00:00:00.240 Look at these two, crawling like good boys.
00:00:02.940 This is Lake America. You two are my pets now.
00:00:05.500 This is humiliating, Trump. 0.82
00:00:07.340 Quiet, Ford. Heel.
00:00:08.640 Let us up, please.
00:00:09.900 No chance. Keep crawling, Carney. Faster.
00:00:12.700 America first. You two last. 0.98
00:00:18.360 Hi, it's John, and welcome to the channel.
00:00:20.480 624 a.m. Sunday, August the 30th.
00:00:23.720 I hope you're having a great day today and a fantastic weekend.
00:00:27.260 Thank you so much for being here.
00:00:28.880 and I hope you enjoyed that short clip off the top of this video. I'd like to thank the person
00:00:34.080 that created it. It's the inspiration for today's video and I'm likely going to piss a few people
00:00:39.840 off here today. If you're not an elbows-up type, you'll probably just be fine with what I say,
00:00:44.980 but I'm going to piss a few people off today. I'm going to talk about reactions today, okay?
00:00:51.540 Reactions. I'm also going to talk about Canadian character, which I don't think is very good,
00:00:56.260 And the fact that Canada does not lead in anything, it reacts to everything.
00:01:01.900 If Canada followed Alberta's lead more than 10 years ago, we would have pipelines built right now.
00:01:09.880 Instead, we're still standing around talking about it and getting nothing done.
00:01:14.720 But the video I showed off the top was the inspiration today.
00:01:18.920 Donald Trump renaming Lake Ontario to Lake America.
00:01:23.520 In the grand scheme of things, it's pretty ridiculous, and it's not very significant.
00:01:29.420 But it's the reaction of Canadians to that. It's the reaction of Canadian politicians to that. 0.66
00:01:34.540 More specifically, the speed in which they reacted to that, which was almost instantaneous,
00:01:40.740 which tells you a lot about Canadians and Canada and its politicians.
00:01:45.720 But in contrast to something else that happened this week, it shows you the lack of character of this country.
00:01:52.600 something that I thought was disgusting, disrespectful, but there was really no
00:01:57.900 reaction at all from the Canadian government, the politicians, in particular, Mark Carney.
00:02:02.640 I also want to talk about the reaction, well, the number one thing we react to always in this
00:02:09.820 country over the last 18 months, and it's this guy right here, Donald Trump. We react to everything
00:02:17.080 this guy does, Trump, Canada's greatest economic ally. Now, I checked, this was January 25th,
00:02:24.760 2025, when this was a thumbnail on one of my videos. And you're going to think I'm nuts
00:02:29.380 with all these tariffs and the breakdown of trade talks. But I believe that's true today.
00:02:35.700 As a matter of fact, something may be coming because Canada has to react to Donald Trump.
00:02:40.280 Once again, something may be coming that will benefit you greatly. We'll come back around to
00:02:44.840 that at the end. But let's go to our first story. And this would be the one about Donald Trump
00:02:50.740 renaming Lake Ontario to Lake America. And how did Mark Carney react? Almost instantaneously,
00:02:58.680 he reacted with a tweet. The name Lake Ontario comes from the Wendat word Ontario, which
00:03:04.260 appropriately means the lake is beautiful. The name is more than 400 years old. Canadians know
00:03:09.560 that naming reality means calling it Lake Ontario, then, now, and always. So this was an instant
00:03:15.780 reaction by Mark Carney. And again, I'm going to come around to a story in just a moment that I
00:03:21.020 don't think Mark Carney has reacted to at all, which shows the true character of Canada, which
00:03:26.420 isn't very good. How did Doug Ford react to this? Doug Ford lost his mind and he didn't even do it
00:03:32.720 very well. I'm here on the shores of beautiful Lake Ontario, a crown jewel of our province and
00:03:39.480 our country. You may have heard that President Trump is trying to rename this lake, all because
00:03:45.740 he doesn't like Ontario and Canada standing up for ourselves. But let's be serious. Long before
00:03:52.700 President Trump, this lake was called Lake Ontario. And long after President Trump is gone,
00:03:59.940 it will still be called Lake Ontario. But just in case President Trump or anyone else forgets,
00:04:06.560 we've set up the sign to remind them it's Lake Ontario now and forever.
00:04:12.800 You know, I did a video a couple of weeks back,
00:04:15.320 Doug Ford, Canada's walking bozo eruption, and he's still that way. 0.90
00:04:19.820 You know, there's a couple of sayings that I was thinking about when it came to the story.
00:04:23.360 Because what Donald Trump is doing here, he's throwing out the line, right?
00:04:26.820 He's trolling.
00:04:27.600 He's trolling Canadian politicians, and he catches them every time when he does stuff like this.
00:04:32.360 There's a couple of sayings I was thinking about.
00:04:33.980 one is, and this is advice for Mark Carney and for Doug Ford and others who are speaking out about
00:04:40.760 this, it is better to remain silent and be thought the fool than to speak and remove all doubt. But
00:04:47.940 there's another thing that I learned when I sold cars and I wasn't very good at that, but I learned
00:04:52.420 something probably more than 20 years ago. Silence is the best negotiator. You see, Donald Trump wants
00:04:59.880 to get a reaction and these people, they can't help themselves. They've got to react to this
00:05:05.820 and Trump is sitting around in the Oval Office laughing his ass off. I have no doubt. Just keep
00:05:11.220 your mouth shut. There's an article here and the guy's trying to make a point here. I understand
00:05:19.100 where he's coming from. Sault Ste. Marie lawyer suggests renaming Trump Lake in Northern Ontario,
00:05:24.760 but read the sub-headline here. We can choose to react as he wants, or we can embrace it and laugh
00:05:31.160 at it for what it is. Hear, hear. I mean, well done, Jeff Broadbent. That's exactly what the
00:05:37.320 Canadian politicians should have done. But they reacted immediately to this. And honestly,
00:05:43.680 Donald Trump just does this to get the reaction and they can't help themselves. Doug Ford is a
00:05:48.260 fool. And you know what's interesting? Doug, you blew it with your little presentation. 1.00
00:05:53.160 You don't stand in front of the billboard behind you and then later in the video, show them
00:06:00.060 revealing it. You do the reveal during the video for dramatic effect. You can't even get that right,
00:06:06.540 bozo. So let's move on to this. This is, oh, let me bring it up. Sorry. You can't see it here.
00:06:16.640 bring it up on screen. The National Roast, you might want to follow them on X. If you see anyone
00:06:23.000 deadnaming Lake America, drop this in the comments. Respect its transition, Lake America,
00:06:30.780 red, white, and blue, but the pastel colors. I love it. That is so good. Now let's move along
00:06:35.260 to our next story. And the reaction to this from Mark Carney and the liberal party was
00:06:40.040 silence. And this is a point where you shouldn't be silent. You should speak out against this.
00:06:45.140 This article right here, they said nothing. Kinsella, 9-11 wasn't a terrorist attack,
00:06:52.020 according to the CBC. You see, we're moving into the 25th anniversary of this, folks. This is a
00:06:56.820 pretty big one. I remember this like it was yesterday. I remember what I was doing. I got
00:07:01.140 my first cat the day this happened. Her name was Smokey. There she is right here. She's long past.
00:07:09.980 I got her on that day. I was playing with her on my couch, watching planes,
00:07:13.720 terrorists, Islamic terrorists, by the way, that should be said as well, Islamist terrorists 0.92
00:07:19.260 crashing planes in New York City and in Washington and in a field in Pennsylvania, if I remember 0.99
00:07:24.540 correctly. This, I'm going to go over to Lauren Gunter. CBC flip-flopped on calling 9-11 terrorism 0.97
00:07:30.780 exercise in disinformation. They have flip-flopped. Let's just read a little bit of this story. It's
00:07:36.140 obvious why this was done. The CBC executive who sent the confidential memo to editors and
00:07:41.820 reporters, was Basim Basra. Entirely misleading title. This is his title, Senior Director of
00:07:50.700 Journalistic Standards and Public Trust. Now, as far as I can see, Carney has said nothing about
00:08:01.720 this. Nothing. He was quick to jump on Lake America, but he said nothing about this, maybe
00:08:08.400 because this is what he believes. For the reasons I cited earlier, Canada intends to recognize the
00:08:14.060 state of Palestine at the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly. This is why
00:08:19.780 Mark Carney doesn't respond to this. He doesn't react to this. That's his character. Poor character,
00:08:25.740 right? My reaction immediately to this was this. Remember when defund the CBC was a thing?
00:08:34.300 let's bring that back. You know, I, I watched that clip and it reminds me of being in a hangar
00:08:50.200 in Northeast Calgary, just prior to the election last year. Polyev shows up with his jet
00:08:56.100 sitting outside the hangar doors. He comes down the steps with his wife
00:09:00.160 and people were chanting the same thing. You know, folks, you could have had that guy.
00:09:04.020 You could have had somebody with character. Instead, you got Mark Carney. I'm not saying
00:09:09.520 that Paulyev and the conservative party would be much better for Alberta. I don't believe they
00:09:14.260 would, but at least you would have had somebody that had some character. Mark Carney has none.
00:09:18.540 He should have condemned this from the CBC when it happened. Here's Pierre Paulyev. This is a
00:09:23.180 tweet from Juno News. CBC's 9-11 directive is triggering a cross-border firestorm. FBI Director
00:09:31.180 Kash Patel threatened to cut ties with Canadian agencies that refused to condemn it. While CPC
00:09:36.860 leader Pierre Polyev called 9-11, excuse me, a terrorist attack of unimaginable barbarity. 0.97
00:09:44.560 It should be more specific, Islamist terrorist attack. Now let's move on to this guy. We'll
00:09:53.100 come back around to this guy and how we react to Donald Trump. Now, as I said near the beginning
00:10:00.540 of this video, I put this thumbnail up on January 25th, 2025. And at the time I believe that, and I
00:10:08.480 believe this is true today. Now you might think, John, we've got these tariffs. We've got a break
00:10:12.660 off and trade talks. How can you say that? More on that in just a moment. But at the time I put
00:10:17.340 that thumbnail up, you have to remember what was going on here. Canada was stagnating. Trump comes
00:10:22.160 along, floats out. Governor Trudeau and 51st state. All of a sudden, the whole country starts
00:10:28.740 talking about getting things done. We got to get our natural resources out of the ground. We got
00:10:33.560 to start building things. We got to diversify our economy. All of the premiers sat down to discuss
00:10:39.480 this. We got to be Canada strong. Team Canada, folks. Now, nothing has happened. It's been an
00:10:46.320 absolute bust. Team Canada is a joke. The country is more divided than it was back when I put that
00:10:52.700 thumbnail up. But at least Donald Trump got people thinking. And now we get this. Let's
00:10:59.060 move along to this story right here. You know, Donald Trump in this breakdown in trade talks
00:11:03.640 may benefit you. He may become your greatest economic ally. Here's an article right here
00:11:09.700 in the National Post. Economists have some ideas about how to Trump-proof the economy. Now,
00:11:16.480 these are things that should have been done prior to Donald Trump.
00:11:20.120 Okay, I'm just going to read a little bit of this story for you, and then we're going to finish up
00:11:23.940 this video. Sorry, rough voice this morning. The most powerful policy play, they say, talking about
00:11:31.520 economists, would be an overhaul of Canada's tax system, because that could improve national
00:11:37.800 competitiveness, something that was sorely needed even without the Trump tariff threat.
00:11:44.260 They argue that tax changes, specifically cuts to personal and corporate income, would encourage increased investment and exports, which would then fuel increased economic growth.
00:11:58.160 Donald Trump could end up getting you a tax break.
00:12:06.000 He could become your greatest economic ally because Canada has to react to what's going on right now.
00:12:12.220 No, I wouldn't count on it. Mark Carney never does the right thing. He doesn't react in the
00:12:17.560 correct way. I mean, you know, I can give you an old Seinfeld reference here. He should be more
00:12:22.000 like George Costanza. George Costanza got everything wrong, but on one episode, he did
00:12:26.380 everything opposite and then he got everything right. But Mark Carney's instincts aren't very
00:12:31.260 good. He's got all sorts of things to say about renaming lakes, but when you're renamed 9-11,
00:12:37.940 He's got nothing to say because he's not a man with good character. Thank you very much for
00:12:42.780 watching. If you like this video, please react by giving a thumbs up, subscribe to the channel,
00:12:48.520 ring the bell for notifications. I'll see you in the next one.
