00:00:00.000 Hi, it's John and welcome to the channel 512 AM, the 28th of May. I do have my big blue mug of
00:00:05.860 coffee. Hope you're having an awesome day today. I'm going to say this in both official languages.
00:00:12.020 This is not going to be a long video. The more things change, the more they stay the same. Plus
00:00:17.700 ça change, plus c'est la même chose. Je ne parle pas français, although I can say a number of
00:00:24.040 French phrases and swear in French, but I don't speak French. By the way, if you're here and you
00:00:31.120 haven't subscribed to the channel, I'd appreciate it if you click on subscribe right now. Thank you so
00:00:35.660 much. So why am I saying this? The more things change, the more they stay the same. Because
00:00:40.120 it's the same country. It's the same divisions. In fact, they may be even worse now. It's the same
00:00:46.240 stupidity. Charles does the speech from the throne. His Royal Highness, the right hated it.
00:00:54.040 The left loved it. The right hated it. Go home. Charles, the left, oh, isn't this great? It's
00:00:58.640 the start of a new era here in Canada. People I respect online making clowns of themselves
00:01:06.720 over stupid things like Justin Trudeau's shoes. Come on. All over X videos yesterday. People
00:01:13.280 I respect making a big deal out of this. I liked his shoes. Okay. Meanwhile, you've got the
00:01:19.300 left going on about Alberta banning books, saying that they're burning books or referring to Alberta
00:01:24.920 as a bunch of knuckle draggers or an ideology from the 1930s and 40s. People like this who don't
00:01:31.580 realize that when you roll into a strip mall and it says adult on the outside and you can't see
00:01:36.100 through the windows, it's the same thing. This is the kind of stupidity we have to deal with. Or
00:01:40.720 washed up rock stars making an issue or saying something about Canadian politics.
00:01:45.760 These people should be dismissed. Grow up. But then you've got the guy leading the country.
00:01:53.940 Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose. I think I said that better than Mark Carney can say it.
00:01:59.800 He comes in, same party, different coat of paint, and that would be Mark Carney himself,
00:02:06.260 with all sorts of flowery phrases. Spend less, invest more. One project, one review. I couldn't
00:02:14.160 believe I heard the word catalyze out of Charles' mouth a couple of times yesterday. He talks about
00:02:19.160 bold, ambitious plans and nation-building projects. But it's going to be the same as it was under
00:02:26.380 Justin Trudeau. Watch this short clip of him on CBC yesterday, and the guy is going to control
00:02:31.620 everything that happens in this country. He just covers it and hides it behind flowery words and
00:02:39.880 flowery phrases. We're signaling in a bold, ambitious plan that's part of the speech from
00:02:44.660 the throne, is that we need to move on these nation-building projects. So projects that bring
00:02:49.280 Canada together, projects that diversify our economy, projects that help us export to new markets
00:02:54.620 and really move this economy forward. So yes, the ask of provinces, the ask of the private sector is
00:03:00.380 which projects do you have that reach those criteria? What we're going to do is fast-track
00:03:06.880 the approval, truly fast-track the approval of those projects. And we are going to name specific
00:03:12.960 projects to which these fast-track approvals apply so that the country can get moving. Now, part of
00:03:19.440 what we're going to do collectively, in effect, we're going to have a competition with projects.
00:03:25.760 Some projects are good ideas, but they're not ready. Others are ready, but they're bad ideas.
00:03:30.200 Some projects can purely be driven by private sector interests. If the federal government and
00:03:36.220 provincial governments can make approvals quickly, so investors can have the uncertainty, other projects
00:03:42.800 may provide such benefits to our country, in terms of diversification is an example in jobs,
00:03:48.360 that it may make sense for there to be some support in some way by the federal and provincial
00:03:53.400 governments. But we look at all of that. We designate the ones we want to, we collectively
00:03:58.620 want to move forward. And when I say we, I very much include, we very much include indigenous partners,
00:04:04.340 indigenous people, because this free prior and informed consent applies to all of this and will
00:04:09.420 apply to virtually every project. I just watched the Carney clip again and things could actually be worse
00:04:15.420 than they were before. Because before you could have a number of different good ideas in the air
00:04:21.420 that the liberals could deny. Now there's going to be one at a time, one project, one review that we
00:04:26.560 will decide what goes through. The we being the provinces as well. And then he gives the ultimate
00:04:33.180 veto power to one specific group. Did you catch it at the end? Here it is again.
00:04:40.120 When I say we, I very much include, we very much include indigenous partners, indigenous people,
00:04:45.880 because this free prior and informed consent applies to all of this and will apply to virtually every project.
00:04:52.260 Carney never has to look like the bad guy. He's in a great position. Good for him. David Eby in BC says no pipelines.
00:04:59.000 He doesn't want them. He's more concerned about carbon dioxide. And then you've got Francois Legault and Blanchet in Quebec.
00:05:06.120 They don't want the pipeline either. Not my fault. We decided that it wasn't a project we wanted to build.
00:05:11.440 And then he gives the ultimate veto to the indigenous groups. There'll always be a group of people on some reserve
00:05:18.200 somewhere in this country that don't want the pipeline to go through because they're being paid off by some
00:05:23.040 American non-governmental organization. Charitable group. Not my fault. The indigenous group doesn't want it.
00:05:30.280 They're part of the we as well. If you look at the speech from the throne yesterday,
00:05:34.040 indigenous passed the lips of Charles nine times, and that doesn't include the land acknowledgement.
00:05:41.160 So Carney never has to look like a bad guy. Meanwhile, you've got Daniel Smith screaming about
00:05:45.480 stop foot dragging and kill anti-oil policies. Is that going to happen? He's never said he would repeal
00:05:51.520 Bill C-69 to the contrary. And then you've got this. Boy, if you voted for Carney, you got played.
00:05:59.680 Here's Donald Trump. He's back. Truth Social. I told Canada, which very much wants to be part of our
00:06:05.800 fabulous Golden Dome system, that it will cost $61 billion if they remain a separate but unequal
00:06:13.220 nation, but will cost zero dollars if they become our cherished 51st state. They are considering the
00:06:20.180 offer. Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose.
00:06:24.340 Thanks for watching. I do appreciate it. If you liked the video, please give me a thumbs up,
00:06:28.180 subscribe to the channel, ring the bell for notifications. I have a special guest on tomorrow,
00:06:33.780 talking about the independence movement here in Alberta. I hope you'll watch for that.
00:06:38.660 I will see you in the next one.
