You may know a little bit about it. It was incredible. I met so many wonderful people of all types,

night. I would like to introduce you to Paula Simons. This is Paula Simons, an unelected senator

for Alberta. She used to be a journalist. Now, for those of you who don't know, Alberta actually

elects its senators. Unfortunately, if you look down here, you can see the people who have been

elected. Very seldom are they chosen as actual senators because only conservative governments

choose our senators that are elected. When it's a liberal government, they pick people like Paula

Simons. Paula Simons, I believe, became a senator in 2018. She was chosen by Justin Trudeau. She went

on the Courtney Theriot show the other day on CHED in Edmonton. And for those of you who didn't hear

what she had to say, I'm going to act on this, folks. Here's her rant.

Well, you know, and I think to be blunt, and I will be blunt, I think a lot of the emotion that's

driving the Alberta Prosperity Project is pretty ugly. It's not about making an argument about

access to tidewater and pipelines. It's frankly xenophobic. It's frankly racist. It's frankly

misogynist. It's very anti-woman. It's about taking Alberta back to some kind of imaginary 1950s

world of, you know, women barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen. And I think it is virulently

When I heard these words come out of Ms. Simon's mouth on this radio program, it made me sick.

Particularly after attending an event like happened here in Calgary at the Queensland Community Center

on Saturday night. It was one of the most peaceful, loving, and friendly events I have ever been to.

There were people there of all ages. There were people there of all races. There were people there

of all sexual preferences. There were people there of all religions. And everybody was happy.

So, I heard what Ms. Simons had to say. And I thought, you know, there must be some kind of code

of conduct when it comes to people who are in the Senate. There must be. And there is.

So, here it is. The code. The Office of the Senate Ethics Officer. There is this segment at the

beginning that talks about purposes and principles. But let's read this part down here when it talks

General conduct. A Senator's conduct shall uphold the highest standards of dignity inherent to the

engaging in conduct that constitute harassment and violence. Does what Ms. Simons have to say deal

with harassment and violence? You can jump to your own conclusions. But I do not believe she is doing

Dear Sir, Madam, I am writing in relation to the behavior of a Canadian Senator named Paula Simons.

Ms. Simons, in a recent interview with Courtney Theriot on CHED Edmonton, went on a rant regarding

millions of people who live in Alberta. This rant was based on the current independence movement in the

province. Ms. Simons said the following, quote,

unquote. As someone who has attended many events for the Alberta Prosperity Project,

Now Stay Free Alberta, none of what she says is true. People of all ages, races, sexual preferences,

and religions attend these meetings peacefully, and in friendship, everyone is welcome. From the web page

right here. I just read this section to you. I conclude, Ms. Simons sullies the reputation and

dignity of the Senate and the position she holds. Her words, disparaging what could amount to millions

of Albertans she is supposed to represent, are abhorrent, disgraceful, and wrong. I am asking that

Ms. Simons write an apology letter to me and the people of Alberta for this behavior. I will then

read it to my 45,000 subscribers on my YouTube channel, many of whom want Alberta independence.

following. Ms. Simons, surely you can't do a broad stroke and paint all of the people who are part of

the independence movement as racist, xenophobic, homophobic, and anti-Semitic. Surely you're not

saying that, Ms. Simons. That's what you should have said, Mr. Theriot. You should know better. You

should not be on the air unless you know that. You're supposed to have balance. You're supposed to

remain neutral. But you obviously believe that yourself, or you would have said something.
