridor there that is utilized near Reagan National Airport that the military uses for exercises.
00:01:19.080 Our investigation will tell us more.
00:01:20.620 We also don't yet have the black box from the Black Hawk.
00:01:24.260 When we do, we'll get a sense of internal communications.
00:01:27.200 Tulsi Gabbard, Trump's pick for intelligence chief, she was questioned about her past support of Edward Snowden.
00:01:32.580 Yes or no, is Edward Snowden a traitor to the United States of America?
00:01:40.280 As someone who has worn our uniform in combat, I understand how critical our national security is.
00:01:48.260 You know, the problem of corruption is not just in the federal agencies, it's in Congress, too.
00:01:54.540 Almost all the members of this panel are accepting, including yourself, are accepting millions of dollars from the pharmaceutical industry.
00:02:01.500 Oh, no, no, no, no, no.
00:02:02.640 And protecting their interests.
00:02:04.200 I encourage you to read the rest of the interviews.
00:02:06.360 This is why snippets of information are often misleading and detrimental to this committee's advice and consent process.
00:02:12.020 Well, if you consent, I would love to have five hours of questions and then I could read the whole transcript.
00:02:16.960 You've got two minutes.
00:02:18.720 Wow.
00:02:19.340 We somehow led people to believe that Ukraine would be able not just to defeat Russia, but, you know, destroy them, push them all the way back to what the world looked like in 2012 or 2014, before the Russians took Crimea and the like.
00:02:32.720 And in the result, what they've been asking for the last year and a half is to fund a stalemate.
00:02:36.820 Meanwhile, Ukraine is being set back 100 years.
00:02:39.800 Their energy grid is being wiped out.
00:02:41.260 Immigration and Customs Enforcement, or ICE, says it arrested more than 1,000 people after detaining another 1,000 on Sunday.
00:02:49.880 The president will be implementing tomorrow a 25 percent tariffs on Mexico, 25 percent tariffs on Canada, and a 10 percent tariff on China.
00:03:00.680 Well, ladies and gentlemen, welcome aboard today's edition of Human Events Daily.
00:03:04.040 Here we are live back in Washington, D.C.
00:03:06.820 Today is January 31st, 2025.
00:03:09.820 Anno Domini.
00:03:11.500 So for those who have been watching, no, I was not here yesterday.
00:03:15.920 I was on assignment with, believe it or not, Secretary of Homeland Security, Kristi Noem.
00:03:23.980 And we're going to be talking a little bit more about that later in the program here.
00:03:28.640 President Trump then giving this, the ultimatum has come down.
00:03:34.420 The ultimatum has come down that, yes, the tariffs are going to be going down on Canada, on where I was yesterday, by the way, briefly.
00:03:43.160 I'll explain that later in a minute, because I walked into Canada and I walked back out.
00:03:48.840 I also threatened to invade Canada with snowballs.
00:03:51.440 Another long story.
00:03:52.700 Tomorrow, the tariffs on China, Canada, and Mexico will go down.
00:04:00.360 Yes, they are going to be going in place.
00:04:02.640 There was a Reuters story at one point that said they may not be going until March.
00:04:05.700 But no, it's actually going to start until tomorrow.
00:04:08.820 This was the deadline.
00:04:10.100 The deadline has not been met.
00:04:11.200 The border is still not open.
00:04:12.460 I can confirm that it's still not closed.
00:04:14.200 I can confirm that certainly from the Canada side.
00:04:16.980 And the issue, of course, the issue is we need to get, we need to get all of this in place.
00:04:26.140 But I want to go to our White House correspondent here for Real America's Voice, Natalie Winters, who's standing just outside.
00:04:35.140 Natalie, how was the press conference?
00:04:37.340 And give us the reaction when Caroline Levitt said that, in fact, yes, the tariffs will be a place tomorrow.
00:04:44.060 Hi, thank you so much for having me.
00:04:47.920 Always an honor to join you, even if it's in a guest capacity.
00:04:51.080 Thank you for letting me co-host yesterday while you were out on assignment.
00:04:55.280 There was a lot of back and forth, some sort of heated exchanges with various members of the press court over the concept of these tariffs rolling out.
00:05:02.320 A lot of people questioning what sort of the duration in terms of the timing of rolling them out would look like,
00:05:08.020 if there would be any lag time, to which Press Secretary Caroline Levitt said no.
00:05:11.900 Indeed, they would be rolling out tomorrow smoothly and without really, I think, any opposition, at least coming from internally within the White House.
00:05:19.800 But a lot of people, I think, trying to get ahead of the president.
00:05:22.860 Obviously, I guess they haven't read the art of the deal trying to understand what potential concessions could be made to lower or potentially drop these tariffs sort of preemptively or proactively.
00:05:32.720 Obviously, obviously, Press Secretary did not give in or answer any of those questions.
00:05:37.880 There are some other really, I think, newsworthy moments from this presser, whether it was the first question coming from that new media seat.
00:05:44.400 But more importantly, Jack, like we've been talking about, you know, as representing War Room or Real America's voice here in the press briefing room, part of it is obviously what's being said from the podium.
00:05:53.420 But I think what's almost more interesting is the reaction from so many members of the mainstream media.
00:05:58.720 And like I said, that first question that came from the Ruthless podcast, he kind of called out the mainstream media.
00:06:04.180 And let's just say we can get into it after the break.
00:06:06.140 But the eye rolls, the looks, the stares, the scoffs, they did not like being called out by the new media with the first question.
00:06:13.620 Let's come right back to that, Natalie.
00:06:15.260 We're going to hold you over here very quickly.
00:06:17.060 Natalie Winters at the White House, Real America's voice, Human Events Daily.
00:06:20.300 These are influencers and they're friends of mine, Jack Posobiec.
00:06:32.500 Where's Jack?
00:06:34.360 He's done a great job.
00:06:38.200 All right, Jack Posobiec, we're going back now to Natalie Winters.
00:06:41.840 They're live at the White House.
00:06:43.840 So, Natalie, you were just in the briefing.
00:06:46.340 President Trump through Caroline Levitt announcing that the tariffs will be placed tomorrow.
00:06:52.780 Take us back for a second because the media clearly caught unawares on that one.
00:06:57.340 They don't actually understand the gravity of the importance.
00:07:00.800 Fentanyl, open borders, and the Chinese Communist Party are all going to be hit here.
00:07:07.040 But, Natalie, for our audience, Real America's voice, for the war room audience,
00:07:10.900 they understand what it's about, don't they?
00:07:12.860 Of course, yeah, the framing of the questions was really more about how President Trump is
00:07:19.420 he being, you know, erratic when it comes to the rollout of these tariffs, if he actually
00:07:23.100 means what he says.
00:07:24.460 It was more trying to have, I think, gotcha moments against this administration, against
00:07:28.200 this White House.
00:07:28.920 To the point, someone even asked a question about whether or not President Trump's use
00:07:34.200 of curse words, explicit words, I guess, apparently a phrase from the legacy of his predecessors.
00:07:42.600 They were very dismayed by that.
00:07:44.740 So they asked that if that was just a momentary lapse of judgment, if President Trump just uses
00:07:48.760 bad words because he has no self-control.
00:07:51.600 That's the level of questions that we're dealing with.
00:07:54.980 But to your point about the fentanyl, the human trafficking, I think what this audience,
00:07:59.220 your audience understands so much better than, frankly, the viewership of most of the networks
00:08:03.840 in there, let alone the journalists.
00:08:06.540 Jordan Conradson, I believe, from the Gateway Pundit asked, citing Ben Burkwam's reporting
00:08:11.740 on how state and local officials are defying ICE requests not being led into prisons in Chicago
00:08:17.100 to be able to get, whether it's restraining orders or actually just meet face-to-face with
00:08:21.200 these criminal illegal aliens that need to be deported, that, you know, what the administration's
00:08:26.220 response to that was, and like I said, in the same way that they rolled their eyes to
00:08:31.180 the new media asking questions about the lying, deceitful press, the mainstream media was
00:08:35.480 rolling their eyes and scoffing.
00:08:37.980 There were ridiculous hand gestures being made.
00:08:40.540 So it really is, I mean, frankly, fun to watch them melt down.
00:08:43.800 But it just shows you the mindset in that room.
00:08:46.580 It's not about getting the information out to the American people.
00:08:49.080 It's just trying to get gotcha moments against President Trump.
00:08:52.800 Absolutely right.
00:08:53.560 Natalie Winters there at the White House, great job covering this week, and I'd like
00:08:57.580 to congratulate you, of course, on the appropriateness of your outfits.
00:09:04.120 The New York Post just put out a new story on this, so I don't think they're backing down,
00:09:08.460 but hey, if that's what you have to do to smear me and our audience, then have at it.
00:09:12.380 You threw my boss in prison, we can take it.
00:09:14.960 The stunning controversy of Natalie Winters and her outfits at the White House.
00:09:19.180 Who knew?
00:09:19.680 Thanks so much, Natalie.
00:09:22.220 Thank you.
00:09:22.740 All right, so we just got that there.
00:09:26.680 Huge, massive breaking news.
00:09:28.680 New sheriff in town.
00:09:30.160 But at the same time yesterday, we had this incredible plane crash at Reagan National Airport,
00:09:35.980 DCA.
00:09:36.900 Nick Sartor was there on the scene.
00:09:39.360 He joins us now.
00:09:40.700 Nick, what are we getting out of this crash, the plane, the helicopter?
00:09:46.020 What are they not telling us?
00:09:47.660 What do you think is going on?
00:09:48.840 You know, honestly, Jack, I've covered a lot of disasters.
00:09:53.060 This one is very much different.
00:09:55.180 I mean, I was about a mile away when it happened from Reagan National.
00:09:59.080 I was able to get there on the ground very, very quickly.
00:10:00.820 And this is different in many ways from those other disasters that I've covered, like East
00:10:05.900 Palestine, Maui, Western North Carolina, in that we have actually been able to get answers
00:10:12.340 from the administration.
00:10:13.480 You've had Trump himself going out there in front of cameras, going in front of reporters,
00:10:18.720 taking unfiltered, unvetted questions about what's going on.
00:10:22.620 He's posting about it himself.
00:10:25.340 And so that's something that we never saw at all from the Biden regime.
00:10:29.220 Hell, it took until just now to be told that the FAA knew what the drones were in New Jersey.
00:10:35.080 We had to wait until the Trump administration came in to give that little tidbit of information
00:10:38.120 as well.
00:10:38.980 But, you know, what I will say, based on what we know, Jack, you know, people are acting
00:10:42.920 like, oh, this is, they're up in arms over the fact that President Trump came out and suggested
00:10:49.100 that this could very well be due to DEI policies in the Obama and Biden administrations.
00:10:56.700 And all signs point to that being true.
00:10:59.420 You know, what we know, here are the facts.
00:11:00.940 FAA staffing shortage has been for years.
00:11:03.740 We also know for a fact that the Obama administration, started under the Obama administration,
00:11:09.560 stopped hiring white males, well-qualified white males for the FAA, so that they could
00:11:15.300 hit those diversity quotas.
00:11:17.160 They cared more about that freaking quota than protecting the lives of Americans.
00:11:21.720 I mean, it's a very high-stress job, Jack.
00:11:24.340 I mean, you are dealing with hundreds of peoples of lives every single minute.
00:11:28.740 And also another fact, we know that the air traffic controller in charge that night was
00:11:34.940 doing the job of two different air traffic controllers due to these staffing shortages.
00:11:39.980 He was controlling both helicopters and air traffic, which are two different frequencies.
00:11:46.160 So he's listening to at least two different frequencies at the same time.
00:11:49.320 And if you listen back, if you play back those audio recordings now, you can hear he tried
00:11:56.100 to tell the helicopter to go in a different direction or at least pay more attention to
00:12:01.860 what was in front of him after the impact had already happened.
00:12:05.660 So if we didn't have those staffing shortages, if we weren't worried about what the color of
00:12:10.280 the air traffic controller was, I doubt this would have happened.
00:12:14.000 I seriously doubt this would have happened.
00:12:15.900 Uh, and, you know, so I would say there's probably an 85% chance that you're going to
00:12:23.200 be able to attribute at least most of this to those DEI hiring practices.
00:12:30.100 Well, and, and there's this other question as well as to the third pilot or co-pilot in
00:12:36.820 the helicopter who was on that crew.
00:12:38.720 We've got the names of two.
00:12:40.280 One was the crew chief and one was the flight instructor, but why have they not released the
00:12:44.620 third name at this time?
00:12:46.300 Uh, I think Fox news had some reporting that it was a female.
00:12:50.040 There was some reporting that it was one person, but it ended up not being that person.
00:12:53.600 So I, or I think that was more of a rumor actually.
00:12:56.180 So what's going on there?
00:12:58.140 We should be able to confirm.
00:12:59.720 Obviously the army knew who was on the flight.
00:13:01.780 Uh, there seems to be some reason that name isn't being put out and I can't quite understand
00:13:05.740 what it is.
00:13:06.240 Perhaps, uh, perhaps they need to get in touch with family or something like that, or perhaps
00:13:10.500 it's something else.
00:13:11.120 Yeah.
00:13:14.060 Uh, so the, the reason that had been given so far was that they had to get in touch with
00:13:19.900 the next of kin, but that was early yesterday.
00:13:23.140 As far as I'm aware, the only one that's been identified publicly is the one that was pulled
00:13:29.160 out of the, uh, the water.
00:13:31.980 Apparently two of them are still in that black Hawk, uh, which is just a mangled mess still
00:13:37.080 sitting out there in the, uh, in, in the river.
00:13:39.360 Um, but yeah, I, I don't like the delay in the release of that information because it
00:13:45.140 seems like, uh, there's been a lot floating around this morning, especially about it possibly
00:13:50.600 being a transgender, uh, person that was the pilot in command.
00:13:55.440 Uh, I, I, I don't have any reason to believe that that's true.
00:13:58.240 Uh, but the delay, I think that was, I think that was actually debunked.
00:14:03.140 Yeah.
00:14:03.640 Yeah.
00:14:03.860 Well, they, the person they were accusing of being the trainee ended up coming out and
00:14:07.300 saying, oh, well, I'm still alive.
00:14:08.780 So, uh, so that, yes, that was definitely actually one of the other issues, Nick.
00:14:13.760 So, um, I, I had the opportunity, I'm going to talk about this in a minute, but I had the
00:14:18.100 opportunity to visit the site with, uh, secretary Noem yesterday.
00:14:21.500 And we actually flew over the wreckage as we were leaving DCA and you could look down and
00:14:28.720 they were, um, some of the briefers were explaining that the helicopter is actually upside down in
00:14:34.100 the river.
00:14:34.680 And that's one of the issues that they're having to be able to get at it and, uh, and
00:14:38.940 to access that cockpit.
00:14:41.100 Yeah, that's true.
00:14:42.220 So the, uh, the Blackhawk is upside down and the plane is also upside down as well.
00:14:47.400 I don't know if you saw the video this morning, Jack, uh, but when they collided,
00:14:50.960 they basically, they both inverted and, uh, and fell directly into the water there.
00:14:56.620 And I mean, you've still got a lot of bodies in that plane as well.
00:14:59.600 And, uh, initial reports were that some of those bodies that actually come out of the
00:15:04.360 plane, uh, don't have any confirmation of that yet.
00:15:07.080 They haven't released a lot of those gruesome details.
00:15:09.240 Eventually we'll, uh, end up finding out.
00:15:12.500 Uh, but you know, it seems like Jack, you know, you spent a lot of time in DC.
00:15:17.520 I've spent a lot of time in DC and you see these hellos.
00:15:20.960 Helicopters constantly all the time.
00:15:23.480 I mean, it is mayhem in that airspace out there.
00:15:25.840 I just watched the other day, the day that Pete Buttigieg, or Pete Buttigieg, thank God
00:15:30.160 he's gone.
00:15:30.780 Pete Hegseth was put in, uh, and his first day at the Pentagon over here on Monday, they
00:15:36.300 were flying Blackhawks very low around the Pentagon.
00:15:39.520 I tried to get over there and get a video.
00:15:40.880 I didn't get there in time though.
00:15:41.840 And you have a Northern approach right there on the river.
00:15:45.500 The Pentagon pretty much butts up to the Potomac river and you have the, there's a landing
00:15:50.040 zone there.
00:15:50.680 That's, that's where the, the commercial air traffic comes in and lands.
00:15:54.300 And I'm sitting there thinking like, Oh my God.
00:15:56.060 I mean, that's like danger close.
00:15:57.660 They're going to these airplanes.
00:15:58.620 And then we find out last night that just 24 hours before this plane crash happened,
00:16:05.720 uh, in DC at the exact same airport, another American airlines flight had to abort its landing
00:16:12.220 and go around and try again a second time because a helicopter, uh, got in front of its
00:16:17.340 flight path.
00:16:18.160 So apparently this is not a rare recurrence yet.
00:16:21.480 Nothing was done about it.
00:16:25.300 Something is clearly, clearly wrong.
00:16:27.820 And that video that came out this morning, I think really shows people we've looked at,
00:16:31.600 we had seen the trajectories, but I mean, you, you look at it and it almost looks like the
00:16:36.100 helicopter is flying directly into the path of, I mean, it does fly directly in and, uh,
00:16:43.520 it, it, it almost looks like it's, that's what they were intending to do.
00:16:49.060 Obviously that's not what they were intending to do, but it's, it's so strange.
00:16:53.540 And, uh, I will say this, you know, having, um, having driven with night vision on, I certainly
00:16:58.000 haven't flown a helicopter ever in my life and not with a night vision, but I've driven
00:17:02.080 with night vision on it.
00:17:03.020 It's, it's a very different environment.
00:17:05.140 Uh, the way the technology works, it's, it's, you know, it's not like the movies.
00:17:08.780 It's very hard to see through those things.
00:17:10.880 And I, and if that truly was the training that was going on, then I just don't know why you
00:17:15.940 would conduct that training in a place where you've got lights everywhere and the, uh,
00:17:21.140 the, um, the airport and all the rest of it.
00:17:24.160 I understand that's why you train, but at the same time, obviously very potentially dangerous.
00:17:29.260 And I do understand dangerous.
00:17:30.540 And I do understand they've restricted helicopters from that airspace for now.
00:17:33.740 Nick sorts are where people can get, where can people go to follow you for all of your
00:17:36.860 updates, which man, you get those tweets up faster than anybody, even me.
00:17:39.800 I appreciate you, Jack.
00:17:43.100 You find me on X.
00:17:43.920 It's the only place that won't ban me.
00:17:45.280 It's X, uh, at N I C K S O R T O R.
00:17:49.920 Nick Sorter.
00:17:51.340 All right.
00:17:51.900 Make sure you're, you're following him.
00:17:53.440 Nick Sorter went to, and you know, after you follow Nick, then you can follow me, but
00:17:57.640 you know, Nick, I, I'm going to tell you something.
00:17:59.220 The guy's got like a 24 seven operation there.
00:18:01.200 It's an incredible thing to see.
00:18:02.300 We'll be right back.
00:18:09.800 Long hours.
00:18:16.060 I'm always listening to human events with Jack.
00:18:17.940 So big.
00:18:19.980 All right, Jack, we're so big back live here.
00:18:22.120 Human events daily, Washington, DC.
00:18:24.440 I got a question for you.
00:18:25.420 Are the globalists gearing up for a pandemic scare after failing at the ballot box in November?
00:18:31.220 Well, just days before president Trump's inauguration, governor Gavin Newsom has declared a bird flu state
00:18:37.580 of emergency granting himself sweeping powers reminiscent of COVID-19 policies.
00:18:42.900 And this comes after a severe case of H5N1 bird flu was reported in Louisiana.
00:18:47.700 Critics warned that pandemic fears may be weaponized to challenge Trump's mandate,
00:18:51.940 including the nomination of RFK Jr. to lead HHS.
00:18:55.740 Is it a health crisis or a power play?
00:18:58.160 Last summer, Dr. Peter McCullough warned about the bird flu, linking the virus's rapid gain spread
00:19:02.980 to gain-of-function research, now a common practice at many labs globally.
00:19:06.960 Well, Dr. Peter McCullough urges early prevention just in case, recommending a contagion emergency kit
00:19:14.020 from the wellness company, his medical board approved solution with five critical life-saving medications
00:19:19.400 and ivermectin, Tamiflu, nebulizer, and hydroxychloroquine that every household can now have access
00:19:25.260 to these hard-to-get medications in the event of another pandemic.
00:19:29.540 Get yours by filling out a digital intake form and your kit arrives in one to two weeks.
00:19:33.560 Don't wait until the deep state puts their plans into action.
00:19:37.160 Stay ready for the unexpected.
00:19:39.080 Head over to twc.health.poso and use promo code POSO to save $32 off plus free shipping.
00:19:46.660 Remember, that's for U.S. residents only.
00:19:49.620 So, speaking of U.S. residents versus residents of Canada, I had the incredible opportunity.
00:19:56.460 Thank you so much to the Office of Secretary of Homeland Security, Kristi Noem, for inviting
00:20:02.960 Human Events to embed with her team yesterday while there at Reagan DCA National Airport,
00:20:10.320 as well as for a trip up to the northern border.
00:20:14.420 And so, the actual station we visited is the one who lost a Border Patrol officer on President
00:20:21.880 Trump's Inauguration Day on January 20th, who was killed by a transgender H-1B temporary
00:20:30.880 worker here in the United States.
00:20:33.360 And just a horrific situation, and actually the flak jacket, the jacket that she's wearing
00:20:40.880 there, the winter jacket, was gifted to her by that border station.
00:20:46.280 You can see the badge that it has over with the black ribbon was in commemoration of their
00:20:50.860 fallen agent.
00:20:52.020 And so, following all of this, as well as a briefing on northern border operations, I was
00:20:57.820 able to conduct an interview on the tarmac with Secretary Noem.
00:21:01.840 I'm going to play for it right now.
00:21:03.700 Secretary Noem, we're here at Reagan National Airport, DCA.
00:21:07.720 Terrible incident last night.
00:21:09.200 Tell us what happened in the morning when you visited.
00:21:11.460 Yeah, you know, our Coast Guard assets were on the scene immediately and were there all
00:21:14.840 night long.
00:21:15.380 I mean, put them this morning out on the water.
00:21:18.960 They're observing the work that they were doing.
00:21:21.280 We're just so grieved by this tragic accident that happened.
00:21:24.820 And as they continue to do recovery efforts and they work to bring a family for closure
00:21:30.280 and to get some of the debris out of the river, just know that our thoughts and prayers are
00:21:36.080 with everybody.
00:21:36.780 And you got to meet with the family and loved ones of the border agent who was killed in
00:21:41.760 my duty on our race day.
00:21:43.440 I did.
00:21:44.080 Today was a day of really spending time grieving families.
00:21:48.760 The day the president was sworn into office, we brought the border to the police.
00:21:52.660 Today, I had the chance to meet with his brother and his sister-in-law and his fiancee and talk
00:21:58.400 to them about what his life was about, about securing the country.
00:22:03.540 I talked to some of the men and women up there.
00:22:05.180 It's amazing how relieved they are.
00:22:07.140 They finally get to do their jobs.
00:22:08.500 They finally get to secure the border.
00:22:11.960 They get to work to make sure that they're fulfilling what the president starts committing
00:22:15.620 to the American people.
00:22:16.840 And it's amazing.
00:22:17.880 They asked what they needed.
00:22:19.440 They asked, can we play that snow tire exam?
00:22:21.820 Can we have basic equipment to do our job as well?
00:22:25.000 They don't have snow tires in Vermont in the winter.
00:22:28.840 In the winter.
00:22:29.280 They haven't been allowed to have that under the previous administration.
00:22:32.800 I committed to them.
00:22:34.120 We're going to get it for you.
00:22:35.620 Thanks very much.
00:22:36.900 Thank you.
00:22:38.720 And so there you go.
00:22:40.320 Just a complete lack of resources up there at the northern border, even though that sector,
00:22:45.480 Swanton sector, where we visited right on the border with Canada, was so detrimental
00:22:52.720 to their operations.
00:22:54.860 They had 19,000 arrests.
00:22:58.000 Just last year alone, this is a massive explosion from years past.
00:23:02.860 And again, that was just in their sector.
00:23:05.640 So you're seeing the people come across.
00:23:07.160 You're seeing drugs come across.
00:23:08.860 You're seeing guns come across, firearms.
00:23:11.860 And they don't have, by the way, these are foreign nationals, even from Mexico, that are
00:23:15.760 flying up to Canada and then just walking across.
00:23:18.140 And just to show you how porous the border is in the north, I did a little video there
00:23:25.880 at a library.
00:23:27.700 We're going to show that for you now.
00:23:29.780 So this library behind me right here actually straddles the border between the United States
00:23:35.420 and Canada.
00:23:36.460 This behind me is Canada.
00:23:38.320 Here you can see a sign.
00:23:39.580 It says, do not enter.
00:23:42.100 That is the border for the entire northern part of Vermont here between the United States
00:23:52.020 and Canada.
00:23:52.900 I could invade Canada with snowballs right now.
00:23:55.800 Perhaps I will.
00:23:56.580 Trudeau, look out.
00:23:58.540 Perhaps I will.
00:23:59.840 Trudeau, look out.
00:24:01.420 And so that library, interestingly enough, in northern Vermont, it was in place.
00:24:07.340 Many of these towns were in place before the border was settled between the U.S. and Canada.
00:24:13.220 And this was something that took place over many years.
00:24:16.400 It took place with the International Boundary Commission, the IBC.
00:24:21.400 And so the building itself, I'm sorry, as a guy who used to be in the U.S. military, as
00:24:27.760 a guy who was in Intel, that, I mean, this is, it's ridiculous.
00:24:31.380 The whole situation is completely ridiculous.
00:24:33.460 And, of course, it is exploited by bad actors.
00:24:37.400 Obviously, you can just walk across the border.
00:24:40.020 Also, that line is inside the library.
00:24:42.960 And I did a video of myself walking into Canada, out of Canada, into Canada, out of Canada.
00:24:49.220 Yes, I visited the 51st state just yesterday.
00:24:53.480 And one of the issues that they have in this library, of course, is that people have been
00:24:58.900 going in there, and Border Patrol is explaining this to us, is that people go in there.
00:25:03.460 They could be from Iran.
00:25:05.100 They could be from Afghanistan.
00:25:06.700 They could be from Syria.
00:25:07.740 They could be from China, from all different parts of the world, fly to Canada with the
00:25:12.920 proper credentials.
00:25:14.420 And then what they're doing is they're using that library as a meeting place.
00:25:18.500 So they go into the library.
00:25:20.240 They can meet someone.
00:25:21.380 They can hand over contraband.
00:25:22.940 They can hand over materials.
00:25:25.840 They can hand over things that they're not supposed to.
00:25:28.280 And then the person comes out and is able to walk directly into the United States without
00:25:34.200 any actual border being crossed.
00:25:36.920 And so if the Border Patrol doesn't have someone there, if library staff doesn't pay attention,
00:25:42.140 obviously, they're able to go in.
00:25:44.380 And so those are great, by the way, people say, oh, are librarians, you know, are they liberal
00:25:48.540 or something?
00:25:49.260 Actually, no, it wasn't like that at all.
00:25:50.760 In fact, the librarians were extremely proactive about working with Border Patrol.
00:25:58.880 We're perfectly happy to have them there to help out because they said, look, we want
00:26:03.280 to be a library.
00:26:04.540 We're not interested in crime.
00:26:06.300 We don't want criminals here, whether it be transnational or whatever it is.
00:26:10.520 We don't want anything like that.
00:26:12.240 And so they were very, very open to having not only the secretary there, but also working
00:26:17.480 with Border Patrol.
00:26:18.160 And it was very clear from just watching them interact that they, you know, they knew the
00:26:22.560 agents very well, were very familiar with them.
00:26:25.260 And again, they want to be able, in fact, one of the librarians had a law enforcement background.
00:26:31.080 And so the idea is they don't want the crime, but the problem is, is that bad actors are exploiting
00:26:38.020 this.
00:26:38.620 So here are some videos of the briefing that we received as well up there at Northern Border
00:26:43.500 Station in Swanton.
00:26:44.460 And one of the things that I think people need to realize as well when it comes to the
00:26:51.040 Northern Border is, you know, I can remember this.
00:26:53.900 I have memories pre-9-11 of being a kid and being able to, so, you know, we're from Pennsylvania,
00:26:59.800 so it's very easy.
00:27:01.680 You know, you just hop on the road, you just drive through New York State, and then boom,
00:27:05.320 you're in Canada.
00:27:06.100 And, you know, pre-9-11, you used to be able to do this with a driver's license.
00:27:13.240 But globalization changed everything because now, thanks to globalization, there are people
00:27:19.500 in Canada from all over the world, people who are, in many cases, unvetted.
00:27:25.460 You have the same problem in the United States.
00:27:27.660 So when it was just New Englanders and Canadians going back and forth, again, in that pre-9-11
00:27:34.700 world that we had, you didn't have these types of issues that you have now.
00:27:41.900 But unfortunately, and by the way, we're talking up there some of the worst of the worst.
00:27:46.460 We're talking killers.
00:27:47.680 We're talking terrorists.
00:27:49.080 We're talking traffickers.
00:27:50.400 And by the way, I mean drugs, I mean firearms, and potentially even worse, coming across that
00:27:57.360 northern border.
00:27:58.080 Yes, even child trafficking, because they told us again and again, they told us in just
00:28:03.820 the last fiscal year, so FY24, that they were able to recover 149 unaccompanied children
00:28:12.020 just in their sector coming across the northern border.
00:28:15.340 That's 149 kids who came over.
00:28:18.160 And when they say unaccompanied, by the way, that, of course, doesn't mean that they were
00:28:22.600 wandering alone in the forest.
00:28:24.300 That means that they were coming across with a group that didn't include direct family
00:28:29.800 members.
00:28:30.220 So no mom, no dad, no older brother, no uncle, anything like that.
00:28:34.960 That's 149 kids just in this sector alone.
00:28:38.560 So you think about how bad it is on our borders.
00:28:40.960 You think about how bad it is on the northern border, because so much focus goes to the southern
00:28:45.640 border.
00:28:45.960 What was Biden doing?
00:28:48.620 That's what was running through my head the entire time.
00:28:51.000 And Alejandro Mayorkas and all the rest.
00:28:54.680 Are we really supposed to think that this was being done to our country by accident?
00:28:59.440 That these were just unintended consequences?
00:29:02.320 No, I disagree with that.
00:29:03.760 And I fundamentally reject it.
00:29:05.220 These were not unintended consequences.
00:29:07.940 These were the intended consequences, the unintended consequences of destabilizing our nation through
00:29:16.440 mass migration, through open borders, through child trafficking, through fentanyl, through
00:29:21.800 all the rest of it.
00:29:22.540 That's why when President Trump comes in with these tariffs, it must include Canada and it
00:29:27.920 should include Canada.
00:29:29.320 And starting tomorrow, it will include Canada as well as Mexico and as well as China.
00:29:35.440 That's backstopping it in terms of fentanyl.
00:29:37.600 It's sick, it's disgusting, it's perverted, and it needs to stop.
00:29:43.060 All of these things that are being done, look, we can all sit there and pine for the world
00:29:47.680 that we had before.
00:29:48.600 But if you want that world back, then you have to fight and you have to meet the world
00:29:54.240 where it is to understand how to get where we need to go.
00:29:58.340 Look, I would love to go back to that world where when I was a kid, we could drive to Canada
00:30:02.380 and all my parents had to do was show their driver's licenses.
00:30:04.860 But you know what?
00:30:06.000 That type of a high trust world is only achievable if you fight for it.
00:30:11.960 I'll be right back.
00:30:12.640 Jack Possovic, Human Events, Washington, D.C.
00:30:25.040 Where is Jack?
00:30:27.580 Where's Jack?
00:30:29.700 Where is he?
00:30:30.980 Jack, I want to see you.
00:30:32.420 Great job, Jack.
00:30:36.060 Thank you.
00:30:36.860 What a job you do.
00:30:38.260 You know, we have an incredible thing.
00:30:39.660 We're always talking about the fake news and the bad, but we have guys, and these are the
00:30:44.120 guys who should be getting Pulisic.
00:30:47.500 All right, Jack Possovic, we are back live here.

00:31:51.980 It fires you up.
00:31:53.620 That's blackoutcoffee.com slash POSO.
00:31:55.740 Let's go.
00:31:57.920 All right, folks.
00:31:58.440 So J.D. Vance is in this huge controversy because I tweeted this clip out of him in his
00:32:05.160 recent interview with Sean Hannity where he was describing a Christian concept, the Christian
00:32:12.340 concept of an ordered love, an ordered love, or what Aquinas later called an ordered charity.
00:32:20.960 Let's go play the clip now, and then I'll explain what's going on here.
00:32:24.720 But there's this old school, and I think it's a very Christian concept, by the way, that
00:32:28.860 you love your family, and then you love your neighbor, and then you love your community,
00:32:33.320 and then you love your fellow citizens in your own country, and then after that, you can
00:32:38.920 focus and prioritize the rest of the world.
00:32:41.360 A lot of the far left has completely inverted that.
00:32:44.180 They seem to hate the citizens of their own country and care more about people outside
00:32:48.400 their own borders.
00:32:49.080 That is no way to run a society.
00:32:53.060 That is not a way to run a society.
00:32:56.500 So what is J.D. Vance?
00:32:58.020 Getting a little theological there.
00:32:59.820 Getting a little theological there.
00:33:01.220 And so this has become our question of the day, and I put this out on Twitter earlier,
00:33:07.200 1776 at humanevents.com, 1776 at humanevents.com.
00:33:12.220 Because J.D. had some people responding to him.
00:33:15.820 They were saying, this is upsetting.
00:33:18.320 This is not Christian, what you're talking about.
00:33:20.200 How dare you?
00:33:21.320 How dare you say these things, J.D. Vance?
00:33:23.440 This is not Christian at all.
00:33:25.180 Jesus said, love everybody.
00:33:26.900 Just love everybody.
00:33:28.540 You should just love.
00:33:29.660 And, you know, Christianity is all about love.
00:33:33.660 And that's it.
00:33:34.520 There's nothing else.
00:33:35.360 Just love, love, love, love, love.
00:33:37.220 You know, it's like a Lady Gaga song.
00:33:38.640 And the response, of course, the response from J.D. Vance was, look up, ordo, ordo amortis.
00:33:51.520 Ordo amortis.
00:33:52.540 So what does that mean?
00:33:53.520 The order of love.
00:33:55.440 The order of love.
00:33:58.280 So this goes back to St. Augustine.
00:33:59.960 It goes back to Thomas Aquinas.
00:34:02.180 And it also goes back, by the way, to St. Paul himself.
00:34:07.120 Yes, St. Paul, right here, 1 Timothy, chapter 5, verse, where are we at, where are we at, where are we at?
00:34:19.220 Verse 8.
00:34:21.000 If anyone does not provide for his own, especially his own household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
00:34:30.020 But if any man have not care of his own, and especially of those of his house, he hath denied the faith and is worse than an infidel.
00:34:41.120 So what does this mean?
00:34:42.740 Well, think of the Ten Commandments, for example.
00:34:46.820 And, yes, Protestants and Catholics have a slightly different variation on the order of that.
00:34:51.840 But there is an order there.
00:34:53.120 It starts with God, and it flows from there.
00:34:56.680 Then it goes to the family.
00:34:58.620 Then it goes to mother and father.
00:35:00.420 And then it goes to others.
00:35:01.820 And then, finally, it goes to society.
00:35:04.240 And so the idea being, then, that this is the order.
00:35:08.840 Now, for purposes of understanding, people say, well, hold on a second.
00:35:12.900 Now, when he says nation, you know, what does that mean?
00:35:15.540 Are you talking about race?
00:35:17.360 Are you talking about country?
00:35:19.080 Are you talking about this?
00:35:20.160 Well, and obviously, it's complicated.
00:35:23.080 But the point is, this helps us actually cut through the disorder of so many people, of so many things out there where, for example, so jump back and juxtapose this with what happened just about one week ago, right?
00:35:38.320 Just 10 days ago, where the last time I was with J.D. Vance and President Trump, as well as the First Lady and the Second Lady and most members of the senior staff of the White House, we were at the White House prayer service over there at the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C.
00:35:56.980 And that's when we had the Bishop S., yes, you remember the Bishop S., and she was up there saying, oh, no, no, no, no, don't deport anyone, don't deport the illegals, you know, you have to let them stay, you have to do all of this.
00:36:12.880 And this is where the teaching comes in.
00:36:18.200 Aquinas called it Ordo Caritatis, the Order of Charities.
00:36:22.460 And so what it's actually talking about is, sure, you are called to love your neighbor and even called to love your enemy.
00:36:29.400 But at the same time, the expression of that in our lives comes through our duties and our responsibilities.
00:36:37.460 Now, and that's something, by the way, that with these woke churches, you're not going to hear anyone talk about duty or responsibility.
00:36:43.780 They barely even talk about sin.
00:36:45.660 So duty and responsibility flow differently.
00:36:48.600 I actually talked about this in my MFAS speech.
00:36:52.000 God, family, country.
00:36:54.440 Simple as that.
00:36:55.440 God, family, country is another way of saying this.
00:36:59.240 So you have your duty to God, and then God calls you to make your family.
00:37:05.340 And so you make your family to do your duty to God, and then you also must make a country that is worthy of your family.
00:37:12.340 So you must be worthy of God.
00:37:15.020 You must make a family that is worthy of God.
00:37:18.000 And then you must make a country that is worthy of your family and also worthy of God.
00:37:24.780 That's why I explained at MFAS.
00:37:26.320 I didn't expect it to turn into this massive thing.
00:37:29.700 This is also expressed in the heat map meme, which is something, if you go to knowyourmeme.com, that apparently I helped popularize.
00:37:37.760 I didn't come up with this thing.
00:37:38.780 But it's this idea that conservatives view the world in concentric circles of those that are closest to us being those that we care about more and focus on more versus those further away and higher concepts like the universe and rocks and plants and trees.
00:37:57.680 Whereas with liberals, it's inverted.
00:37:59.880 And that's basically what J.D. is saying.
00:38:02.980 And so we just got a message in here from Pauline.
00:38:06.400 Pauline is saying that J.D. Vance is spot on regarding ordered love.
00:38:11.040 I grew up Anabaptist, Mennonite, wow, which placed loving your enemy as the highest good with an emphasis on non-resistance in all circumstances.
00:38:19.760 And I remember that even as a child finding it highly immoral that a man who, when presented with the opportunity, would choose to believe that disregarding the safety and protection of his own family would be the morally superior position in an effort to love his enemy.
00:38:35.660 I honestly didn't even believe that it was possible in terms of non-resistance and safety and the family.
00:38:42.360 Likewise, if, wow, this is tough, but it's a moral question and that's why it's tough.
00:38:46.840 If two kids are drowning and one of them is my child, my basic foundational instinctive response will be to save my own child.
00:38:54.540 That does not mean that I did not love my neighbor or care about the other child.
00:38:58.680 This is the email I'm reading.
00:38:59.440 It simply means that I instinctively did that which I have been hardwired by God to do.
00:39:06.160 It is a basic human God-given instinct to love in an ordered way and that works its way out from God to family and to the uttermost parts of the world.
00:39:17.820 Thank you, Pauline.
00:39:18.520 That was an incredible email.
00:39:19.660 Thank you so much from that.
00:39:21.040 Here's one from Caroline.
00:39:22.800 Perfect example of common sense playing a big part in the way we live our lives.
00:39:26.800 Here's one from Vesha Pisces and she wrote,
00:39:33.900 Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day.
00:39:36.240 Teach a man to fish and feed him for a lifetime.
00:39:38.860 Teach a man to give his fish away to other men far away because they never learned how to fish.
00:39:44.460 And that's not like fair and stuff is suicide for all parties.
00:39:48.740 Spot on.
00:39:50.100 Spot on.
00:39:50.900 And here's one from Sandra Lena.
00:39:54.240 It says, God, myself, my spouse, my family, my children and parents and extended family, my friends and coworkers, my immediate neighborhood, my country, my state, my nation, my nation's allies.
00:40:04.160 Great emails hit in on this.
00:40:06.680 Great emails.
00:40:07.640 Love the discussion.
00:40:09.200 Keep them coming.
00:40:10.340 1776 at humanevents.com.
00:40:12.240 I think that what J.D. Vance has done here is really break through and expose the disorder that has been taught for so many years by false prophets.
00:40:26.080 We'll be right back with a very special segment here at Human Events Daily.

00:42:11.120 Now, when my brother and I were at the March for Life, we had a photo that went incredibly viral from that event when we had the absolute joy of meeting Joan Andrews Bell right there on the steps of the Supreme Court.
00:42:29.080 A pro-life activist, an icon and a hero who was pardoned by President Trump and was there at the march.
00:42:37.760 And now she joins us today.
00:42:39.800 We've got Joan and her husband, Chris, here on Human Events Daily.
00:42:44.100 Thanks so much for coming on, guys.
00:42:46.860 We're honored.
00:42:47.700 We're very honored to be here.
00:42:49.060 Well, tell me, what was it like when you found out that President Trump was going to be signing your pardon?
00:42:59.720 Such incredible joy because I think he's a great, great human being and a God-centered person.
00:43:09.440 I think God is going to do great, even greater things with him.
00:43:13.700 And then to be pardoned by him, it was so special.
00:43:18.200 And then being pardoned on the baby to be at the march, getting out.
00:43:23.640 He was pardoned the day before, the 23rd.
00:43:26.700 But to get released on the day of the march was even more special.
00:43:32.500 So it made my day.
00:43:35.940 It made my years.
00:43:38.100 It made a lot.
00:43:39.160 It made many years.
00:43:40.020 And now, so what was, and just for the audience, this sentence was not something that was a light sentence at all.
00:43:49.800 This was not, you know, a couple of days or a couple of weeks.
00:43:52.840 How long was the sentence that you were supposed to be in for?
00:43:55.700 27 months.
00:44:00.220 And then there was three years unsupervised probation.
00:44:05.000 And then community service.
00:44:09.080 But I think my judge knew I would not do probation.
00:44:13.720 She didn't know.
00:44:14.500 That's why she gave me unsupervised, I think.
00:44:17.020 I can't make any reason why she gave me unsupervised.
00:44:19.560 But I've never done probation, never will do probation, because it's cooperating with an evil sentence.
00:44:27.720 Sentencing someone to jail or restricting someone and trying to hamper somebody, discourage somebody, tempting someone not to do what they, in their heart, know they should do for their babies.
00:44:39.660 That's what probation is.
00:44:41.880 So I can never accept that.
00:44:43.240 And that's why instead of doing six months in Florida, I ended up with a five-year sentence, because I refused to do six months in jail with no jail time.
00:44:52.800 So I think, I think that that's why I got the unsupervised.
00:44:57.380 But still, I would have to meet with someone at least the first time I refused to do that and all.
00:45:04.100 But actually, what we really were facing was 13 years, wasn't it?
00:45:08.500 13 years.
00:45:08.960 11 years.
00:45:09.700 11 years.
00:45:10.440 So I think what all our senators saying important, our dear Lauren got almost five years, four years and 10 months.
00:45:20.500 So they were trying to crush rescue again.
00:45:24.020 And rescue is so beautiful, nonviolent, peaceful, prayerful, very loving.
00:45:31.320 And they don't want it.
00:45:32.940 They know it's effective.
00:45:34.460 It saves lives.
00:45:35.560 And they were trying to crush it.
00:45:37.100 And so, Jack, what you also have to realize is the Biden-Harris Department of Justice went out of their way to create a conspiracy charge, which was a law post-Civil War that was to prevent, really, Democrats from taking the rights away of the newly freed slaves to own property and to vote.
00:46:01.080 If you were conspiring with your friend or neighbor to stop these newly freed slaves from participating in the American economy and the American way of life, then you could get up to 10 years.
00:46:13.920 And they keep that on to a face charge, which also is an outrageous law, the freedom to access clinic entry face, which was trying to stop the peaceful rescues that were giving women real alternatives.
00:46:31.920 We know from surveys today that women who have had abortions, that more than 60 percent of them did not want to do it.
00:46:41.860 They felt coerced or they were going against their strongly held personal beliefs, not always religious beliefs, but just their personal beliefs that they should not have an abortion.
00:46:53.080 And those are the women who've had an abortion.
00:46:55.360 And we know also that when women are prevented, and this comes from the other side, when women are prevented from having an abortion, they in one week to one month to one year later, they don't regret the fact that they didn't get the abortion because why?
00:47:13.800 They have a baby.
00:47:15.280 And once they have a baby, their whole worldview changes.
00:47:19.080 And really, a rescue is helping women not do something they don't want to do in the first place, and then giving them the opportunity to hold their own child, regardless of how they got pregnant or what the circumstances are, because that just brings joy to most women.
00:47:36.760 And I love that you refer to them as rescues.
00:47:40.480 We don't have a lot of time here in this segment, but I just want to say thank you so much for everything that you do.
00:47:46.600 And my last question, of course, for Joan is, do you expect to go back?
00:47:51.080 Are you going to be getting back to work?
00:47:54.280 Definitely doing full-time pro-life work with my family.
00:47:57.740 Bring the kids out to the abortion mill.
00:47:59.920 I'm not planning to risk arrest immediately because I have now nine grandkids that I am seven years old and younger.
00:48:08.100 But if God lays on my heart, I have to obey God first.
00:48:12.320 So I'm definitely going to continue with rescue, and especially if we're going to overcome this space.
00:48:18.680 But I can never say I won't and can't, because you can never agree not to try to save a child's life.
00:48:26.500 And it's no different than people who harbored the Jews and not Germany.
00:48:30.280 Amen.
00:48:31.020 It's not protecting innocent and the just.
00:48:33.580 So much.
00:48:34.420 Ladies and gentlemen, as always, you have my permission.
00:48:36.220 Thank you.
00:48:36.600 Thank you.
00:48:36.900 Thank you.
00:48:36.960 Thank you.
