00:00:00.000 Hi, it's John and welcome to the Independence Calendar
00:00:28.060 for Sunday, April the 19th.
00:00:30.080 I believe this is episode number 20.
00:00:33.380 Might be 19, but it could be number 20.
00:00:36.960 I've been doing this since the beginning of the year.
00:00:39.260 I enjoy doing it.
00:00:40.600 I get a lot of email from you
00:00:42.160 and thank you so much for participating in this.
00:00:45.300 You're part of this show I do every week
00:00:47.600 by sending me your independent stuff
00:00:49.960 at johnboltonab at gmail.com.
00:00:52.760 I try to get to all of the email, read them,
00:00:56.540 Maybe comment on them if I do comment.
00:00:58.940 Generally, it's rather short
00:01:00.280 because I get hundreds of email every week.
00:01:03.220 But again, thank you so much for being part of this.
00:01:05.440 So what do we have coming up this week?
00:01:06.920 Well, I do have your submissions coming up
00:01:09.100 and I got some great ones like usual,
00:01:11.120 people out signing people up on the petition.
00:01:13.660 I've got some great, beautiful pictures
00:01:15.620 with the mountains in the background.
00:01:17.200 And somebody sent me a video, which is so Alberta.
00:01:21.100 Somebody on a horse with an Alberta flag
00:01:23.960 running through a field, it's great.
00:01:26.160 I'll have that for you in just a few minutes.
00:01:29.300 I also talked to Tyson Rojovich.
00:01:31.800 Tyson involved with a lot of slow rolls and convoys.
00:01:35.140 They're doing these pretty much every Sunday.
00:01:37.200 They've got one going on today.
00:01:38.680 So if you're watching this on Sunday, April 19th,
00:01:41.660 before two o'clock,
00:01:43.100 there's an event happening in Edmonton today.
00:01:45.520 You'll want to be part of it.
00:01:47.180 I asked Tyson about it.
00:01:48.540 So I've got that for you on the channel as well.
00:01:51.800 I've got other events and activities.
00:01:53.660 And in particular, I want to talk to you about a group that's going around the province holding hundreds of events.
00:02:00.420 I was at one in Delburn the other night, and it was just fantastic.
00:02:04.860 So I'll tell you about some of those events.
00:02:06.820 There's no way you can miss being at an independence event because hundreds of them are happening.
00:02:12.360 And also, I had a talk with Mitch Sylvester the other day, and Mitch was great to give me a bit of his time.
00:02:19.480 We're getting down to the end of the petition-signing campaign right now.
00:02:23.080 And Mitch says, if we could just get a little bit more money in, it helps with the movement,
00:02:28.020 the independence movement.
00:02:29.020 So if you can make a donation, you can go to stayfreealberta.com and do that more with
00:02:34.080 Mitch on part of the interview I put up the other day.
00:02:37.400 Now, if you are interested, you can go to stayfreealberta.com.
00:02:40.600 Here is the website right here.
00:02:42.400 You can still sign up.
00:02:44.020 Now, here's the thing.
00:02:45.960 We are getting down to the nitty gritty when it comes to the petition signing campaign.
00:02:50.540 It's hard to believe, but it was on January 2nd when we started this thing up.
00:02:55.000 And it's been rolling ever since.
00:02:57.540 And it's April 26th when they want all the paperwork in from the canvassers.
00:03:02.080 And I'm sure some of them will be packing things up before the 26th.
00:03:06.140 If you've been waiting, if you've been procrastinating, now is the time to sign.
00:03:12.800 Because you're going to run out of time probably by this time next week.
00:03:17.300 There are still signing locations out there.
00:03:19.520 You can go to stayfreealberta.com, find a location, and again, like I said, some of these people are probably going to wrap things up sometime this week, and a number of these will disappear off this map.
00:03:30.780 Now, something that I've noticed, I'm going to take myself off the screen so you can see the whole thing here.
00:03:36.340 If you're interested in finding out things about Stay Free Alberta, you can just go to their X account.
00:03:41.140 great stuff on here and you'll get very inspired as well because you'll see so many fantastic
00:03:46.780 graphics and pictures and you'll get information and you'll see lots of blue flags and you'll see
00:03:55.760 enthusiastic people and you'll see videos let me just get rid of my phone you'll see amazing videos
00:04:06.720 I should put it on Do Not Disturb. You'll see fantastic comments and you'll be part of something
00:04:12.500 if you go to Stay Free Alberta on X or follow them on a place like Facebook. There's John talking
00:04:18.920 to Albertans right there. Sign the petition here. So check out X, Stay Free Alberta. It's a fantastic
00:04:25.600 place to go. Now, as far as events happening across the province, going to make this real easy this
00:04:30.220 week because I was out on Wednesday night in Delburn. It was an awful night weather-wise. It
00:04:35.060 was the most atrocious drive home. And I remember when I was looking at the weather on Wednesday
00:04:41.640 morning, we were expecting 10 to 20 centimeters of snow, blowing snow, nasty weather in spring here
00:04:47.820 in Southern Alberta. And I thought about staying home. I really did. And I said, no, I can't let
00:04:52.680 the people in Dulburn down. We've got to go out there. We've got a group of people. I went out
00:04:56.900 there with Mr. and Mrs. Albertan. John talking to Albertans was there. Chris Scott was there. Ben
00:05:03.300 Crane was there. Zane Novak spoke. Corey Morgan was there. It was outstanding. I met so many
00:05:08.140 nice people. I may have met you. I love meeting people. And Let's Talk Alberta, I found out the
00:05:13.840 other night, that they are doing hundreds of events. Now, my friend Laura, who got in touch
00:05:19.900 with me and asked me to head out to Delburn, she sent me an email with all the different graphics
00:05:24.960 of the events. But all you have to do is go to their website, letstalkalberta.com. If you want
00:05:30.300 to feel part of this movement, go to one of these events. So let's just take a look at the website
00:05:35.820 here. And I want to just show you a few of the things that are coming up. This is coming up
00:05:40.780 right here that you may want to be part of. I might be going to this event myself coming up on
00:05:45.260 May 2nd. They're having a fundraiser for Let's Talk Alberta because it takes money to get these
00:05:52.040 things done, folks. At the Whistle Stop Cafe, they're going to have a live auction. They're
00:05:56.880 going to accept donations. They're going to have some food out there. So you may want to check that
00:06:00.620 out, but you go down here and you can see some of the events that are coming up. And I want to just
00:06:04.900 go over a few of these and you can see how many are happening. And they're scheduling more like
00:06:09.160 this every week, more than 200. I asked Zane Novak about that. He said, yeah, it's something
00:06:14.900 like 260 and he's going to be at a lot of them. So this one's coming up on Tuesday, April 21st.
00:06:21.540 This one's coming up on the 21st. You've got one coming up on the 22nd. So we're in the Edmonton
00:06:26.720 area, Calgary, Redcliffe, Edson on the 23rd. You've also got one in Fort McLeod on the 23rd
00:06:33.100 with various different speakers, all good speakers. Tilly, this one coming up on the 28th.
00:06:39.560 This one coming up in Gibbons on the 28th. So a couple happening at the same time.
00:06:43.520 And then this one on Wednesday, the 29th, Forestburg. So there's so many of these events
00:06:48.740 happening. Go to letstalkalberta.com. You can donate to them because this is spreading the
00:06:54.760 independence movement and i appreciate with what chris scott and all the people who go out are
00:07:00.300 going out so many times a week just to spread the independence movement now this event is coming up
00:07:06.180 as well i want to tell you about this is coming up next saturday and this is happening in red deer
00:07:12.460 they're going to do um an all hands on deck blue wave and you can see where it's set up here
00:07:18.580 basically the same place it was was it just last week or the week before 19th street and gates
00:07:24.340 Avenue. If you'd like to go out to something like this, it's really fun. Bring along your flags.
00:07:30.160 And this one is an event that's happening. My friend Wade from Sylvan Lake is doing this next
00:07:35.040 Saturday. And I will be going to this one in Sylvan Lake. We're going to line the lake next
00:07:40.820 Saturday with flags. So hopefully you can come out to that. And again, let me bring it up so you can
00:07:48.340 just see where it is again. Meeting Point, parking lot, 5104 Lakeshore Drive, two o'clock next
00:07:55.520 Saturday. I will see you there. So these are some of the things that are happening over the next
00:08:01.720 week or so. Let's Talk Alberta. Check them out. And if you have an event, please let me know about
00:08:07.320 it. Graphics are great. They're much easier for me to go over, but send them to me at johnboltonab
00:08:13.460 at gmail.com. Send me your pictures, your videos, your events. I would love to see them.
00:08:20.320 Now let's talk to Tyson Rojovich. He's got an event coming up later today, two o'clock this
00:08:28.340 afternoon. If you're watching this on Sunday, April 19th, this is happening in the Edmonton
00:08:32.600 area. So I spoke with Tyson earlier this morning. Joined now by Tyson Rojovich, one of the co-organizers,
00:08:39.220 Alberta Patriot as well. I got to get one of those sweatshirts. I keep saying that. I got the hats.
00:08:45.860 I keep getting more hats, but I don't have one of the sweatshirts. It's great to have you along
00:08:49.980 today. You've got an event coming up today. And thanks for the last minute getting in touch with
00:08:54.020 me here. You're having a kind of a slow roll. I think you're calling it a massive blue mile
00:08:58.840 convoy. More of these blue miles across Alberta all the time. Tell us what's going on in the
00:09:04.100 Edmonton area today. Yeah, well, once again, thanks a lot as well, John. I really appreciate
00:09:08.660 what you do thanks for um you know reaching out to me here like i said we we really appreciate
00:09:13.460 you know you getting the exposure out there i mean without any exposure nobody knows anything
00:09:17.940 that's happening so once again thank you thank you for doing that and yeah pleasure um yeah we're
00:09:22.820 really excited today we got an event like you said the slow roll convoy that's going to be happening
00:09:26.740 in atchison well there'll actually be groups coming from different places like white court
00:09:30.900 and whatnot um i'm not sure if i can mention her name but there's a group coming from that way and
00:09:36.420 We'll eventually be meeting up in Atchison, just outside of Edmonton, which will be right beside the Husky.
00:09:41.620 The actual address is 266th Street and 114th Avenue.
00:09:46.900 You can't miss it.
00:09:48.240 It's right by the Tim Hortons Husky and the Cal Tire.
00:09:51.000 But that's where we'll be meeting up for 2 o'clock today.
00:09:54.020 And that's where our starting point will be.
00:09:56.060 And then we'll be heading into Edmonton and, you know, taking over Edmonton.
00:09:59.080 And we're going to do the whole loop around the Anthony Handy and then meet on back in Atchison and just kind of get together and interact with people.
00:10:09.320 And like I said, it's just a beautiful atmosphere with these people getting together.
00:10:12.720 I'm just really pumped and excited about it.
00:10:14.560 Just Alberta's getting behind this stuff.
00:10:17.200 It is.
00:10:17.560 You know, people often get in touch with me here, Tyson, and they say, you know, I'd like to do some events.
00:10:23.540 And I try to tell them about as many as I can.
00:10:25.560 They're happening all over the place.
00:10:27.060 This is a simple thing you can do.
00:10:28.320 if you want to be part of this, I'll put the maps up on the screen so people know where to go.
00:10:33.200 You're going to be meeting just west of Edmonton and doing the whole. But people, these are great
00:10:37.860 ways to meet people and to really participate. If you got a blue flag and you can put it on your
00:10:43.420 truck, or if you don't just show up because they are so much fun and you'll really feel like you're
00:10:48.200 part of this thing. We were talking before we started recording here and you thank me for what
00:10:54.040 I do I'm thanking you for what you do I thank my friends uh Mr. and Mrs. Albertan for what they do
00:10:59.840 I absolutely love those guys I meet people out in Delburn the other night they thank me I thank
00:11:05.500 them you're showing up you're supporting everybody's doing a little thing and it becomes a big
00:11:09.640 thing and that's what I love about these events absolutely you nailed it right there John yeah so
00:11:15.580 there's nothing else to say see you later no yeah yeah yeah no like I said just just like I said um
00:11:21.240 know being a part of these things i mean it honestly i i can't express how beautiful it is
00:11:25.880 like the feeling of albertic patriotism as people just everyday people coming together and you can
00:11:32.200 actually feel the hope the energy and and just like i said just talking about just makes my hair
00:11:37.240 stand up with all honesty like i said honestly it's that powerful when you get together with
00:11:41.000 people and you see happiness you know and and then then they just get charged by all the support of
00:11:46.840 the honks and the you know the waves and stuff like that it's just like i said absolutely beautiful
00:11:51.320 i'm so proud about i've never been so proud of a flag as the alberta flag like i mean it's just
00:11:55.800 beautiful as we're talking right now i just went through all my email people send me pictures and
00:12:01.800 i've got some amazing videos this week of people going through fields on horses with the blue flag
00:12:08.360 i've got this video coming up that's just amazing and it is you're right i just love this flag you
00:12:14.520 You can't see that one.
00:12:16.100 There's one on the wall behind me.
00:12:17.640 This thing pops up when I do Zoom calls with my little logo there.
00:12:22.200 They're everywhere, right?
00:12:23.180 Yeah, I've got flags.
00:12:24.620 I've got three or four of them now.
00:12:25.800 And you're right.
00:12:26.300 It is really fantastic when you see that flag and people bring it out.
00:12:29.600 And it's waving behind cars.
00:12:31.800 And I've been part of some of these.
00:12:33.000 I've been a part of these convoys as well.
00:12:36.060 It is really fun.
00:12:37.360 You're doing these things regularly as well, right?
00:12:39.800 Yeah.
00:12:40.980 We've been doing it every Sunday.
00:12:42.200 Yeah. And you're coordinating with other people. So make sure you get back to me telling me about
00:12:46.560 the next one you got coming up. We'll have you back on the channel and talk about this. But
00:12:50.100 again, this one is happening starting at two o'clock today in Atchison, just to the west of
00:12:55.120 Edmonton. Show up, show your enthusiasm, say hi, shake some hands. Absolutely. Be a happy person
00:13:02.000 because so many people are happy. Exactly. Yeah. And meet some people and meet friends and
00:13:07.180 independence is what I call it. And you'll feel like you're part of this more than you are even
00:13:11.720 now after you sign the petition. So thanks for this, Tyson. I do appreciate it. Thanks very much.
00:13:16.300 Thank you so much, John, for all you do. Like I said, let's just get this done. Woo! Let's go.
00:13:20.420 Yeah, absolutely. Let's go. You betcha. Thanks. Tyson Rehovich,
00:13:23.840 co-organizer. This event happening at two o'clock today.
00:13:33.080 The great spirit of Alberta patriotism has been awakened. It's time for independence.
00:13:41.720 Thanks a lot to Tyson for doing that and creating that crazy graphic at the end that you saw.
00:13:48.400 Tyson doing a small part for the independence movement, as we all are.
00:13:52.540 And if you'd like to help out, put on a good show in Edmonton today at 2 o'clock.
00:13:56.660 I hope to have Tyson on the calendar in upcoming weeks.
00:13:59.920 Now let's take a look at your submissions, the ones you sent to me at johnboltonab at gmail.com.
00:14:11.720 So we'll start out the submissions with what has become kind of a rallying cry for the
00:14:18.880 independence movement. As Mitch says, let's go and we'll start things off with Kim this week.
00:14:24.520 She sent this in of Ben collecting signatures on Easter Monday, talking about the bad weather
00:14:30.020 that day. Lots of it since the petition signing began. People still out there and they still got
00:14:34.980 signatures on this day. No title to Bruce's email, but a great picture here. The picture says it all.
00:14:40.860 Thanks to Bruce. This from Strathmore. Ken sent this in from the Walmart signing there. I know
00:14:46.540 Strathmore quite well. When I first moved to Alberta, I lived in Strathmore for six weeks.
00:14:52.180 Vince, a couple of pictures from Red Deer, who mentioned that he was at Jason Levine's Bearing
00:14:57.180 Witness event in Red Deer a couple of weeks ago. Thanks for mentioning that, Vince. It was a great
00:15:01.760 event. Thanks to Jason for inviting me. Brian in Lethbridge in the snow with a great setup here.
00:15:07.240 Thanks, Brian. Three pictures from Katrina with David and Linda collecting signatures.
00:15:13.080 They said they got lots of friendly honks and it is a great flag. You bet. Kim, look what she's done
00:15:18.480 to create these amazing flags. I guess you could call these living flags. Very creative. Well done
00:15:26.120 to Kim. Thanks for sending me these photos. More from Katrina. Another photo in Leduc. Here she is
00:15:32.820 waving a flag with Donna and Bert. LeVar sent this in, and LeVar, you know I want one of these.
00:15:38.660 I mentioned this before. I want a Let's Go hat. Email me, johnboltonab at gmail.com, and let me
00:15:46.040 know where I can get one. Leanne here with four pictures from Delburn, and a great event the other
00:15:51.600 night on Wednesday, which I was at with Chris Scott, Ben Crane, Zane Novak talking, Corey
00:15:57.240 Morgan there, Full House. Pictures with me and John talking with Albertans, Mrs. Albertan,
00:16:03.400 and young Kalem with me, and one of him with Max from Freedom Calendar. Kalem is all in for
00:16:09.440 independence and got up to ask a question. Thanks for the videos of me as well. I do appreciate it.
00:16:15.140 Jeff with a photo of Lynn and Bob at Dixon Crossing. Beautiful sunshine there as well.
00:16:21.240 Jeff, a couple of pictures with Freddie from Freddie's Freedom Corner in Airdrie.
00:16:27.520 Ron sent me this.
00:16:28.740 Is there anything more Albertan?
00:16:31.100 Look at this.
00:16:32.300 A horse in a field with a flag.
00:16:34.900 Enjoy this one.
00:16:41.600 Chris sent this one in.
00:16:43.340 This is magnificent.
00:16:44.560 They had an independence cruise from Fort McLeod to Blairmore.
00:16:48.240 This is Ryder on Squirtz, the horse.
00:16:50.380 I love this. Thanks so much for this. Agnes sent these in. I guess these are from Lacombe,
00:16:56.280 Pinocca, Wetaskiwin, and Musquichese. I think that's how you pronounce it. I think so. Musquichese?
00:17:01.860 Yes. Canvasser Appreciation Lunch. Yesterday, by the way, Bev made some cakes. Chris Scott
00:17:08.380 dropped by with Shane, who was out in Delburn the other night, who speaks at Let's Talk Alberta
00:17:12.800 events as well. The last cake with pictures of leaders of independence, the people I can make
00:17:17.600 out with my 61-year-old eyes, Mitch Sylvester, Jeff Rath, Dr. Dennis Modry, Tanya Clemens,
00:17:23.860 Zane Novak, Chris Scott, Angela Tabak, who I'm going to be doing a show with tomorrow night,
00:17:28.840 which I'll tell you about probably tomorrow. Many others on there. Thanks for these pictures.
00:17:33.940 Also, Doug from a drive in Fort McLeod and Blairmore. Abraham, who has sent me a lot of
00:17:39.420 great pictures from out in the Canmore area with his son at the Blue Mile Rally on Highway 1
00:17:44.620 and Highway 22 intersection.
00:17:47.180 And Jess, thank you so much for all your great pictures.
00:17:49.600 Back with this picture from a Blue Mile in Grand Prairie.
00:17:53.600 Keep them coming.
00:17:55.620 We're likely to see fewer of them with fewer petition places
00:17:58.540 and that part of the campaign coming to an end.
00:18:01.260 Anything independence, johnboltonab at gmail.com.
00:18:05.540 We are Alberta, child and free.
00:18:09.580 Forced by word and destiny.
00:18:12.860 Another great batch of submissions this week.
00:18:15.440 I think I'll see fewer of them over the next few weeks as we end the petition signing campaign,
00:18:20.620 as I talked about a little bit earlier on.
00:18:22.920 So what I want you to do is this.
00:18:24.680 If you're at an event and you're doing something with Alberta Independence,
00:18:28.560 or you've got a flag on your house, or you're proud of something with the Alberta Independence Movement,
00:18:33.480 maybe a sticker you put on your car, send it to me in upcoming weeks.
00:18:37.100 Or if you're at one of the events, maybe one of the Let's Talk Alberta events I told you about,
00:18:41.720 send me a video or a picture from those events. I would love to see them because I want to keep
00:18:46.160 this going through the upcoming weeks. Now, my interview section this week had an opportunity
00:18:51.980 to talk with Mitch Sylvester. They put out a call in a letter on Facebook and X this week
00:18:58.840 saying, listen, we're getting to the end of the petition signing and there are costs to what
00:19:04.680 we're doing here. Mitch asking people for a little donation. So I had a chance to talk with Mitch
00:19:09.760 about that and some other things. I went on X. First thing this morning, Stay Free Alberta popped
00:19:14.740 up. First thing, there was a message there, a letter from Stay Free Alberta saying, hey folks,
00:19:20.060 we are in our final push to collect more signatures. But you're asking people to make a donation right
00:19:25.520 now to Stay Free Alberta as we get to the end of this petition campaign. And I thought it was
00:19:30.460 important to maybe get you on and maybe urge people to do that, but get the reasons why you
00:19:35.200 think this is important right now? Well, it's important for us to get to, you know, to the end
00:19:39.820 of our budget cycle. We were, you know, probably $40,000, $50,000 short there. And, you know,
00:19:46.360 we've got two weeks to go. And generally our donations have been covering everything up from
00:19:50.680 here to there. So it's very important for us to be able to get to that. We have to raise the money
00:19:56.360 and we will. And, you know what, we're going into a money raising phase for the next phase as well,
00:20:03.720 through Alberta Prosperity Project as well.
00:20:08.060 But right now, we need the money in Stay Free Alberta,
00:20:10.720 and then we're going to move into the next phase
00:20:13.040 with Alberta Prosperity Project.
00:20:15.120 And it's going to be a big deal.
00:20:16.620 I mean, we're going to be asking...
00:20:18.040 We discussed this the other day.
00:20:19.400 We had a meeting on Steps Forward,
00:20:22.040 and it came up that they think that the federal government
00:20:24.520 and the provincial government are going to spend
00:20:25.780 somewhere in a $20, $30 million range
00:20:27.540 against fighting this movement that we have going.
00:20:32.300 so you know what if we got you know money from all of us uh a little bit of money from everybody
00:20:38.180 that would make it you know many hands make light work and that would really help out you know i
00:20:42.880 mean anything will help out i i'm just wondering we're we're stay free alberta right now if you're
00:20:48.520 to give money i know i've asked you this before the money that has been donated and i've donated
00:20:52.840 money it's been spent you've been using this money for events and activities big four events these
00:20:57.540 things don't these things don't come cheap it's important to have that money what happens to the
00:21:01.440 money if you have any left over or do you expect any to be left over and to go into the next
00:21:05.480 campaign i think we've got it all covered right now i think it'll all be gone what happens to it
00:21:10.540 it goes back to elections alberta to a charity okay okay good stuff so you'll see and you're
00:21:16.600 capped basically in what you can spend in this in this part of this campaign which is the petition
00:21:21.560 campaign we're about 35 or 40 000 short of what we can spend okay well let's make that money up so
00:21:27.700 the way to do that, go to stayfreealberta.com. It's simple. There's a button, donate, and just
00:21:32.800 hit that button and make a donation and just do that right now. And that'd be terrific. It's a
00:21:37.220 small little bit, you know, Mitch, you have so many people saying that they'd like to help out
00:21:41.340 a little bit, but they can't get out. They may be shut-ins. They have a physical disability. How
00:21:45.540 can I help? How can I help? This is the way to do it, right? That is absolutely huge help. You know
00:21:51.640 what? We're going to be looking for the ways to help moving forward too, because with our big
00:21:55.800 group. It's easy for the professional campaigners to come in and say, you know what, kind of step
00:22:00.800 out of the road, guys. We're going to take care of this for you. But I think we have a tremendous
00:22:04.980 resource and we have a great group of people. And I think they all want to help right to the very
00:22:08.920 end. And we're going to try and make sure that everybody has a job. I have a couple of more
00:22:12.740 questions regarding how we move forward here, but you brought it up. We're talking about people
00:22:17.440 here. I did a video yesterday, this grassroots movement we've got going on and talking about
00:22:23.440 Thomas Lukasik, who was out at the Canadian club with his chandeliers and white tablecloths and no
00:22:28.620 doubt an entrance fee to get in. I was out in Delbert in the other night, everybody got in for
00:22:32.660 free. Chris Scott, Zane Novak, Ben Crane were speaking there. Corey Morgan showed up 300 people
00:22:39.180 on a pretty bad night with weather. And Zane Novak was on the stage. And I mentioned this
00:22:44.620 before we went on. And I said, I wanted to tell you something. So Zane goes up and he did the
00:22:50.080 regular question that you've probably been asking and gets asked at all the different meetings
00:22:53.740 how many people are at their first independence meeting and mitch i was standing at the back of
00:22:59.460 the room and a third of the people in the room put their hands up and there was this there was a there
00:23:04.880 was a a gasp and everybody applauded and i interviewed zane after mitch and i said you
00:23:11.120 asked this question he said i had to rewrite my speech in my head because this doesn't happen and
00:23:16.880 this was two nights after the liberals got the majority.
00:23:19.320 Are you, are you hearing this, seeing this kind of thing?
00:23:21.860 Well, let me share with you.
00:23:23.360 Okay, good.
00:23:24.200 I was in Lethbridge, um, Tuesday night and there was about 250 ish people in the
00:23:32.060 room, same question, more than half of the room.
00:23:37.300 Awesome.
00:23:38.440 And you know what we get, we, we got, we got a lot of that traditionally.
00:23:42.620 It's generally 30 to 40% of the room that's new, but that night there,
00:23:46.520 You know what?
00:23:46.920 It could have been half or more.
00:23:48.740 It was, you know, it literally shocked me because I've been, I've done enough events that I could see that this is that particular room had so many new people in it that it was actually surprising and it was great.
00:24:00.480 So that means that the volunteers are bringing new people and it also means that people are paying attention and maybe they're not happy with the first unelected Canadian majority.
00:24:09.580 Yes.
00:24:09.980 Yes.
00:24:10.540 The thing I've noticed, I've, I've spoken to some canvassers and you know, they're getting a little weary.
00:24:15.400 it's been going on a while they'll be happy when this is over but what i've noticed as well is the
00:24:21.080 enthusiasm hasn't dropped these people are in it to win it so i think we can carry that enthusiasm
00:24:25.920 over to this next process which will be the question and actually getting the yes vote in
00:24:31.740 october yes yeah oh yeah we're going to carry it over we've got jobs to do uh we're going to
00:24:37.540 continue with events uh we're going to do all manner of stuff that we that we do that's who
00:24:42.080 we are. That's how we got this here. So we'll continue down that path and we'll get our people
00:24:47.460 to bring people to the events. We're going to get them to sign up more people to get out to vote.
00:24:52.960 We're going to get them to help us raise money. They could actually host fundraisers.
00:24:56.580 We'll help them hold house meetings. Whatever it's going to take for us to win,
00:25:01.100 we're going to do our very best to get that done. As always, thanks to Mitch for doing that. He
00:25:05.960 always makes himself available. Great guy. And we appreciate Mitch so much. Go to
00:25:11.180 stayfreealberta.com and make a donation. I did. Now, coming up this week, got a couple of good
00:25:17.260 interviews for you. First off, I'll be talking with Mike. Now, who is Mike? Well, Mike is the
00:25:22.600 guy in the green shirt in this picture. And this became a sensation in the independence movement.
00:25:30.940 Mike's the guy who signed the petition in Egypt. So we're going to have him on the channel this
00:25:36.120 week. I've got an interview scheduled for him to find out how all that was arranged. And I'll be
00:25:41.100 talking with Dennis Kelma. You may remember Dennis. Dennis wrote this document right here.
00:25:45.640 Let me pull it out. It's always handy. The Value of Freedom. He wrote this with Jeff Rath. And I
00:25:50.500 got an email from Kim. She's concerned about investments and what happens to investments
00:25:55.200 in an independent Alberta. I just set up an interview with Dennis just minutes ago. So I
00:26:01.220 should have that for you maybe Thursday or Friday this week. If you're concerned about investments,
00:26:05.240 you're sitting on the fence because of that. Dennis, I think we'll have the answers for you
00:26:09.300 right here on this channel. Thanks a lot for being part of the independence calendar. I do
00:26:14.080 appreciate it. If you'd like to get in touch, johnboltonab at gmail.com. I hope I'm not
00:26:21.000 sounding like a broken record when I say that. Thank you so much for being part of the independence
00:26:25.380 calendar once again, and I will see you in the next one.
