00:00:00.000 Hi, it's John and welcome to the channel 5.30 a.m. Saturday, August the 29th. I hope you're
00:00:08.440 having a great day today. I am. I tip the big blue mug of coffee to you and I'm chuckling
00:00:13.860 a little bit because just prior to hitting record, I thought, you know, if I had any
00:00:19.200 hair, I'd likely be pulling it out right around now. So let me explain to you in a couple
00:00:23.880 of different ways. What I'm going to talk about today or what I'm going to show you
00:00:27.080 more than talk about. It's almost laughable. It's definitely frustrating. It is maddening. And
00:00:36.440 I think most importantly, it is dangerous. You need to stay to the end of this one.
00:00:42.660 Watch until the end. That's where the kicker comes in. Okay. That's the big ending of the
00:00:47.480 story. The kicker that might kick you in places today, you do not want to be kicked because
00:00:51.880 if what's percolating in the background right now, being talked about right now,
00:00:57.080 it could destroy the oil and gas industry here in my province of Alberta across Canada and
00:01:04.120 destroy the Canadian and Alberta economies. All right. So watch until the end. This is really
00:01:10.100 serious stuff. So what I'm going to do, I'm going to show you right now is a couple of things. I'm
00:01:15.960 going to start off by showing you some people who have run parts of the country, somebody who wants
00:01:20.940 to run the country and somebody who is currently running part of the country. We're going to start
00:01:25.560 off with a couple of people who right now in Alberta couldn't be elected as dog catcher. As
00:01:30.580 a matter of fact, they're teaming up to fight the independence movement here. Great choice, folks.
00:01:36.740 So these two Einsteins are so ignorant and stupid. They're on a national news program. 1.00
00:01:44.480 One of them's talking, the other one's nodding in agreement as they're trying to give advice on how
00:01:49.100 to fight back against the evil United States in the trade talks. Okay, so we're going to have that
00:01:53.360 for you. Then I'm going to show you a national leader who is doing the same thing. As a matter
00:01:57.980 of fact, he had a one hour sit down with the prime minister of this country and he bought
00:02:02.480 Carney's line that it was the Americans that killed this trade deal, hook, line and sinker.
00:02:07.520 He is also giving advice on how to fight back against those evil Americans and Donald Trump.
00:02:14.920 And then we're going to hear from a premier, current premier, who's finally discovered where
00:02:20.100 the oil and gas comes from that goes into his province. These are the Einsteins and the people
00:02:26.420 who have ruled over to you, want to rule over you, and are currently ruling over you. And
00:02:32.500 the third one you're going to see would like to run the whole country as well. And these people
00:02:36.840 are dangerous. These people are stupid. These people are ignorant. And you need to understand 1.00
00:02:43.580 this. Stay for the end. The kicker is going to get you where you don't want to be kicked.
00:02:49.560 So let's start off with former premiers Jason Kenney and Rachel Notley of Alberta giving advice on what to do when it comes to fighting back against the United States of America.
00:03:01.480 It would be crazy in a fight like this, in a trade war, to remove our strongest tools from the table, our highest cards from the game.
00:03:12.360 And that is the, you know, our oil exports are the reason we have a trade surplus with the United States.
00:03:18.420 You take those exports out, and we were in a trade deficit situation.
00:03:22.340 I spoke to the prime minister for, it was an hour today, and mostly him taking me through the details of the negotiations.
00:03:32.620 As you probably know, we supported Canada walking away from that deal.
00:03:36.700 No deal is better than a bad deal.
00:03:38.540 And it was clear that it was that the Americans were sticking stuff in the last minute, and particularly in the auto sector and the steel sector.
00:03:47.280 and then the question of prioritizing Canadian content,
00:03:50.460 making it more findable on streamers.
00:03:52.400 These things that have been reported are all true.
00:03:54.180 This is what they were up to.
00:03:55.740 We need to use the leverage of critical minerals and energy exports
00:03:59.300 with the United States in trying to reduce these punishing tariffs
00:04:04.160 and be prepared to use all the leverage that we have.
00:04:07.360 Premier Smith came up with some great ideas.
00:04:10.380 Right now, we're getting our fuel and our natural gas
00:04:14.140 coming down to the U.S. and coming back up to Canada.
00:04:18.040 Craziest thing I've ever heard in my life.
00:04:20.080 And I've got to give Premier Smith the credit.
00:04:23.400 She was the one who came up with these ideas,
00:04:25.740 that rerouting this natural gas line
00:04:28.060 and eventually rerouting Line 5 as well.
00:04:32.340 I was thinking about calling Premier Doug Ford a lightweight,
00:04:37.080 but, you know, he's really got to lay off the starches.
00:04:40.880 Sorry, that's a low blow. 1.00
00:04:43.120 but I was sitting here thinking, do I call him ignorant or stupid? And then I thought, 1.00
00:04:48.440 why do I have to choose? He can be both at the same time. Imagine being the premier of a province
00:04:53.720 and not knowing that the energy that goes for the most part into my hometown of Sarnia, Ontario
00:05:00.980 comes through the United States of America. And Ford's been on the front lines of saying we need
00:05:06.280 to use oil and gas and other resources to fight back against the United States of America, just 0.79
00:05:11.340 like Abby Lewis, the head of the NDP, that clueless nutcase. And the other two clueless nutcases 1.00
00:05:16.840 that I showed off the top, Rachel Notley and Jason Kenney, former premiers of Alberta. But imagine
00:05:22.360 being so stupid as Doug Ford. These people just don't get it. Stay to the end. It's coming up in 1.00
00:05:29.280 just a moment. And then you get a couple of other politicians in this country who say, listen,
00:05:35.820 keep your hands off the resources because that would be dumb. That would be stupid. That would 1.00
00:05:40.840 be ignorant. And these are the people that the elbows up folks are calling traitors to their 0.97
00:05:47.240 country. Danielle Smith, Premier of Alberta, Scott Moe, Premier of Saskatchewan. If Canada were to put,
00:05:54.940 let's say, a 50% export tariff on the 4 million barrels of oil that we export daily to the United
00:06:02.020 States, the United States would immediately respond with a 50 to 100% export tariff on oil
00:06:10.000 and natural gas that they export to ontario along with millions of barrels of diesel fuel and
00:06:16.320 gasoline that ontario and quebec import from the midwest if we cut off our oil entirely what then
00:06:22.880 the same results but even worse the united states would of course respond and cut off
00:06:27.680 all gasoline and diesel from their refineries to ontario and quebec do we really want this outcome
00:06:32.640 I certainly don't.
00:06:34.220 It's not possible.
00:06:36.180 Why?
00:06:37.040 Why would you put Canadians out of work with a flawed policy?
00:06:43.060 That would be my question.
00:06:45.040 Why would Canadians would immediately lose their job?
00:06:47.480 We would immediately lose market share.
00:06:50.680 Immediately, we would lose those trade relations moving forward.
00:06:54.640 And we would lose potential investment that's coming into our natural resource sector,
00:06:58.400 the very sector that is driving the economic growth of our nation as we speak.
00:07:03.620 Imagine thinking that those two reasonable, logical people are traitors to their country for speaking the truth.
00:07:11.980 But this doesn't work with the people with Trump derangement syndrome,
00:07:16.480 because they don't think sensibly. They don't think logically.
00:07:20.720 All they think about is getting back at Donald Trump.
00:07:23.500 So they're willing to sacrifice. We've got to be willing to sacrifice.
00:07:27.280 We got to do it for Team Canada. And the sacrifice could get very steep, ladies and gentlemen,
00:07:33.200 if what I'm about to read to you comes true. And this could happen real fast. Here's the kicker
00:07:38.740 of the story. I don't know that you've heard about this. Scoop, this is Axios.
00:07:44.260 U.S. close to striking massive deal for Venezuelan oil fields.
00:07:48.940 A little bit of this story for you. The Trump administration is in talks with Venezuela's
00:07:53.260 government about taking an ownership stake in the South American country's enormous oil resources,
00:07:59.640 two U.S. officials tell Axios. The historic deal would more than double U.S. oil reserves by
00:08:05.500 drawing from a country that has the world's largest proven reserves. Calling this deal huge
00:08:10.640 would be an understatement. One of the officials said it is massive. The fields in question have
00:08:17.220 90 billion barrels of proven reserves used to be controlled by former Venezuelan insiders,
00:08:23.800 including some who've been indicted, as well as interests once controlled by China, the official
00:08:29.100 said. In return for giving the U.S. an ownership stake, Venezuela's government would benefit from
00:08:34.800 private companies, including American firms, developing the fields and returning more oil
00:08:40.080 revenue to that country. Wouldn't it be a novel idea to have private companies, including American
00:08:45.300 firms investing in, say, Canadian oil, but were uninvestable because of the Liberals, because of
00:08:52.360 Ottawa, ladies and gentlemen. The Venezuelan oil deal would be a legacy-defining moment for
00:08:57.120 President Trump, who has made U.S. energy security and dominance in the Western Hemisphere pillars
00:09:02.020 of his so-called Dunro Doctrine. Canada would be the dominant producer of energy if it weren't for
00:09:08.840 the Liberals and Ottawa and people who get in the way. President Trump is close to securing
00:09:13.520 America's energy future for generations to come, not just in the U.S., but in the hemisphere,
00:09:18.720 a second official said. The exact timing for finalizing the deal is unclear, but Energy
00:09:24.180 Secretary Chris Wright has been discussing plans to go to Venezuela next week as his department
00:09:30.520 discusses ways to increase oil production by U.S. firms. Imagine if people like Doug Ford,
00:09:36.560 who has said we need to use our oil and gas, everything is on the table to fight back against
00:09:40.860 Donald Trump. Imagine if Abby Lewis, the nutcase leader of the NDP, or the former disgraced 1.00
00:09:46.480 premiers of Alberta, Rachel Notley and Jason Kenney, get their way and we do this. Imagine
00:09:51.520 the United States just saying, we don't need your oil anymore at all. To be frank, the Canada that
00:09:58.700 you know and the Alberta that I love would be over. Thanks so much for watching. If you liked
00:10:04.680 this video, give it a thumbs up, subscribe to the channel, ring the bell for notifications. I'll see
00:10:08.940 you in the next one. Have a good weekend.
