A rant about the awful people living in Canada and their attitude towards Alberta, and why they should leave Canada. Also, a reminder of why Alberta independence is not a referendum on leaving Canada, it's a referendum about leaving the country.

00:00:00.000 There's a funny saying, I wouldn't want to be part of a club that would have me as a member.
00:00:05.400 But here's another saying for you, I wouldn't want to be part of a country that would have
00:00:09.600 these people as citizens. Hi, it's John and welcome to the channel. It is 4 30 a.m. Monday,
00:00:18.980 June the 1st. I hope you're having a great start to your Monday, a great start to June as well.
00:00:22.620 I've got the big blue mug of coffee keeping me warm this morning. And I say it's keeping me warm
00:00:27.800 because it is awful in Calgary.
00:00:30.600 I hope you're getting better weather where you live.
00:00:33.220 It's been raining for 18 hours straight.
00:00:35.620 It's supposed to rain right into Wednesday,
00:00:37.920 five degrees outside right now.
00:00:40.300 You know, unfortunately, the big blue mug of coffee
00:00:42.280 is not keeping me happy today.
00:00:45.460 I woke up in a good mood
00:00:46.880 and it turned sour pretty fast this morning.
00:00:50.300 I've been up for two and a half hours,
00:00:52.900 just after two o'clock.
00:00:53.960 and I made the mistake of looking at social media. Now, I have a statement to make at the
00:01:00.740 end of this video, which isn't going to be very long. And I have a question to ask at the end of
00:01:04.880 this video, which has been asked hundreds, if not thousands of times. And we haven't got an answer
00:01:10.500 to the question. I'm going to get to that in just a moment. So why am I in a nasty mood?
00:01:16.060 There's a saying, I think I've used it here before, when angry count 10, when very angry
00:01:20.080 count 100. I counted to about 75 today. So what's happened here with the Alberta independence
00:01:26.940 movement and with the awful people who live in Canada? And again, I want to qualify this.
00:01:33.440 Not everybody in Canada is awful. I have family and friends that live in Canada. They're good
00:01:38.040 people. But there are truly awful people living in Canada. And I'm increasingly believing that 0.95
00:01:45.840 the strategy we need here in the Alberta independence movement is the establishment
00:01:51.380 versus the underdog, the establishment versus the grassroots, the establishment versus the
00:01:58.340 little guy. And Alberta is the little guy because more and more I'm hearing from the awful people
00:02:05.360 that they talk about in Canada that Alberta can't do what it wants. If it tries, we will put you
00:02:10.300 down. We're going to punish you. And it went there real fast. It was a month, a week ago, 1.00
00:02:20.120 sorry, today that Jason Kenney debated Keith Wilson here in Calgary. And the feeling I got
00:02:28.420 from that debate from Jason Kenney's standpoint was that it was a campaign of fear. Everything
00:02:35.600 is going to be bad if Alberta leaves. That's the campaign we had a week ago. We've gone from there 1.00
00:02:42.060 to a campaign of threats in one week. And I'm seeing more and more of this and hearing more
00:02:48.740 and more of it from the other side. Now, I want to take you back a few years.
00:02:53.060 do you know what this picture is
00:02:59.280 this is a picture of the unity rally in montreal in 1995 just before the referendum you can see
00:03:12.960 some of the signs here say no vote no on quebec leaving canada and as you remember
00:03:19.340 it was very close. I was here this day. I was in Montreal. I'm somewhere around here. Oh,
00:03:25.740 there I am right there. That's me right there, standing near that Canadian flag.
00:03:29.940 Now, you might remember back in 1995, if you're old enough, that everybody was,
00:03:36.680 oh, Quebec, we love you. Please don't leave. You're such wonderful people. Please stay in
00:03:43.380 Canada. We'll give you anything you want, Quebec. That was the attitude back then. 0.82
00:03:49.340 But that's not the attitude when it comes to Alberta.
00:03:52.680 The attitude is, you do as we say, or we will put you down. 0.97
00:03:57.740 And we're going to threaten you with things.
00:04:00.280 And we'll take away all of your toys.
00:04:02.760 That's the attitude today.
00:04:05.080 So, I'm just going to show you a couple of examples here.
00:04:08.840 But a lot of people are doing this now.
00:04:11.160 So, Rise of Alberta puts out this tweet right here.
00:04:14.860 Alberta independence doesn't mean losing your Canadian passport. It means having two Canadian
00:04:21.620 and Albertan. Okay. I would say that's reasonable. There will be negotiations after Alberta votes to
00:04:31.080 leave, and that's in the Clarity Act. Alberta will have negotiations with Canada and with
00:04:37.380 Indigenous people. It's written right in there. We'll have negotiations, and we assume 0.99
00:04:41.660 that these negotiations will be difficult, if not Canada being totally hostile towards Alberta.
00:04:49.600 And that's what I'm increasingly believing will happen. Because Warren Kinsella, liberal,
00:04:56.420 worked for Jean Chrétien. The guy actually campaigned for Kamala Harris, for Christ's
00:05:02.600 sakes. He puts out this tweet right here. False. No passport, no armed forces, no healthcare system,
00:05:10.960 no pensions, no OAS, no CPP, no disability benefits, no EI, no consular support, no student
00:05:20.060 aid, no federal policing, no banking system protection, no free mobility, no constitutional
00:05:26.340 rights. You're alone. Most of the things that Mr. Kinsella talks about in that tweet are happening
00:05:37.200 today in Alberta. And the day after we vote to leave, they will happen in Alberta. And as far
00:05:45.060 as I'm concerned, we will be alone, says Mr. Kinsella. That's perfectly fine with me. But this
00:05:52.060 has gone from fear-mongering to threats. Here's another one right here. This is just one I popped
00:05:59.840 on to this morning. Imagine thinking that you'd get to keep Canadian citizenship if you leave
00:06:04.820 Canada, that would be the first thing to lose, followed by access to the trade deals with other
00:06:09.700 countries Canada has. And if Canada feels like access to pipelines or even Banff and other
00:06:15.480 Canadian parks, well, the pipelines are in Alberta. They start here.
00:06:20.740 Can you imagine us shutting off Line 9 to Ontario and Quebec for a couple of days?
00:06:25.560 Or shutting off the pipeline to British Columbia for a couple of days? Or shutting down the roads
00:06:30.380 and cutting off access from British Columbia into the rest of the country? Can you imagine
00:06:34.760 what would happen. I've got a statement on this in just a moment. This is ridiculous. I swear to
00:06:39.520 God, the day after we vote to leave officially, I'll drive one hour west of where I'm sitting
00:06:43.660 right now and I will be in Banff National Park and nobody's going to stop us. But this is
00:06:48.660 increasingly what I'm seeing from people who live in Canada. You do as you're told or we'll take 0.98
00:06:54.260 away your toys. We are in control. Let me ask you people sitting on your fence, trying to be wooed
00:06:59.900 over to the forever Canadian side, is this the type of country you want to live in? Because this
00:07:04.740 is just a week into this event. Actually, four days into the actual referendum campaign. There's
00:07:10.980 a lot more of this coming. A campaign of fear, a campaign of threats. Now, I wrote this down this
00:07:19.680 morning. But before we get to it, I want to say this. If Alberta leaves, as my friend Dennis
00:07:27.120 Calma says, Canada will be Dubai with snow. That's how rich Alberta will be. Dubai with snow. 0.52
00:07:38.720 I wrote down this this morning. Instead of threatening Albertans about what is going to
00:07:44.700 happen to us when we leave, you need to start worrying about Canada when Alberta leaves with
00:07:50.240 its wealth. Now, here's the question I want to ask again of these people threatening us.
00:07:55.480 the masters in Ottawa, the bureaucrats, the establishment telling Albertans what we can
00:08:01.760 and cannot do. Give me one good reason why we should stay. Still waiting. I got lots of reasons
00:08:10.360 why we should leave. Give me one good reason why we should stay. I'm going to tell you this. The
00:08:16.620 day we win our independence, I will renounce my Canadian citizenship and hand in my passport
00:08:22.680 because I am Albertan.
00:08:26.180 Thank you so much for watching.
00:08:27.700 If you like this video, give it a thumbs up,
00:08:29.720 subscribe to the channel, ring the bell for notifications.
00:08:32.740 I'll see you in the next one.
