00:00:14.040 So over the last week, I've been a little bit hard on Premier Danielle Smith, and I think

00:00:19.060 rightfully so. I did do a video within the last week saying she's one of the greatest spokespeople

00:00:24.780 for the Alberta independence movement. As she says, Alberta has an Ottawa problem, but Premier

00:00:30.440 Danielle Smith has now aligned herself with the establishment, with Ottawa, with Mark Carney,

00:00:35.660 with the Liberal Party of Canada, as far as I'm concerned, and with people who are fighting

00:00:39.520 against her base, who want a better life for their children and grandchildren, and that would be the

00:00:44.760 independence movement. Don't believe what you're hearing in the media, folks. The independence

00:00:48.660 movement is growing here in Alberta. But I have been hard on Danielle Smith. Now, she did a speech

00:00:53.100 the other night. I'm going to play a short segment of that, and we're going to go over

00:00:56.260 her speech, where she's touting her great accomplishments working with the federal

00:00:59.880 government, working with the establishment, working with Mark Carney, working with the

00:01:03.360 liberals in Ottawa. She touts the accomplishments of the United Conservative Party here.

00:01:10.560 And is she outright lying about things? Maybe not, but she's twisting the truth into a pretzel.

00:01:19.200 Now, you might remember it was a little over a year ago where she came out spitting fire about nine bad laws that must be removed.

00:01:27.240 And she gave it a time frame sometime in the fall.

00:01:30.020 Now, that time has passed.

00:01:32.980 Have the nine bad laws been removed?

00:01:35.120 A couple have, but not the most important ones.

00:01:39.180 So what I'm going to do right now, before I get to the video of Danielle Smith, the big grin on her face, she looks rather glossy.

00:01:45.300 I don't think she's getting much sleep these days, but I'm going to play a clip of her going

00:01:50.640 over four points, which take those nine bad laws into consideration. And she throws in a couple

00:01:57.260 other things Alberta wanted as well. And then we'll come back and look at her video from just

00:02:01.440 the other night and we'll pick it apart because basically the premier is telling a lot of fibs

00:02:09.220 to the people of this province. And by the way, watch the people in the audience who are obviously

00:02:14.620 people who are her loyalists with some very lukewarm applause. So let's go back to last year

00:02:20.300 and hear from Premier Danielle Smith. First, Alberta requires guaranteed corridor and port

00:02:26.820 access to tidewater off the Pacific, Arctic and Atlantic coasts for the international export of

00:02:32.460 Alberta oil, gas, critical minerals and other resources in amounts supported by the free market

00:02:38.660 rather than by the dictates and whims of Ottawa.

00:02:42.060 Second, the federal government must end all federal interference

00:02:46.840 in the development of provincial resources by repealing the No New Pipelines Law, C-69,

00:02:52.740 the oil tanker ban, the net-zero electricity regulations,

00:02:56.340 the oil and gas emissions cap, the net-zero vehicle mandate,

00:03:00.760 and any federal law or regulation that purports to regulate industrial carbon emissions,

00:03:05.060 plastics or the commercial free speech of energy companies these laws are destroying investment

00:03:11.600 confidence and costing Canada and Alberta hundreds of billions in investments each year they need to

00:03:17.620 go third the federal government must refrain from imposing export taxes or restrictions on the

00:03:24.280 export of Alberta resources without the consent of the government of Alberta and fourth the federal

00:03:30.500 government must provide to Alberta the same per capita federal transfers and equalization as is

00:03:36.940 received by the other three largest provinces, Quebec, Ontario, and British Columbia. Premier

00:03:43.720 Smith with a very serious face when she said those things. I would say she has two faces. She's a

00:03:50.200 little bit two-faced. But let's take a look at the propaganda, or sorry, the social media postings

00:03:56.360 from the Alberta government. I'll just move my face out of the way there. Alberta, there it is,

00:04:00.840 logo down in the bottom right corner. You can see up in the top left here, it's unity. Alberta and

00:04:06.700 Canada, fixing Canada's nine bad laws. We'll get to the premier and her words the other night in

00:04:11.240 just a moment. So here are the nine bad laws, but the words have been kind of fudged here a little

00:04:16.900 bit. So let's go through a few of these. No more oil and gas production cap. No more consumer

00:04:22.620 carbon tax. Well, yeah, that's one of the laws that's gone. Thank you to Pierre Polyev and the

00:04:28.020 Conservative Party because we would still have that if it wasn't for them prior to the election

00:04:32.360 last year. Just remember that. No more Alberta net zero power regs. No more EV mandate. No more

00:04:37.580 export tax threats. A new West Coast pipeline. Tanker ban adjusted. Interesting the way that

00:04:45.160 word has been thrown in there. I don't think that's what she actually asked for. We'll get

00:04:48.800 to that in just a moment. Greenwashing provisions were removed. I will give them that. Probably the

00:04:53.340 least important thing among these nine bad laws. And at the bottom, you can see a question mark

00:04:58.780 labeling plastics as toxic. The federal government still wants to take away your straws. They're

00:05:04.340 challenging that in court. So let's go over to Danielle Smith and hear what she had to say 0.88

00:05:09.480 in front of the loyalists of the United Conservative Party. And again, you're going to

00:05:13.420 see them clapping politely, but not enthusiastically, because I don't think they're

00:05:17.940 buying what the premier is selling here. Here we go. The oil and gas emissions cap is gone under

00:05:23.580 this agreement. And that means instead of phasing out the oil sands, we can now double our oil and

00:05:29.120 gas production and generate hundreds of billions in wealth and hundreds of thousands of jobs.

00:05:34.940 The oil and gas emissions cap is gone. Well, that is true, but it was replaced with an industrial

00:05:43.040 carbon tax, which adds another 10, maybe 15 dollars to a barrel of oil in Alberta, making us

00:05:49.560 uncompetitive. In addition, under this agreement, the dangerous net zero electricity regulations

00:05:56.780 gone. Is that true? Well, perhaps. But I've shown you this document before. This is the Prime

00:06:03.760 Minister of Canada. His website, May 14th, 2026, Prime Minister Carney announces forthcoming

00:06:09.760 national electricity strategy. Not a lot of people talking about this. I did talk about this before

00:06:15.480 and I did search for the word clean and you can see it up here. It's 25 times in this short document

00:06:20.480 and I'm going to read every one of them because it's number one on the list for Mark Carney.

00:10:15.620 recognizing it as a foundational nutrient for all life on earth. But Daniel Smith is just

00:10:21.940 disregarding what her party had to say about that. Let's move on.

00:10:26.580 and it needs to be said again, Stephen McGeebo is gone. Okay, so this is red meat for the party,

00:10:34.740 but watch the unenthusiastic applause for this. These people aren't buying what she's selling here.

00:10:51.400 plan. Industry now has the time and the certainty needed to plan and invest and deliver real

00:10:57.100 emissions-reducing projects without undermining competitiveness. Do you believe that? She's been

00:11:04.800 trying to find an investor for a pipeline for months, and she hasn't announced one yet. Folks,

00:11:11.280 she's going to roll something out around July 1st and present a pipeline plan to the major

00:11:16.960 Projects office here in Calgary that Mark Carney set up, but there won't be any shovels in the

00:11:22.880 ground. She's going to say we could have shovels in the ground by next year. Don't count on it.

00:11:32.780 West Coast pipeline with construction starting as early as September 1st of 2027. So I'd like to say

00:11:45.320 Okay, let me just address this for a moment. She's said many times, we've lost $175 billion

00:11:52.400 in investment in our province, mostly in oil and gas. That is generational theft from the people

00:11:57.780 of Alberta. That's criminal. We had that article not too long ago, I'll bring it up again, RBC,

00:12:04.700 a trillion dollars in lost investment because of the liberals. And she's just passing it off like,

00:12:10.100 oh, well, we'll just move on from the generational theft. Let's move on.

00:12:14.760 New pipelines, west, east, north, and south, without delay and without hesitation.

00:12:21.400 Without hesitation? The only pipeline that has been approved is one here, South Bow Targets

00:12:29.580 2027 decision on Canada-U.S. oil pipeline revival. Let me read you one line from this story.

00:12:35.700 U.S. President Donald Trump has signed an order granting a cross-border permit to the new proposal.

00:12:42.080 The only person that has approved a pipeline for Alberta is the United States and Donald Trump.

00:12:49.400 Mark Carney tomorrow could approve a pipeline to the West Coast in the national interest, but he hasn't done it yet.

00:12:57.460 To supply Asian and European and American markets with safe and reliable and responsibly produced Alberta energy.

00:13:03.940 Not just the West Coast Oil Pipeline Project, but also Enbridge, Trans Mountain, South Bow, Pembina, and ATCO are all advancing expansions and new projects representing hundreds of billions of dollars of investment in new pipeline capacity.

00:13:49.720 Not too many people clapping here. Look. That's just the energy story. Thanks to the removal of

00:13:54.180 the net zero power regulations. This is extraordinary. She's lost her party. They're

00:13:58.900 not very happy with what she's saying here. And let me bring up this because she didn't bring this

00:14:03.500 up. I've used this graphic many times before. Each time I have to raise the money amount. It's now

00:14:10.920 $20 billion. It was at $16 billion. This is the carbon capture machine that Danielle Smith has

00:14:16.040 agreed to put in based on her MOU with Mark Carney. I've put to infinity here because Albertans are

00:14:21.600 going to have to pay for this thing. People don't want to live next to it. And of course, the UCP

00:14:26.660 voted to end net zero targets here in this province. She's just kind of disregarding what

00:14:31.420 they want. And the other thing that she mentioned off the top, one of those demands she made,

00:14:35.540 it was number four, was an end to unfair equalization. Alberta puts $25 billion 0.90

00:14:41.740 into equalization payments every year. Albertans voted 62% to end equalization in a referendum in

00:14:49.380 2021. And it hasn't happened because it requires constitutional change. It will never happen.

00:14:55.280 The only way it will happen is if people vote for Alberta independence.

00:15:01.420 Danielle Smith has lost her party, she's lost her base, and quite frankly, I think

00:15:06.480 she's lost her mind.
