Hi, it's John and welcome to the channel. It is 4.32 a.m. Saturday, January the 31st.
00:00:08.620
Hope you're having a great start to your Saturday and your weekend as well. I tip my big blue mug
00:00:12.480
of coffee to you and I'm putting a push on right now to try to get to 50,000 subscribers. It would
00:00:18.740
be an amazing accomplishment and you can help me out with that. If you haven't subscribed,
00:00:22.740
please click on subscribe. Thank you. I appreciate it. So what's the purpose of this video today?
00:00:29.820
Well, I think this will be of interest to people in Canada, certainly for people in Alberta. And I'm
00:00:36.720
going to give you a few examples here, but there are more on how people in Canada are trying to
00:00:42.980
misinform people about the Alberta independence movement, how that might be driving more people
00:00:48.120
over to our side. And certainly I've talked over the last couple of days about insults that are
00:00:52.640
coming our way. I've got a very high profile insult coming up from a very well-known person,
00:00:57.980
very well-connected person, very well-connected liberal person, which I think is driving more
00:01:04.480
people to the independence movement. But before we get to that, I want to congratulate Pierre
00:01:09.220
Polyev. He got overwhelming support from his party last night. This article in the Calgary Sun,
00:01:17.500
separatism Alberta style on the front burner. Polyev scores 87% support. Alberta separatism,
00:01:24.640
love it or loathe it or don't care. It's got people's attention. So Polyev did talk about it
00:01:30.560
last night. I did an analysis video of his speech, which I thought was well delivered. I thought it
00:01:35.880
was well received. And I think he made some very good points. It was a good speech. My question is
00:01:42.880
this, who are the 13%? Any of them MPs that might walk across the aisle to join the Liberals? Just asking,
00:01:48.940
don't mean to rain on your parade, but that's what I was thinking when I saw 87% support. But the
00:01:55.420
independence movement, certainly on the minds of people last night, and Polyev did address this,
00:01:59.500
and he made a very good point that's driving people absolutely loony online, on X in particular.
00:02:05.240
He said that generally independence movements pop up when Liberals are in power because they are the
00:02:09.420
party of division. That is true. The Liberals don't like when he points it out, but it's true.
00:02:14.280
Now, let me move on to a few things here that's misinformation. I'm going to start off with
00:02:21.560
one single newspaper, the Edmonton Journal, that ran two completely conflicting stories on exactly
00:02:28.140
the same day, and they're very much related. First off, you've got this story. I saw this last night.
00:02:34.360
I sent it out to somebody very well-connected in the independence movement who knows the numbers
00:02:38.860
here in Alberta. He says they don't state any facts in this at all, but separatist math doesn't
00:02:45.540
add up, warns Edmonton business leaders. And they go on in this article, I'll put a link in the
00:02:49.520
description, to talk about how the independence movement is driving investment out of Alberta.
00:02:55.220
Now, you look at the date there, January 30th, 2026. Same day, same newspaper, the Edmonton Journal,
00:03:03.100
Dow moving ahead with $10 billion petrochemical project in Alberta after delay, aims for 2029
00:03:10.020
startup. And let me go down here and read just a little bit of this article for you.
00:03:15.520
It's clear they believe in this project and think it's a good long-term investment,
00:03:19.520
and that's why it's moving forward, even as it seems like we're in this prolonged down cycle for
00:03:25.300
commodity chemicals right now. So, Dow obviously thinks this is a good investment. By the way,
00:03:31.800
people often ask me about this ring. I don't know that you can see it there, whether you can get a
00:03:36.360
good focus on it, but this ring says Dow on it. My dad worked for Dow Chemical for 37 years. This is
00:03:42.620
his ring, which he gave me, and I wear it proudly. So, moving on to the next story, I want to get to
00:03:47.180
this one. A lot of people using this guy as an example online right now, and this is Chief Alan
00:03:53.360
Adam. Let me go back in the video here, because he's not on there right now. We'll go back. This guy in
00:03:57.500
the red shirt here. This is Chief Alan Adam of the Athabasca-Chippewyan First Nation, and he's on
00:04:03.740
here calling for Danielle Smith to resign, alleging she has conspired with separatists and violated
00:04:09.880
treaty rights. We're going to talk more about treaty rights in just a moment. Again, Alan Adam of the
00:04:15.260
Athabasca-Chippewyan First Nation. Now, Mr. Adam should resign himself. He's one of the reasons why we
00:04:22.080
want independence in Alberta. And let's go over to this story here, which takes us back to January 17,
00:04:28.280
2014. First Nation's chief received $55,000 from Tides Foundation, and here is his face. A little
00:04:36.520
bit younger, a left-wing lobby group in San Francisco wired $55,000 to the bank account of an Indian chief
00:04:43.840
in northern Alberta, paying him to oppose the oil sands. And sure enough, that chief, Alan Adam, from the
00:04:51.200
Athabasca-Chippewyan First Nation, earned his money. Last weekend, he flew to Toronto to sit on a stage
00:04:57.920
to Neil Young, the folk singer who was in town to demonize Canada's oil industry. So the same guy
00:05:05.180
collecting money to oppose the oil sands and prosperity here in Alberta. By the way, here is
00:05:11.800
another one for you. Here he is cozying up to Jane Fonda. Jane Fonda comes to Alberta to inform them
00:05:18.060
that oil is bad and they should get other jobs. Mr. Adam, you need to resign. You're one of the
00:05:23.600
reasons why Alberta wants to leave. Now, Chief Adam suggests in his little talk that Alberta can't leave
00:05:29.640
because of treaties here in Alberta, but that's not true. I wonder if Chief Adam has ever read the
00:05:35.500
treaties himself. A lot of people who talk about this have never read the treaties. Now, where I live
00:05:40.500
in Alberta, here in southern part of Alberta, in Calgary, Treaty 7, this land is ceded. Ceded. C-E-D-E-D.
00:05:50.680
Give up power or territory. It is ceded. You can read these online. I see people putting this map out
00:05:58.220
all the time, the First People's Map of Alberta. I saw this this morning and here they are. Here's Treaty 7.
00:06:04.800
Here is Calgary. Here is southern Alberta where I live and here are the texts. Treaty and supplementary
00:06:12.100
Treaty 7. And I searched for ceded in here and there it is right there the first time. And then
00:06:18.040
there's this big paragraph where it's mentioned four times and I'll leave it up on the screen so
00:06:22.200
you can read it a little bit, but I'll put a link in the description so you can read a treaty. It's not
00:06:26.600
very long. It's quite easy to understand. This treaty disinformation that gets spread around just
00:06:34.320
shows you how we have the facts on our side. All right. And the thing that I believe is that
00:06:40.380
when it comes to indigenous groups here in Alberta, it will be the first time in the history of Canada
00:06:47.460
that they will have an opportunity to negotiate a better deal for themselves. And I think they'll get
00:06:53.040
a better deal in an independent Alberta than they currently have in Canada. There's this as well.
00:06:58.780
Let me show you this. I think a lot of people who consider themselves aboriginals or indigenous people
00:07:04.180
want to be part of the independence movement. Alberta Radio says, almost 2,000 kilometers put on
00:07:09.260
the car since I started driving across Alberta to get signatures from folks who cannot make it to
00:07:14.060
signing events. Today, 80% of the signatures I got are First Nations, Métis people. And then you get
00:07:19.820
people like this. High profile person, writes for the Sun Chain, used to work in the Kretchen
00:07:25.700
administration. Warren can sell a shame on you, Warren. But you're driving people to the independence
00:07:30.860
movement with comments like this. My family left Quebec because of separatists who were bigots.
00:07:38.240
Alberta separatists are bigots too, but even dumber. Well, first off, Warren, let me put it to you this
00:07:44.040
way. We are not bigots out here. The independence movement out here welcomes anybody who wants to come
00:07:49.080
to Alberta. We do not care where they're from. We do not care their skin color. If you want to come
00:07:54.100
here and contribute and work hard, you are welcome in an independent Alberta. We don't make an issue
00:07:59.960
out of people's skin color. It's your side that does this. And what you're also saying here, first
00:08:05.500
off, you're calling us bigots, but you're also implying that Albertans are dumber than people who
00:08:10.000
live in Quebec. And that certainly isn't the case. A very Laurentian elite attitude as far as I'm
00:08:17.320
concerned. And we need to get away from people like you. But Warren, keep doing this. Because the
00:08:22.280
more you do this, the more you drive people over to the independence side. Folks, this is what the
00:08:26.840
East thinks of you. If you're sitting on the fence when it comes to independence, time to leave. Let's
00:08:32.240
move on to this one. Check this one out. I had to reload the webpage, but this is facepalm stuff, folks.
00:08:40.720
This is unbelievable. Stephen Gilboa, former environment minister under Justin Trudeau, radical,
00:08:47.040
anti-oil, anti-Alberta, anti-growth. Here he is here. Imagine one second that the Quebec
00:08:53.480
separatist movement reached out to France to help with Quebec separatism. People in English Canada
00:08:59.140
would be rightly outraged. This is no different. David Eby is right. And he's talking about David
00:09:04.320
Eby, premier of British Columbia, calling people who are Alberta independence-minded people,
00:09:08.580
traitors, and the people who are the leaders of the independence movement here in Alberta.
00:09:13.320
Readers added context they thought people might want to know. In 1995, the Quebec separatist
00:09:19.160
movement did just that. And we'll leave it with this from Marty up north at the end. All right?
00:09:28.240
Two separatist movements, two totally different reactions from the rest of Canada,
00:09:34.260
When the Bloc Québécois and Parti Québécois push for Quebec sovereignty, they're hailed as
00:09:41.660
passionate defenders of culture and self-determination. It's noble, just, even romantic. Vive le Québec libre
00:09:48.560
rings out like a freedom cry. But what if an Albertan dares to whisper about ditching Ottawa's
00:09:53.660
endless resource grab and eco-tyranny? We get called traitors and spoiled rednecks accused of
00:09:58.820
threatening the sacred confederation. Newsflash. If Quebec's quest for independence is legitimate
00:10:04.940
democracy, then Alberta's beef with federal overreach is no different. Both are provinces fed up
00:10:10.860
with a distant capital sucking them dry or ignoring their unique cultural heritage. Yet one gets pats on
00:10:17.540
the back while the other gets pitchforks. Call it what it is, Eastern elitism masquerading as patriotism.
00:10:24.680
Time to even the score. Or is Team Canada only for those who tow the Laurentian line?
00:10:33.440
If you liked this video, please give it a thumbs up, subscribe to the channel, ring the bell for notifications,
