00:00:00.280 Hi, it's John and welcome to the channel. It is Wednesday, March the 18th, 418 a.m. with the big blue mug of coffee, which I tip to you if you are subscribed to the channel.
00:00:10.000 If not, if you click on it right now, I might make it to 13,000 subscribers today. Thanks so much. I do appreciate it.
00:00:16.840 So today, right here on this channel, you are going to hear the voice of the greatest political commentator of all time.
00:00:24.800 The greatest political broadcaster of all time. If you have heard this man's voice before, you are lucky.
00:00:30.900 If you've never heard this man's voice before, you will be blessed today.
00:00:35.480 And I'm going to play this clip in relation to what's going on in Canada right now.
00:00:39.900 I woke up this morning thinking four words. I don't even know most of the time what I'm going to talk about.
00:00:45.360 Sometimes I do, but this morning I woke up with four words going through my head.
00:00:49.880 And they were uttered by that broadcaster. I just mentioned, I hope he fails.
00:00:57.080 I find myself rooting against the country right now. Now, I'm not any big fan of Canada, but I don't want Canadians to suffer.
00:01:03.860 I don't want my family to suffer. We all live here. And we need this Trump turmoil torture to end.
00:01:10.280 Day to day, back and forth, tariffs, not tariffs. Yesterday, it was, you know, 50% tariffs on aluminum and steel because of Doug Ford.
00:01:18.820 Doug Ford has bent the knee, blah, blah, blah. It goes on day after day.
00:01:21.520 It can't be easy to invest right now in this country with all this turmoil going on.
00:01:27.480 But on Sunday, we had Mark Carney chosen as the new liberal leader and the new prime minister of the country.
00:01:33.500 I don't consider him a legit prime minister. I'm not going to argue that right now, but that's the way I feel about it.
00:01:39.580 And this man is now in charge of our country.
00:01:42.260 And I don't think anything's going to change in this country until we have an election here.
00:01:45.700 But this guy right now is in charge of our country.
00:01:48.320 And then I saw this article in the National Post yesterday, and I started thinking,
00:01:52.060 Oh my God, I'm rooting against Mark Carney and the country right now because I hope he fails.
00:01:57.360 Here it is. Trump's mad tariff crusade will sink itself. Carney just needs to wait for it.
00:02:03.500 As much as I want this Trump turmoil torture to end, I don't want it to end because of Mark Carney,
00:02:11.580 because that will doom conservatism in this country for at least the next five years.
00:02:16.260 Because Mark Carney will be given a huge win.
00:02:20.680 And we can't have that. We need an election. 0.85
00:02:25.660 I'm rooting against Canada right now. I'm rooting against ending this Trump turmoil.
00:02:31.160 Does that make me a bad person?
00:02:33.500 Then I thought about Rush Limbaugh. He's the broadcaster I was talking about earlier.
00:02:38.640 I'm going to take you back to January the 16th, 2009.
00:02:43.280 Now, four days later, a big event happened.
00:02:46.320 So think about January 20th, 2009.
00:02:49.680 What happened on that date?
00:02:51.500 I'm going to give you five seconds.
00:02:52.520 Barack Obama was inaugurated for the first time, and Rush Limbaugh went on the air and said four words.
00:03:04.540 I hope he fails.
00:03:06.420 Now, when you listen to this, and I've edited it slightly because it goes on for four and a half minutes.
00:03:10.400 Think about Mark Carney, not Barack Obama, and think of it from the standpoint of liberalism, which he mentions in here.
00:03:18.220 And Carney is a liberal, but more than being a liberal, Mark Carney is the head of a different ideology.
00:03:24.100 And he's almost at the top, the grand wizard of this ideology.
00:03:28.220 And it's the grand, and he's the head of the climate change religion.
00:03:33.320 Think of it from that standpoint when Limbaugh is talking about liberalism and socialism.
00:03:38.340 So here's the clip from Rush Limbaugh, January 16th, 2009.
00:03:43.940 I got a request here from a major American print publication.
00:03:52.760 Dear Rush, for the Obama Immaculate Inauguration, we are asking a handful of very prominent politicians,
00:04:01.280 statesmen, scholars, businessmen, commentators, and economists
00:04:05.520 to write 400 words on their hope for the Obama presidency.
00:04:10.400 We would love to include you.
00:04:12.500 If you could send us 400 words on your hope for the Obama presidency,
00:04:18.420 we need it by Monday night.
00:04:20.340 That would be ideal.
00:04:25.160 Now, see here, we're caught in this trap again.
00:04:29.120 The premise is, what is your hope for the Obama?
00:04:32.560 My hope, and please understand me when I say this,
00:04:37.720 I disagree fervently with the people on our side of the aisle who have caved and who say,
00:04:45.180 well, I hope he succeeds.
00:04:47.800 We've got to give him a chance.
00:04:50.880 Why?
00:04:52.240 They didn't give Bush a chance in 2000.
00:04:54.260 Before he was inaugurated, the search and destroy mission had begun.
00:04:59.600 I'm not talking about search and destroy,
00:05:01.480 but I've been enlisting to Barack Obama for a year and a half.
00:05:06.120 I know what his politics are.
00:05:09.000 I know what his plans are, as he has stated them.
00:05:13.800 I don't want them to succeed.
00:05:16.600 If I wanted Obama to succeed, I'd be happy the Republicans have laid down.
00:05:21.260 And I would be encouraging Republicans to lay down and support him.
00:05:25.520 I don't want, look, what he's talking about is the absorption of as much of the private sector
00:05:32.280 by the U.S. government as possible.
00:05:34.340 From the banking business, to the mortgage industry, to the automobile business, to the healthcare.
00:05:39.000 I do not want the government in charge of all of these things.
00:05:41.740 I don't want this to work.
00:05:44.740 So I'm thinking of replying to the guys,
00:05:47.040 okay, I'll send you a response, but I don't need 400 words.
00:05:49.960 I need four.
00:05:52.760 I hope he fails.
00:05:55.000 What is unfair about my saying, I hope liberalism fails?
00:05:59.200 Liberalism is our problem.
00:06:01.600 Liberalism is what's gotten us dangerously close to the precipice here.
00:06:05.360 Why do I want more of it?
00:06:07.460 It's amazing to hear his voice again.
00:06:10.520 I would tune in every day for him to listen to him talk for three hours.
00:06:13.860 He'd take 10 calls in five days.
00:06:15.660 It was just him, captivating.
00:06:17.360 So good.
00:06:18.820 I thought a lot about him during the election campaign between Trump and Harris.
00:06:22.720 It would have been fascinating to hear what he said.
00:06:24.620 Didn't matter what anybody else said.
00:06:25.920 I always thought, what would Limbaugh say?
00:06:27.920 Died a couple of years ago.
00:06:29.040 But when I heard him talking, he talks about liberalism.
00:06:32.860 But he says the absorption of as much of the U.S. government as possible when he's talking
00:06:38.300 about Obama, banking business, mortgage industry, automobile business, health care.
00:06:44.160 And when I heard him say that, I thought about Carney.
00:06:46.540 Carney and net zero.
00:06:48.140 No pipelines.
00:06:49.240 Climate tariffs on incoming goods.
00:06:50.980 Windmills.
00:06:51.580 Solar panels.
00:06:52.320 Keeping oil in the ground.
00:06:53.200 That's who Mark Carney is.
00:06:54.340 And that's what we'll get.
00:06:58.160 And I find myself thinking, how late could we have an election?
00:07:02.420 Well, the latest we could possibly have an election is October of 2026.
00:07:07.960 And I find myself kind of in a quandary because I'd rather have all this tariff turmoil go on
00:07:15.880 with Donald Trump until October of 2026 than Mark Carney get a win on this.
00:07:20.880 I hope he fails.
00:07:22.340 Now, I may be jumping the gun.
00:07:24.620 He may call an election real soon, which is what we need.
00:07:27.300 We have no government right now.
00:07:28.460 But that's the way I'm feeling.
00:07:30.920 Are you feeling the same way?
00:07:33.960 Let me know in the comments.
