Summary

The government survives another non-confidence vote and Justin Trudeau is still in office. I talk about why this is a good thing and what it means for the future of the country. I also talk about a ridiculous tweet from the Conservative leader of the opposition, Pierre Polyvencic.

00:00:00.080 Hi, it's John and welcome to the channel enjoying my big blue mug of coffee on Tuesday, December the 10th.
00:00:06.180 Hope you're having a great day today and I want to talk a little bit about a couple of leaders.
00:00:10.800 I want to talk about Donald Trump in just a moment, although he's not officially the leader of the U.S.
00:00:16.580 That is kind of foreshadowing what I'm going to talk about.
00:00:19.300 And I want to talk about the leader of the official opposition here in Canada.
00:00:22.480 His name is Pierre Polyev, the conservative leader.
00:00:25.920 Huge story today. Polyev is in deep, deep trouble.
00:00:29.500 A story written up on the CBC website.
00:00:32.060 I actually read it for you so you don't have to.
00:00:34.060 I would caution you about going to the CBC website or ingest anything from the CBC.
00:00:39.860 It will rot your brain.
00:00:40.900 But I figure I can use it as a source because I pay for it to the tune of, I think it's $1.2 to $1.4 billion a year.
00:00:47.500 And hopefully I don't have to pay for it for very much longer.
00:00:49.740 But here is the article.
00:00:51.140 And oh my God, hold on.
00:00:53.800 It's a biggie.
00:00:54.460 Polyev's Santa Claus quip, trivialized Inuit presence in Arctic, says national Inuit leader.
00:01:04.240 That's the headline on the CBC website.
00:01:07.040 So what did Pierre Polyev tweet?
00:01:10.440 He tweeted the following.
00:01:12.020 Arctic ambassador?
00:01:14.060 To do diplomacy with who?
00:01:16.500 Santa Claus?
00:01:17.420 Now why did he tweet that?
00:01:18.840 Because Canada is going to appoint a new Arctic ambassador and open two new consulates in the Arctic.
00:01:27.200 And I mean, Polyev went on to say the liberals have failed to defend Canada's Arctic for nine years, which is absolutely true.
00:01:32.600 Now, the leader, the Inuit leader, is named Natan Obed.
00:01:37.800 And he's basically saying that Polyev is saying there's nothing really up there, and there's more to relieving Arctic tensions than icebreakers and guns.
00:01:46.120 Okay.
00:01:47.100 But here's my question.
00:01:48.780 Why do we need an ambassador to the Arctic?
00:01:51.780 Do we not already have three?
00:01:54.260 Because there are three governments in our Arctic.
00:01:56.940 Canada is made up of ten provinces and three territories.
00:01:59.700 The territories are the Yukon, Northwest Territories, and Nunavut.
00:02:03.020 And they all have governments.
00:02:04.580 And I guess you could say they are the ambassadors to Ottawa from the north, just like Daniel Smith, who is the premier of Alberta, is Alberta's ambassador to Ottawa.
00:02:17.480 I mean, it would be like the federal government setting up an ambassador and consulates here in Alberta.
00:02:23.300 That's not needed because we have government already.
00:02:25.520 In fact, Pyrapaliev could turn this around and say, no, it's the liberals who are trivializing the north.
00:02:30.200 They have governments.
00:02:31.900 Are they delegitimizing the governments there?
00:02:34.040 Why do we need Arctic ambassadors?
00:02:35.580 And what's this going to cost?
00:02:37.220 It's government.
00:02:38.000 It's going to cost a fortune.
00:02:38.860 There will be hundreds of people working there.
00:02:41.260 It's just crazy.
00:02:42.180 But watch for this to be a big story.
00:02:43.640 This went up at 2 a.m. this morning, December 10th.
00:02:45.880 This is going to be a big story.
00:02:46.940 And watch for the NDP and liberals to make a big deal out of this.
00:02:50.580 And Pyrapaliev is really clever.
00:02:52.720 He'll have plenty of comebacks on this one, but he's absolutely right.
00:02:55.300 This is absolutely ridiculous.
00:02:56.980 Government survived another non-confidence vote yesterday.
00:02:59.780 Pyrapaliev and the conservatives, very smart, using the leader of the NDP party against him.
00:03:06.240 A Maserati Marxist, Jagmeet Singh, is a leader of the NDP in Canada.
00:03:10.400 And his party voted with the liberals yesterday in a vote of non-confidence.
00:03:16.300 Meaning, Justin Trudeau's government survives again.
00:03:18.900 Now, the conservatives have been trying to get an election called.
00:03:21.880 So, basically, what happens, they put forward a motion.
00:03:24.900 They have the government vote on it.
00:03:26.760 If a majority voted in favor of the motion, the government falls.
00:03:29.640 An election is called.
00:03:30.420 It will not fall.
00:03:31.480 The government will stand.
00:03:32.760 But the amazing thing about this is, Jagmeet Singh's words were actually in the motion.
00:03:37.460 And Singh has been incredibly critical of the liberal government he's been propping up for years.
00:03:41.900 Saying words like, they're hurting Canadians, what they are.
00:03:45.020 But Jagmeet Singh doesn't seem to care that the liberal government is hurting Canadians.
00:03:48.180 They used his own words in the motion itself.
00:03:50.860 Very clever.
00:03:51.840 Didn't work.
00:03:52.780 My prediction is, the government will survive.
00:03:56.120 The election won't come until October.
00:03:58.300 That's what's going to happen.
00:03:59.660 This scares me.
00:04:00.640 This kind of thing scares me.
00:04:01.680 I mentioned in a video I did that Justin Trudeau is dangerous and desperate.
00:04:06.120 He's like a cornered animal.
00:04:08.580 And I'm scared what his government's going to do leading up to the election in October.
00:04:13.000 And how much money he's going to spend.
00:04:14.360 We still don't know what the deficit is here in Canada.
00:04:17.260 They projected it at $40 billion, but they haven't released the numbers yet.
00:04:22.840 And it's likely a lot more than that.
00:04:24.800 And the Conservatives under Polyev are pushing hard to try to find out how much money we're spending in this country.
00:04:30.160 But we don't know.
00:04:30.860 Now, the story here is that the government is spending a billion dollars for clean energy projects in New Brunswick.
00:04:37.400 And they're giving the money to Indigenous communities.
00:04:39.940 This is crazy stuff.
00:04:41.500 First of all, my stance on renewable energies is quite clear.
00:04:47.340 I don't believe we should be spending all this money on it.
00:04:49.360 But how much more of this kind of money are we going to throw out the door before October?
00:04:53.920 Another billion dollars.
00:04:55.320 I just mentioned a $40 billion deficit projected.
00:04:58.280 I remember when the federal government, under Trudeau, in 2015, said they were going to run, I believe they said, modest deficits of $10 billion a year for about three years.
00:05:08.120 And then they balanced the budget.
00:05:09.340 We're at $40 billion nine years in, and they've doubled our debt in this country.
00:05:14.360 So this kind of stuff scares me.
00:05:16.140 And you're going to see more of this.
00:05:17.240 More projects are going to come like this.
00:05:19.060 They're going to throw more money at groups across the country.
00:05:21.680 This is an Indigenous group.
00:05:23.120 And the other crazy thing about this is the government still can't give a lot of these people clean drinking water,
00:05:30.020 and they're handing money out to put up windmills and solar panels.
00:05:32.280 It's absolutely crazy.
00:05:33.200 Now, I want to get to Donald Trump just quickly here.
00:05:36.340 And the reason I'm bringing this up is because of what happened at the Notre Dame Cathedral.
00:05:41.420 They reopened it in France the other day, and Trump was there.
00:05:44.600 It was interesting.
00:05:45.180 You may have seen the picture of him with Jill Biden.
00:05:47.620 They seemed to be getting along great.
00:05:49.060 She was smiling, but Trump was there, and he is the titular head of the United States right now,
00:05:55.140 the de facto head of the United States right now, and you can't say anything otherwise.
00:05:59.920 I mean, he went there, and Macron rolled out the red carpet for him.
00:06:03.660 He talked to Macron.
00:06:05.340 He talked to Georgia Maloney from Italy.
00:06:07.900 He had a sit-down with Zelensky from Ukraine.
00:06:10.380 Donald Trump has not been sworn in yet, and he is leading the United States of America.
00:06:15.080 Joe Biden and Kamala Harris nowhere to be found right now.
00:06:18.780 Which leads me to believe, who is running the United States right now, officially?
00:06:23.340 But Donald Trump, never seen anything like this before, have you?
00:06:26.220 Is the leader of the United States right now.
00:06:28.460 He's having an effect on Mexico, on Canada, just by his presence.
00:06:32.460 The United States is back, baby.
00:06:34.340 Donald Trump is back.
00:06:35.880 Good times are coming.
00:06:37.460 Don't be afraid here in Canada.
00:06:38.900 Good times are coming, because Donald Trump is the leader of the United States,
00:06:42.780 and he's the leader of the world.
00:06:44.700 Thanks for watching.
