Summary

The deal between Alberta's premier Danielle Smith and Prime Minister Mark Carney on the Alberta vs. British Columbia pipeline deal is nothing but BS, and I'm here to tell you why. Don't piss on my leg and tell me it's raining.

00:00:00.000 Hi, it's John and welcome to the channel. It is 2.25 in the afternoon, Thursday, November
00:00:08.680 the 27th. I hope you're having a great Thursday. I do have my big blue mug of coffee right
00:00:14.180 now and I don't often do four videos in a day, but I had to do this video. And there's
00:00:21.300 a saying, it's don't piss on my leg and tell me it's raining. And if you don't know what
00:00:27.840 that means, it means that don't think I'm so naive that I will believe what you're trying
00:00:32.180 to tell me, that I will allow you to deceive me because I feel like somebody's pissing
00:00:38.260 on my leg right now and I'm being told it's raining. This deal that was signed today between
00:00:44.420 the province of Alberta with my premier, Danielle Smith, and the prime minister of Canada, Mark
00:00:50.320 Carney, is nothing but bullshit. I did a video before six o'clock this morning commenting
00:00:57.480 on this deal that was signed after nine o'clock this morning saying it would be bullshit.
00:01:03.840 And it is. I said that BC would get a veto in this, that David Eby would get in the way,
00:01:11.660 that the native groups in British Columbia would get in the way. And I'm being told that's not
00:01:16.340 the case. It's all been worked out and it's bullshit. Don't piss on my leg and tell me it's
00:01:22.880 raining. There's too many signs from the past that tell us that this is not true, what we're
00:01:28.920 being told here. Here is, God love Rebel News, Sheila Gunn-Reed, Ezra Levant there at the news
00:01:36.040 conference where Danielle Smith was speaking today. Here's Sheila Gunn-Reed asking Danielle
00:01:40.560 Smith about a British Columbia veto. And I'm going to put the clip that Sheila Gunn-Reed refers
00:01:47.060 to in the House of Commons in this as well. Sheila Gunn-Reed with Rebel News, just staying
00:01:53.560 on the topic of British Columbia, the Prime Minister has said in the House of Commons just
00:01:58.880 two days ago, we believe the government of British Columbia has to agree.
00:02:03.220 We believe the government of British Columbia has to agree. We believe the government of British
00:02:08.620 Columbia has to agree. We believe the government of British Columbia has to agree.
00:02:12.760 Now, just now, after he left the signing with you, his press release says these projects will only be built in consultation and partnership with Indigenous rights holders and British Columbia.
00:02:25.660 So what is the real strength of this MOU when you have a partner who keeps giving veto to British Columbia?
00:02:33.300 Well, you'll see in the agreement there's no mention of veto. I think that there obviously has to be trilateral discussions with British Columbia to find areas of common ground, and I think we will.
00:02:44.260 And there's also clearly going to have to be a formal consultation process with Indigenous bands, and we're prepared to do all of that.
00:02:52.980 To me, it looked like Danielle Smith was a deer in the headlights answering that question.
00:02:57.600 And when I was watching her sign that agreement with Mark Carney and the Liberal Party earlier today, it seemed to me that Danielle Smith had fallen victim to some kind of Mark Carney pipeline Stockholm syndrome, almost as if she's created an emotional bond to her abuser.
00:03:16.300 And Mark Carney is an abuser, a pipeline abuser, an oil and gas abuser.
00:03:22.840 This is the man who has been Mr. Net Zero. This is the man who headed up an organization that tried to stop investment in oil and gas.
00:03:31.720 It was called the Glasgow Financial Alliance for Net Zero. That's who this guy is.
00:03:37.160 And when you get into the meat and potatoes of this agreement, and I'm going to show you a question from Ezra Vand in just a moment.
00:03:43.120 It might look good on the surface, but listen to the timeline here.
00:03:48.420 Listen to Ezra Levant talk about the new carbon pricing we've got in Alberta, which I never thought I'd hear again, and how long it's going to take to actually get this pipeline built.
00:03:59.280 Hi, Premier Ezra Levant from Rebel News.
00:04:01.700 The first deadline in the MOU, if I'm reading it right, is April, where the duty is on Alberta to jack up carbon taxes.
00:04:15.060 And the last date in the MOU, if I'm reading it right, correct me if I'm not, is 2040.
00:04:20.940 That's when this pipeline, you know, that's sort of the end date.
00:04:24.480 It can't be any later than that.
00:04:25.900 In terms of building trust with the anti-oil liberals, they're asking Alberta to raise carbon taxes now for a promise of an oil pipeline years or even more than a decade in the future.
00:04:40.040 Does that really build trust?
00:04:42.540 Well, you have to start somewhere.
00:04:44.600 Well, you've got to start somewhere.
00:04:46.100 To be fair to Danielle Smith, she talks about this a lot more.
00:04:52.000 Link in the description to the Rebel News video below.
00:04:55.300 But surely, Madam Premier, you didn't sign on a dotted line agreeing to paying carbon taxes on our oil and gas industry now,
00:05:04.500 which puts us at a disadvantage for maybe perhaps a pipeline in 15 years.
00:05:11.760 Surely you didn't do that.
00:05:13.340 And surely you didn't just do this because your annual general meeting of the United Conservative Party starts tomorrow in Edmonton
00:05:22.700 and you wanted to walk around like Neville Chamberlain.
00:05:26.020 Peace in our time.
00:05:27.660 We've got a pipeline.
00:05:35.120 Now, here's what's coming next, folks.
00:05:37.380 Lawsuits.
00:05:39.620 David Eby's not happy.
00:05:41.120 This will be held up in court for years.
00:05:44.200 We've got the carbon capture thing.
00:05:46.300 Didn't mention that.
00:05:48.420 10 to 20 billion dollars to put carbon dioxide in the ground.
00:05:52.100 But then there's the other thing.
00:05:55.020 They're going to consult with the Aboriginal people, folks.
00:05:57.900 But there's lots of Aboriginal people.
00:05:59.740 There's the ones who want to be prosperous.
00:06:02.380 And there's the ones who want to get in the way.
00:06:04.320 And the ones who get in the way, they've got funding from places that puts them in front of pipelines.
00:06:11.580 Or as soon as a shovel goes in the ground, they put up blockades that hold things up for years.
00:06:16.920 We can't deal with the socialists in British Columbia like Eby.
00:06:30.380 And we can't deal with Aboriginal people who don't want to be prosperous.
00:06:34.780 I've said here many times before, if you don't want to share in generating the wealth, you shouldn't benefit from the wealth.
00:06:43.700 We should cut you right off.
00:06:45.440 If you don't like oil and gas, then you shouldn't benefit from it.
00:06:49.000 Maybe you should stop using oil and gas.
00:06:52.040 But this isn't a good deal.
00:06:54.300 I don't change my mind about this at all.
00:06:56.600 This will be held up for years.
00:06:59.060 And I can't believe it.
00:07:00.980 I can't believe Danielle Smith stands there and defends this nonsense.
00:07:07.080 Because Mark Carney and the Liberals do not want a pipeline to the West Coast.
00:07:12.120 These people have a religion, folks.
00:07:14.260 I'm not going to say what it is.
00:07:15.880 You know what it is.
00:07:16.960 They've got a religion.
00:07:17.860 And if we don't abide by their religion, and we're not part of their religion, the whole world is going to end.
00:07:23.880 That's what they believe.
00:07:27.680 Hey, folks.
00:07:28.600 I'm just jumping in here.
00:07:30.020 I was just processing the video.
00:07:31.980 I opened up my email, and I got an email from the Western Standard.
00:07:35.720 I just told you it was their religion.
00:07:38.400 This just threw from the Western Standard.
00:07:40.980 Breaking news.
00:07:42.440 Stephen Gilbo has abruptly resigned from Prime Minister Mark Carney's cabinet.
00:07:46.640 And sources say it's directly tied to Ottawa's renewed push for major energy infrastructure,
00:07:52.340 including the possibility of a new pipeline.
00:07:55.240 Gilbo submitted his resignation only hours after Carney and Alberta signed a sweeping memorandum of understanding on energy corridors and major builds.
00:08:05.640 A senior government source has confirmed the timing was no coincidence.
00:08:10.960 I told you, this is their religion.
00:08:13.800 Don't be surprised if more of the rats jump off the ship.
00:08:17.060 But thanks for watching.
00:08:18.140 If you liked the video, please give it a thumbs up.

00:08:23.960 I'll see you in the next one.
