Mark Carney and the Liberals need fear to get their message out there. They need to keep up the fear factor. And they did just that yesterday with the announcement of Canada being left out of the latest round of Trump tariffs. Can they keep it up?

00:00:00.280 Hi, it's John and welcome to the channel. It is Thursday, April the 3rd. Is that correct?
00:00:05.580 Yeah, Thursday, April the 3rd today. It's 4.45 a.m. with the big blue mug of coffee.
00:00:12.020 Hope you're having a great day today. I certainly am.
00:00:15.800 And oh, by the way, I'm getting close to 25,000 subscribers if you click right there.
00:00:20.940 Maybe we'll get there by the end of the week. Thanks for being here once again.
00:00:24.800 So this morning, this is going to sound kind of weird. I woke up thinking about fear.
00:00:30.000 The other day I did a video, it would have been March 31st, there were a couple of things I put in my initial cut of that video to look out for.
00:00:40.220 Only one of them made it in. Now the first thing was watch for Carney to take a victory lap over the carbon tax.
00:00:46.120 I did a video on that yesterday. Please watch that one, The Gall of the Liberal Party. Check that one out.
00:00:50.300 But the other thing that didn't make the cut was be prepared for Carney and the Liberals to ramp up the fear on Wednesday.
00:00:57.620 And particularly, you're going to see a lot of it today.
00:01:00.000 Yesterday was Donald Trump's, what did he call it, the Day of Liberation or something?
00:01:03.920 He imposed all these tariffs on all these countries.
00:01:06.820 And for the most part, Canada made it out of that unscathed, which is a very good thing.
00:01:13.580 But true to form, the Liberals need the fear.
00:01:16.480 I've said here that the baby boomers were voting Liberal because they think Mark Carney is a better person to negotiate with Donald Trump.
00:01:24.580 I don't know whether that's really the case.
00:01:26.840 They're doing it out of fear.
00:01:29.540 And right on schedule, just as I figured would happen, Mark Carney walked out yesterday and he said this.
00:01:35.400 We're going to fight these tariffs with countermeasures.
00:01:40.320 We are going to protect our workers.
00:01:44.260 And we are going to build the strongest economy in the G7.
00:01:50.700 In a crisis, it's important to come together and it's essential to act with purpose and with force.
00:01:59.880 And that's what we will do.
00:02:01.460 Mark Carney ramping up the fear.
00:02:03.480 It's a great way to motivate people, to get them to do something.
00:02:06.040 Remember something that happened just a couple of years ago, right?
00:02:09.620 Now, I love quotes.
00:02:11.840 I keep a long list of them.
00:02:13.260 When I see a good one, I keep it.
00:02:15.060 I wish I could remember every quote off the top of my head, but I can't.
00:02:19.040 I don't have a good memory.
00:02:20.520 I remember a few of them.
00:02:22.060 And a lot of them are about fear.
00:02:23.600 And one I remember, and it's quite a long one, but I've got it in my memory and I never forget this one.
00:02:31.480 It's by H.L. Mencken.
00:02:32.420 And this is the kind of thing that politicians like Mark Carney, they rely on.
00:02:39.440 So here's the quote for you.
00:02:41.580 The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed and hence clamorous to be led to safety
00:02:49.480 by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary.
00:02:56.560 Now, I'm not suggesting the threats from Donald Trump are imaginary, but they're the least of your worries.
00:03:01.780 And we're going to get to that in just a moment.
00:03:03.880 But a big fear came yesterday for the liberals.
00:03:07.460 A lot of people saying this was a win for Carney yesterday, but something scared the crap out of them yesterday.
00:03:12.800 And let's go to the screen and find out what that is.
00:03:15.080 So this is David Jacobs.
00:03:17.380 If Canada isn't on the list for Trump tariffs, then Carney shouldn't be on your list for prime ministers.
00:03:22.040 So this is the list that Donald Trump held up yesterday.
00:03:25.220 Canada's not on the list.
00:03:26.400 And I'll bet you the first thing the liberals did was, damn it, we're not on the list because we can't keep the fear factor up.
00:03:34.060 They can't put this online and say, look, we're on the list.
00:03:38.160 We're not on the list.
00:03:40.120 Can Carney keep the fear going for the next 25 days?
00:03:44.420 You know, this has been a nice little break for them.
00:03:46.620 You know, when a multi-billion dollar company has an office in the third floor of a bicycle shop in the Bahamas, you kind of want to avoid that.
00:03:56.000 And it's given a bit of cover over the last couple of days.
00:03:58.620 Brian Lilly here yesterday.
00:04:00.600 Donald Trump didn't add any new tariffs on Canada.
00:04:04.560 We are Kuzma exempt, but still have steel and aluminum like every other country.
00:04:09.020 But Carney's entire campaign is based on picking a fight with Trump on the tariff issue, which is why he might look distressed here.
00:04:16.840 I've got a message of hope for you in just a moment.
00:04:20.760 Dare I say hope and change.
00:04:23.780 And some good numbers that might help you if you're conservative feeling concerned about the polls right now.
00:04:30.120 But he's absolutely right.
00:04:31.820 He looks distressed because things weren't as bad as he wanted yesterday.
00:04:38.100 You need to understand, Mark Carney wants the pain.
00:04:41.440 The liberals have depended on this because they've used it to ride their way to the top of the polls.
00:04:48.420 And I've been saying this for months.
00:04:50.580 Daniel Smith, message of hope here.
00:04:52.680 Let me just roll this back a little bit so you can see it.
00:04:54.600 Today was an important win for Canada and Alberta.
00:04:57.260 As it appears, the United States has decided to uphold the majority of the free trade agreement.
00:05:02.920 Kuzma, and that's true.
00:05:04.180 She goes down here and says,
00:05:05.520 No tariffs applied to energy, minerals, agricultural products, uranium, seafood, potash, and a host of other Canadian goods.
00:05:12.600 People just hammering her for this post yesterday because she didn't mention the automotive industry.
00:05:18.700 They didn't read the post because she mentions it right here.
00:05:20.760 There is still work to be done, of course.
00:05:23.400 Unfortunately, tariffs previously announced by the United States on Canadian automobiles, steel, and aluminum have not been removed.
00:05:29.420 And then she goes on to talk about diplomacy.
00:05:31.140 I think Daniel Smith had a lot to do with what happened yesterday that we weren't hammered even more by these tariffs by Donald Trump.
00:05:41.200 Brian Lilly, once again, here's your message of hope.
00:05:44.400 Okay, and it's from the other guy in this race who's not talking fear.
00:05:49.620 He does mention fear in here, but you have a bigger fear than Donald Trump.
00:05:53.380 Okay.
00:05:54.500 Why is Pierre Paulyev talking about issues other than Donald Trump?
00:05:58.440 Hmm.
00:05:59.340 At a speech in Toronto, he said,
00:06:00.900 Because there are issues that matter and people who are hurting due to liberal mismanagement, and he won't forget them.
00:06:07.520 Some liberal supporters and lobbyists have asked why I keep talking about the cost of living, housing, crime, and about the liberal drug crisis, instead of focusing exclusively on Donald Trump.
00:06:19.540 My answer is this.
00:06:20.700 The threat of the president's actions against Canada are serious.
00:06:24.260 And I've proposed serious answers to those threats.
00:06:26.840 But the struggles that Canadians are facing at home, the fear and the hurt that I hear everywhere across this land, those are real too.
00:06:34.360 And I will not stop talking about these problems which predate Donald Trump and which will outlast Donald Trump if we do not act to fix them.
00:06:42.880 Everyone is struggling with the cost of living.
00:06:45.780 Young Canadians are stressed about never affording a home, bills they can't afford.
00:06:50.260 Their parents worry that they might overdose, their children might overdose on fentanyl.
00:06:54.940 Paulieb is talking about things that have been affecting you and are affecting you right now.
00:07:02.540 In 26 days, we'll have another prime minister, whomever that may be.
00:07:06.460 And this issue with Trump will be over with.
00:07:09.480 And Carney's counting on you being fearful.
00:07:13.740 President James Madison had a great quote here.
00:07:16.900 Crisis is the rallying cry of the tyrant.
00:07:20.420 And if you thought Justin Trudeau was bad, just wait for Mark Carney.
00:07:24.940 The guy is a nightmare.
00:07:27.820 Look at this.
00:07:29.620 Just ignore the last 10 years, bro.
00:07:31.660 Elect us again.
00:07:32.340 Now, I'm wearing my Wexit hat again.
00:07:33.880 There's a reason for that.
00:07:35.920 If you're concerned about Canada's future and you're voting for Mark Carney because of that,
00:07:42.720 you need to give this a lot more thought.
00:07:46.220 Because Trump wants to deal with Carney because he'll sell us down the river and what's next could benefit him greatly.
00:07:55.780 So let's look at this.
00:07:56.600 This is just from the other day.
00:07:59.640 Daniel Smith leaves the door open for a vote on Alberta leaving Canada.
00:08:03.100 And then this.
00:08:03.860 This is from Preston Manning.
00:08:07.320 And this was just yesterday.
00:08:09.860 Mark Carney poses a threat to national unity.
00:08:13.680 And let's just read a little bit of this.
00:08:15.220 I don't want to go into the whole thing.
00:08:16.520 But whether politicians, the media, or voters in central Canada realize it or not,
00:08:22.240 the greatest future threat to national unity is emerging not from Quebec, but on the Western front, again revealed by the recent Polaris survey.
00:08:31.780 On account of the mismanagement of national affairs for the last decade by the Liberal government and its consistent failure to address those issues of greatest concern to Western Canadians,
00:08:43.240 large numbers of Westerners simply will not stand for another four years of Liberal government no matter who leads it.
00:08:50.800 The support for Western secession is therefore growing, unabated, and even fueled by Liberal promises to reverse many of their previous positions.
00:08:59.600 Such promises of expediency simply don't ring true in the West.
00:09:05.660 Who, except the most politically naive, would believe Mark Carney's promises to reverse the Liberal positions and everything from East-West pipelines to identity politics and climate change,
00:09:16.700 when standing behind him is a cabinet of 23 MPs who, just months ago, were advocating for the very opposite and have done so for years.
00:09:27.800 I'm going to go down to the bottom and read the final couple of paragraphs.
00:09:32.520 But if the Liberals employing the fear of U.S. President Donald Trump to secure the support of easily frightened voters should be returned to office,
00:09:42.140 then the agenda of the conference should be to consider ways and means of peacefully seceding.
00:09:47.660 And he's talking about a conference, a constitutional conference, and that's what he's referring to there.
00:09:53.740 The next Prime Minister of Canada, if it remains Mark Carney, would then be identified in the history books,
00:10:00.380 tragically and needlessly, as the last Prime Minister of United Canada.
00:10:06.440 So that's where we're heading, folks, under a Mark Carney government, because this separation movement is growing.
00:10:14.880 I did a video on this with the Walrose Independence Party.
00:10:18.180 Other people are talking about this.
00:10:19.820 We're about 26 days away from launching this.
00:10:23.620 Daniel Smith said six months for the next leader of this country to abide by a number of rules,
00:10:31.040 the tanker ban, the pipeline ban, all of those things, we'll have a national unity crisis.
00:10:37.760 Now, I do have some hope for you here.
00:10:39.680 If you're a conservative, David Coletto, abacus data.
00:10:43.420 It looks like one of the big areas of disagreement among some polls is what non-voters in 2021 are going to do.
00:10:50.740 In our latest survey, among those who say they didn't vote in 2021, the vote intention is 40% CPC, conservative 31, liberal.
00:10:59.600 Among those non-voters who now say they are certain to vote, 46, conservative, 34, liberal.
00:11:06.820 So the polls may look pretty grim right now, but there is a little bit of hope out there for you.
00:11:14.340 But just prepare for the liberals to ramp up the fear.
00:11:17.540 Whether they can do it for the next 25 days remains to be seen.
00:11:21.620 Thank you so much for watching.
00:11:23.800 I do appreciate it.
00:11:25.120 If you like the video, please give me a thumbs up.

00:11:31.020 Ring the bell for notifications.
00:11:32.880 And I'll see you in the next one.
