00:00:00.000Hi, it's John and welcome to the channel. Great to have you along. 359 a.m. Saturday,
00:00:08.080October the 10th. I hope you're having a fantastic weekend, a great Saturday. I hope you're not
00:00:13.560getting snow. We're expecting some in Calgary today. Shouldn't hang around, but snow. This
00:00:19.180is what you get when you live in the shadow of the Rocky Mountains, which I would never
00:00:22.700give up for anything, but I don't like snow. I hope you're having a good day today. I hate
00:00:27.040to do this to you. I really do. I hate to do this to you. But if somebody isn't pointing out what
00:00:32.760the hell is going on here in a more simplistic way, which I try to do here, I don't want to get
00:00:37.580too complex because that kind of, I used to have a teacher that would put on the blackboard when
00:00:42.700they used to have blackboards. I think most schools now have screens and stuff. We used to
00:00:46.640have a blackboard. He used to put the letters BSBB on the screen. Anybody know what that means?
00:00:51.420It means bullshit baffles brains. Okay. So let's keep this simplistic today. At times on this1.00
00:00:57.020channel, I have discussed the managed decline of Canada. In fact, I checked, I did this video right
00:01:03.860here on August 25th, 2025. I believe I talked about it prior to that. Here's another one I did
00:01:09.860about five or six months ago talking about managed decline of Canada. And this is what's going on in
00:01:15.440the country right now. Okay. It is a managed decline. It's sort of, it happens slowly and
00:01:20.980then all at once it hits you. Okay. And the reason I'm talking about this today is because this kind
00:01:26.160the stuff hits you right in the face when you see articles like this in the National Post.
00:01:31.380Seven Canadian provinces trail behind most U.S. states on economic performance, according to a
00:01:36.660study from the Fraser Institute. I'll read a bit of this to you, not a lot. This video is not going
00:01:41.760to be very long. A new study comparing economic performance in all of the Canadian provinces and
00:01:46.740U.S. states has found that of the 60 jurisdictions, seven of the 10 lowest ranking are in Canada.
00:01:52.560The research by the Fraser Institute looked at living standards, incomes, private sector employment, and labor productivity to compare the economic growth of the two countries.
00:02:01.920It found that in every category, Canadians have fallen further behind Americans.
00:02:07.340In 2024, the most recent year of comparable data, seven of the ten lowest rates of gross domestic product GDP per person were Canadian provinces.
00:02:16.760New Brunswick ranked lowest, followed by Prince Edward Island at 59, Nova Scotia, 58, Manitoba,
00:02:22.36056, Quebec, 55, Newfoundland, Labrador, 52, and Ontario, 51. BC was 49th, while Saskatchewan was
00:02:30.36035th. And Alberta, the only province in the top half, ranked 25th. You know what I find fascinating
00:02:35.220about Alberta always rising to the top? And we'll see this again with something else. And another
00:02:39.740statistic in just a moment, the people who say the, are saying the independence movement will
00:02:44.940hurt Alberta. People will not want to come here. It will hurt investment. It's been the opposite,
00:02:50.100ladies and gentlemen. We're always at the top. Now, we could have our roads paved in gold
00:02:55.680if it weren't for Canada. Alberta is doing really good despite Canada. Can you imagine what we do
00:03:02.100if we could get Canada out of the way? Let's move on. I digress. For comparison, in 1999,
00:03:07.480six Canadian provinces ranked among the bottom 10 in terms of GDP per person, while Alberta,
00:03:13.780which has remained Canada's top-ranked province, was seventh highest. Isn't that fascinating?
00:03:19.580Now, about a week ago, I put up a video by Victor Davis Hanson. I just wanted people to see how an
00:03:25.200American really understood what was going on here in Canada. 250,000 people have watched that video.
00:03:31.260I'm stunned. I imagine a bunch of people with their elbows up were looking and their jaws dropped out
00:03:36.480when they realized what was really going on in Canada, the managed decline. And here's a short
00:03:42.540little clip from that video, Victor Davis Hanson.
00:03:45.520If Canada was a state right now, its GDP would be below Mississippi. It'd be 51%. Its per capita
00:03:54.660income is $30,000 plus less than ours. Its per family per capita income is even lower.
00:04:04.140Out of all the major industrial nations, everyone, last year they had the lowest rate of economic
00:04:09.280growth and per family median income. Canada did. I mean, here's an American that understands what's
00:04:17.240going on. Here's a graph that accompanied that story I just showed you. At the turn of the 21st
00:04:22.260century, living standards were 10,766 higher in the U.S. than in Canada. By 2024, that gap had
00:04:29.120more than doubled to 23,757. The Americans are up here. And this is in Canadian dollars, ladies and0.77
00:04:34.820gentlemen. Now, what were some of the comments or reaction to this article that we were just
00:04:40.420talking about a moment ago? This one right here. Here's a typical one from the average mediocre
00:04:45.080Canadian. They're now making excuses for us falling behind because, well, we'll get to that0.99
00:04:49.760in just a moment. Here's Lisa, why anyone is even looking into Canadian provinces like we were
00:04:55.200associated with the USA disturbs me. Now, she goes on to say that we're different countries,
00:04:59.740But now they're starting to make excuses for Canada's managed decline.
