00:00:00.000 Hi, it's John, and welcome to the channel. It is 5.29 p.m. It is still Tuesday, April the 1st.
00:00:07.260 I do have my big blue mug of coffee. I just had a nice dinner, and I'm doing this video today,
00:00:12.160 uploading it on Wednesday morning, because I'm feeling rather happy right now. I'm feeling good
00:00:17.700 about the election campaign. I was pretty tough on Pierre Polyev earlier in my last video,
00:00:24.000 but I think we turned a page today in this election. A few days ago, you may have seen
00:00:29.140 the video. I mentioned Saul Alinsky's rules for radicals, and I said that Polyev has to start 0.99
00:00:36.520 using rule number four, make the enemy live up to its own book of rules, and he did that
00:00:42.000 on Tuesday. He was, I believe, in Newfoundland doing a presentation there, and he mentioned that
00:00:48.700 14 of the biggest energy companies said that we have to do these five things in order to break away
00:00:55.920 from our dependence on the Americans, and here they are, and one of them's really the important
00:01:00.220 one here. Number one was repeal Bill C-69. That's the No New Pipelines law and the tanker ban.
00:01:08.980 Number two, six-month approvals on new projects. A lot of mines takes 17 years right now. Three,
00:01:16.940 scrap the energy cap. Four, scrap the industrial carbon tax, and five, indigenous loan guarantees, 0.83
00:01:23.060 and I want to talk to you about repeal Bill C-69, which was number one, the No New Pipelines law.
00:01:30.500 Well, Polyev, what he did, and you can see it on the screen right here, what he did after he went
00:01:34.380 through all of these things, he checked off on a board that the conservatives agree to all five of
00:01:38.860 these things, and he put an X beside the liberals. You can see this right here on the screen.
00:01:44.060 He agrees with all of these things because we have to unleash our natural resources, but
00:01:48.080 something happened yesterday as well. Mark Carney was doing a media scrum, and he got asked a
00:01:56.440 specific question. Now, what I'm going to do right now is I'm going to hand this over to Michelle
00:01:59.760 Rempel-Garner, Conservative MP, Calgary Knows-Hill. She covered this on her channel yesterday,
00:02:07.460 so let's hear what she has to say.
00:02:09.520 But today, you'd think that, you know, somebody running for Prime Minister who purports to stand up
00:02:14.540 for, you know, he's come out and said, like, oh, elbows up, that Mark Carney, the first thing he
00:02:18.940 would have done is said, yes, we are going to repeal Bill C-69. But guess what Mark Carney did
00:02:24.680 today? This is today. This is earlier this morning, folks. Mark Carney, the Liberal leader,
00:02:30.640 you know, who was Justin Trudeau's senior economic advisor, he said that he would keep
00:02:35.980 Justin Trudeau's Bill C-69. Watch what he had to say.
00:02:41.180 Bill C-69, what's your plans to build infrastructure in Canada? Do you plan to repeal Bill C-69?
00:02:47.820 We do not plan to repeal Bill C-69, to answer your question directly.
00:02:53.760 So there it is. Like, this was him live just a few short hours ago. So he actually said that the
00:02:59.940 Liberals are going to keep this job-destroying, you know, sovereignty-weakening bill. This is a
00:03:06.660 bill that actually kills energy projects in Canada. So Carney has said, no, we're not going to repeal
00:03:13.200 Bill C-69, the No New Pipelines Act. He said that he's going to look at things on a case-by-case basis
00:03:19.600 and whether it's in the national interest. Now, you may remember, it was only 10 days ago, that we heard
00:03:25.760 there was a great agreement around the table. Here's the article right here, CTV News, Carney Premier
00:03:31.460 Seeking a Plan for National Energy Trade Corridor. That was on March 21st. So that's only 10, 11 days
00:03:37.260 ago. Now, my idea of a national energy corridor and yours is much different than Mr. Net Zero,
00:03:44.400 Mark Carney. His national energy corridor is windmills and solar panels, not pipelines. And I'm really
00:03:51.500 disappointed that in that media scrum that he was in, nobody followed up with, are we going to build
00:03:57.460 any pipelines in this country? Are you still an advocate for Net Zero, Mr. Carney? Would you put
00:04:02.880 a pipeline through Quebec? Now, that's where he's got to be very, very careful because he needs votes
00:04:08.960 in Quebec as well. And just yesterday as well, Yves-Francois Blanchet, the leader of the Bloc Quebecois.
00:04:15.860 There's nothing for us in it. There's nothing for the planet in it. There's no project. There's no
00:04:24.460 promoter. There's nothing on the table. The only thing that there is on the table is the intention
00:04:32.640 of the two main leaders, Mr. Carney and Mr. Poeliev, to get some votes in Western Canada.
00:04:40.360 Are you hearing what I'm hearing? Listen, I'm hearing the sound of ballots being printed
00:04:46.600 for a referendum on separation in Alberta. You've got the federal liberal leader, prime minister,
00:04:54.420 who could win this next election saying he won't repeal Bill C-69. You've got the head of the Bloc 0.92
00:05:00.880 Quebecois saying no pipelines through Quebec. Francois Legault, who is the head of the Parti
00:05:07.660 Quebecois, the provincial government, says the same thing. And we know damn well that just a
00:05:12.500 couple of weeks ago, my premier, Daniel Smith, had some demands of the government, whatever government
00:05:17.980 got in after this election. Because the biggest threat to the Alberta economy has been the past
00:05:22.280 10 years of liberal government that canceled $176 billion worth of investment. We continue to face
00:05:29.740 threats, whether it's the tanker ban off the West Coast, Bill C-69, which has still not been passed,
00:05:34.960 net zero power rigs, net zero cars, net zero buildings, methane caps, emissions caps. If they
00:05:41.640 continue doing that, it'll crush our economy. So I would say that we'd face a dual threat. Yes,
00:05:46.380 we have to deal with the tariffs, but we also equally have to deal with a federal liberal government
00:05:51.480 that has tried to crush our economy for the past 10 years. And we're just not going to let them do
00:05:54.880 that anymore. Daniel Smith has a lot of demands. And number one on that list is Bill C-69,
00:06:00.300 the No New Pipelines Act, and the tanker ban. And whoever is the Prime Minister will have to
00:06:06.400 abide by that rule, or she said we'll have a national unity crisis. And I think we got closer 0.99
00:06:12.340 to that crisis today, when Mark Carney said what he did.
00:06:16.500 Pierpauliev tweeted this out today.
00:06:20.580 Breaking, Mark Carney says,
00:06:21.940 We do not plan to repeal Bill C-69. This liberal law blocked billions of dollars of investment in oil
00:06:27.540 and gas projects, pipelines, LNG plants, mines, and so much more, all of which would create powerful
00:06:33.780 paychecks for our people. And here's that full document for you. I mean, this is incredible.
00:06:38.200 And this has canceled projects between 2015 and 2020. I mean, you add it all up, and you come up
00:06:43.040 with more than $165 billion in canceled projects. And this is where Poliev can hammer Mark Carney.
00:06:52.100 It's his Achilles heel, and he's vulnerable on this. And hopefully it comes up in a debate.
00:06:57.400 And so Poliev needs to go after him on that, and of course still talk about the issues like
00:07:01.680 cost of living. That's still important, particularly to the young people. But to the old people,
00:07:06.000 it's Donald Trump and Carney negotiating with him for a better deal, or he'll stick up better for Canada.
00:07:12.780 We're more vulnerable after today to the United States because of what Mark Carney said.
00:07:18.180 Poliev's the only guy for the job at this point, as far as I'm concerned. What do you think?
00:07:22.900 Give me a thumbs up if you liked the video, subscribe to the channel, ring the bell for
00:07:27.080 notifications, and I'll see you in the next one.
