John Bolton - URGENT： Alberta Independence Needs Your Help Now!

00:00:00.000 Hi, it's John, and welcome to the channel, 618 AM, Sunday, May 31st.

00:00:07.900 I hope you're having a great Sunday and a fantastic weekend here with the Big Blue Mug

00:00:11.840 of Coffee.

00:00:12.760 I appreciate that you've clicked on this video.

00:00:16.400 I need your help.

00:00:19.320 More specifically, a friend of mine needs your help, and so does the Alberta Independence

00:00:24.080 Movement.

00:00:24.440 And for those of you who have been wondering how they can help and are concerned that not

00:00:30.020 enough is happening, you can make a difference within the next 10 to 15 minutes.

00:00:35.720 I can assure you of that.

00:00:37.780 You're concerned.

00:00:38.800 I'm concerned.

00:00:39.940 Things are happening in the background right now in the Alberta independence movement.

00:00:44.420 Some things are happening in the foreground, some meetings and things like that.

00:00:47.860 But for the most part, we're on the back foot.

00:00:50.360 The other side has got a huge jump on us.

00:00:53.840 They're out there right now.

00:00:55.260 They're well-organized.

00:00:56.420 They're well-funded.

00:00:57.860 They've got the backing of government and the establishment.

00:01:01.020 And it's us, the grassroots, who have to fight back to win Alberta independence.

00:01:05.320 And I can assure you, within the next 10 to 15 minutes, you can help.

00:01:10.200 Not only that, you're going to know exactly where your money is going.

00:01:13.980 A lot of people have said that to me.

00:01:15.480 I contribute.

00:01:16.640 Where is my money going?

00:01:17.700 You're going to find out within the next 10 to 15 minutes.

00:01:21.740 Now, if 10,000 people watch this video and every one of you contribute $10, you can have a visual representation of Alberta independence on the street within the next week or so.

00:01:36.100 Somebody is stepping up, somebody you know very well, somebody I admire and respect, and it's Corey Morgan.

00:01:44.160 He needs your help.

00:01:46.300 I spoke to Corey yesterday. He's becoming a third-party advertiser in the independence

00:01:52.980 movement, and he needs your help, not only with money, but you to help him with volunteering.

00:01:59.440 Here's my interview with Corey. No stranger to this channel, no stranger to Alberta,

00:02:04.260 no stranger to you. If you watch the Corey Morgan Show or you are part of the Western Standard,

00:02:10.260 I would suggest you go over there and subscribe. I'm a subscriber, and we're joined by Corey

00:02:14.560 Morgan. Corey, it's great to have you here. And it's exciting to have you here. One of the first

00:02:18.920 people really to dip your toe in the water of third-party advertising for the independence

00:02:24.460 campaign. Nice to have you here. Yeah, thanks, John. Yeah, I was, you know, inspired to do it,

00:02:31.140 as I said in my video, with another shared broadcast we did when Jason Levine pointed

00:02:35.340 out, you know, you can just do it as an individual and why not fill out the paperwork and just make

00:02:41.120 official so now we can move and promote this well the thing is and i've talked to jason about this

00:02:45.600 he says it's quite easy to do can you get can you kind of run it past us what we might have to do

00:02:51.520 if we're interested in doing this because i think people might be a little scared but it's not so

00:02:55.760 hard is it no it's not that hard at all and and the main thing i guess the whole basis of it is

00:03:02.000 they just want to track all spending where you got the money where it got spent and you know to make

00:03:08.720 sure you stay within the confines of what's allowed during a campaign whether it's maximums

00:03:12.880 or displaying where the you know your advertising came from and things like that so the one of the

00:03:18.000 number one things you need is a cfo somebody who's going to act as your treasurer who's going to track

00:03:22.400 that money i'm so fortunate my wife's a bookkeeper and she did it for a political party for some

00:03:27.360 years so she's very actually experienced in dealing with elections alberta of the past anyways

00:03:34.000 you fill out the forms you make it clear what you want to do you set up a separate bank account

00:03:38.320 just so that you know it makes it easier to track all the money that came in or out of this whole

00:03:42.320 program is just in that account so you're not trying to chase it down and you report weekly

00:03:48.160 that's one of the things they have down there's an online form you're going to give them a report

00:03:51.920 every week just so that they can keep up on what you're doing how much you've raised what you've

00:03:57.440 been spending on and uh you're off to the races you know they're very helpful actually online with

00:04:02.560 that as well i have found from elections alberta some people have gotten upset with them over some

00:04:09.760 things and the chief electoral officer maybe there's some bias but in past times i've dealt

00:04:14.400 with them they really want to help you along to stay within the rules it makes their life easier

00:04:19.680 too if you call them up with questions saying how do i avoid breaking your rules they will tell you

00:04:25.120 pretty clearly you know this is what you got to do this is what you can't do they're pretty

00:04:29.040 helpful on that front so i i'd suggest anybody looking at it just give them a shout they're

00:04:33.360 actually pretty responsive through weekdays because again they're bureaucrats they want

00:04:36.320 their day to be easy they want to mail it in to get their paycheck so if other people are are

00:04:40.800 following all those rules it only makes it easier for them yeah i want to what i want to do here on

00:04:45.200 the independence calendar moving forward is i want to try to help the third-party advertisers

00:04:49.600 as much as possible i know i think it's six hundred and seven thousand dollars it's a crazy

00:04:54.160 number six hundred thousand dollars we'll just say that's how much we're going to raise you corey

00:04:58.560 during this okay wouldn't that be nice you know 20 years income for an independent media guy but

00:05:05.280 i don't get to pocket any of it that's part of the great structure of this it's not a

00:05:09.200 right personal fundraiser right so we want to help you out here and you've got a pretty easy

00:05:14.160 plan which i think is great um what's your plan what do you want to do moving forward

00:05:20.080 sure my interest again was to keep it simple about you know what i'm not going to start a whole

00:05:24.080 giant organization like the app was or everything with all those facets and volunteers there though

00:05:28.440 i'm getting i found out i realized i've got to coordinate a lot of volunteers because they're

00:05:31.520 all putting their hands up and it's great yeah i want two things lawn signs because we just haven't

00:05:36.440 seen them and we're seeing look hasick has already come out of the gate running he's got those things

00:05:40.220 blossoming out there and we've kind of dropped the the ball on it so we can do it fast simple

00:05:45.740 lawn signs alberta lawn signs let's get them out to have people showing in their own households

00:05:50.240 get your neighbors on it friends family just show that display that there's activity with this and

00:05:55.920 that people are supporting the concept and the other part is going to take a little longer but

00:06:01.040 uh there's been a guy i've been working with who makes some great digital uh productions ai type

00:06:05.680 of commercials i put the first draft up there it still needs some tuning and everything it was just

00:06:09.600 kind of his first attempt to throwing something out but yeah wow there's enough potential just

00:06:13.920 if he calls that a first draft and we haven't even started you know tidying it up we can make some

00:06:18.480 really cool stuff and we got to get it on to in front of eyes that don't normally see us you and

00:06:24.960 i have our channels we got great audiences and feedback but we need to get it to pop up in ads

00:06:30.160 in front of people watching other channels in alberta people who are watching whether it's

00:06:33.840 entertainment or uh you know just other uh podcasters you name it you can pay for that you

00:06:39.760 can have those ads pop up in those videos but it takes some money so i gotta raise some money to

00:06:44.800 be able to do that and a tpa is just the perfect way to do it we'll tell people how they can do

00:06:49.040 that in just a moment i'd really love to see your ads popping up in front of forever canadian ads

00:06:54.240 on youtube because they're probably gonna wouldn't that be great now you've got it behind you i've

00:06:58.640 got it behind me it's right there the big blue flag what are the two words beneath the crest

00:07:05.440 there on your signs that will be in the front lawn of people's houses just choose alberta love it

00:07:12.400 Love it. Simple as that. I just want to keep it simple. Just like I got to admit, Forever Canadian just has it pretty basic in there. You know, it just gets that positive messaging going out to other people. Otherwise, I think I got to put some information on it, just showing who sponsored it. You know, in my case, it'll be that pathway to independence and a means of contacting me. Just other things for people if they got paid advertising. And let's just get those other laws. I just said the signs behind you, the flags behind you, the mine behind me too, and in front of my house.

00:07:38.140 and uh uh that's a great way to i think everybody should have a flag outside anyways but getting a

00:07:45.020 lawn sign out there is even quicker and faster and you can get to all sorts of people's places

00:07:48.940 okay so people want to help you you've told me prior to us doing this quick interview here that

00:07:54.320 they're already getting in touch they want to help with the signs um so how can people contact you if

00:07:59.940 they're interested in doing that yeah well they can go to corymorgan.com i i had that old website

00:08:05.100 up forever. I knock the dust off it and just put a quick page up that at least gives the information

00:08:10.140 on how to email me to ask questions. And I think I'm going to get a proper script put in there for

00:08:15.940 volunteer sign up or things like that, or just email sign up. And of course, yes, I'm not used

00:08:21.200 to it. I hate it, but I understand the reality of it. The donate buttons, if you want to throw some

00:08:25.300 money in, we need the money to be able to do it. So the means are all there on the website.

00:08:29.160 This is all about raising money, Corey. Don't feel shy about asking for the cash.

00:08:34.700 Ask for the sale here. Folks, help Corey out. I think you've got maybe 200 signs coming initially.

00:08:41.600 We'd like to get you a thousand signs real fast. So if you can go over to CoreyMorgan.com,

00:08:46.440 there is a QR code there. You can use your camera on. There's a link right below it.

00:08:51.080 Give some money. If you don't have a lot of cash or you don't have cash, don't feel pressured.

00:08:56.460 But if you can help out, you can donate up to $5,000 through this whole period of the referendum

00:09:02.080 campaign. If you got deep pockets, you could do that, but $10 at a time is fine. And help out

00:09:08.500 Corey. Let's get those signs out there. And we should have a big day, Corey, when you get a 0.65

00:09:12.640 load of signs in, maybe you got a thousand to go out. Let's have a volunteer day and we'll go out

00:09:17.640 and put them out for you. How's that sound? That sounds excellent. It'll absolutely do that. And

00:09:22.380 as I said, my video's only been up a few hours and the feedback's been incredible. So I think

00:09:26.500 that volunteer day is going to be coming really soon. Let's do that. And so you can help out

00:09:31.000 again, CoreyMorgan.com. You can just scan the code or click the link. We made a donation to

00:09:37.640 you already, Corey. We're excited about this. And we need more people to get in. I'm thinking

00:09:41.500 about it myself, Corey. I've just got to think about what I would do with the money and I need

00:09:45.400 a CFO, but we need more people to do with this. We know Tanya Clemens is in with Alberta's Next

00:09:51.660 Step. Keith Wilson had announced that the other day here on my channel. We've got others coming

00:09:56.700 in Jason Levine, who inspired you to do this. He's in as well. So we need to help these people

00:10:01.020 out. And we'll be doing a regular feature here on the calendar to tell people where they can send

00:10:05.260 money and what it's going to go to. And I think that's important, Corey. You know what I like

00:10:08.900 about what you're doing here is people have been making donations to the independence movement for

00:10:13.000 the longest time, and they don't know what's happening with their cash. But every time they

00:10:16.320 drive by one of your signs, they'll know that it's because they've donated. I think that's a

00:10:21.140 fantastic thing. Yeah. And that's something I said in my video, and I want to make clear as part of

00:10:26.020 i'm keeping it simple too i'm going to put it up on my website regularly this is the amount of money

00:10:30.980 that came in and this is what we bought with it and you know there's going to be some expenses i

00:10:35.540 imagine i guess some of the bookkeeping maybe if i'm driving them around there'll be some fuel

00:10:38.820 expenses minor minor things i want for the most part we got you know five thousand in here's what

00:10:45.380 five thousand dollars over the signs looks like and that's what we spent i mean you know putting

00:10:48.980 up the showing exactly what we did if we bought ad space this is what the ad space cost and i

00:10:54.020 And I understand with a political party or everything, you've got staff, you've got line items, you've got research, you've got polling, a million things they could spend on and not necessarily efficiently, consultants and you name it.

00:11:04.400 This is just going to have a couple of items that we spend on and I will always disclose them so people can see, they'll know.

00:11:09.820 I reached into my pocket, I gave some of my hard-earned money to this group, and this is what came from it.

00:11:15.360 There's a tangible outcome from the money they donated and helping towards the cause.

00:11:21.440 And here's the thing.

00:11:22.080 I was just thinking this.

00:11:23.000 When you stick that in your front lawn, it's truly grassroots, Corey, isn't it?

00:11:27.740 It really is, yeah.

00:11:28.980 You like that?

00:11:29.520 There we go.

00:11:31.360 And so what I'm thinking of doing now, and, you know, during the petition campaign here on the calendar, I asked people to send me pictures of them out canvassing.

00:11:39.980 And I got hundreds of pictures.

00:11:41.440 The pictures on the boxes at Elections Alberta that day were pictures that were sent to me.

00:11:46.300 Mr. and Mrs. Alberta. They stuck them on that morning in Bonneville when Mitch Sylvester was

00:11:51.060 going over to Edmonton. What I want to do going ahead, once we get the signs in, I want people

00:11:55.320 to take pictures of the front of their house. If you can block out the address, if you can do that,

00:11:59.080 but send me the pictures and I'll start posting them online and I'll start putting them on the

00:12:02.700 calendar. We'll see all these thousands of them. Hopefully we'll end up on calendars going forward.

00:12:07.320 Corey, thanks so much for doing this. Thanks for moving forward with this and being proactive. We

00:12:13.400 need more of this. Not enough is happening right now. We won't be negative here, but not enough

00:12:18.860 is happening, but you're starting people on the way, showing us the way to go. So thanks very much

00:12:22.800 for this. Appreciate it. Thank you. And thanks for that donation. And yeah, promote it and give me

00:12:27.940 the time, John. You do great work for the independents so far. I love your videos. They're

00:12:31.520 part of my routine. If you've made it this far, thank you so much for watching. I'm going to put

00:12:35.940 the QR code right at the end of this video and leave it there for a bit so you can scan it with

00:12:40.300 your phone, don't forget coreymorgan.com. You can click on a link there. We'll have more information

00:12:45.560 in the future on how you can help out Corey when it comes to going out and delivering these signs

00:12:50.360 to people who want them. I hope I get one of the first so I can put it in my front lawn. Thank you

00:12:55.960 so much for watching this video. If you liked it, give it a thumbs up, subscribe to the channel,

00:12:59.880 ring the bell for notifications, share the code if you can with information on your social media

00:13:05.540 to help out Corey, and I'll see you in the next one.

00:13:10.300 You
