00:00:00.000 Hi, I'm John, and this is my message to Ottawa.
00:00:09.520 Voting Option 2 on October 19th does not mean Alberta is leaving Canada.
00:00:15.760 Option 2 is about almost $200 billion in lost investment in Alberta over the last 11 years because of Ottawa.
00:00:23.560 It's about 25 billion dollars of your money going to Ottawa every year to be
00:00:29.800 squandered by provincial and federal politicians. It's about our Western votes
00:00:34.720 being counted in elections but ultimately rendered meaningless as the 0.76
00:00:39.220 East dictates the rules. It's about our resources being locked in the ground and 0.97
00:00:47.260 Albertans who are proud hard-working people having to grovel and beg to
00:00:52.060 Ottawa to get them out. It's about 40 long years of saying the West wants in, only to have career
00:00:59.860 politicians tell us it will happen if we maintain the status quo. I'm voting option two on October
00:01:07.640 19th because the other option means more of the same. My name is John and that's my message.
00:01:22.060 Hi, it's John and welcome to the Independence Calendar, Sunday, October the 11th. Great
00:01:29.640 to have you along, I believe. You know, I've lost track. I've lost track a few times. I
00:01:35.380 think I'm at episode number 38 now. Wow. One more before we vote on October the 19th. 38
00:01:44.000 episodes. It's been lots of fun. You know, I remember when I first started doing this,
00:01:48.300 it would have been back at the beginning of the year, I believe. I started asking people
00:01:51.600 to send pictures of them when it came to signing petitions. And I got lots of those. I've got more
00:01:56.720 pictures today. I've got pictures of people with flags. A lot of people sending me AI stuff. I try
00:02:01.880 to shy away from that because it's too easy. I like playing with AI as well. But if everybody
00:02:07.160 got on here with their AI stuff, my picture segment would go on forever. So I try to stay
00:02:13.260 away from AI. Lots of pictures of flags and signs and signs and flags and people with signs and
00:02:19.220 legs today, so that's coming up in just a bit. Also, I thought, what am I going to put on this
00:02:25.700 episode of the Independence Calendar? Generally, there's some type of interview. I don't have an
00:02:31.020 interview, but I've got something special for you this week. You remember the telethon? We raised
00:02:35.920 $150,000 during the telethon. I put together a clip of last year's legislature rally of all the
00:02:44.440 speakers that were there, just short. I think it's about eight minutes long, and it didn't get a lot
00:02:49.100 to play during the telethon. I thought it might, but we didn't use it very much. I'm going to play
00:02:53.000 that for you. Now, some of you will be going, and I hope all of you are going to the legislature
00:02:57.240 this coming Saturday at three o'clock. I will be there. I'll be the master of ceremonies. It's
00:03:02.000 going to be a great day and a fun day and an informative day. And it's going to be a rally
00:03:07.640 to end all rallies in Alberta. But if you can't go, I'll play you some clips of the speakers
00:03:13.080 from last year's rally on October the 25th, if I remember correctly. So that'll be at the end of
00:03:17.960 this. I think you'll really enjoy that a little bit from each speaker. Also, we do have your
00:03:23.460 pictures coming up in just a moment and the events that are happening, including the rally I just
00:03:28.220 discussed. So there's a few things that have been going on I want to get into. I do want to tell
00:03:33.640 you that we do have advanced voting coming up. You can go over to elections.ab.ca, link in the
00:03:41.220 description, and it's got this basically on the homepage. If you go over there with all of the
00:03:46.140 information, you've got any questions about what's going on and where to vote, things like that.
00:03:51.440 Remember, advance voting day is October 13th to 17th, and I will be going out on Tuesday. That
00:03:57.680 is on Tuesday, the first day, and I'm going to go out early because I think it's going to be busy
00:04:02.780 every day of advance voting, but I think the 19th will be insane. So you might want to go out for
00:04:09.200 advance voting. If you're looking for voting locations or want more information, all the
00:04:13.600 information is elections.ab.ca. That's where to go. I could go through it all here, but this video
00:04:19.300 would go on forever. Now, something happened on Friday that's got a lot of people's knickers in a
00:04:25.880 twist, if I can use that. We got this in. Now, I'm not going to show you the whole document, but
00:04:30.720 this is a general gist. This was sent to me by my friend Jason Levine. I took all of his personal
00:04:36.240 information, which was on this page. He took it off, so he didn't get his phone number and all
00:04:40.480 that stuff. I don't think he's concerned. I think it's just his general, the Levine show
00:04:44.520 information. But this was sent out and it said, pursuant to section 6.24 of the referendum general
00:04:52.080 regulation, they've determined that third party advertiser scrutineers will not be authorized to
00:04:56.960 observe or perform scrutineer duties at voting places or counting places during the referendum.
00:05:02.860 Here's another part of that document. This isn't the whole thing, but generally what it comes down
00:05:07.320 to say is they don't have space. So there won't be any third-party advertisers on scene to
00:05:15.560 scrutineer, meaning it would only be the United Conservative Party and the NDP that would have
00:05:20.740 scrutineers there, both of which are in favor of option one. This has got people a little bit
00:05:27.400 upset. You've seen a lot of the third-party advertisers, their leads, basically, people
00:05:32.640 like Cory Morgan and whatnot, commenting on this. John Tompkinson, United Alberta Flags,
00:05:37.880 Jason Levine himself, and others, Keith Wilson, concerned about this. And you're probably
00:05:43.980 concerned as well. It seems like this has been pretty much mismanaged by Elections Alberta from
00:05:48.800 the beginning. Been a lot of problems, including the Thomas LeCasic thing, which seems to have
00:05:53.580 worked its way out, but way too late, ladies and gentlemen. We still don't know where he's got all
00:05:57.560 of his money. There's been a lot of things, and the fact that they dropped this document on all
00:06:03.000 the third-party advertisers on Friday at six o'clock, that's where you dump stuff you don't
00:06:08.380 want anybody to talk about. That's what government does. You dump it into the weekend, and this
00:06:14.160 happens to be a long Thanksgiving weekend, so nobody talks about it, but I'm just going to say
00:06:19.380 this to you. I have a feeling. It's kind of deep in my soul. I have a feeling that something is
00:06:25.840 going to be done about this. I just have a feeling. I know the people who are involved.
00:06:30.660 I don't think they're going to let this stand. So we'll have to see what happens over the next
00:06:34.000 couple of days. If this bothers you, have a little comfort in knowing that there's some
00:06:39.780 good people in charge here. I think something's going to happen with this. I'm just going to show
00:06:44.240 you this quickly. A lot of you have seen this. I want to make sure that you want to have a problem
00:06:49.020 with the audio here. But you've seen this right here. You saw this. Oh, let me bring it up on
00:07:01.100 the screen. I'm sorry. Let me bring this up. There it is. You've seen this Oilers fan being ejected
00:07:06.520 because he had an Alberta flag. You know, it's like it's some kind of a hate symbol now,
00:07:13.600 which is just awful. There's the flag right there. I love this flag, ladies and gentlemen.
00:07:17.260 This is my country. That's my flag from my country right there. It's not a hate symbol.
00:07:22.760 But this kind of stuff that happens, it's ridiculous. I saw this online. Somebody posted 0.88
00:07:28.820 this. At Roger's place where this happened, signs, flags, or banners exceeding 11 inches
00:07:36.040 are attached to a pole or stick. Signs must be relevant to the event. Well, we're in Alberta,
00:07:41.580 for God's sake. Signs may not contain or display obscene or offensive language. Just don't have
00:07:46.060 it on a pole, keep it small and bring your flags and go out there and just wave it in the face of
00:07:50.460 the authorities, but keep it peaceful, you know, because this kind of stuff really bothers us.
00:07:56.260 Now, I do want to talk about my hat. All right. Just for a second. I don't normally do this.
00:08:00.780 I do have the Big Blue Mugs store now. And you know what? I'm really disappointed in this hat.
00:08:06.280 I'm going to take it off this list. If you're interested in getting one of these shirts,
00:08:10.200 I've got these shirts right here. I got one right here. Albertan period. And notice,
00:08:15.500 notice the period. Hey, check it out. Pretty cool. Yeah, that's Alberta, but I've got these
00:08:21.460 shirts, hoodies and stuff. And actually somebody sent me a picture. They got the mug. So I'm going
00:08:26.440 to show you that a little later on, but this is the hat right here. Don't buy this hat. I'm taking
00:08:31.080 this out of the store. It's just not very good. I'm kind of disappointed in it. You know, you want
00:08:36.320 a little bit more, be a little more firm. Does this hat look much like the hat you see right
00:08:41.300 here? It doesn't, it's not quite the same. Buy this one. If you're going to get it, it's cheaper.
00:08:44.660 Anyway, I'm taking this one out of the store as soon as I'm doing this today.
00:08:48.040 And I'm going to put some more stuff up here as well.
00:08:50.700 I've got a real cool one that talks about liberals.
00:08:53.120 We'll have to see if the store and where they sell this stuff from will actually have the shirt I want to pull it up because it's very critical of liberals.
00:09:02.200 All right.
00:09:02.620 So I don't want to show you what it is right now, but it's really cool.
00:09:06.520 I've mentioned it to a few people, but I'll probably be putting more people up in the store.
00:09:10.480 So let's right now check out what's going on this week as we get into the final swing towards the referendum on October 19th.
00:09:22.300 We're into the last week, folks, or the last eight or nine days, I guess we could say.
00:09:27.560 We've got some events coming up, big one coming up next weekend on Saturday.
00:09:32.180 More on that in just a moment, how you can get there, how you need to be there.
00:09:37.000 Let's start off with our good friend Chris Scott and our friends at Let's Talk Alberta,
00:09:41.560 letstalkalberta.com.
00:09:43.120 Thanks to Chris.
00:09:43.780 He's been out in his big RV, his big bus going all around the province, visiting people.
00:09:48.780 I've got some of those pictures coming up in our pictures in just a moment.
00:09:52.800 But letstalkalberta.com is the website, some upcoming events, few things this week.
00:09:57.660 Things are winding down, folks.
00:09:59.600 I'll tell you more about this one in just a moment, which I will be at.
00:10:03.580 This is coming up at the Gilby Hall, 7 o'clock.
00:10:06.620 Uh, the date on this one is on October the 14th. Uh, you can check this out. Ben Trudeau,
00:10:12.080 Ben Crane, great peoples, a couple of Ben's along with Chris at this one. So check that one out.
00:10:17.540 And this should be interesting as well. And I guess we should thanks, uh, thank Dwayne Bratt
00:10:22.160 for going out there and, and speaking on behalf of the other side, this will be somewhat of a
00:10:27.160 debate. I don't think it says much about a debate on there, but Dwayne is definitely a stay in
00:10:31.620 Canada type. So check this event coming up on Thursday. Dwayne Bratt with Chris Scott. Let's
00:10:37.540 talk Alberta with this at Habibi's Banquet Hall in Northeast Calgary. That should be a lot of fun.
00:10:42.620 Check that one out. It's going to be great. Now moving along to my friends at the Alberta Women
00:10:47.340 for Independence. There's my friend. What a great photo, by the way, Angela. Angela and all her
00:10:52.080 friends. This is down in Waterton, beautiful area. The hidden gem of Alberta is Waterton. I think
00:10:58.180 There's me. There's me. I was in Cardston with her not long ago. Got the big blue mug there.
00:11:03.060 So they've got a few events still coming up. More, if you'd like to have them come to you,
00:11:07.620 you can book an AWIN party, Alberta Women for Independence. You can connect with them at
00:11:12.340 abwomensindependencenetwork.com. Okay, abwomensindependencenetwork.com. This event coming
00:11:20.520 up on the 13th in Lethbridge from 7 until 9.30 at the Polish Hall. So check that one out.
00:11:26.360 This is the event I was talking to you about on the Let's Talk Alberta site.
00:11:30.040 I'm going to be the master of ceremonies at this coming up on Tuesday at the Astoria Banquet Hall here in Calgary.
00:11:36.680 Great lineup of speakers.
00:11:38.420 Again, Chris Scott will be there.
00:11:40.180 Keith, Tanya, Ben Crane again.
00:11:42.460 I hope he brings his guitar.
00:11:44.280 He's fantastic.
00:11:45.500 Kathy, Corey Morgan as well.
00:11:47.480 Things aren't quite right in Alberta.
00:11:49.440 People are struggling.
00:11:50.260 What changes can be made to fix that?
00:11:52.120 And you can join all these people.
00:11:53.800 Doors open at 530.
00:11:55.180 Hope to see you there. My friend Jason Levine, back with some great people, all wonderful people.
00:12:01.320 Jason's been going around, and he had a number of events where they were talking about a possible
00:12:05.940 constitution, three different types, and you're going to get that from Bruce Party, Dennis Calma,
00:12:10.160 and Matthew Raleigh. Terrific speakers, wonderful to listen to. This is coming up on Wednesday night.
00:12:16.000 Go to thelevineshow.com, and you can book your tickets for this. You can get into the VIP tickets
00:12:22.440 as well. VIP tickets are 60 bucks. General admission, $30. I'll be at this one as well.
00:12:27.120 Hope to see you on Wednesday, October 14th. That's going to be a fun one. Here's Jason's
00:12:31.640 website, by the way. And if you go down here, you just go down, you can buy your tickets
00:12:35.420 to that event. My friend Tyson up in Edmonton, he's been working so hard. Great guy. This event
00:12:41.180 is coming up Sunday, October 18th. Mitch will be there, Kathy, Sean Hamm, Jeff Gooderham. And this
00:12:47.140 is more of a religious type thing, but this is coming up the day before the referendum. You know,
00:12:53.740 a lot of people sending me pictures, faith, freedom, family. That's the kind of thing this
00:12:57.340 is about. And check that one out, this provincial Zoom prayer. And you can get the link at 780-690-5478
00:13:06.320 if you'd like to be part of that. Of course, this event is coming up on Saturday. I will be the
00:13:10.160 master of ceremonies at this. I'm absolutely honored that I will be there. It is going to be
00:13:15.120 an amazing lineup of speakers.
00:13:16.960 Here they are right here for you.
00:13:18.420 Keith, Tanya, Corey, Dennis Kalma.
00:13:21.840 Dennis is one of those guys that he's an incredibly brilliant guy.
00:13:25.580 Doesn't do a lot of events, but I'm telling you,
00:13:27.720 he's working hard always behind the scene for Alberta independence.
00:13:31.400 Become a good friend of mine.
00:13:32.540 Chris Scott, Adam, Derek, Berta Proud Dad, Madison and Macy,
00:13:36.720 Home with Homes, and you.
00:13:38.800 You're going to be the star of this event.
00:13:40.600 You need to be at the Alberta legislature next Saturday,
00:13:44.000 or this coming Saturday, I guess we're into this new week, October 17th.
00:13:48.020 Buses are still available for some places.
00:13:51.100 Go to letalbertadecide.com forward slash rally hyphen bus to go to that.
00:13:56.540 And here it is right here.
00:13:58.380 More on at letalbertadecide.com.
00:14:02.200 And also, I would like to thank everybody for sending in different events.
00:14:06.900 If you've got anything coming up, I'm thinking I'm going to have
00:14:11.020 one more independence calendar before the big vote.
00:14:14.000 coming up on the 19th. So that'll be next weekend. So if you've got anything interesting happening
00:14:18.400 on that day, be sure to send them to me, johnboltonab at gmail.com.
00:14:29.600 So here we go with your pictures once again, maybe next week, keep them coming. If you've
00:14:34.240 got some more this week, maybe next week, because I'll take all the pictures I've received over the
00:14:38.480 last couple of months and put them all into one long montage, back to back to back. I think that
00:14:43.540 will be a lot of fun. Thanks to all of you for sending in your pictures and some of you send
00:14:48.500 them in every week. I do appreciate that. And we've got a good group of pictures for you this
00:14:52.780 week. Hopefully they come up in order and I try to sort them out in my MacBook and sometimes they
00:14:57.680 get messed up. I try to sort them according to name. So you might see a couple of names pop up
00:15:02.700 at different times through this. Got these from Ron in the Philippines. Thanks to Ron for check
00:15:08.060 this out. Bay Bay City. Thanks, Ron, with your Alberta independent stuff there. Here's another
00:15:13.400 one for you. Terrific. Looks like nice weather there. We're getting snow in Calgary today.
00:15:19.120 Yeah, I woke up. There was white stuff on the ground. Here's another one with Ron right there.
00:15:22.640 Thank you, Ron. I hope you're enjoying yourself in the Philippines. I wish I could be with you,
00:15:27.400 buddy. I really do. Here's Mike with Chris in Redwater. Chris has been going around with his
00:15:33.240 RV. Mike, thanks for sending me this picture. You're meeting a great guy there. Isn't that
00:15:37.820 a beautiful wrap they've got on that RV as well? Just look at that. That's our province. That's
00:15:43.980 our country, ladies and gentlemen, right there. Tammy sent this one to me. Thanks, Tammy, with
00:15:48.260 her friends, with the jackets on, getting cool out there. I was out with Corey Morgan, dropped by. He
00:15:53.120 was at the Auburn Bay Dog Walk Park here. I went over there. He's handing out some signs and whatnot,
00:15:57.860 and it was cold, about two degrees when I went out there yesterday. Now, I think this is a
00:16:04.920 wonderful, this is the winner of the week. Now, all the pictures are great, but check this out.
00:16:08.800 Dale says this is his reasons, the reasons he wants Alberta independence, three of them. Check
00:16:13.520 this picture out. That is adorable. Thank you so much for this picture. I do appreciate it. Now,
00:16:19.300 this is brilliant. This is from Lisa. So Lisa sends me a note saying she goes around and she
00:16:26.780 writes on the road in chalk, so it's not damaging anything. As soon as it rains, it disappears.
00:16:31.940 She's writing this at intersections on the road. This is brilliant, Lisa. Look at this.
00:16:38.860 This is, I just think this is great. Well done to Lisa. Buy some chalk, write this on the roads
00:16:47.520 for the next couple of weeks. You're not vandalizing anything, unlike the other people
00:16:51.640 who are doing this to our signs. I think I've got a couple of those pictures here. Okay, I'm
00:16:55.900 going to show those to you in just a moment. Tammy and Airdrie, thanks for this with the kids. Love
00:17:00.440 it. Let all burn it aside, ladies and gentlemen. You betcha. Over here, we've got Jeff Freddie at
00:17:05.980 Freddie's Corner. Jeff, thank you for all your pictures, by the way. Thanks for all the pictures
00:17:10.980 at Freddie's Corner. I think you were sending me stuff from petitions at Freddie's Corner way back
00:17:15.500 into January, so thanks. Here's Sue Harsh at Freddie's Corner. Outstanding. Look at that. 1.00
00:17:21.160 Beautiful blue sign, beautiful blue flag, beautiful blue sky here in Alberta. 0.51
00:17:28.420 Over here, a Mervin.
00:17:29.700 Now, what Mervin has done, I think I've got another picture of Mervin coming up here.
00:17:33.080 He's got solar lights in a box for educational pamphlets on his fence.
00:17:37.240 Check this out.
00:17:38.540 So you can see over here, pension questions answered, information pamphlets.
00:17:43.160 You can pick them up with his sign.
00:17:44.560 But check this out.
00:17:45.320 This actually is very impressive and beautiful, Mervin.
00:17:48.100 It looks terrific.
00:17:48.980 It just looks magnificent. Thanks for sending that to us. Wayne and Stetler. Wayne showing
00:17:55.880 respect to our flag? I did this just before the telethon. I appreciate that, Wayne. He's preparing
00:18:02.160 for the independence rally. Thank you, sir. Make Alberta great again, ladies and gentlemen,
00:18:06.560 strong and free. More from Tammy and Airdrie out there doing a flag wave. My Spidey senses
00:18:12.280 are tingling. Spidey supports Alberta independence. Another one. There he is.
00:18:17.600 Great suit, by the way.
00:18:19.180 That's an excellent costume.
00:18:20.860 Thank you so much.
00:18:22.300 Okay, we got a whole bunch of them.
00:18:23.780 My friend Wade sent me these from Innisfail.
00:18:27.000 There's one for you right there.
00:18:29.040 There's one there.
00:18:30.460 Okay, good stuff.
00:18:32.100 Right in front of the co-op.
00:18:33.540 What have they got?
00:18:34.080 Oh, they got a Forever Canadian sign.
00:18:36.100 They're standing right in front of it.
00:18:37.200 Well done.
00:18:37.980 I appreciate that.
00:18:39.140 Get out there and represent for us.
00:18:41.520 Unhappy with the status quo.
00:18:43.200 Vote option two.
00:18:44.140 Thank you for that.
00:18:45.640 Gary sent me this one as well.
00:18:48.000 What else have we got here?
00:18:49.160 More Innisfail pictures.
00:18:50.220 This is Innisfail.
00:18:51.480 They put the signs right up around the Forever Canadian sign.
00:18:55.280 It looks pitiful there.
00:18:57.180 Vote for Alberta October 13th to 17th and the 19th.
00:19:01.020 Thanks for reminding us about those advanced polling days as well.
00:19:04.720 Another one from Innisfail.
00:19:06.520 Look at those people.
00:19:08.500 Fantastic.
00:19:09.140 I love seeing it.
00:19:09.800 Another one from my friend Gary.
00:19:11.080 There you go.
00:19:11.880 Great photo, by the way.
00:19:13.060 Nice and crisp and clear.
00:19:15.040 terrific one out there on the street. Look, all this traffic seeing this. This is terrific. And
00:19:19.940 I have no doubt they're getting a lot of thumbs up standing out there on the street. Gary sent
00:19:23.800 me this one as well. Great picture again. Awesome. And what do we got down here? Now,
00:19:29.300 somebody sent this into me west of Edmonton on the highway. I'm actually going to look into this.
00:19:33.780 Now, this is on a, might be a provincial, maybe a city sign. They put a no to the nine sign on a
00:19:42.000 city sign. I don't know whether you can do that. So I'm going to get in touch with the city of
00:19:45.860 Edmonton. I've sent an email back to the person who sent me this picture. Was this on a provincial
00:19:50.080 road or a city road? Is this a, I guess it's a city sign. So maybe we'll find out if they can
00:19:55.620 actually do this. I don't think they can. There's specific rules for putting up signs. Then again,
00:20:00.120 you've got some more, you know, vandalism like this. I think this was in Camrose, right? Yeah,
00:20:05.840 Camrose, right? This has happened a lot in my neighborhood. They put Trump on there for some
00:20:10.740 reason, as if we've got anything to do with Donald Trump. They've got Trump derangement syndrome,
00:20:14.980 ladies and gentlemen. There's another one right there for you. But these signs get replaced
00:20:18.780 immediately. We don't allow these to go up for very long. This is your polite, tolerant Canadians
00:20:25.740 doing this, ladies and gentlemen. Polite and tolerant. Ken in Edmonton sent this to me. Thank
00:20:30.280 you so much. I love the umbrella. I've not seen one of those. That is terrific. Love the umbrella.
00:20:39.680 Great.
00:20:40.420 I kind of glance at these pictures when I save them, but that's a good one.
00:20:44.280 Over here, another one, Ken in Edmonton.
00:20:46.300 No New Kearney's New World Order, Alberta Sovereignty Now.
00:20:49.060 Thank you for that.
00:20:50.660 We've got Jeff and Freddy's Corner.
00:20:52.760 One week ago, and Happy Thanksgiving.
00:20:54.820 Thanks so much.
00:20:55.500 Happy Thanksgiving to everybody this weekend out there with the flag.
00:20:59.460 You know, it's been amazing.
00:21:00.700 You hate when it's windy out there.
00:21:02.240 But when I was out on the Bouncy Castle Day months and months ago, this would be back.
00:21:07.140 was it? Might've been May. I think it was, it was windy, but the flags are just like this and they
00:21:12.800 look beautiful. Uh, Jackie from Cochran. I love the lens flare. Isn't that great? Very effective,
00:21:18.740 beautiful area in Cochran. Go there all the time. There's Jackie with Chris and Cochran.
00:21:25.360 Look at these people. They're all happy. Unlike the people who put graffiti on our signs, right?
00:21:30.980 They're all happy. They want something better. Hey, there's my good friend, Busker. Busker James
00:21:37.700 with his wife, Edith. These are, they come over to my place quite often. Hi guys. Hope you're
00:21:41.420 having a great day. Great group of people here. Thanks so much for this picture. Another one from
00:21:45.600 Jackie and Cochran. Lots of dogs representing. Look at the kerchief around the dog's neck.
00:21:51.180 Outstanding. Okay. I'm going to come back to these pictures over here. Another vandalized sign. Bob
00:21:56.840 sent this to me. Bob, thank you for all the pictures you send me. But these get replaced,
00:22:00.780 folks. They get replaced. Check this one out. I love this. Look, is this the highest sign in
00:22:07.700 Alberta or flag in Alberta and sign in Alberta? I love this. Terrific picture. That was sent by
00:22:13.900 Kirk and Bob in high level. We've got this one here. There's my friend Wade. The West wants out.
00:22:20.740 That was sent in by Denise. Another one of my good friend Wade from Sylvan Lake. This is me with
00:22:25.940 Petrina. Everybody calls her pet. We were at a Jason Levine event. That was the one where Bruce
00:22:31.820 Party was debating Stockwell Day and Bruce wiped the floor with him. And here's Wade again.
00:22:40.160 Okay. And we got this one here. Mike, thanks for this picture, Mike. I love the signs. Love the
00:22:44.480 flag. Thanks for that. And I want to thank Daryl for sending in this. This is the mug you can get
00:22:49.320 at my store. Blue, my cat down here is going crazy. Blue is caught up in the wires. Blue, 0.77
00:22:54.200 are you okay oh yeah he's caught up come on come on come on let me see don't unplug oh yeah oh he's
00:23:00.740 oh he's really caught up blue he had the wires there he is he had the wires wrapped around
00:23:11.040 you're getting in trouble
00:23:14.180 oh say hi to everybody say hi huh there you go i hope it doesn't unplug it
00:23:24.420 okay i think i lost my microphone now oh goodness now i lost my microphone
00:23:29.620 let me put on another microphone here we go it's somewhere over there now
00:23:34.260 anyway let me bring this back up on the screen this is the mug that i've got in my store and
00:23:41.840 I'd like to thank, who was it again? Let me go over here again. Let me see. Now, Blue, you've
00:23:49.280 caused all kinds of problems for me here, buddy. There we go. That was from Daryl. Thanks for
00:23:54.300 sending this in, Daryl. I appreciate it. My big blue mug on a mug with blue on the inside. I love
00:24:00.580 it with my cat, Blue, showing up at exactly the same time. There it is right there. Daryl, thank
00:24:05.500 you so much for sending this picture in. It was kind of a catastrophe. Where'd my microphone go?
00:24:11.420 I hope you can hear me okay, because Blue took my microphone.
00:24:14.900 It might be attached to his fur right now.
00:24:16.840 Anyway, thanks for all your pictures.
00:24:18.420 I do appreciate it.
00:24:21.120 It's got to roll with it when this kind of stuff happens.
00:24:23.600 If you've got any pictures, we've got one week to go.
00:24:25.820 We've got another independence calendar coming up one week from today,
00:24:31.560 and that will be on the 18th, one day before the official voting day.
00:24:34.720 Don't forget, you can vote 13th to 17th.
00:24:37.100 I'm going to an advanced poll.
00:24:38.520 Send your pictures to me, johnboltonab at gmail.com.
00:24:45.100 Look at the trouble you caused, buddy.
00:24:49.780 It's morning again in the West and Alberta is waking from a long, dark night.
00:24:55.520 Today, Albertans go to work knowing their democratic vote for independence
00:24:59.000 allows them to take home more of what they earn.
00:25:02.620 Young people and married couples feel comfortable and secure
00:25:05.920 in knowing they now can afford a home.
00:25:08.520 something they thought unthinkable just a short while ago.
00:25:12.520 Today's senior citizens feel more secure,
00:25:15.520 with an independent Alberta providing more for them than ever before.
00:25:20.520 And with Alberta keeping more of its wealth,
00:25:22.520 and unfettered by the unfair government in Ottawa,
00:25:25.520 Albertans are building hospitals, schools and pipelines
00:25:29.520 and look forward with optimism for the future.
00:25:33.520 It's morning again in the West,
00:25:35.520 a single mark on a ballot for independence,
00:25:37.520 independence, and Albertans are more confident, prosperous, and free.
00:25:48.980 Okay, so hopefully we have the wheels back on this thing after my cat Blue showed up,
00:25:56.360 but that was kind of fun, wasn't it? Oh God, I love my cats. So what we're going to do right
00:26:00.260 now is we're going to show you, not an interview this week, I put this together for the telethon
00:26:05.020 way back when. It was a great day. 12 hours, $150,000 was raised that day. A lot of third-party
00:26:11.280 advertisers brought in some money. And I put together a number of little features for that
00:26:16.600 day. This video you're about to watch right now was played, I think, maybe once in 12 hours. So
00:26:22.000 you probably haven't seen this. But I went back to the legislature rally back last October the 25th
00:26:27.860 and I featured just a little bit, maybe a minute, from each of the speakers that were there that day.
00:26:33.280 So let's watch that right now on the Independence Calendar.
00:26:40.640 Wow, what a fantastic crowd.
00:26:46.100 There are thousands of our fellow Albertans here today.
00:26:50.460 Thank you for being at the largest ever rally for Alberta sovereignty in Alberta's history.
00:26:56.780 we are at an inflection point ladies and gentlemen a time in history where we have a choice 0.68
00:27:08.940 and that choice is do we continue to be subservient to ottawa and the enslavement by our federal 0.58
00:27:17.380 government or do we chart or do we chart a new path forward to freedom and prosperity
00:27:24.580 through independence. We have the leverage. We have the power. We have the ability to empower
00:27:35.300 our provincial government to be able to, for the first time in history, negotiate a new sovereign
00:27:43.100 Alberta from a position of strength. And that position of strength comes from a successful
00:27:48.640 referendum on alberta sovereignty albertans it's time we face the truth ottawa's system cannot be
00:27:56.320 fixed from within every path to fairness is blocked by design every single year we lose between 20 and
00:28:05.200 28 billion dollars in equalization payments that's about 6 000 per alberton or for an average family
00:28:13.520 of four that's 24 000 your family gives away to ottawa for no services in return
00:28:26.400 that's money that you earned and money you'll never see again
00:28:31.360 but after all these things they have not yet broken our spirit alberta is not getting a fair
00:28:39.440 deal in canada right now and here's the truth if we actually want real change the kind that means
00:28:46.640 opening up the constitution that's nearly impossible for albertans to do on our own
00:28:51.840 but if we vote yes in a sovereignty referendum that changes everything suddenly alberta is not
00:29:01.360 begging to be heard we'd be negotiating from a position of strength for the first time in our
00:29:07.920 history and when that happens when we vote yes to sovereignty ottawa will listen i'm told
00:29:16.080 constantly on my channel fringe there is no way you can vote your way out of this mess
00:29:21.760 i beg to differ
00:29:26.240 alberta you've been handed a golden ticket you've been given a golden opportunity
00:29:30.160 you've said for years your vote has no weight in the federal elections
00:29:35.720 Our Senate is unrepresented.
00:29:38.400 Our votes just put bums in chairs while Toronto, Southern Ontario, and Montreal decide who runs our country. 0.98
00:29:44.980 But this vote, ladies and gentlemen, this vote gives you more weight and more power than you've ever had in your life.
00:29:53.960 If you are a true Albertan, you owe it to your children, grandchildren, your future great-grandchildren,
00:30:00.480 to vote for prosperity to ensure that there is a land left here for them that they can afford homes
00:30:07.580 they can have families they can build memories and they can be prosperous and free but i'm confident
00:30:14.400 that no matter what happens in that process and this is critically important that next year
00:30:22.260 whether it's in the spring or the fall there will be a province-wide referendum
00:30:27.620 them but we cannot for the sake of our children underestimate underestimate the magnitude of that
00:30:43.700 challenge we have to get like 1.8 million albertans to vote yes that means that means every single one
00:30:55.100 of you is now charged with a mission and that mission is to talk to your friends talk to your
00:31:02.900 colleagues at work the guys on your shift the people in your baseball team or your hockey league
00:31:10.720 everybody that you encounter to have the awkward discussions to get them to understand the
00:31:18.000 opportunity that's before us the opportunity that how they will benefit how their family will
00:31:23.960 benefit, how their community will benefit, how their kids will benefit by voting yes. That is
00:31:30.260 the imperative that we all have. We can do it. You must do it. Are we going to fight for our kids?
00:31:41.400 There's a lot of people here today, but it's not enough. We need more people, which means that each
00:31:48.040 and every one of you, you need to ask yourself, are you willing to make the sacrifices necessary,
00:31:55.460 specifically with your time, to make this happen? Are you willing to actually go and have the
00:32:01.620 difficult conversations with those who may scoff at you so that you can make these changes? Are you
00:32:08.520 willing to give up your Friday night or your Saturday night, like most of these people have
00:32:13.140 been doing for the last three four years to make this happen and if you if you're willing to answer
00:32:20.400 yes which i'm sure most of you are then you need to walk the walk when you leave here you need to
00:32:26.100 start doing these things you need to educate yourselves on what the situation we're in and
00:32:32.000 what the solution looks like you need to know the details so that when you have these conversations
00:32:37.120 you're an effective ambassador for independence. Every one of you is an ambassador for Alberta
00:32:43.960 independence. Did you know that? So just insane. I've got a little thing. Kearney's got the elbows
00:32:53.880 up thing going. You know, it's kind of a hockey thing, right? I'm a hockey player.
00:33:00.880 I'm going to tell you a little thing about hockey players. There's a challenge that goes on. I
00:33:06.020 I don't know if you're aware of it, but I'm aware of it.
00:33:09.640 Sometimes guys will sidle up to you and say,
00:33:12.900 come on, let's go.
00:33:15.580 Do you wanna go?
00:33:17.480 So at that moment, you either do or you don't.
00:33:22.560 And if you don't, that guy probably owns you
00:33:26.700 and you're a little intimidated.
00:33:28.600 And then once you get intimidated,
00:33:30.240 it stops everything from working.
00:33:32.440 So here's what I'm gonna ask you.
00:33:34.160 Let's change that up.
00:33:36.440 Because the answer to, come on, let's go, is let's go.
00:33:42.460 Right?
00:33:44.940 So I'm gonna ask you as a group,
00:33:48.600 you know, there's a double meaning there.
00:33:51.680 Come on, let's go.
00:33:56.320 So that's gonna be the battle cry for our movement.
00:33:58.980 How about that?
00:34:00.980 So, I'm going to ask you a question and then you can tell me if you want to go or not.
00:34:06.900 Is the federal government stealing from us?
00:34:10.620 Are they sabotaging our industry?
00:34:13.900 Are they taking us down the path to communism?
00:34:17.300 Are they censoring us?
00:34:20.380 Are they stealing our guns from us?
00:34:23.500 Come on, let's go.
00:34:26.360 Thank you very much.
00:34:30.980 I want to tell every one of you that's here today, I have never been so proud to be an Albertan.
00:34:38.980 I look out across that sea of blue flags and I see that today, going forward,
00:34:47.980 should be known October 25th as Alberta Independence Day.
00:34:53.980 It's time to end the tyranny of Ottawa and keep our money at home to take care of our
00:35:03.920 families, fund Alberta education, fund our hospitals, fund our doctors, fund our Indigenous
00:35:09.940 people and take care of Albertans. 0.94
00:35:17.640 And there is only one solution, and that is to get Alberta the hell out of Canada and
00:35:24.020 become an independent country.
00:35:33.820 I want to thank all of you for coming out today.
00:35:36.400 Again, I can't tell you how proud I am today to be an Albertan, to see all of you here
00:35:43.040 standing for independence, standing up for your families, standing up for the future of your
00:35:48.640 children and your grandchildren, and a prosperous future for this province. Thank you all so much
00:35:54.980 for coming out. God bless all of you. God bless.
00:35:58.160 and that's a wrap for the independence calendar for another week one more before october the 19th
00:36:14.180 we do have advanced polling coming up the 13th of the 17th i'm going out on tuesday i am taking
00:36:19.920 my 90 year old mother-in-law she's voting yes to the first nine questions and voting for option two
00:36:26.340 and I'm excited. I first went to an independence rally in 2019, being somebody from Ontario,
00:36:32.440 and I've been hoping for a day like this. I'm really excited. I wonder how the people out
00:36:36.880 there who've been waiting for this pretty much all their lives. It is not a vote for independence,
00:36:41.540 but it's for the next step to get there. So get out this week and vote. Send me your pictures.
00:36:47.960 If you'd like to get in touch, johnboltonab at gmail.com. I'll see you on the next
00:36:53.720 independence calendar.
00:36:55.100 Thanks for watching.
