00:00:00.000 It's on the phone with Mr. Albert and just, oh, hello.
00:00:04.380 I was on the phone with Mr. Albert a few minutes ago and I said to him, what the hell have you done?
00:00:09.520 What have you done?
00:00:10.880 And he was laughing on the phone because he's the one that made this happen today.
00:00:15.080 We got to give him credit and Mr. and Mrs. Albert for what they're doing.
00:00:18.900 So just amazing here in Sundry.
00:00:21.980 And my wife and I plan on going to a restaurant if we could fit in.
00:00:27.020 There's that many people here today.
00:00:30.000 Hi, it's John, and welcome to the Independence Calendar.
00:00:34.900 It is Sunday, June the 21st.
00:00:37.020 I hope you're having a great Sunday, a great Father's Day, and a great first full day of
00:00:42.780 summer.
00:00:43.680 Pleasure to have you here today.
00:00:45.080 Busy show this week.
00:00:46.040 It has been a busy week, and some really good news over the last week or so.
00:00:51.180 First off, I'll start talking about what happened in Sundry, an amazing Saturday in Sundry.
00:00:56.980 I've got some video footage on that for you in just a moment.
00:01:00.000 I'll be talking with John, talking to Albertans on the calendar today about a signed giveaway
00:01:06.700 he's got coming up today, which would be Sunday, June 21st.
00:01:10.400 Had a number of third-party advertisers get in this week, a couple of good ones.
00:01:14.060 One finally got in, and we're going to call on Gordon McClure, Chief Electoral Officer
00:01:19.400 of Alberta, to go after this third-party advertiser for fines that I think must be levied against
00:01:26.500 this organization.
00:01:27.940 We're going to talk with Jason Levine.
00:01:29.320 He was in Sundry yesterday with so many other people, so many other people.
00:01:34.420 We just walked along the street.
00:01:36.000 We'll talk to Jason for a minute.
00:01:37.300 He was handing out his signs.
00:01:38.720 By the way, he got 500 of his signs out in the last couple of days. 0.89
00:01:43.720 Also, we'll talk about Let Alberta Decide.
00:01:46.960 I was part of an event in downtown Calgary on Friday.
00:01:50.120 Quick interviews with Keith Wilson and Tanya Clemens about their new third-party advertiser,
00:01:54.840 which is really exciting as well.
00:01:56.780 something I'd like you to do. You know, during the petition campaign, it was very exciting.
00:02:02.860 You guys were sending in pictures regularly. I've got something like that coming up.
00:02:06.320 And I do have something that's percolating right now. That's very exciting right now.
00:02:12.160 Many people asked me about it yesterday because I've been talking about it,
00:02:15.840 but I can't reveal what it is as of yet. Today, I'm going to be working on it. And hopefully by
00:02:20.740 Wednesday, I can tell you about this major event that should be coming up in July. So stay tuned
00:02:26.200 for that big project is coming up. So let's talk about Sundry. So the story goes like this. Now,
00:02:33.580 I believe most of what happened here was miscommunication, a little bit of a disagreement.
00:02:39.740 The parade got canceled. Unfortunately, it was canceled. And we didn't want to hurt the people
00:02:45.440 in Sundry. The parade was a big part of what they did. But boy, did it get big yesterday.
00:02:51.880 day. Now what I'm going to do is start off by playing a short little video and a story that
00:02:56.700 was done by City TV News, I think it was, about what happened yesterday. We'll talk about it and
00:03:02.700 then I'll tell you what actually happened, which was just a great day for sundry. So let's check
00:03:08.820 out that story right now. What started as a meetup at a number of communities in Alberta
00:03:17.120 has led to this a convoy of vehicles cruising the streets of sundry horns honking flags waving
00:03:25.280 this all started as the cancellation of the sundry parade over controversy about a pro-alberta float
00:03:31.360 has led to a replacement parade that an alberta separatist group is calling a cruise the options
00:03:37.340 there too for people with the flag canadian flags to go by they're always welcome to do that too so
00:03:42.400 And I know there's a lot of angst in the province right now and in Canada.
00:03:49.640 I just don't think it's the venue for them.
00:03:52.020 So how do we get to this point?
00:03:55.320 Well, according to Darby Crouch, the Sundry Parade spokesperson,
00:03:58.760 she says the parade cancellation was because of threats and harassments towards her volunteers.
00:04:04.120 Participants of the cruise are upset that it's come to this,
00:04:07.340 a decision by parade organizer to exclude a float with Alberta flags.
00:04:11.000 And it's sad because parades are not about that.
00:04:14.480 It's about fun, it's about kids, it's about celebrating the communities around
00:04:17.940 and the companies and the businesses.
00:04:20.360 It's not where you voice your politics.
00:04:22.800 Either way, this unsanctioned parade, which has no affiliation with the town,
00:04:27.340 according to sundry mayor Richard Warnock,
00:04:30.860 expects the attendees to follow all traffic laws and cruise peacefully.
00:04:35.020 And so far, everyone is following the rules.
00:04:37.960 Where does your head go when you see this little angel?
00:04:40.020 what do you tell her? I just tell her that we don't want to push opinions but we're allowed
00:04:48.240 to have them and we just want to enjoy the activities with everyone else and the volunteers
00:04:54.140 that take the time to put it on for everyone. Chris Scott, owner of the Whistle Stop Cafe,
00:04:59.360 continues to be outspoken about the parade organizer's decision to cancel the sundry
00:05:03.720 parade. Says he sees no problem with political movements participating in parades. Now that's
00:05:09.780 The parade's canceled because politics. Like, that's really sad.
00:05:13.740 I hope that we can bring the temperature down on some of the discussion and keep the debate respectful.
00:05:20.120 Phoenix Phillips, City News, Sundry.
00:05:25.960 Overall, not a bad report. I don't like to be called a separatist group. I prefer independence.
00:05:31.160 But not a bad report of what happened yesterday.
00:05:34.860 And, you know, I was talking with Mr. Albertan yesterday and he said, John, this isn't a political thing.
00:05:39.780 This isn't about the independence movement versus the forever Canadian side.
00:05:44.540 The red and white flags of Canada could have been in this cruise we had yesterday.
00:05:48.780 They could have been.
00:05:49.400 It was all pro-independence for sure.
00:05:53.400 But he said they were welcome there yesterday.
00:05:55.800 And to, was it Darby Crouch, who was cited in that story,
00:05:59.780 if you got threatened, I feel real bad about that.
00:06:03.240 Nobody I know in the independence movement would do that.
00:06:07.300 We would be mad, but we would never threaten you.
00:06:09.600 And I hope if you have been threatened, you have reported that to the RCMP because that's a crime.
00:06:15.780 Please get back to us and find out who threatened you.
00:06:19.160 Now, as far as the event itself, I'll put up some video here.
00:06:22.600 It was incredible.
00:06:25.240 Somebody told me they went out in front of us before we got into Sundry yesterday,
00:06:30.880 and they recorded all the vehicles going by on the road.
00:06:33.620 It took eight and a half minutes at 80K an hour for everybody to drive by the camera.
00:06:37.820 I don't know whether that's true or not, but there were hundreds of vehicles there yesterday,
00:06:42.660 a sea of blue flags. Everybody was well-behaved. And here's the thing. Here's some pictures of me,
00:06:50.720 along with a lot of other people at a place called, I think it was called Original Tees.
00:06:55.000 Great food, by the way. We were sitting, nine of us at a table, and they had a full restaurant
00:07:00.700 yesterday. The waitress we had was wonderful. She was run off her feet. Jess, who was there,
00:07:07.320 paid for everybody at the table. My wife and I gave our waitress a $40 tip yesterday. I'm sure 0.99
00:07:12.760 she did great. Fringe was there. Jason Levine was there. John talking to Albertans. Many others
00:07:20.040 were there as well. I think all the restaurants in Sundry were full yesterday simply because we
00:07:25.500 went there yesterday and we had a blast. So to the people of Sundry, thanks so much for having us.
00:07:31.560 I walked down the street. Let me just tell you this before I get on to the next little segment
00:07:35.840 of the calendar. I walked down the street and was talking to people, met so many people yesterday,
00:07:41.240 shook a lot of hands. And I said, how do you feel about the parade being canceled?
00:07:46.460 Well, we were pretty upset about it, but this, what we're seeing today is the biggest parade
00:07:51.440 Sundry has ever had. And I said to them, this is the biggest parade Sundry will ever have.
00:07:59.320 It will never be bigger. It was that big and it was a great time. Now let's move on to our first
00:08:05.560 interview. Lots of people handing out signs. Corey Morgan's doing that. Jason Levine's doing
00:08:11.440 that. I've got Corey's sign out front. This is going out front of my house later on. Our friends,
00:08:15.960 Kathy Flett, Angela Tabak, they're going to be giving out signs. And also our friend up in Red
00:08:23.460 Deer, John, talking to Albertans, is having a sign giveaway today I want to tell you about.
00:08:29.500 So here's an interview I did just earlier this morning with John. Welcome, John. Great to have
00:08:34.920 you back on the channel. John with no H. We always say that every time. J-O-N from Alberta.
00:08:43.420 Yeah, there it is. And YouTube, talking to Albertans. Yeah, we got you. It's good to see
00:08:48.160 you once again. I want to talk to you about your sign giveaway today, which is June 21st,
00:08:53.820 which is happening this afternoon. The Independence Calendar goes up at 11 o'clock in the morning on
00:08:58.880 Sundays. But I want to get your thoughts on Sundry yesterday. I've talked about it on the
00:09:03.920 independence calendar already. I took my wife out. She doesn't go to a lot of events. She looked at
00:09:08.820 me last night and said, thanks for today because it was a blast. What were your thoughts and how
00:09:13.880 did things work out for you? Because I know you got lots of video. You ran into Jason Levine and
00:09:18.580 I on the street and we talked to you for a few minutes yesterday as well. Yeah, well, first of
00:09:22.980 all, I'm giving out Corey Morgan's Pathway to Independence signs at Cool Shit Wholesale in
00:09:31.300 read here today uh you can see the link in the description i'm sure uh come on out get a sign
00:09:36.120 and uh show your support for independence yeah right there there you go so i got one i got one
00:09:41.980 on my lawn and i got like i don't know a couple hundred to hand out today so hopefully get the
00:09:46.940 word out you know i think we're gonna give away i hope to give away i keep doing this more and more
00:09:51.500 um you know help out as much as i can and then yeah yesterday sundry was like i was talking to
00:09:57.160 the locals i i drove ahead of the group i wasn't actually in the parade but i was on the side and
00:10:02.940 i was like i'm going to talk to the locals see what they think and the the support was overwhelming
00:10:07.940 like all the locals came out to say hi and to show support there were flags they were ready to show
00:10:14.020 it uh that we were handing out kids my wife and i were handing out uh little little mini flags to
00:10:18.660 the kids and some canadians walked by and were like hey you want a little mini flag and they were
00:10:22.920 like I met like the only two the only two Canadians in sundry so it was great yeah no it was great
00:10:31.200 you know I um I talked to Mr. and Mrs. Albertan yesterday talking Mr. Albertan he said that
00:10:36.360 this was a cruise for everybody yesterday yeah it wasn't just for the people with the blue flags
00:10:41.500 like I've got on my wall back here it certainly was about that because that's what we saw yesterday
00:10:46.440 but it was a day to support sundry we went out for for dinner or lunch after that and 1.00
00:10:52.160 like all the restaurants and sundry were busy yesterday our poor waitress was running herself 0.92
00:10:57.120 off her feet but i think she did very well yesterday when it came to tips and things like
00:11:01.420 that it was it was a great day even though it turned off it turned out to be it started off
00:11:07.120 as something negative and turned into something very positive yeah and i if i can plug myself on
00:11:13.480 your channel a little bit you can you go right i want more people to follow you john anytime
00:11:17.600 time people should follow John go to his all of his social media is so go ahead so I I released
00:11:24.680 the the first video was like the staging ground at the co-op just talking to people and I estimate
00:11:29.640 there was like 150 to 200 cars there like would you agree with that oh I it was probably just
00:11:37.260 at the first but then I noticed when we were driving there were little little uh shoots of
00:11:42.260 cars that were lined up at different points along the road and so I was at the front at the beginning
00:11:46.980 and then by the time we got close to sundry i was in the middle like the line just kept growing and
00:11:51.500 growing and growing uh but then i was like i want to talk to people on the street see what they say
00:11:55.800 so i'm releasing three videos at least one this morning uh let me see what it's called the sundry
00:12:02.260 parade was canceled this is what happened next yeah so maybe leave a link to that one on your
00:12:07.740 channel if you don't mind absolutely but then uh i'm gonna at least uh three more i'm just editing
00:12:12.240 them now and uh there's so many good little conversations that i had i didn't want to have
00:12:16.540 a good three hour video. So I kind of chunked it up. Uh, but I document all the cars that were
00:12:21.840 driving by and all the live commentary. Cause I'm legitimately afraid that the media is going to try
00:12:26.500 to, well, they're going to ignore it or, or say that, Oh, this was just a small little group of,
00:12:31.180 uh, you know, a couple of yahoos and, uh, the town didn't like it. No, I talked to people on 1.00
00:12:36.440 the street. There's a lot of support there. And, uh, people in Sundry were just happy to see us
00:12:41.460 coming yeah well you know i played a video uh just before um people have seen the video already of
00:12:47.220 city news doing a story on it they were pretty fair with it they talked about threats coming in
00:12:52.320 and things like that after the parade was canceled and we don't know anybody like that as i said
00:12:56.720 uh previous on this video because yeah we're recording this after i put pretty much the
00:13:01.880 whole independence calendar together and i said you know if anybody got any threats make sure you
00:13:06.200 report that because that's against the law the people that i know are great and the people in
00:13:09.520 sundry well done they were terrific yesterday and i'm glad that you you've kind of documented what
00:13:14.460 they have to say so go over to john's channel and check that out again tell me where can people
00:13:18.940 get these signs today cory signs i've got one on my front lawn let me move it over here so
00:13:24.100 everybody can see it where can they get them what time again the business is called cool
00:13:28.100 shit wholesale come on out to the their parking lot it's just behind the the save on foods kind 0.85
00:13:33.660 of gates in 67 and uh the parking lot's big you'll see it right off the road like it's it's it's hard 0.70
00:13:39.340 to miss and a lot we'll have lots of flags there and um between three and five o'clock is when i'm
00:13:46.500 going to hand them out i mean if i don't get rid of them all like 45 minutes the way that fringe did
00:13:51.780 uh then i'll probably stay a little bit longer but uh you know i i i think it's going to go
00:13:57.340 really quick so get come on out get your sign and uh show your support put it on your lawn
00:14:01.860 and be proud we need everybody to start showing your neighbors you're not alone in this
00:14:06.400 there's there's millions of us who support independence put your signs up put stickers 0.63
00:14:11.560 on your car and also cool shit they also sell flags and they sell stickers and they sell
00:14:17.240 clothing jewelry i'm not getting promoted by these guys at all but i was like this is a good
00:14:21.580 spot because you get a free flag and you can go support the business buy yourself some other
00:14:25.600 merch and i want to and you're representing red deer the other day i said well why don't you just
00:14:29.940 take the signs to sundry he says no man i want to see the signs and red deer so we're going to get
00:14:34.360 some signs out there for you today john we have to have you back i was handing out signs in sundry
00:14:38.680 yesterday that's right well it's always jason levine you know i got jason's sign this one's
00:14:43.960 got to go up later i got to put his yard i made a video with him too it's great i'm gonna have a
00:14:50.080 whole line of signs in front of my house before we get to october 19th let's get you back on the
00:14:54.080 channel to talk about what you're doing and the good work you're doing john always a pleasure to
00:14:57.800 see you thanks so much for being anytime the pleasure is all mine thanks john thanks a lot
00:15:01.880 to John for getting in touch with me. I talked to him about nine o'clock this morning and go over
00:15:07.120 to his channel. He's got some great coverage of the Sundry event that happened yesterday. He did
00:15:11.560 a great job there. We actually ran into him. Jason and I ran into him in downtown Sundry and had a
00:15:16.980 little chat with him. He's doing great work. So be sure to support John. Go over. I'll put a link in
00:15:22.380 the description and you can subscribe to his channel. Support the guy. He needs more subscribers.
00:15:27.520 Now, it was a big week when it comes to the independence movement.
00:15:31.180 A large third-party advertiser was launched this week.
00:15:34.220 One of the biggest.
00:15:35.240 All of them are important.
00:15:36.400 They're all doing really good work.
00:15:39.020 So be sure to support them if you can monetarily because they need money to make this thing happen and for us to win in October.
00:15:45.900 But earlier this week, I was part of an event on Friday in downtown Calgary.
00:15:49.900 I was honored to be asked by Keith Wilson to come out and emcee event for their new third-party advertiser called Let Alberta Decide.
00:15:58.340 And here is their website, by the way, which is terrific.
00:16:00.800 You can chip in with them and what they're going to be doing moving forward to help us win.
00:16:05.140 Alberta's done waiting is the message they're trying to pass along.
00:16:09.180 We've been waiting a long time to get a fair deal in Canada, and it's too late.
00:16:13.520 We're not going to get a fair deal.
00:16:15.160 There's great information on here.
00:16:16.700 There is Keith right there.
00:16:18.020 That would be him at the debate with Jason Kenney about a month ago.
00:16:22.220 And there's our friend Tanya Clemens, who is an outstanding spokesperson for the Alberta
00:16:27.140 independence movement.
00:16:28.100 And her speech the other day was terrific.
00:16:30.880 And you can also go over here and get some great information.
00:16:33.720 If you're looking for information, some ammunition to fire back at people when they say they
00:16:39.060 want to stay in Canada, you can look here and get a lot of information.
00:16:43.120 Here's just some short clips of me interviewing Tanya and Keith on Friday.
00:16:47.920 Nice to have the media here.
00:16:49.200 We appreciate you coming out today.
00:16:50.580 We really do.
00:16:51.400 We will have you out of here quickly.
00:16:52.920 This won't be a long presentation today.
00:16:55.440 You'll have lots of time to get back to your offices to write glowing reviews about what we're talking about here today.
00:17:02.280 But thank you so much for coming out today.
00:17:03.920 And here we are in downtown Calgary. 0.96
00:17:06.640 Let Alberta decide.
00:17:08.260 Alberta's done waiting as really quite a message that you and Tanya Clemens talked about here, Keith.
00:17:15.000 How do you think things went today?
00:17:17.400 Well, I've been in nonstop scrums and interviews, so I'm not sure yet.
00:17:21.620 But, you know, I was very pleased with the turnout from legacy media.
00:17:26.320 I don't, I think there was 10 to 12 or more camera crews here.
00:17:31.680 And that was who we were targeting.
00:17:33.860 You know, the independence movement needs to move out of its comfort zone, needs to reach audiences in ways that we haven't been doing it in the past.
00:17:43.720 Not that there's been anything wrong with that, how we've done it, but we've got to go further.
00:17:46.900 We've got to do more.
00:17:48.440 And so what today was about was sending the message that there's a new approach.
00:17:54.660 It's game time.
00:17:55.660 We've got four months.
00:17:56.760 We can win this.
00:17:58.080 We've got to take a broader approach.
00:18:00.040 We've got to take a sophisticated approach. 0.71
00:18:02.000 We need a professional campaign.
00:18:03.860 That's what we launched today.
00:18:05.360 We've got the team together.
00:18:06.800 We've got lots of strategies and tactics that we plan to deploy.
00:18:10.780 We launched our website this morning, which is letalbertadecide.com.
00:18:15.940 letalbertadecide.com I encourage people to go there I think you'll be impressed with it
00:18:20.180 in terms of the information and accessibility of the information and the tools to help persuade
00:18:24.420 others importantly though we're a registered third-party advertiser we just got that
00:18:29.700 confirmation two days ago and so we are looking for donations to help us fund this campaign
00:18:36.340 we plan sophisticated advertising strategically in time as well as embracing and reaching out to
00:18:44.340 the legacy media making ourselves accessible to them developing other tools and information
00:18:51.700 approaches so that those of us who know that it makes sense for Alberta to become independent
00:18:57.540 can approach our friends and neighbours who haven't yet reached that conclusion and help
00:19:02.420 slowly bring them on to our side so that in four months from now on October 19th people vote for
00:19:09.860 option two which is for a referendum um and the message you're passing along i'll just show it
00:19:15.140 over my shoulder here alberta's done waiting i really really enjoyed both of your speeches
00:19:21.060 i really enjoyed yours because i got what the meaning was behind it you know
00:19:27.380 i remember at the debate with keith and jason kenny and jason kept saying well you know all
00:19:33.380 we have to do is keep negotiating with canada to get a better deal gotta lock arms we're done
00:19:39.700 waiting aren't we right yeah so tell us tell us a little bit about what message you wanted to pass
00:19:44.180 along here today to people and and how you got that message out to the well quite sizable media
00:19:50.020 that showed up today which is great yeah well i guess i look at it from a little bit of a historical
00:19:53.940 perspective too that we have tried alberta has tried very hard for decades and decades and
00:19:59.140 thousands and thousands of people have been on this movement trying to carve out some more
00:20:02.900 sovereignty for alberta within canada and it whether it's the firewall letter or the equalization
00:20:08.100 referendum, the reform party, all these different things that we have attempted to try to reach
00:20:13.560 those goals have all been met with a no. And when we are looking at the future now and trying to
00:20:19.200 move ahead, what are the options for achieving that? I know that we have Jason Kenney advocating
00:20:24.480 for just keep trying, keep doing it. The status quo. Yeah. And our message is, you know what,
00:20:28.840 Alberta's done waiting. We have tried. We're ready to stand on our own two feet. And when we're
00:20:33.180 talking to the media today, they're actually like very gracious. And I'm so thankful that so many of
00:20:37.440 them showed up and can get our message out there because we're trying to reach that group of people
00:20:41.260 that is undecided and they they do struggle with our place within confederation but they're unsure
00:20:46.640 of the steps forward so we need to be able to reach and engage them in conversation and give
00:20:51.160 them some reassurance yeah so what's the plan of doing that we've got four months actually today
00:20:56.020 it's four months exactly yeah that's a referendum it's not a lot of time as summer goes by quickly
00:21:01.060 you know we'll be in it'll be labor day pretty soon so what's the plan moving forward over the
00:21:05.100 next little bit what kind of things you're going to be doing you figure well it's not a lot of time
00:21:09.120 in some ways but in some ways it's a very long campaign period in political campaigns yeah this
00:21:13.540 is a very long one a four month window so we just got to make sure that we're pacing ourselves too
00:21:17.360 so we got the perseverance and the energy reserves to get there but we're going to utilize a kind of
00:21:22.700 a hybrid campaign strategy I guess where we employ a lot of like the standard campaign practices
00:21:26.880 which will be you know putting out media pamphlets resources educational things like that eventually
00:21:33.160 get into door knocking and some of those things but then also employing some of like the latest
00:21:37.880 social media and marketing strategies and we have some really cool technology available to us and
00:21:42.520 some really amazing people on our team that know how to utilize that to best get our message out
00:21:47.960 thanks again to keith and tanya for including me in their big day i played a very small part but it
00:21:53.080 was amazing i even got dressed up for it folks by the way if you want to go to their website
00:21:58.600 It is LetAlbertaDecide.com.
00:22:02.420 More third-party advertisers are getting in.
00:22:05.560 Yesterday, two people came up and said they're in on the independent side.
00:22:09.280 One of them would be John, who we talked to quite a bit yesterday.
00:22:12.160 Very articulate guy.
00:22:13.720 Here is his website if you'd like to support him.
00:22:16.340 What's he doing?
00:22:17.620 He wants to paint the province blue.
00:22:19.680 He wants to give out flags.
00:22:23.480 Outstanding.
00:22:24.220 I love it.
00:22:25.120 It's the best flag in the whole country.
00:22:27.580 I love the blue. So paint the province blue. Albertans built this country's energy,
00:22:33.460 its agriculture, and its work ethic. It's time Alberta decided its own future.
00:22:37.940 Join the movement. Fly the flag and help us reach every corner of Alberta before October 19th.
00:22:43.180 You can go over and support the campaign. Click there to donate so he can get some flags and he
00:22:47.940 can hand them out. Or you can request a flag. And the website is unitedalbertaflags.com.
00:22:54.160 Well done to John. Somebody else is in as well, but they're not listed here on the official list
00:23:00.460 of registered referendum third-party advertisers. If we go down here, we can find John. Where is he
00:23:06.540 here? There's John right there. John Tompkinson, United Alberta Flags. But if we go up here,
00:23:12.160 we'll find somebody else has finally registered, folks. Forever Canadian, Thomas Lukasik,
00:23:20.080 finally registered as of June the 19th.
00:23:24.480 Now, as you know, we've gone over to his website
00:23:27.400 and here it is right here.
00:23:29.840 And he talks about how you can donate as much as you want,
00:23:33.460 no limits on donations.
00:23:35.200 He has not been a third-party advertiser.
00:23:37.660 He's been handing out signs
00:23:39.100 and everybody's been wondering
00:23:40.520 how he's getting away with this.
00:23:42.180 But he has finally signed up.
00:23:43.640 Now, Gordon McClure, Chief Electoral Officer of Alberta,
00:23:48.140 be sure to look into this.
00:23:49.340 Mr. Lukasik needs to have the appropriate fines for doing what he's been doing, which as far as
00:23:54.780 we're concerned, is illegal. But he has finally signed up. Thanks to John, by the way, for letting
00:24:01.020 me know about that yesterday. He said he got registered the same day we did, but he's been
00:24:05.480 out there doing all this work and collecting all this money, and we need to find out who his donors
00:24:09.980 are and if they've given more than $5,000, which is the maximum they can give. Now, I was in Sundry
00:24:16.600 yesterday i ran into the fringe i ran into igor john talking to albertans and i ran into my friend
00:24:23.400 jason levine my wife and i have become good friends with paul and jason and his wonderful kids
00:24:28.700 we went for a little walk on the street here's a short segment of what we had to say so this is
00:24:33.640 pretty amazing well done to mr and mrs albertan for making this happen you know i was talking to
00:24:37.780 a few of the people from sundry here today and they were sad that the parade was canceled but
00:24:41.180 this is much longer than they would ever expect a couple people now said the largest one in history
00:24:45.940 We'd have to fact check that, but it certainly is long.
00:24:48.660 There's at least 200 cars that came through Olds.
00:24:51.120 We came from the north, and there was a nice long lineup, so it was really cool to see.
00:24:55.540 And you got your sign.
00:24:56.640 Show me your sign.
00:24:57.320 I do.
00:24:58.000 Yeah.
00:24:59.080 There's your sign, and I picked up a sign today.
00:25:01.420 This is the last of 500.
00:25:03.600 You're kidding me.
00:25:04.140 They're all gone.
00:25:04.820 Well, we ran into a gentleman.
00:25:06.300 He said he bought eight off you, and he was walking back to his car, and he sold all of them.
00:25:10.620 Did he really?
00:25:11.120 And he gave you the money, he said.
00:25:13.360 I haven't seen that money yet.
00:25:14.940 It's my donation, so God bless him for collecting that,
00:25:17.800 and I'm sure we'll meet up at some point.
00:25:19.220 He says he's going to get eight more signs from you.
00:25:21.200 Yeah, they go quickly.
00:25:22.240 They're like hotcakes around here.
00:25:23.360 Yeah, and also I got one.
00:25:24.440 I'm going to have probably eight or ten of them in front of my house
00:25:26.660 before things are over.
00:25:27.820 Congratulations on what you're doing, Jason.
00:25:29.020 We'll get you one of those big four-by-six ones.
00:25:30.840 We've got some in the picture right now.
00:25:32.080 You'll block off the street.
00:25:33.740 TheLevineShow.com forward slash TPA.
00:25:36.680 That's correct.
00:25:37.160 And you can make a donation to Jason.
00:25:38.720 He's got a billboard up in Edmonton, probably more of those,
00:25:41.320 and get one of the signs.
00:25:43.240 Fantastic stuff.
00:25:43.880 Yeah, you can request a sign there.
00:25:45.780 You can do a donation, check out the events that we're working on,
00:25:48.000 and even become a volunteer.
00:25:49.540 So all of that's on the TPA website, and happy to have you all involved.
00:25:52.880 And by the way, the results have been fantastic.
00:25:54.880 Hundreds of volunteers.
00:25:56.480 We can't keep up with the signs.
00:25:58.000 We're printing like crazy.
00:25:58.980 Maybe another 2,000 next week.
00:26:00.920 It's getting amazing out here.
00:26:02.260 That's great.
00:26:02.660 I heard a couple of guys came up to me and said that they've got third-party,
00:26:05.820 their third-party advertisers have now registered, and they're in.
00:26:09.000 So more people are getting in all the time.
00:26:10.460 I was at the one with Tanya Clemens and Keith Wilson yesterday.
00:26:13.820 They started theirs up.
00:26:15.060 That was outstanding and amazing.
00:26:17.280 So things are really cooking right now.
00:26:19.080 Four months.
00:26:20.120 We're good to go.
00:26:20.840 We can win this thing.
00:26:21.640 There's definitely, if you're taking a look and you're just objectively looking at it,
00:26:24.820 there's one side that's put in a big effort and it's growing fast.
00:26:27.620 Yeah.
00:26:27.960 Like the TPA for Keith Wilson and Tanya, when they launched their Facebook or their X account,
00:26:33.840 5,000 in less than 24 hours, while the other groups have like 500 or 600 after four weeks or so.
00:26:39.160 there's definitely some support here and i think people are gonna be pleasantly surprised depends
00:26:43.260 on what side but pleasantly surprised at how this is going to turn out i'm so excited about this
00:26:48.340 thanks thanks jason always good to see you my friend always good to see you now let's go find
00:26:51.540 something to eat around here you're gonna eat you betcha thanks a lot to jason always great to see
00:26:56.900 him we'll be talking with him again real soon now here's some things that you can do one of them can
00:27:01.960 help me out here at the calendar in the future i'll tell you about that in just a second but
00:27:06.700 here's something you might want to do. I'm not telling you have to do this, but you may want to
00:27:11.300 do something like this. Let's go back over to our Forever Canadian people. I'm going to just bring
00:27:15.620 the Forever Canadian page up full screen here without me on there. But this is where you can
00:27:22.420 go over and find out where they're handing out their signs. By the way, you have to register
00:27:26.400 and give up your personal information to get one of Lukasik's signs. He's putting together a list,
00:27:32.820 folks. So he can run some kind of campaign in the future, maybe a new political party,
00:27:38.520 God knows what. But here's where they're handing out their signs. And you know what? You could
00:27:43.500 always, if you wanted, go to any number of these different places around the province
00:27:48.440 and put a table across the street and put a sign up in front of your table and say,
00:27:53.440 come here to find out the truth about Alberta independence and maybe draw some of those people
00:27:58.840 over to our side. You could do that. Not telling you you have to do that, but that is something
00:28:05.600 you can do. Go to forever-canadian.ca and click on lawn signs to find out where they are.
00:28:13.640 Now, what would I like you to do as we wrap up this week's independence calendar? I did have a
00:28:19.420 lot of fun. It was a lot of work, I tell you. I had a lot of fun getting your pictures when we
00:28:24.140 were in the petition campaign. And a lot of your pictures that came here ended up on the boxes of
00:28:29.780 petitions that went to Elections Alberta that Mitch Sylvester presented going back almost two
00:28:36.340 months, I guess it is now. What I want you to do now is if you have one of the signs from one of
00:28:42.340 the independence groups like Jason's here or Corey's, or you have a picture from Kathy Flatt
00:28:47.780 or Angela Tabak, they're putting signs out there as well. Or you have a picture of somebody who's
00:28:52.580 handing out the signs. It might be Jason Levine. You're picking up your sign or John, who we talked
00:28:57.200 to on the independence calendar today. He's handing out signs today. Get a picture holding the sign
00:29:02.720 and send it to me. Okay. And in the, in the subject put sign picture, sign picture or sign
00:29:12.380 pick something like that to make it easy for me to find them. And I'll put them on an upcoming
00:29:17.540 calendar. Let's see how many pictures we can get around the province. Just a short little
00:29:21.460 bit of information of where you might have your sign, okay? That's what I'd like you to do in the
00:29:26.200 future. Thank you so much for watching the Independence Calendar. I really appreciate it.
00:29:31.380 Big event coming up. I'm hoping to announce it by Wednesday. I'm on the phone today to discuss
00:29:37.600 how to make it happen. We can do it legally with Elections Alberta. I'll have details on that.
00:29:43.680 Some of you have already said you want to help volunteer. If I need some help, I'll be asking,
00:29:48.200 So stay tuned.
00:29:49.440 Thanks for watching the Independence Calendar.
00:29:51.300 I will see you in the next one.
