00:00:00.000 Hi, it's John and welcome to the channel 559 AM. It is Tuesday, June the 2nd. I hope you're
00:00:08.920 having a great start to your Tuesday with the big blue mug of coffee. I'm getting going late
00:00:13.540 this morning, but there's a reason. Okay. I had to find a lot of clips and put them into a video
00:00:19.220 this morning, which you're going to see in just a moment. And in this video, I'm going to show you
00:00:24.640 that Premier Danielle Smith is the greatest spokesperson for Alberta independence we could
00:00:29.740 have. Now, there are people who are right now actively trying to get rid of her. And I would
00:00:34.860 say, stop. We need her. We can beat the Forever Canadian campaign into the ground using her words
00:00:44.220 moving forward. So let's keep her around. She's one of our greatest weapons. Now, Danielle Smith
00:00:49.340 has gone to the Calgary Sun.
00:00:51.700 Rick Bell wrote this article.
00:00:53.000 I read this this morning.
00:00:54.420 This is the fear campaign you're going to hear about
00:00:56.960 leading up to October the 19th.
00:00:59.300 Danielle Smith drops a $400 billion bomb
00:01:02.420 on Alberta separatism.
00:01:04.980 And we have a rebuttal to this
00:01:06.660 and I hope we get out in front of this.
00:01:08.520 We need to have somebody going out
00:01:09.900 and saying to Rick Bell,
00:01:11.120 we would like to rebut what Premier Danielle Smith says
00:01:14.160 because we could be one of the richest countries
00:01:16.300 in the world if we leave.
00:01:18.160 Dubai with snow, as my friend Dennis Kalma says.
00:01:22.780 And here's what I want you to understand, folks.
00:01:25.300 What you're seeing on the screen right here is true.
00:01:28.820 All of these people on the screen are now the same.
00:01:33.920 They are the same.
00:01:35.360 They want to maintain the status quo.
00:01:38.740 And we want better for Alberta and Albertans, and we can do better.
00:01:43.540 So, in the words of Danielle Smith, here are the reasons why Alberta should leave Canada
00:01:49.380 and become an independent nation.
00:01:51.420 I hope you enjoy this.
00:01:53.220 I'm talking about these values, continuity, vision.
00:01:57.680 To reunite our progress is an unbroken and powerful tradition.
00:02:01.540 We have the ideas, we have the courage, and we have the passion and the skill to unify,
00:02:07.160 inspire, and move Alberta forward.
00:02:13.540 Ottawa overtaxing us. I mentioned that at the beginning of the evening, that our program
00:02:30.320 costs are 70% of all tax dollars. We only collect 40%. Ottawa collects 60%, and then
00:02:37.100 they use political means to transfer it. Alberta, year after year, has $20 to $25 billion
00:02:43.400 dollars that is siphoned out of our system to go to ottawa so that it could be spent mostly in
00:02:49.480 quebec but also in other places that vote liberal we've come together here today because canada
00:02:54.200 stands at a critical crossroads beneath our feet here in alberta we stand on oil reserves valued at
00:03:00.120 over nine trillion dollars and one more thing we literally live on top of more than a trillion
00:03:06.040 barrels of oil and more than a quadrillion cubic feet of natural gas what's your message
00:03:11.320 for the liberal leader? Well, you can't ride two morses at months. You've got to decide.
00:03:17.240 Are you going to repeal the policies that have killed investment in Alberta so that we can be
00:03:23.000 that energy superpower, or are you not? And so we've yet to see the answer to that question.
00:03:29.640 You look at pipelines in particular, we had $176 billion worth of proposed projects that got
00:03:37.800 cancelled because of the uncertainty created by various government laws. The ban on export of
00:03:43.780 bitumen from the West Coast, the no more pipelines bill, the threats of net zero electricity grid,
00:03:50.920 emissions cap on oil, emissions cap on methane, net zero vehicles, the list goes on and on and on.
00:03:57.300 And all of that dampens investment. And we've seen the results of it. And they're anti-resource,
00:04:02.040 keep it in the ground eco extremism has left us less able to secure to provide a secure supply of
00:04:09.240 energy to our friends and allies around the world with safe secure and responsibly produced energy
00:04:14.600 products so there's a reason why we refer to the last 10 years as canada's lost decade well i can
00:04:21.800 tell you that the albertans are questioning uh whether canada works and i'm not telling anything
00:04:27.240 you don't know there's a very active group that thinks canada's broken and so i suppose i could
00:04:33.480 just go down to the united states and start working with american counterparts to see if we can build
00:04:38.680 more pipelines they've expressed an interest in restarting the keystone xl and i suppose we could
00:04:42.840 maybe sell another million or two million barrels a day additional to the united states i have one 0.53
00:04:47.320 message alberta has had enough enough with ottawa trampling over our provincial jurisdiction like
00:04:54.680 Canada's Constitution doesn't exist, enough with the meaningless virtue 0.66
00:04:59.640 signaling climate policies that only make Canadians poorer and threaten our 0.96
00:05:04.280 energy security, enough of their screw the West will take the rest mentality, 0.84
00:05:09.880 enough with their soft on crime policies that let repeat offenders roam the
00:05:15.280 streets on bail, enough with their unsafe supply, their open border policies,
00:05:20.200 their censorship laws, the list goes on and on.
00:05:24.680 Thank you very much for watching.
00:05:34.200 It took some time to put this together, so if you liked it, please give it a thumbs up,
00:05:39.100 subscribe to the channel, ring the bell for notifications.
00:05:42.280 An additional request today, please share it, and I will see you in the next one.
