Hi it's John and welcome to the channel. Hope you're having a great day today. How's it going?
00:00:05.120
Kind of a how's it going video today. I'm going to talk about some things that kind of have slipped
00:00:10.720
under the radar I guess you could say. Some of these things pretty high profile. Nobody's really
00:00:15.260
talking about them anymore and I'm wondering why. It is 5 55 a.m. Saturday January the 4th. Big blue
00:00:21.880
mug of coffee as usual this morning. Number one on the list. How is that tax holiday working out
00:00:28.640
for you in Canada? For those people that don't know Trudeau on December 15th allowed people to
00:00:34.600
save a little bit of money on the GST or the HST here in the country. Very little because very few
00:00:40.580
things are actually affected by this so-called tax holiday. Now I'm always for a tax break but very
00:00:46.480
few people are talking about this. The media is not talking about this. The liberals haven't been
00:00:50.420
touting it all that much. Crickets from people who are supposed to benefit from it because it really
00:00:56.020
doesn't benefit us that much at all. Most of the things that are on the list that you can save
00:01:00.520
money on I don't buy anyway. So all it's really doing is blowing an extra 3 billion dollar hole
00:01:06.640
in our deficit. Hey we've got a 62 billion dollar deficit. What's another 3 billion dollars on top
00:01:12.920
of that? Number two on the list. Tick, tick, tick. I did the numbers. I ran it through Google. 87 days
00:01:20.400
until we get a permanent tax hike here in Canada courtesy of Justin Trudeau and the Liberal Party
00:01:26.120
in that form of that carbon tax. The tax will then be at 20 cents extra on a liter of gasoline. Now I
00:01:33.060
ran the numbers. Just some rudimentary calculations here. But if you've got a 50 liter tank that means an
00:01:38.560
extra 10 dollars on every tank of gas. Now here's something that's rather frightening. Let's look at some
00:01:44.920
news stories. Now apparently, if I remember correctly, we got the carbon tax for the first time in 2019.
00:01:50.700
But here's a news story from it going up on April 1st of 2020. Here's one from April 1st 2021,
00:01:57.960
2022, 2023, 2024, and Guibo says that we will not be pausing the carbon tax in 2025. Now what is this
00:02:08.760
doing for you other than raising the cost of everything? Well apparently this is supposed to be
00:02:13.540
good for the environment. But no matter how much you pay in carbon tax, no matter how much we do to
00:02:18.320
stop global warming, according to the climate cult, it keeps getting worse. Isn't that amazing?
00:02:23.600
Now I have a quote, and yes, I have memorized this quote that I always remember. It's from H.L. Mencken.
00:02:29.620
The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed and hence clamorous to be led to
00:02:36.700
safety by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary.
00:02:42.300
Number three on the list. Have you heard the latest from the CBC? You know, the Canadian Broadcorp
00:02:48.600
incastration? Well apparently, CBC executives have got hurt feelings because people are critical of
00:02:55.820
their executive bonuses, which amount to $14.9 million of your money. Now apparently, the executives
00:03:04.080
at the CBC are doing a bang-up job. 97% of them got a bonus this year. Did you get a bonus? Of course
00:03:12.280
not. Now there's a guy named Chuck Thompson. You're paying him. Who knows who this guy is, but he is the
00:03:18.100
chief of staff to the CBC's executive vice president. He emailed out on August 12th that media coverage was
00:03:25.180
very disappointing and frustrating regarding their bonuses. Well Chuck, you know what's disappointing and
00:03:30.640
frustrating, having to pay you, and having to pay for a very disappointing and frustrating cost of living in Canada.
00:03:37.640
Mr. Polyev, do what you say you're going to do to fund the CBC. Make it quick, make it harsh, make it brutal,
00:03:44.640
and at the same time, no money to any news organization paid for by the Trudeau government. We cannot have an objective
00:03:51.720
media, it includes the CBC, if it is paid for by the government. Number four on the list. Where are the traitors? It is an issue
00:04:00.640
that's talked about occasionally, but it's kind of flying under the radar right now. Apparently, we have a
00:04:05.640
number of sitting members of parliament who have been influenced by the Chinese Communists. They've been called
00:04:11.640
quote, witting affiliates of the Chinese Communist Party. Who are they? Are people going to go to the polls,
00:04:19.640
possibly, this year, voting for people who are working for the Chinese Communist Party? Trudeau has acted on
00:04:25.640
this. Pierre Polyev has to. Whether the traitors are re-elected or not, they should possibly go to jail if they're
00:04:32.640
found guilty in a court of law. They should have their pensions revoked as well. You know, we're talking a lot about
00:04:37.640
money issues, which are really bad, but having communists in the Canadian government and having our elections
00:04:43.640
influenced by the CHICOMs is something that really needs to be looked into and should be talked about a lot more than it is.
00:04:49.640
Number five on the list, tax hikes. You've probably heard a lot about tax hikes coming this year. Payroll taxes are going up.
00:04:57.640
You might be slipping into another tax bracket, so make sure you watch out for that. Alcohol taxes going up.
00:05:03.640
Mandatory hikes in the Canada Pension Plan. Employment insurance. And, of course, the capital gains tax is going up this year.
00:05:10.640
Now, business people say this is going to be bad for investment, bad for the economy, but no idea is stupid enough
00:05:16.640
for the Trudeau government not to propose it and pass it. My question is, who voted for this in Parliament?
00:05:22.640
Well, the answer is, nobody. It hasn't been voted on, but the Canada Revenue Agency is doing it anyway.
00:05:28.640
I don't even know how that's possible. Number six on the list, some good news. I got this in my inbox today from
00:05:35.640
Michelle Rumpel-Garner, MP for Calgary Nose Hill. Trudeau may announce decision to leave before Monday.
00:05:42.640
Now, we had heard he was going to do it on Friday. That day has passed. But as Michelle Rumpel-Garner says,
00:05:47.640
Canada needs the certainty a general election will provide not more Liberal Party drama.
00:05:53.640
More good news for you. Polls say it doesn't matter who the Liberals run. As their leader, they're going to lose
00:05:59.640
big time to the Conservatives. I still think the election will come in October.
