00:02:14.400 You say, I'm Chris Hansen.
00:02:15.460 They say, no, you're not.
00:02:16.300 Oh, yes, I am.
00:02:17.160 I'm Chris Hansen.
00:02:18.200 No, you're not.
00:02:18.660 Is that?
00:02:19.080 No, you're not.
00:02:19.520 My hair may be gray now, but I'm still Chris Hansen.
00:02:21.800 Are you prepared to throw hands?
00:02:22.960 I would.
00:02:23.440 I mean, I'm not as good at it as you are.
00:02:24.800 What do you mean as good as he is?
00:02:26.400 Look at his face.
00:02:27.240 So he goes to Planet Pizza, gets the pizza, comes over to the house.
00:02:29.940 While I'm interrogating him, he's eating the pizza.
00:02:32.420 Offers me a slice.
00:02:33.080 He offers the crew a slice.
00:02:34.640 There's pictures and videos of the entire Clinton family with Epstein.
00:02:37.680 Donald Trump dancing.
00:02:38.800 Even Hawking was frequenting the island.
00:02:41.120 I'll tell you an interesting story about Epstein.
00:02:50.280 Bro, you actually have Neanderthal in your blood.
00:02:52.820 More than the average human.
00:02:53.940 Mike got a 23andMe.
00:02:55.420 He spit in the tube.
00:02:56.220 He got his DNA back 0.87
00:02:57.440 He has more Neanderthal than the average human 0.99
00:03:00.140 Does that surprise anyone?
00:03:01.680 Have you seen his feet?
00:03:04.140 Like 6% more Neanderthal
00:03:06.160 Than the average human does
00:03:08.260 He also came and told me he's 56% Italian 0.98
00:03:11.340 I said dude that makes you Italian 0.99
00:03:13.360 You are 1.00
00:03:14.460 No but then why would you never identify
00:03:17.100 Because it's 2023
00:03:18.960 I can identify as whatever I want
00:03:20.600 Identify something now
00:03:21.800 Identify as it being 2024
00:03:23.760 It's not even 2023 anymore
00:03:25.180 Dude, no
00:03:27.020 Honestly, I didn't know I was that Italian
00:03:29.680 I knew I had a massive
00:03:31.380 Does that show up on your 23andMe?
00:03:35.020 Nah
00:03:35.320 It's just 56% massive
00:03:36.920 But I'm from Salerno
00:03:40.160 No, you're not
00:03:41.200 No, you're not

00:03:45.940 How the f*** are you going to tell me where I'm from? 0.98
00:03:48.940 Because you would know 0.97
00:03:49.780 You know what my DNA test does
00:03:51.420 I'm a Neanderthal
00:03:52.540 You would know
00:03:53.380 Wouldn't you know if you're like
00:03:55.180 the majority something and how cool is it to be like yeah i'm italian you could say that and it
00:04:00.680 would be true you're majority italian because my last name is not italian like when they see my
00:04:04.680 last name they know i'm not italian from a namesake standpoint i thought i was hungarian
00:04:10.180 and then the and then the note came back and i couldn't believe it i'm a i'm a descendant
00:04:15.600 andrew tate i'm romanian i'm like seven percent romanian i don't know if he's romanian he's not
00:04:21.440 He's Londonian.
00:04:22.960 He's from like London or California or something. 0.70
00:04:25.280 That hair keeps in and out.
00:04:26.460 Yeah, you might be a descendant of Andrew.
00:04:27.560 It's not.
00:04:28.060 I went to Turkey. 1.00
00:04:29.220 It's thicker than a fucking pirate's beard. 1.00
00:04:33.320 You saying you're Italian is like you saying you're from New York. 1.00
00:04:37.520 You're from Connecticut.
00:04:39.000 Then what am I, Logan Paul, from Logan Paul Blocks? 0.69
00:04:41.860 Neanderthal.
00:04:42.780 Okay, that makes sense.
00:04:44.380 That makes sense.
00:04:45.940 Guys, we have a guest today.
00:04:46.940 He came all the way to Puerto Rico.
00:04:48.460 Why?
00:04:48.660 Why would you do that?
00:04:49.560 Because he wanted to come on Impulsive.

00:04:57.380 Our guest today was the face
00:04:58.400 Of the most insane and popular news reality series ever
00:05:01.360 To catch a predator
00:05:02.420 Where he would confront potential sexual predators on TV
00:05:05.280 His current series, Takedown with Chris Hansen
00:05:07.500 Can be seen on WatchTrueBlue.com
00:05:09.160 Ladies and gentlemen, it's Chris Hansen
00:05:10.760 Yes, sir
00:05:13.340 I can't believe it
00:05:14.980 Chris Hansen in the house
00:05:16.400 You didn't have to stand back up to shake my hand
00:05:18.260 It's not worth it
00:05:19.100 Cordial, cordial
00:05:20.120 Oh, I didn't even say the line.
00:05:21.580 Can you stand up for a second?
00:05:23.540 Chris Hansen, have a seat.
00:05:25.220 Right over here?
00:05:25.980 Right there.
00:05:26.560 Right over here.
00:05:27.460 Have a seat right over here.
00:05:29.740 Are the police hot signs?
00:05:30.640 That felt wrong.
00:05:31.660 That felt wrong. 0.94
00:05:32.540 Why does he look more ready for Puerto Rican days than we do?
00:05:35.840 You look so beachy.
00:05:37.600 Well, I had to dig deep into the drawer because I'm about to go skiing next week.
00:05:44.240 I'm sorry not to interrupt you.
00:05:45.680 Just we got to figure this mic situation.
00:05:47.940 All right.
00:05:48.220 Do you want to move over?
00:05:48.900 No, sorry.
00:05:49.620 Sorry.
00:05:49.960 sorry sorry sorry chris hansen ah sorry i just assaulted chris hansen okay that feels good
00:05:57.520 that feels good good you're good where are you going skiing beaver creek uh just which is near
00:06:03.060 vale just no yeah there's no snow really yeah we're we're in what's called el nino which means
00:06:09.220 i know but i saw they had five inches just the other day we were in northern michigan i have a
00:06:14.960 question for you when he talks do you feel like you're on his show yeah yeah a little bit yeah 0.97
00:06:18.580 i'll answer i've got some transcripts i want to go over with you don't even fucking try it dude 0.83
00:06:24.260 this is one thing's not you you flew to manchester for i did which was awesome loved it that's when 0.89
00:06:31.100 we first met yeah exactly i couldn't believe you were down to catch a predator with me yeah no it
00:06:35.040 was good we caught him too you caught him you not you not only caught him you just about knocked
00:06:38.420 him out we got him yeah uh it's so funny chris you're you're a legend and when we first started
00:06:43.620 doing our our interview for your show you started talking and i i got like kind of scared because
00:06:50.080 like the cadence and like rhythm of your voice voice all i know it from is you're in trouble
00:06:56.220 well i mean you know 20 years into it so february will be 20 years from the very first predator
00:07:03.020 investigation now you know with our own streaming network true blue um we've got you know a new
00:07:09.860 batch of 60 investigations out and we're doing more every month you're doing great work not only
00:07:15.880 is what you do entertaining but like i wonder how many predators you're dissuading from that
00:07:22.480 activity because they know they're susceptible to being caught well here's the shocking thing
00:07:26.680 i thought we'd do this three times when we started in 2004 and that would be it if you had told me
00:07:35.560 20 years later we'd still be out there doing these stings and guys would show up i wouldn't
00:07:40.300 have believed you now yes i think we've dissuaded and discouraged men from doing this and this big
00:07:45.940 interview we're about to drop with this doctor we caught in a recent sting i think we'll go a long
00:07:50.400 way to do that uh and i hope it's a deterrent it should be you've you've called people out you say
00:07:56.140 i'm chris hansen they say no you're not yeah oh yes i am my hair may be gray now but i'm still
00:08:01.140 chris hansen they recognize you they know they're in yeah of course they do of course they do and
00:08:05.420 but it speaks to the big issue here and that is these guys and they're not just one type of guy
00:08:12.700 they're different guys but in general they get hooked on porn sometimes child porn they get this
00:08:19.140 fantasy going about sex with a teen and at some point they blur the line between fantasy and
00:08:25.800 reality and they're coming to knock on our door and showing up in our sting operations and more
00:08:30.980 often than not, you'll see in the chat, this isn't a Chris Hansen thing, is it? This isn't
00:08:37.740 a Sheriff Grady Judd thing or a Sheriff Chris Swanson thing, is it? They'll call out the sheriff
00:08:41.980 by name because we work over and over again with the same law enforcement agencies around the
00:08:46.920 country. And the decoy will say, no, no, no, who's that? And they show up. Why? Because it's just
00:08:55.900 like a heroin addict they know there's a 20 chance there's fentanyl in the heroin but they
00:09:02.200 need the fix and they do it anyway they know these predators that there's a 20 chance i know
00:09:08.380 it's chris handsome right now and you're like why are people looking i'm i just have a sure yeah 0.91
00:09:14.780 so i just wish you wouldn't make that connection because there's there's no shit makes me feel 0.81
00:09:18.660 uncomfortable there's no shame in it there is no shame well there is shame in the people 0.98
00:09:22.340 there is for sure but some of them have an addictive disease like you had an addictive
00:09:29.440 disease well i want to ask you about that yeah because i think the public you know obsession
00:09:37.180 with crime and and as of recently pedophilia people people look at pedophiles and i wanted
00:09:45.100 to ask your kind of stance on this as the worst people on the planet absolutely and some of them
00:09:49.660 are. So, you know, we want in this society, simple answers, lock them up, put them in the chair or
00:09:57.260 give them the treatment that works every time. That's not how this works, right? These are
00:10:01.260 different guys. There are guys right now who want to do this, but have the self-control and are
00:10:06.180 getting therapy to not do it. There are guys who can't control themselves and with or without the
00:10:11.060 internet, they're going to offend. They're going to sexually assault a child. These are the bad 0.59
00:10:15.040 guys, even without the internet, who'd be at the mall, the bad little league coach, the bad
00:10:19.780 boy scout leader. Those guys have to be locked up forever. They're incorrigible. And then there's
00:10:25.040 this guy in the middle who gets, you know, too far down the road on these sites and they get 0.81
00:10:33.760 obsessed with the idea of having sex with a teen boy or girl. And at some point they can't control
00:10:39.920 the obsession and they go for it. And they, they cross their fingers and hope that it's not going
00:10:44.060 be me or some law enforcement agency. It sounds a little bit like you have a tone of empathy
00:10:50.580 for some of these people. Is that true? I do. That is true. And this doctor interview
00:10:54.980 that we're dropping soon is an example of that. This guy, a wealthy man who's at his practice
00:11:05.380 and in the course of seeing 18 patients is chatting up a decoy posing as a teenage girl
00:11:12.980 sexually charged conversations he wants to bring oreos so she'll get him caught up in her
00:11:18.820 braces he talks about supporting her so being daddy i'm going to do you hard daddy says things
00:11:28.080 like that how can how can you have empathy for someone well i don't in the moment i don't in
00:11:32.720 the moment. This guy was a bad guy who was going to rip a child. But as always, there's more to
00:11:38.160 the story. And so after I confront him, I mean, he walks into this house and we have the video
00:11:43.500 and grabs the decoy, who's actually a sheriff's department employee in the behind. And I walk
00:11:51.380 out to confront him and I lay it down hard, you know, and I've got the transcripts and I talk
00:11:58.180 about specifics. And he sent a picture of his penis to this girl while he's at his doctor's 0.99
00:12:03.340 office, shows up in a range room, well-dressed, moneyed man. But he had gone down this road with 1.00
00:12:11.340 porn. There had been no indication that he had tried to meet a child for sex before, 0.75
00:12:15.740 but he was willing to blur this line to fulfill this obsession. And he talks about this. So
00:12:21.120 after the fact, after considering suicide, and we talk about this in the interview,
00:12:27.440 after being locked up in the county jail for four days, after losing his medical practice,
00:12:33.720 all his friends, almost his family, he sits down as part of his court-ordered community service
00:12:41.260 and therapy with me for an exclusive interview one-on-one and gets into all this as to how he
00:12:47.040 got there. And I asked him at one point, I said, is there a part of you who's relieved to have been
00:12:54.540 caught and he says absolutely i got my life back my life is beyond repair at the moment
00:13:01.100 but i'll get there and he lays it out honestly with his lawyer and his wife in the room during
00:13:08.160 the interview that is the most confusing part about these predators to me is a lot of them
00:13:13.000 i feel like have wives they do families kids kids kids the same age as collateral damage
00:13:19.140 I can't tell you how many times.
00:13:22.420 Predating?
00:13:23.480 Kids they're preying upon.
00:13:25.760 Kids they're preying upon.
00:13:27.640 But I can't tell you how many times.
00:13:30.000 And this collateral damage is a very important part of the story
00:13:33.540 because it destroys families.
00:13:36.820 Well, sure.
00:13:37.700 I mean, what's a kid going to think?
00:13:39.120 My dad just got busted by Chris Hansen
00:13:41.000 in the Genesee, Michigan Sheriff's Office?
00:13:44.640 How do you tell your wife that?
00:13:46.520 Bro, but the weird thing about it is...
00:13:49.140 It's a it's a it's an incredibly uncomfortable conversation to have, but it's also a very prevalent scenario in the United States of America.
00:13:57.600 And it's it's it's strange.
00:13:58.680 I want to talk about it a little bit further down the line in this this recent obsession with Holly Weir and Epstein.
00:14:05.580 But but this this situation, this crime has been happening in the United States and worldwide forever.
00:14:12.760 For since the beginning of time.

00:16:50.180 Oh my God, Lexi, we have a new podcast.
00:16:52.920 It's called Don't Lie to Me.
00:16:54.280 I'm Lexi Iwanu.
00:16:55.480 We're two best friends, 22 years apart, but so close at heart.
00:16:59.500 And I'm Lisa DiGiulio, the old one,
00:17:02.280 which means we have wildly different references,
00:17:04.560 occasionally different opinions.
00:17:05.840 And at this point in my 50s, I've lived it all.
00:17:08.640 I'm not going to get anywhere fighting.
00:17:11.500 That is wild.
00:17:12.960 I learned that about you today.
00:17:15.580 Now in my 30s, being the founder of New Shoes,
00:17:18.780 Good Taste is my business,

00:17:32.020 We're best friends, but we don't always agree.
00:17:34.360 Because you told us how accommodating you are.
00:17:36.880 Obviously, I would do what I think I could do
00:17:39.140 to fight the fight,
00:17:40.280 but there's only so much fight I can fight.

00:18:56.940 Back to the show.
00:18:57.740 And I know that you keep bringing up the internet
00:18:59.980 and bringing up digital content, porn specifically.
00:19:02.820 Do you think that we've seen an exponential uptick
00:19:06.500 in this type of activity since digital?
00:19:09.260 Absolutely, without question.
00:19:10.480 Because you talk about these three groups of predators
00:19:13.440 and the one group has already been active
00:19:17.060 for the dawn of humanity.
00:19:19.280 Those are the lifers.
00:19:19.740 Yeah, these guys are the lifers.
00:19:21.260 I mean, these guys are wired
00:19:22.600 for whatever combination of reasons 0.99
00:19:24.460 to want to have sex with children. 0.92
00:19:26.500 And there are even groups out there now 0.96
00:19:28.400 who try to normalize this.
00:19:30.060 I was going to ask about that.
00:19:31.360 Yeah, which is total BS. 1.00
00:19:33.260 Well, that's fucked. 0.99
00:19:34.180 Well, I mean, I've seen it on Twitter. 0.99
00:19:36.700 Some people would say that, again, you just used the word wired.
00:19:40.620 They're wired to think and attract.
00:19:43.320 Minor attracted persons. 1.00
00:19:44.260 Yeah.
00:19:44.860 Oh, that's what it's, what's the term?
00:19:46.080 They have it, maps.
00:19:47.040 Maps, oh my God.
00:19:48.520 So, so sorry.
00:19:49.980 So that, okay, let's go slow here.
00:19:52.200 So that is a science accepted, that's not in the TSA, right?
00:19:58.320 No, no, no, no, no, no.
00:19:59.160 It's not science accepted.
00:20:00.160 there's a group trying to make it accepted that this is the way some people are which that part
00:20:07.860 of it is true and they're trying to normalize it which is absolutely abhorrent and wrong on every
00:20:12.860 level normalize the behavior or normalize accepting and trying to therapeutically correct the behavior
00:20:18.840 not so much the therapeutic part but making it acceptable as a norm okay that's that's
00:20:25.580 completely exactly exactly i mean there there are some there's there's a lot of different ways to
00:20:30.960 look at it and obviously people have every person has their own perception of everything in life
00:20:34.880 different you know strokes or different folks right right there are some people who will have
00:20:40.060 some level of empathy for the person right maybe if they're you know admitting that they fell into
00:20:45.480 a world of porn and they want to work on it so on and so forth there are other people who think
00:20:50.140 and i don't know where i personally fall but there are other people who think that if you 0.93
00:20:54.300 ever show any tendency towards this type of behavior you deserve to die there are people
00:21:00.960 who think that but i do a podcast called predators i've caught where we go back over these previous 0.70
00:21:06.640 cases go into detail and sometimes the guys will chat with me for a minute or two but we you know
00:21:11.620 we do a lot of research i immerse myself in the transcripts the interviews and then we find out
00:21:16.360 what this guy is up to today what has happened to his life and i have a very close relationship
00:21:22.120 with the audience and i have on numerous occasions gotten emails from listeners who say i am
00:21:28.960 predisposed to wanting to have sex with a teen girl or boy but but but i know what that's i'm
00:21:35.660 attracted i'm attracted for whatever combination of reasons i'm attracted to have sex with children
00:21:40.040 i think about it but i go to therapy i would never offend i'm just being honest with you that there
00:21:45.880 are people out there who have these thoughts but are in control of their lives and don't offend
00:21:51.340 and that's a funny conversation for me to have with the viewer because on the one hand you know
00:21:57.540 you don't want to condone those thoughts or or those potential actions but the fact that the
00:22:03.120 guy was brave enough to come forward and say i have this issue but i'm seeking treatment and
00:22:08.560 i'm in a good place right now slightly commendable he it's they're not offending
00:22:14.060 yeah where's the line where's the line if you offend if you offend that's that's the line because
00:22:19.300 because the strange thing about you have these conversations which which i think is good prior
00:22:25.020 to offense like you're actually talking to these people which is fantastic but there's this weird
00:22:29.820 you know line that exists as far as where thoughts feelings and emotions even and how they work with
00:22:36.180 the human mind in general the human mind has a way of focusing on the worst possible things
00:22:42.940 absolutely and so i wonder if there are some of these people who are simply a victim of intrusive
00:22:47.280 thoughts of some level of OCD. That's it too. And some of them have been perhaps victimized as a
00:22:53.760 child by an adult, which got them down this path in the beginning. And so you see these people
00:23:01.060 sometimes in these scenarios who have been victimized and in their mind now normalize
00:23:08.320 this sort of sexual activity. And you got to break the chain.
00:23:11.040 And you got to break the chain. Yeah. So I applaud somebody who's not offended,
00:23:15.280 who comes forward and says you know i i get treatment and i know from talking to therapists
00:23:21.220 who deal with um people who have this issue that if they reach out to somebody early enough
00:23:28.560 in their lives they can prevent that person from being an offender do they get marked
00:23:33.520 not just by going to therapy but by you if someone is basically there's no way he can
00:23:41.260 remember. No, I mean, no, I know it's a, it's a good question. You know, this guy who sends me
00:23:45.820 this heartfelt email and who's nervous to even give me his real name because there's a part of
00:23:51.940 him who thinks I might turn him into law enforcement, even though he's not done anything
00:23:55.040 wrong, but he's not wanting to get on anybody's radar because he's not done anything wrong.
00:24:01.300 The real vexing question here is what about this, uh, virtual reality porn?
00:24:09.300 you know ai and if it's made up and not a real child is somebody getting an experience without
00:24:20.940 offending or will it one day turn into an obsession that needs to be fulfilled with a real
00:24:26.800 human so we're seeing a case of this right now right now not with the underage but as of i think
00:24:32.840 the last week there was a the first ever sexual assault in the metasphere yeah basically there
00:24:40.120 was a girl who claimed that she was we can probably find the story but there's a girl who
00:24:44.060 claimed that she was taken advantage of in virtual reality which i is i don't i don't know me neither
00:24:50.540 i know but it's because i don't know the story me neither what she like ended up in a room with
00:24:56.720 like a bunch of guys and it turned in bro i don't even know how yeah these are these are
00:25:03.540 vexing issues for sure and i'm not pretending i've got the answer to it by the way you know
00:25:08.480 but but i can tell you there are you can definitely get sexually harassed as it stands in in virtual
00:25:14.580 reality for sure but being being well where does well i think the question's gonna i think the
00:25:20.120 question is going to become like where is the line drawn for where where real world person ends
00:25:30.220 and virtual reality person begins but my issue with it when it comes to children so you know
00:25:36.000 child porn evil bad every time uh an image of child pornography is viewed it's another
00:25:41.360 victimization of that child without question in my mind right but if they do it in virtual reality
00:25:48.040 if it's you know ai and ai child and there isn't a real child there my argument would be that
00:25:54.860 at some point the porn isn't going to be enough and they're going to want to offend
00:26:00.520 so to me that's just as evil as real for sure you're encouraging you're creating an image of
00:26:07.660 a child being uh sexually exploited and that's wrong well it's so it's a it's a once again a
00:26:13.840 question of scale of depravity well because because that and the law is keeping up with what
00:26:20.940 the digital world allows people to do but but what the reason i say that is we just also had
00:26:27.380 this conversation with elon as recently i can go into a virtual virtual reality world right now
00:26:33.280 and take out a a machine gun and mow down an entire police force killing all of them sure
00:26:40.580 and that's and that's a very acceptable thing in today's day and age you can go in grand theft 0.99
00:26:44.740 order i can murder an entire family i can murder i can do whatever i want in that world so what i'm
00:26:49.560 doing is i'm dialing this conversation back now to where i started which was and and i think we 0.73
00:26:56.800 all inherently agree with it but what is it that makes the assault of a child i guess it's that
00:27:05.000 it's a child right that makes people so much more like for example december 14th 2023 lake county
00:27:12.080 florida prosecutors announced they are seeking death penalty for a man accused of committing
00:27:16.220 sexual battery of a minor so under the age of 12 so florida would be the first state to actually
00:27:22.080 uh potentially seek a death penalty capital punishment for sexual assault of a minor
00:27:27.660 so basically putting it in the same category as capital murder well i i think it deserves to be
00:27:33.300 there in certain circumstances does that deter every predator immediately i don't think it
00:27:39.660 necessarily deters every predator immediately it's going to make some guys think how but what
00:27:45.420 i mean i know if you get caught you're gonna die right but you know going to prison for the rest
00:27:50.760 of your life that you would think would be a deterrent i mean you're right and i think it's
00:27:54.860 in some cases i do not think that's too extreme but even going to prison for the rest of your
00:28:00.740 life like i i followed your show and like i am definitely one of the people that has watched all
00:28:04.920 the clips available on youtube and i'm often actually surprised how light the penalties were
00:28:10.780 well so am i and i think in the very beginning of our investigations there was
00:28:14.980 a temptation to view this by some uh members of the judiciary even in the prosecutor's office
00:28:25.520 as a TV sting, so yeah, it's bad, but it wouldn't have happened unless we did the predator
00:28:34.360 investigations. I would argue that by the time they get caught in one of my investigations,
00:28:40.460 they've already offended before. I mean, I hear it all the time. It's my first time I've never
00:28:45.620 done this before. And in some cases, that's true. I don't think the doctor, Parminder Jaswal,
00:28:51.640 offended with a child prior to showing up at our house.
00:28:55.080 Would he have done it that night?
00:28:56.640 Absolutely. 1.00
00:28:57.780 Without question, he would have had sex with a teenage girl. 1.00
00:29:00.920 I wholeheartedly believe it. 0.99
00:29:03.460 But will he do it in the future?
00:29:05.380 I don't think so.
00:29:07.140 How much of you does this for entertainment versus doing good?
00:29:12.660 Like impact.
00:29:13.280 It all started for doing good.
00:29:17.840 Now, unquestionably, that's still the goal.
00:29:21.640 along the way it became something that was bigger than that and undeniably there are humorous moments
00:29:32.580 iconic moments the pizza the pizza do you know i mean no i i i posted something yesterday
00:29:40.460 are you aware of the the stealers ravens yeah okay so there was a predator who showed up john
00:29:46.540 Dupuy in Fairfield, Connecticut. And he said he just came over to watch the football game.
00:29:52.320 Steelers-Wavens, as he said. And so this thing became iconic. So I'm in the American Airlines
00:29:58.180 Club on the way here yesterday. And I look behind me and it's the Steelers-Ravens. So I take a
00:30:05.760 picture for Instagram with, you know, my mug in it with the game in the background. And it went
00:30:10.740 crazy because people know that so it has that iconic status it's it's it's it's bigger than
00:30:16.520 any other franchise that i've you know been involved in in 43 years of being a journalist
00:30:23.600 i think it was the most successful tv show on the network one of them that pizza evidently
00:30:29.800 became like a famous dish at that pizza place do you know that planet pizza well you know how the
00:30:34.640 story behind planet pizza right so we're doing this investigation in fairfield connecticut it
00:30:39.460 aired on a crime watch daily when i was doing that show and my son was one of the cameramen
00:30:46.440 and he had attended fairfield prep not far from there and this predator was coming all the way
00:30:53.820 from boston and i said hey chase what's a good spot to me he goes uh planet uh planet pizza
00:31:02.380 it's a great so he goes to planet pizza the cops see him go to planet pizza jeff sokol yep
00:31:08.480 gets the pizza comes over to the house he's got a marriage contract in the car even this whole big
00:31:13.880 thing evolved and while i'm interrogating him he's eating the pizza offers me a slice offers
00:31:20.880 the crew a slice and so planet pizza whether they wanted the notoriety or not you know for
00:31:27.880 that investigation became the official pizza of uh hansen versus predator well pizza has a role
00:31:34.920 in pedophilia without it yeah no you say we could just isolate that no no no no no you say
00:31:42.680 what are you talking about i know you're talking about pizza correct which is a totally made up 0.99
00:31:45.700 okay thank okay can we please get into some of this shit right now are you cool with it yeah 0.63
00:31:50.220 i'm fine with whatever you guys want to do but it is all bs okay i have no idea what y'all just
00:31:55.000 hang on okay okay maybe you can explain it better but i'll give you a quick rundown
00:32:00.040 basically as i mentioned earlier a swath of society has become obsessed with uh elitism
00:32:08.400 going on for 10 years right right remember when i used to talk about like q anon and like that
00:32:13.160 type of shit and at the time it was a smaller base i think they've really found a footing
00:32:17.480 especially with x and and their ability to kind of you know weaponize or materialize but basically 0.99
00:32:23.400 there's this belief that elite elitists or politicians ordering pizza symbolizes them
00:32:32.060 ordering underage boys and girls basically yeah so like for example there's like this i don't even
00:32:38.800 know if it's real but there's this like transcript of a call for from like obama to order like pizza
00:32:43.500 and hot dogs to the white house right and they think that means that he was ordering yeah but
00:32:47.060 it's all i i guarantee you i can predict without fear of contradiction it's all conspiratorial bs
00:32:52.620 for sure and you're sure i'm positive what is i so sure because i want to just absolutely no
00:32:58.220 evidence of it and if anybody would know somebody would come to me and say this is the deal you need
00:33:06.880 to look at this it doesn't exist it's been investigated it's been reviewed it is all
00:33:12.660 bs and you realize so just so you know this led to an actual one of these people going into a pizza
00:33:20.360 place that i think it was called comet pizza or ping pong i don't remember what it was in i think
00:33:24.800 it was there was a there was a pizza place in virginia in suburban washington dc yeah it was
00:33:29.680 that allegedly this was going on where these kids were actually being harbored or or there was also
00:33:35.320 a thing two years ago where uh there was a rumor and a conspiracy theory that if you ordered
00:33:41.580 furniture from a discount wayfair wayfair that you were actually ordering kids in a cabinet
00:33:46.160 again you know do you feel like and do you feel like this these conspiracies and stories actually
00:33:52.860 do a disservice to the real work that's being done i think they do but i think that's part of
00:33:57.000 having an open digital culture i mean anybody can say anything at any given time and it can catch
00:34:02.020 fire and people have said stuff about all kinds of people anybody who's in the public world has

00:38:37.360 Just a little over your sentence where he'd, you know, spend the weekdays in the county jail.
00:38:42.800 and there were lawyers representing victims and they weren't ready to speak out yet and that was
00:38:50.380 the key to it and and i tried to fashion a sting around the new york residents where some of the
00:38:57.540 stuff was happening and the layers of security and the way it was set up it just we couldn't pull it
00:39:01.920 off so after spending months looking at the epstein story and trying to do that and and the
00:39:08.400 the compound in florida was just too difficult to the system was too difficult what do you mean by
00:39:13.180 that what do you mean by that we tried to get somebody in there to see what was going on with
00:39:16.540 the hidden camera we i spent a lot of time working on the story and it just didn't go anywhere in
00:39:20.460 terms of the way i wanted to so you attempted to we looked at it we looked at we looked at
00:39:25.280 infiltrating to see if these allegations were continuing and were true the reason why the story
00:39:30.980 got out there. And the reason why he was prosecuted was the Miami Herald, who stayed
00:39:37.520 with this story, and one of the reporters down there, Julie K. Brown, who wrote a book, ultimately,
00:39:42.620 every day they pounded away, pounded away. And this speaks to the importance of local news
00:39:47.520 and newspapers. And she convinced some of these victims and survivors to speak out publicly.
00:39:54.640 And the U.S. attorney in New York at the time said as much in the news conference when they
00:39:59.460 announce the charges against Epstein. But without the Miami Herald, you wouldn't see this
00:40:03.620 prosecution today. And we just got so hung up on doing it in a captivating, you know, on-camera
00:40:10.220 televised way that we couldn't pull it off. And it was the old-fashioned reporting of the Miami
00:40:15.500 Herald that brought this to light the second time around. What red tape were you running into?
00:40:20.820 It wasn't red tape. It was logistics of doing the story. Nobody said, you can't do this story.
00:40:24.940 No, and I was, at the time I was working for, you know, I was doing stuff for Discovery. I
00:40:29.340 I was doing stuff on my own.
00:40:30.460 We were talking about doing Cromerage Daily.
00:40:31.760 There were a number of places where this,
00:40:33.980 I could have released it on my own on, you know,
00:40:36.220 digital social media.
00:40:37.720 But we had, nobody said, don't touch this
00:40:39.960 or the important people are involved.
00:40:41.600 It was just, it was just, I had to,
00:40:44.520 in my mind, I wanted to do it up here
00:40:46.700 with hidden camera video.
00:40:49.440 And that just couldn't be done.
00:40:50.720 And I got busy with other topics.
00:40:52.440 It was the old fashioned reporting
00:40:54.080 of the Miami Herald that got this done.
00:40:55.640 And that's my point.
00:40:56.760 Fact finding, so on and so forth.
00:40:58.200 So so I mean, obviously, like this story, once again, it's like a microcosm for this, like greater investigation into elite in that community that I described.
00:41:07.160 And I think curiously for all of us into elitism and.
00:41:11.720 But he's one of the ultimate predators, right?
00:41:13.400 him and peter nygaard we did a big story on him he had the big compound in the bahamas and
00:41:18.180 multiple and impregnating girls and using the stem cells from the fetuses for you know youth
00:41:24.940 you know enhancing things that he was up to these are bad guys like stems like stem cells like he
00:41:32.160 would impregnate these girls down to the bahamas at his compound and then harvest the uh the aborted
00:41:36.980 fetuses and have them injected in himself so like that so but those are bad those are the question
00:41:40.780 But they were able to guys like that and Epstein were able to use money influence and and figure out ways to infiltrate these other people's lives. 0.95
00:41:50.000 And sometimes they dangled sex and massages in front of them. 0.89
00:41:53.280 Sure. Absolutely. 0.98
00:41:53.880 So you're not denying you're not denying that things of that just insane storyline or of that just ridiculous nature actually happened.
00:42:05.220 Sometimes they have just denying those specific stories that I've brought up.
00:42:08.480 Well, yeah, Pizzagate is BS.
00:42:10.000 But my point is, Epstein was a bad guy who lured a lot of people in there.
00:42:13.700 A lot of people, you know, were weak and engaged in bad behavior with him.
00:42:18.480 But at the core of it, Epstein is the predator who was preying upon intelligent people, wealthy people.
00:42:26.400 I mean, this guy, you know, had.
00:42:28.480 He's as bad as it gets.
00:42:29.340 It is.
00:42:30.040 And Peter Nygaard is right up there with him.
00:42:31.840 And were they protected?
00:42:33.020 i mean i think there were lawyers hired by wealthy people who were on the periphery of
00:42:39.120 this thing what about politicians i don't think there was any official government action or there
00:42:45.280 was no uh action by an investigating agency like the fbi to say okay you know clinton's name pops
00:42:51.440 up here we're not going to do anything about to protect him i don't think that happened was he
00:42:54.660 was he john doe 63 or whatever he was in there i mean there are pictures of him there he was you
00:42:59.560 know he flew on the plane um his family flew on the plane um epstein was able to open the doors
00:43:07.400 for you know the daughter's wedding chelsea's wedding and you know secure yachts and properties
00:43:11.960 and things like that so but he was good at you know so are these people taking part in all the
00:43:16.360 sex parties we don't know that's the question or is he just is he just manipulating you know people
00:43:21.600 and then getting a photo of a guy getting a massage on a flight again you shouldn't be doing
00:43:26.260 it you know you should this guy got popped and you know uh on one charge in florida people should
00:43:32.900 do their due diligence and not hang out with so you think it may have just been laziness of the
00:43:36.380 people i think there was some of that i think you know if you're a single guy and there's a guy you
00:43:40.620 don't know anything about his criminal you don't know that he's got a criminal background he's got
00:43:43.440 a jet in an island you may go take a trip with him not knowing that he was engaging in wide-scale
00:43:49.120 human trafficking i mean bad stuff and galane matchwell was right there with him see you have
00:43:54.280 a little bit more hope well i see i see i see nuance to it that see that's what and i believe
00:44:00.920 that that's but i'm and i'm not i'm not defending bill clinton i'm not defending bill gates i'm not
00:44:06.900 defending any of these people stephen hawking yeah i mean you know you can't make that up
00:44:12.160 i'm sorry can you explain stephen hawking was was frequenting the island he was frequenting
00:44:18.540 the island have you seen the memes i've seen the memes what do you make of those
00:44:21.780 disturbing he's dead it's just yeah it's just yeah it is but but it goes to the point where
00:44:27.320 that's how good he was at corrupting people and getting them involved in this stuff now again
00:44:31.440 you know i can't tell you that there was no illicit sex that took place because we don't know
00:44:37.140 and we don't know and they put themselves in danger by saying okay we're gonna go hang out
00:44:40.920 with epstein did they get into it for illicit sexual activity maybe maybe not we don't know
00:44:46.520 But he was good at getting a lot of good, smart people with money in his circle.
00:44:52.220 It's just become so politicized as well.
00:44:56.380 Of course it has.
00:44:56.900 Like, listen, like, there's pictures and videos of the entire Clinton family with Epstein.
00:45:02.500 There's pictures of Donald Trump dancing with Jeffrey Epstein.
00:45:05.440 Dancing, pointing at him, doing the finger guns.
00:45:07.320 And then claiming he never knew who he was.
00:45:09.760 And then claiming that he banned him from Mar-a-Lago because he was hitting on, you know, somebody's daughter or an employee there.
00:45:15.080 the video shows them looking like literally like best friends yeah and and so so i think i think
00:45:19.440 that timeline might also be the question is is like who who know who truly knows i think there's
00:45:25.220 a lot of speculation but but but dialing it back i want to bring it back up a level epstein has
00:45:30.140 become the face of this elitist invest investigation into elitist and holly weird and so on and so
00:45:36.760 forth and i want to ask you this question right now there's a a general public uh you know like
00:45:43.780 i said obsession with investigation into hollywood and and and what people are doing there do you
00:45:50.060 think statistically hollywood represents a bigger majority of predatory scenarios or do you think
00:45:56.820 middle america represents a higher statistic well i i think for high profile cases like weinstein
00:46:03.540 i mean it's a horrible case this guy was a bad guy you know and the multiple and not just
00:46:10.500 allegations but but you know clear-cut cases where he was preying on women horrible horrible and so
00:46:16.780 he is arguably at one time one of the biggest Hollywood figures so you got to think okay if
00:46:24.040 if Weinstein's doing it who else is doing it so I see why people have that perception of Hollywood
00:46:29.380 being Holly weird and and I get it all the time on social media you know lay off the regular guys
00:46:34.880 and go after you know everybody in Hollywood I don't think everyone in Hollywood is engaging in
00:46:39.140 this type of behavior. But we have seen some of the highest profile cases in recent history
00:46:44.420 involving Hollywood people. Of course, but I think, but yeah, but they have, it's look,
00:46:48.620 when you have money and you have a sense of impunity and you don't think you can get caught
00:46:54.940 and you've got all this power, you know, power corrupts and absolute power corrupts. Absolutely.
00:46:59.420 It's an old adage, but it's true. And, and so these high profile cases kind of take over
00:47:04.540 the the public's um imagination and for good reason but i don't think you know statistically
00:47:12.600 the kind of predatory cases i investigate i don't know that there's any more in hollywood
00:47:16.940 than there are what is the data i mean what is the data there is no data it's so ubiquitous you
00:47:20.760 can't you can't i can't scientifically tell you one way or the other well certainly you can you
00:47:25.460 can draw it out i can tell you i can i can tell you well i can tell you that in riverside california
00:47:30.780 we caught x many guys i can tell you in you know pole county florida we caught x many guys this is
00:47:38.420 when i wish we had a real research producer on the show because i would love a but i'd love to
00:47:42.280 see a per capita figure on predatory but it's a hard number to get to now i can tell you that if
00:47:48.460 i'm near a military base we're going to statistically see more military guys if i'm in a
00:47:52.540 in an area of a certain you know racial societal makeup we'll see you know you see whoever lives
00:47:59.020 in the area where you're doing the investigation it's just it's just it's weird how the perception
00:48:03.800 has changed is all i'm saying it's like i understand it because of the high profile
00:48:07.820 power yeah but it's like when i was growing up i didn't think okay when i was growing up it was
00:48:14.260 never a thought of mine if i go to the golden globes i'm at risk my thought was always if i'm
00:48:20.280 at a traffic sorry at a truck stop in alabama i'm at risk well i mean both you could argue it both
00:48:26.520 ways you know this this is a global problem yeah that occurs all over the world and it's not going
00:48:33.900 away by just arresting the people so your best defense and the the most important message of
00:48:41.240 the entire predator franchise is you have to educate kids to be aware without totally freaking
00:48:49.120 them out but you start the conversation when they first have access to the internet and it's like
00:48:54.640 this there are grown-ups who like to trick kids kids don't like to be tricked you start there and
00:49:01.140 you ratchet it up as they get older and have more access to the internet i i had lunch today with
00:49:07.620 somebody who said uh i want to thank you and it was a friend of the people i was having lunch with
00:49:14.260 i said why is that i was homeschooled as a kid and i had a lot of time on the internet and my mom
00:49:22.520 made me watch your shows. And it helped me understand that there was danger out there.
00:49:27.600 I get approached all the time in public. My wife and I will be out at dinner and somebody will say,
00:49:31.620 hey, can I talk to you for a minute? So sure. This happened to me as a kid. And every time
00:49:36.080 you bust somebody, it makes me feel better about myself going into the victim. That's why we do it.
00:49:40.580 I mean, yeah, there's a big television component to it. It's been wildly successful. People watch
00:49:44.820 it for a lot of reasons. We've got something like 5 billion hits on YouTube alone. And I
00:49:52.300 understand the pop culture nature to it. But at the end of the day, I'm going to keep doing it
00:49:58.340 because it raises awareness and creates a dialogue that has to continue. You can't jail them all.
00:50:06.180 So your best defense is education and to have this discussion. We've done it in northern Michigan.
00:50:12.360 We've done it in southern Florida. We've done it east coast, west coast, in between. It goes on
00:50:16.640 everywhere how many people are doing what you do and not airing it or do you think the two go hand
00:50:23.120 in hand because i think you just said it the the key word is education right like you can do this
00:50:27.520 off air and that's awesome but if you're showing people the dangers and the intricacies of how
00:50:33.380 this happens and how you arrive in that house in this thing i think it's personally as a media kid
00:50:40.640 i personally think that is much more effective than why i think i think like noble about right
00:50:45.940 Right. I think the combination, right? The first two times we did it, we did it on our own with an online watchdog group called Perverted Justice. And they had the decoys. We did the confrontations. And the guys left.
00:50:59.360 Now, in the first two investigations, law enforcement did successfully prosecute a number of those cases, but it became very clear to me that going forward, we had to somehow collaborate with law enforcement.
00:51:11.620 And we've adapted that collaboration over the years to ensure the credibility of the criminal cases.
00:51:19.280 And because of that, virtually every case is prosecuted successfully, virtually every case.
00:51:25.300 Now, there are citizen groups, vigilante groups that do this, and they go on YouTube.
00:51:30.960 YouTube, interestingly, and I just found this out this past week,
00:51:34.780 YouTube is apparently taking down these sorts of sting operations if law enforcement is not involved.
00:51:41.080 Not just demonetizing, but taking them down.
00:51:43.400 So Jideon, one of our YouTube friends, actually had to team up with a police officer in order to film that video
00:51:50.620 because he researched beforehand and knew that YouTube would take it down.
00:51:53.560 but but as you know and as you just mentioned there's also a group of people which i hate to
00:51:59.540 like i don't want to promote it but like you kind of have to think it's kind of awesome 0.98
00:52:03.100 that go and when they have evidence that someone's done something like this they just beat the fuck
00:52:07.040 out of them what on camera yeah it's like a whole thing and they and they listen i'm not 0.56
00:52:13.080 i get it okay i get it don't do it and i get in trouble every time i talk about this i get
00:52:17.560 hate on on social media that i'm somehow dissing these people who go out and do good work and
00:52:22.360 expose these guys there is definitely a place in the world for citizen journalism right podcasts
00:52:27.740 and youtube channels citizen violence yeah citizen violence is a different thing you can't solve a
00:52:32.400 crime by committing a crime right so yeah so i'm i'm against it and again i'm gonna i can already
00:52:37.500 read it you know right now and then then they'll reach out to my wife and then could you tell
00:52:41.420 if you're not prosecuting these cases and you're just doing it for public shaming right there's a
00:52:49.640 real discussion to be had as to whether or not it's it's a worthy thing to do okay if these 0.99
00:52:56.440 pedophiles or potential pedophiles do get the shit kicked out of them you could argue they deserve it 0.99
00:53:02.740 but that's not the way i'm going to do it do you think that would be a deterrent more so than 0.99
00:53:07.000 potentially being caught if you know every time you're going to show up to do with some pedophilia 0.97
00:53:11.380 you're going to get your ass beat but that's not how our society works do you think it should work 0.95
00:53:16.760 like that i don't think i think i think i think they should be prosecuted to the fullest extent 0.99
00:53:21.320 of the law yeah sometimes i just think violence can really solve a lot of problems i understand
00:53:26.160 the mindset you know yeah it is it is a school of thought but also at the same time that violence
00:53:30.300 is coming in a much sharper way when they get to jail right but you know what i'm saying like
00:53:33.480 the jail again does does committing a crime to solve a crime really do what we want to achieve
00:53:40.720 in society if if you could group all crime into the same bucket as equal and i understand this is
00:53:47.020 so much nobody's gonna argue more stridently than than i would yeah that this is the among the
00:53:54.000 worst crimes ever conceived or executed because i i wondered this when i'm watching you i get it
00:53:59.140 hit these guys in this room and you're beaming them with questions like no part of you is just
00:54:03.560 so disgusted by this of course it is of course you want to strike them i'm not look in this 0.78
00:54:09.060 particular case and we have uh some video of that interview if you guys decide to to use some of it
00:54:15.420 um there is some compassion for this particular case but there are some just stone cold predators
00:54:21.520 who i have zero uh compassion for lock them up do they ever scare you how are you not fearful
00:54:30.000 i am sometimes i am sometimes you look you can't be brave unless you've experienced fear
00:54:35.220 you know uh but you have to understand the risk to do it um and and i do understand the risk
00:54:43.260 and i do understand what's out there it's it's it's as safe as it possibly could be for what we
00:54:49.340 do and we do have law enforcement presence so you know the first time we did it it was way more
00:54:54.860 risky than the way we do it today yeah i mean chris i would see you in this room with what i
00:55:00.480 would consider a dangerous like unpredictable absolutely but what you what you don't always see
00:55:05.120 are the layers of security that we have in place there too are they are they outside because i
00:55:10.320 never see they're in the house okay what kind of like security or security security both
00:55:15.180 we've had both before we had law enforcement we had individual security because sometimes you get
00:55:20.460 like you get even the decoy will get yeah really close to these well we have a protocol and
00:55:25.680 sometimes you know it's it's impossible to follow it exactly but you'll see me say i need to see
00:55:32.340 your hands or get your hands out of your pocket and and in different jurisdictions we do it
00:55:37.000 differently in some cases if we see that there's a risk law enforcement will take the guy down first
00:55:42.360 do the initial interview then i'll get a chance to talk to the guy it's still very interesting to
00:55:46.780 get inside this guy's head and to see the process of what happened in the chat and the interaction
00:55:51.740 with the decoy this is another question i had sure why do they sit down and converse with you
00:55:57.720 with cameras in their face well like what initially initially they don't see the cameras
00:56:02.480 because it's all on cameras they don't see on hidden cameras so in their mind which is you know
00:56:08.020 spinning at the moment trying to figure out okay is this chris hansen is this a cop is this the
00:56:13.780 bad dad what's going on here they're just trying to figure it out sometimes they know right away
00:56:19.700 it's me and go hey it's chris hansen this is cool it's not that cool son you know have a seat right
00:56:23.680 over there and and i think a couple things happen one they're overwhelmed by being caught and so
00:56:29.740 they're just going to try and talk their way out of it two they know it's me and they figure okay
00:56:33.220 they've seen the show enough times so they know this is the part where they sit and talk to chris 0.59
00:56:37.360 honestly is there a level of that that they're like holy shit i'm about to be on a tv show this
00:56:42.220 yes absolutely i think in some cases that's exactly what happened but yeah but being a 0.98
00:56:49.940 pedophile is bad enough as it is right being a pedophile that is exposed to but they don't see
00:56:55.240 themselves they don't see themselves as a true pedophile they see themselves as as a guy who
00:57:01.700 made a mistake or in their mind they've had time to say well of course they said they're 14 but
00:57:09.000 that was just role playing and so they'll try to like rationalize they've already ran by the time
00:57:13.680 they get there they've already rationalized it they've already thought i think in many cases
00:57:18.100 they've already thought okay this could go wrong for me and if it is law enforcement if this is a
00:57:23.520 sting or it is chris hansen what am i going to say and they've thought this through there's three
00:57:29.040 different scenarios that i want to talk to you about and i want to ask you about here
00:57:33.120 one you just kind of brought to mind um in these kind of weird depravity situations that are filmed
00:57:39.780 there was a a story um of a woman on youtube recently who got caught on a beach masturbating
00:57:46.140 i don't know i didn't see this no so she was actually um the the police body cams they they
00:57:51.760 caught her on the beach she was she had never been arrested before she was just drinking by
00:57:56.100 herself on the beach and was caught masturbating on the beach she was charged for lewd act and the
00:58:02.300 um the story went away the gopro video was released a couple months ago on youtube went
00:58:08.500 viral on tiktok um and she was shamed uh to a point that she actually took her own life
00:58:13.760 um and obviously the story i'm bringing up here is far from a pedophilia situation but it is a
00:58:22.180 just another example of of how these these scenarios being filmed changed the the game
00:58:28.100 And that leads me into this 2008 cancellation, technically, of the show.
00:58:33.420 And if you want to comment on or even talk about it.
00:58:35.700 No, I can tell you all about it.
00:58:36.800 It didn't lead to the cancellation of the show.
00:58:38.720 Somehow that got out there in the public domain.
00:58:40.860 But what happened was we did a sting in Texas.
00:58:43.500 And on a Saturday night, an assistant district attorney had been chatting with two different decoys posting his 13-year-old boys.
00:58:51.440 He was an assistant district attorney.
00:58:53.920 Right?
00:58:55.060 He doesn't show up.
00:58:56.340 But in Texas at the time, the solicitation of a minor for sex qualified as a felony.
00:59:05.660 And the local police department went to go arrest him the next day.
00:59:09.980 We were in the street covering the arrest.
00:59:14.440 They get inside the house, and he's got a laptop that he's been trying to get the hard drive out of.
00:59:20.640 Sees the police coming, has a gun, says, I'm not going to hurt you guys.
00:59:25.300 Shoots himself. Horrible. 0.93
00:59:26.340 You don't want to see that happen.
00:59:27.760 What was on the computer?
00:59:29.800 We later find out that he had multiple images of child pornography.
00:59:35.620 And within the last couple of years, we found out that he had evidence on that computer
00:59:41.180 of wrongdoing by his boss, the elected prosecutor in that county that sent him to federal prison.
00:59:47.000 So there was a lot more going on there than just getting caught in a sting operation.
00:59:52.320 There was the embarrassment of having child porn.
00:59:54.980 And knowing that in Texas at the time, he faced 10 years in state prison for every image of child porn, and what he had on the computer met to the T the definition of child porn in Texas.
01:00:07.860 I know that for a fact.
01:00:09.120 I know that from the Texas Rangers.
01:00:10.840 And I also know from one of the investigating officers at the time that some of that information relating to his boss, the elected DA, sent that elected DA to federal prison.
01:00:21.840 So, you know, there was a lot more going on there than something.
01:00:25.080 Oh, my, I'm embarrassed.
01:00:27.380 Wow.
01:00:27.900 So so I mean, and if it was up to quite honestly, if it was up to us, if we were driving the
01:00:32.940 ship, I would have rather stayed another day in Texas and watched him get arrested at his
01:00:37.800 office in the at the DA's office.
01:00:39.800 It's better television.
01:00:40.580 We merely covered what the police department was doing.
01:00:44.620 Got it.
01:00:45.400 Now, again, don't want to see a guy do that.
01:00:48.620 It's horrible.
01:00:49.600 Any suicide is horrible.
01:00:50.460 But, you know, that's the way it went down.
01:00:55.800 Or some people would argue otherwise.
01:00:57.700 You know, I'm not saying it, but I'm saying some people would argue otherwise.
01:01:01.120 All I'm saying is there was a whole lot more going on there than anybody realized at the time.
01:01:07.180 And people who say that canceled the show, that's just not true.
01:01:10.200 We went on and did a bunch of other investigations afterwards.
01:01:12.720 That was just in my notes.
01:01:13.580 that. Yeah, well, it is because it became a part of the narrative, mostly spread by people who
01:01:20.580 didn't know what the hell they're talking about. Like our producer, Dylan. No, it's out there.
01:01:25.180 It's out there. And there is this feeling that To Catch a Predator was canceled because of that
01:01:30.680 incident. Well, that's not what happened. We went on to do other investigations. And at some point,
01:01:35.520 the show became very expensive for NBC. And NBC had all this great material that they had not
01:01:40.380 aired and they did other versions on msnbc the cable property for years and years and then i
01:01:46.980 went out and did it again for uh crime watch daily and then we do it now for uh my streaming
01:01:53.080 crime network true blue we're talking about your safety quickly and i just want to ask you about
01:01:58.120 this do you remember the show cheaters uh this obviously has to be a part of your safety protocol
01:02:03.440 reasoning so i i i'm aware of the show i'm not sure i know the incident you're so in 2003 the
01:02:09.740 host of the show joey greco boarded a boat of someone who's being accused of cheating on their
01:02:14.720 wife or girlfriend and got stabbed numerous times on the show so i wondered if it's a bad day at work
01:02:21.480 yeah well we you know we have a protocol and you know as best as we can as best as law enforcement
01:02:27.860 can uh they look at the background if this guy's got a history of violent crimes and he's got a
01:02:35.380 license to carry a weapon you know they're going to put in place a different protocol than if it's
01:02:41.040 a guy who's you know 28 and you know works at a place where you wouldn't need a weapon you know
01:02:46.480 just from what i've seen um from your shows and and your overall safety uh do these individuals
01:02:54.780 pedophiles and and violence often go hand in hand typically i feel like they don't typically not
01:03:01.760 because you have somebody who picks on a child oftentimes as a coward yeah this is like a strong 1.00
01:03:07.520 like no aggressive individual no you're trying to stay behind the scenes and do illegal shit 0.99
01:03:11.660 now i'm going to say that and we're going to have some incident the next thing but 0.59
01:03:14.600 but generally i'm i'm i mean facetious to make a point but yeah but that's how life works chris
01:03:19.860 yeah damn exactly but i you know again we take every precaution possible are you prepared to 0.99
01:03:28.380 throw hands with one of these fuckers i would i mean i'm not as good at it as you are yeah be 0.99
01:03:33.200 like six three i could be easy what do you mean as good as as he is look at his face he's got a 1.00
01:03:38.220 shot going on there oh yeah it's all in 17 in the box bro stop stop stop why does everyone think i 0.99
01:03:47.000 lost every fight as i say this with the black eye what the fuck now you won the fight i saw 0.99
01:03:52.800 That's what I know 0.99
01:03:53.980 For sure
01:03:54.380 You look pretty strong
01:03:55.700 In that fight
01:03:56.160 I'm one and one baby
01:03:57.420 Yes
01:03:58.460 Yeah except Kevin Owens
01:04:00.500 Bro I'll never forgive you
01:04:01.960 I'm gonna catch you in court
01:04:04.880 Kevin Owens
01:04:05.500 Drink Prime
01:04:09.780 That's good
01:04:12.040 Thanks
01:04:12.740 Drink Prime 0.99
01:04:14.660 Who makes this?
01:04:17.120 A couple guys
01:04:18.160 I actually prefer credit
01:04:20.880 If I'm being honest 1.00
01:04:21.600 i got cred boys i got cred bitches i got cred i was at as at the wwe event i saw i got cred side 1.00
01:04:28.200 slash or hashtag drink cred have you you know what cred is i i know it's a drink south park 0.99

01:04:40.420 i got cred a full episode it was an honor um i was gonna say you know what's crazy uh when i 0.98
01:04:46.200 invited you to manchester yes for that bit you told me that one of your camera guys was uh like
01:04:52.480 a neighbor of mine oh yeah and i'm like jason jason i go what do you mean a name like who i
01:04:57.260 didn't have that many neighbors growing up and uh it was my next door neighbor at my dad's house
01:05:03.640 growing up his name was jason fraley if i could say his last name dude i we would hang out with
01:05:09.720 this kid all the time for years and years and years now he's one of my camera guys and one of
01:05:14.220 my editors and and so when i was like yeah dude you want to do this he's like yeah i'm bringing
01:05:17.680 your neighbor from like from like when you were 10 we made videos with him my dog bit him once
01:05:22.800 yeah his dad would fix our garage often my dog bit him dude because he was kind of afraid of the
01:05:27.920 dog and this is one of those dogs fraley be a fraley he bit fraley yeah his dad came over and 0.87
01:05:34.340 said to my dad he's like he bit the blood out of him made him bleed he's a bad dog the og would
01:05:39.540 bite the og we don't name the dog deal is that the one that's on the floor no that's yogi
01:05:43.840 oh okay his dad taxidermied one of the dogs and turned it into a rug like a rug it's not a rug 0.99
01:05:48.920 that's fucked up it's just a taxidermy dog who looks like a real dog yeah it's still fucked up 0.99
01:05:55.240 but not as fucked up as making the dog a rug that's that's insane greg greg has his limits 1.00
01:06:00.160 um you ever deal with pedophile ghosts no not that i'm aware of pedophile women 1.00
01:06:06.280 You know what? There have been in the last six months an amazing number of cases of female teachers ranging in age from mid-20s to the 70s accused of inappropriate sexual relationships with underage students.
01:06:25.880 I mean, if you Google that right now, and we've done at least a half dozen stories on True Blue, we do a segment called True Crime Nation, and we've done a lot of these cases, it's shocking.
01:06:39.480 Now, there have always been cases, but I've never in recent history seen as many coming out as I have in the last six months.
01:06:48.720 It is absolutely amazing.
01:06:50.140 And I, there's a case in Tennessee where a woman was accused of having sex with a student.
01:06:56.200 She is the wife of a sheriff's deputy.
01:06:59.960 And some of this allegedly went on in the house.
01:07:02.120 And apparently she's now pregnant with this student's child.
01:07:06.000 And so the guy who's the sheriff's deputy, you know, it's a small town.
01:07:09.980 And so the lawyer representing her used to be a sheriff's deputy as well.
01:07:15.420 i mean it's it's a small world but it's it's like what the heck is going on was this happening
01:07:20.320 before and we don't know about it is it happening more i think kids are becoming more comfortable
01:07:25.120 talking about it um i think there's also been this notion that it's every little boy's dream to
01:07:30.460 you know to get that's definitely true maybe but it doesn't make it right maybe no of course it's
01:07:37.280 not right but like you know i think a lot of young men would tell you have a crush on an older
01:07:42.500 teacher yeah but that doesn't mean the teacher should have sex with them no no of course yeah
01:07:46.060 but no i every boy has crushes on older women that's that's that's natural so is the are the
01:07:52.820 boys in the wrong at all legally they cannot be but you know action-wise maybe they did something
01:08:01.180 that was naughty and they shouldn't have done but i mean legally you can't give consent until
01:08:05.520 you're a certain age so no matter how it goes down it would be the adult's criminal activity
01:08:11.140 You just mentioned it, and I'm shocked how many of these cases there are, especially because they're so public. 1.00
01:08:18.980 What do these women think they're going to get away with? 0.98
01:08:20.840 Yeah, it's gotten to the point where we are commissioning a major documentary at True Blue on this whole subject. 0.95
01:08:28.120 I mean, every week, my producer, Kelly McClure, and I are back and forth, and Sean Reck, who's my partner at True Blue, talking about these things.
01:08:36.460 And I think it's worthy of a major documentary, and we're going to do it.
01:08:39.640 it also brings up a lot of questions around like the the public perception or public sentiment
01:08:45.940 towards women sex offenders versus male sex offenders and how the the how women are viewed
01:08:56.200 in these type of scenarios versus how men are viewed i mean men and i mean even in this room
01:09:01.140 i'm sure we probably look at it with completely different sentiment you know an adult male and 0.99
01:09:05.700 having intercourse with a you know a a non-consenting minor we're like yo let's kill 0.98
01:09:11.880 this person right right now you know it's banding other and kill this person when a female does it 0.91
01:09:15.940 you're like we look at it in a much different light and that that conversation recently has
01:09:20.200 gone viral especially as you see you know it's even strange to say but like when you see some 0.98
01:09:25.480 of these teachers they look like normal no they don't they look like fucking pinup girls some of 0.96
01:09:31.200 are beautiful oh yeah and the funny viral thing on on social media right now it's like where were 0.98
01:09:36.680 these girls do you know what my teachers you know what i'm saying they were 90 years old 1.00
01:09:44.480 the music teacher that taught us how to play piano she was a fucking gremlin 1.00
01:09:48.640 are you serious you didn't have one pretty teacher no there were they were usually like 0.99
01:09:54.720 substitutes because they you know what i'm saying like they had just gotten their masters or
01:09:58.440 whatever they're like 24 25 it was the subs subs were always or the what are they called student
01:10:02.760 teachers yeah student teachers they're like 20 21 whatever you're like you know you're like 14
01:10:07.600 you're like wow she's so hot but like it's it is crazy how much how how differentiated well you 1.00
01:10:14.140 know why and you know why i think i would presume it's just because the inherent nature of sex like
01:10:22.720 how it occurs i'll give you an example where it there was a 13 year old kid in in oregon washington
01:10:28.240 state area who was hanging out with other kids the same age. And there was a 26 year old woman
01:10:33.900 who was pretending to be 15, 16, who was also hanging out. She takes his kid on a wild trip.
01:10:40.860 There's sex and all kinds of stuff. And now the mother, the single mom has the son back in his 0.99
01:10:46.660 young teen years. And she's got to figure out, okay, how do I raise this kid after he's had
01:10:50.300 this crazy experience and the, you know, he's already had sex and everything. And how do I
01:10:54.260 make him realize that's not normal. It's not right. He was taken advantage of. And how do I
01:10:59.600 stop him from taking advantage of somebody? It creates huge issues. This isn't a schoolboy
01:11:07.200 fantasy come true. There's trauma and long lasting effects here. And the law is the law
01:11:13.900 when it comes to consent. So yeah, we're not talking about a 17 year old having sex with a
01:11:19.100 15 year old here. It's not a Romeo and Juliet situation. We would never set up a sting
01:11:23.380 with somebody who is 17 and somebody who's 15.
01:11:27.160 You know, it's even 18-15 is,
01:11:29.740 you have to depend on the circumstances.
01:11:32.600 But, you know, this is different.
01:11:34.760 These are adults who have been educated,
01:11:38.180 who enter into a sexual relationship
01:11:40.760 knowingly with somebody who is not of the age of consent.
01:11:44.960 Would you consider that to be the definition of pedophilia?
01:11:48.380 Well, no, pedophilia has a very specific definition
01:11:52.100 in American psychiatry having to do with a child who's prepubescent.
01:11:57.820 Because that term gets thrown around all the time nowadays.
01:12:01.420 Exactly. 1.00
01:12:01.920 A pedo, pedophile. 0.99
01:12:02.900 But technically, that's the definition, simplified. 0.98
01:12:09.260 And we always use the word predator because it's more appropriate
01:12:13.260 and more accurate in terms of what we're investigating.
01:12:16.800 Got it.
01:12:18.320 Do you think this is going to be your life mission?
01:12:20.960 is this what you're going to be known for is this what you want to do for the rest of your life well
01:12:24.220 it's it's going to be a part of it you know we do a lot of different documentaries all in the crime
