Summary

Pierre-Olivier Polyev is an absolute beast when it comes to questioning the Prime Minister. And that's why debates are so important in the upcoming election. Here's a clip from a TV show from the 70's and 80's that proves it.

00:00:00.160 Hi there, it's John and welcome to the channel 543 AM on March the 11th.
00:00:06.460 It is Tuesday morning. Hope you're having a great day today.
00:00:09.260 I've got the big blue mug of coffee.
00:00:11.280 Thanks so much for watching yesterday's video,
00:00:13.380 how Pierre Polyev and the Conservatives basically made Mark Carney eat crow.
00:00:18.040 It's about how the Conservatives made the Liberals give up on their signature climate change plan,
00:00:24.400 which was the consumer carbon tax.
00:00:26.780 Many of you pointing out that there will be a carbon tax under Mark Carney.
00:00:29.620 We know that and Pierre Polyev mentioned it yesterday when he did a news conference.
00:00:35.160 And that's what I want to talk about today.
00:00:36.740 I want to talk about a tale of two leaders and how important it is for Pierre Polyev to ask questions of Mark Carney.
00:00:44.000 That's why debates are going to be very important in the upcoming election, whenever that may be.
00:00:50.140 A lot of people are saying it will come soon because the Liberals are riding high in the polls right now
00:00:54.540 and it will come fast, meaning it will be about the shortest period we can have
00:00:58.500 to have an election here in Canada, which I think is 37 days.
00:01:02.380 We need to have at least two debates in the last election.
00:01:05.780 Back in 2021, there was only one.
00:01:08.900 Debates are very important because Pierre Polyev is an absolute beast when it comes to ad-libbing,
00:01:15.140 extemporaneous speaking, when it comes to debating.
00:01:18.180 You've seen him in the House of Commons, you've seen the way he has debated against, well, a hostile journalist or a hostile news organization.
00:01:28.300 He's very good for it.
00:01:29.600 Mark Carney is a blithering idiot.
00:01:32.160 And when Mark Carney speaks, most of the time he says nothing.
00:01:36.540 Now, I'm probably going to get this video demonetized because I'm running this, but I want to run it because it proves a point.
00:01:46.340 Now, if you can give me a thumbs up or subscribe to the channel, that is payment enough for this video.
00:01:51.060 But watch this.
00:01:52.780 This is from a TV show from the 70s and 80s.
00:01:55.860 Now, there's three people in this.
00:01:57.400 There's the newsman, Les.
00:01:58.960 There's the sales manager, Herb.
00:02:00.740 And the owner of the radio station and general manager is named Mr. Carlson.
00:02:05.880 And he is running for council.
00:02:08.180 And Les is trying to tell Mr. Carlson how to answer every question, but by not answering any question.
00:02:15.920 So, those of you who are older like me will know this immediately, but this is Mark Carney.
00:02:20.840 The secret is to appear to answer all the questions, when in truth it's all mumbo-jumbo.
00:02:25.540 Here, let me show you.
00:02:27.220 Herb, ask me this question.
00:02:28.800 Sure.
00:02:29.080 Miss Candidate, what is your energy program?
00:02:34.660 Right now, I'm devoting a great deal of time and study to that problem.
00:02:39.720 And I expect to issue a position paper on that.
00:02:43.260 A position that is at once simple, yet complex.
00:02:49.460 Flexible.
00:02:50.460 And above all else, fair to every American.
00:02:54.740 So, that's Mark Carney.
00:03:00.320 Okay.
00:03:01.320 Those of you who are older know that's from one of the greatest TV programs of all time.
00:03:05.540 WKRP in Cincinnati.
00:03:07.160 So, basically what Mark Carney does is, he tries to justify what he's done, and then he uses a whole bunch of mumbo-jumbo, which means nothing, when it comes to answering the question.
00:03:16.440 And that's what that clip says.
00:03:18.280 So, I'm going to show you Pierre Polyev, who is an absolute beast, in just a moment.
00:03:23.080 But first, let me show you a clip of Mark Carney.
00:03:25.360 And this is how debates could really expose this guy.
00:03:28.280 And we've got to get Polyev and him face-to-face a number of times during debates, at least twice in the next election campaign.
00:03:36.020 So, here, from a couple of weeks ago, I did a video called, Mark Carney is an Idiot.
00:03:41.600 I'm not kidding.
00:03:42.760 That's what it's called.
00:03:43.880 You know, I thought about actually sending out an invitation to Mark Carney and his campaign team to see if I could get him here to do an interview.
00:03:51.940 I think I'm going to do some interviews here.
00:03:53.580 They're never going to come on this channel.
00:03:56.060 But I did this about the Rosemary Barton interview he did on the CBC.
00:04:01.640 Now, she's asking him about his business dealings.
00:04:04.480 And everybody wanted to know his business dealings prior to him becoming Prime Minister.
00:04:09.280 And he never answered the question.
00:04:12.480 So, here's me talking about that a couple of weeks back on this issue.
00:04:18.240 And I'll come back and talk about that and show you Pierre Polyev as well and how good he is when it comes to answering questions that should be easy to answer.
00:04:26.120 This is a setup that Carney should have seen coming a mile away.
00:04:30.960 Shouldn't we know?
00:04:32.140 Shouldn't he have to disclose his dealings prior to being voted in as the Prime Minister of the country in a couple of weeks?
00:04:38.680 Let's hear what he has to say about this.
00:04:40.260 You are not yet subject to ethics requirements.
00:04:43.820 I don't have any power, Rosie.
00:04:45.080 No, but would you...
00:04:46.220 And look at him.
00:04:47.400 He seems uncomfortable through this segment.
00:04:50.500 And he's going to say something that I've mentioned a couple of times in this video already.
00:04:53.480 Would you put anything out there for Canadians to better understand your business dealings and your financial picture before you're elected?
00:05:02.480 Obviously, I'm going to comply with all the ethics guidelines, conflicts of interest guidelines, blind trust.
00:05:07.920 But during an election, before you have a seat, would you be willing to show Canadians what they're dealing with and what you've been dealing with?
00:05:15.500 Well, let's be clear.
00:05:17.120 Let's be clear.
00:05:20.020 See, he's uncomfortable.
00:05:21.220 Look at him.
00:05:21.600 Okay.
00:05:23.100 I was UN Special Envoy for Climate Action.
00:05:26.440 I was chair of Bloomberg.
00:05:29.380 He doesn't even know what he's done because he's flustered.
00:05:33.060 I think there's something in the background.
00:05:34.560 What is he hiding?
00:05:38.120 Chair of Brookfield on a number of philanthropic boards and did a lot of charity and other work.
00:05:43.680 So that's all disclosed in the public domain.
00:05:47.020 I will immediately subject myself, if I am elected liberal leader, of course, I'm going to immediately subject myself to all the ethics guidelines, conflicts of interest.
00:05:56.100 So he goes about answering your question, but he doesn't answer the question.
00:05:59.320 Now, first off, one of the last things he says in that clip is, if I am elected liberal leader, I will immediately subject myself to all the ethics guidelines.
00:06:07.360 I want to know today what your business dealings are.
00:06:11.460 I should have known yesterday because that would have been immediately after Sunday when you were chosen the liberal leader.
00:06:17.140 Now, the other thing about this is he says, let me be clear.
00:06:19.940 And I made a reference to that in that clip a couple of weeks ago.
00:06:22.340 When somebody says, let me be clear, they're not being clear.
00:06:26.240 Whenever you hear a politician say that, they are not being clear.
00:06:29.500 So always question it when they say those things.
00:06:31.780 But he never answers the question.
00:06:33.500 Now, the other thing I find interesting about Mark Carney is this guy never seems to hold down a job for very long.
00:06:38.680 Have you noticed that?
00:06:40.760 He's in and out of jobs all the time.
00:06:42.260 What do you think about people who are constantly moving from job to job?
00:06:46.320 I don't think they're very good at it.
00:06:47.820 I don't think he was a very good Bank of Canada leader, Bank of England leader.
00:06:51.380 I mean, Liz Truss, former prime minister, thinks he's a freaking nightmare.
00:06:55.320 He's out of Brookfield now.
00:06:56.420 He's part of that G-Fans thing, which was the global warming thing.
00:06:59.740 He had to get himself out of that real quick because it's under investigation in the United States right now.
00:07:04.200 So somebody needs to ask him the question, Mr. Carney, why can't you hold a job?
00:07:08.240 So now let's look at Pierre Paglia.
00:07:09.840 Now, the other thing I guess maybe I should mention off the top was Carney should have seen that question coming from a million miles away.
00:07:16.120 He should have had a good answer to that question, but he didn't.
00:07:19.280 And he did look uncomfortable.
00:07:20.680 Now, here is Paglia yesterday when Mark Carney should have been out talking to people.
00:07:25.600 He was nowhere.
00:07:26.640 They're going to keep him hidden from you during the election campaign because as soon as he opens his mouth, he sounds stupid.
00:07:32.780 He sounds like an idiot.
00:07:34.380 Here is Paglia yesterday, and no doubt he's thought about this answer.
00:07:38.800 But people who really believe and have conviction are easily answered questions.
00:07:46.360 So Paglia knows everything he's done.
00:07:48.160 He's proud of it.
00:07:48.820 And boy, does he turn it around to Mark Carney.
00:07:50.840 Now, this clip is a little bit longer, but watch the whole thing because it's masterful.
00:07:54.840 And this is why I want to see him go up against Carney in a big way, at least two times.
00:07:59.220 And then there's a wild card coming up.
00:08:01.680 I want to show you that.
00:08:02.820 I might be just speculating way too much, but there might be a wild card in upcoming debates.
00:08:08.500 So stay tuned for that.
00:08:09.400 Pierre Paglia yesterday.
00:08:10.880 Mr. Paglia, what economic and diplomatic experience do you have to go up against Donald Trump?
00:08:17.540 Quite a lot, actually.
00:08:18.500 So I was the Minister of Jobs and Housing in the Harper government, during which time housing costs half as much as it does today.
00:08:28.580 I helped Mr. Harper cut the GST, cut income tax, cut business tax, and balance the budget.
00:08:36.520 Over my time in Parliament, I've been scrutinizing and studying the books on the Public Accounts Committee, the Operations Committee, the Finance Committee.
00:08:47.180 And if you want any proof that my economic ideas are the best, the Liberals are all trying to pretend that they're copying them right before the election.
00:08:56.460 All the big economic questions of the last five years, Mark Carney has been wrong and exactly wrong, and I have been right.
00:09:04.740 I said five years ago the money printing would cause inflation.
00:09:08.100 He said deflation was on the horizon.
00:09:11.120 I turned out to be right.
00:09:12.540 I said the carbon tax would drive up food prices, and it did.
00:09:15.940 I drove them up 37% faster in Canada than in the United States of America.
00:09:21.040 I was the first parliamentarian to predict that we would have the inflation crisis,
00:09:25.240 while Carney, Freeland, Trudeau, and others were saying that we would not.
00:09:29.840 I was the first one to be, along with my Conservative colleagues, fighting for pipelines.
00:09:34.760 Pipelines now everyone claims that they support after opposing them for the last 10 years.
00:09:39.060 So if Mr Carney is so smart on economics, how is it that he was so wrong for so long on all of the economic issues?
00:09:48.620 One thing I don't have experience with is taking jobs out of Canada, moving them to the United States,
00:09:55.040 selling out our resource workers to support Middle Eastern resource workers.
00:09:59.600 That's not the kind of experience that I have, but that's not the kind of experience that we want.
00:10:05.660 Polyev is just so good at this.
00:10:07.980 He's one of the best.
00:10:09.320 That's why we have to have at least two debates, and he needs to get out in front of this right now.
00:10:13.680 I mean, if a debate is called quick, there will only be one.
00:10:16.420 He needs to challenge Carney and the rest of the candidates to at least two debates in the next election.
00:10:21.160 He needs to do that right now.
00:10:22.820 Now, who's involved in the debates?
00:10:25.020 Well, you'd have Polyev, Carney, Elizabeth Mays, the Green leader, Blanchet, and Singh.
00:10:30.160 Who's left out of this?
00:10:31.260 Now, this is the wild card.
00:10:32.460 Now, I may be completely wrong in this, but Maxime Bernier is going to make a stink about not being involved in the debates.
00:10:40.200 Now, if Bernier were involved, who would he hurt the most?
00:10:43.940 I think he would hurt Polyev.
00:10:45.740 So, don't be surprised if somebody floats a question out to Carney, if this becomes an issue, and they ask him if Bernier should be in, and Carney says yes, because they want to hurt Polyev.
00:10:57.160 I'm just throwing that out as a wild card, but it could be something coming down the road.
00:11:02.200 Anyway, what do you think?
00:11:03.160 Let me know.
