John Bolton - The Good, The Bad & The UGLY： Rent Drops, Deficit Pops, PEACE Gets PROTESTED

00:00:00.000 Hi, it's John and welcome to the channel. Great to have you along today. It is 5 30 a.m. Thursday,

00:00:09.220 October the 9th. I've got my big blue mug of coffee this morning. If you hear some noises

00:00:13.660 in the background, I'm doing the laundry. Almost done the laundry. So thanks for being here,

00:00:20.160 by the way. If you've subscribed, thanks. I'd love to get to 40,000. Boy, that would be a real

00:00:24.700 accomplishment for this channel. If you haven't subscribed yet, please click on subscribe. Thank

00:00:29.500 you. So I got up this morning thinking about what am I going to talk about today? I thought about

00:00:34.620 talking about government, the latest non-trade deal with the United States of America, the dumpster 0.51

00:00:40.620 fire that Canada continues to be. If you haven't seen yesterday's video, I'll put a card up at the

00:00:44.520 end so you can click on that. I thought I'd talk about question period today, but other channels

00:00:49.500 are doing that. They sit there and watch this stuff. And being an older guy, I've been watching

00:00:54.140 this stuff since I first voted when I was 18. I'm going to turn 61 in a few months.

00:00:59.500 And it accomplishes nothing. Polyev makes good points. He tries to make points against the

00:01:03.020 liberals. They scream at him like petulant children from the cheap seats. And then Carney 0.96

00:01:06.720 or one of his liberal ministers stand up with their regular liberal, smug, arrogant grin on

00:01:11.280 their face and nothing gets accomplished. So I thought I'd do a video today called The Good,

00:01:15.120 The Bad and The Ugly. Yeah. Ennio Morricone, right? So I'm going to give you The Good first. So hold on

00:01:25.420 because I know you're waiting for The Bad and The Ugly. The bad is really bad. And it's really bad

00:01:31.300 considering all the crap that the liberals have done over the last 10 years that this is a really 0.99

00:01:35.420 bad thing. And The Ugly is the depths of depravity as far as I'm concerned. So let's start off with The 0.99

00:01:41.900 Good. A personal story. Please stick with me here. We've talked about the price of housing and rent

00:01:46.920 in Canada. And I've got some good news for you. Personal story. My mother-in-law moved here a

00:01:51.740 couple of years ago because rent became far too expensive in British Columbia. We had her come stay

00:01:56.500 with us for a while and we encouraged her to come move to Calgary because rent was cheaper. And over

00:02:01.120 the last couple of years, the rent prices have gone up. And we were expecting her to move back in

00:02:06.220 with us for a few months until we found her a cheaper apartment. She got a call yesterday

00:02:10.380 from her landlord. They say she's a great tenant and rental prices have come down and she doesn't

00:02:16.740 have to move out of her apartment. And we were on the phone with her yesterday and she was crying 0.58

00:02:21.520 because she wanted to stay in her house. She's 90 years old, very, very capable of taking care of 0.99

00:02:27.280 herself. So good news there. That's good news. It's nice to hear things like that. Now, what's the bad?

00:02:33.320 Now, this is one of the most disrespectful, disgraceful, disingenuous games of sleight of

00:02:38.920 hand you've ever seen in your life. And I think this is an awful thing. And it's been set up for

00:02:44.180 months. Mark Carney set this up months ago when he said this over and over again.

00:02:49.980 I have a simple rule. Spend less, invest more.

00:02:53.680 Spend less, invest more. So what the liberals are going to do is they're going to try to pull the

00:02:57.920 wool over your eyes by saying they're balancing the operating budget. Meanwhile, the deficit is

00:03:03.300 likely to be the largest in Canadian history. And they're going to call this investment.

00:03:08.300 The worst part of this is the people who voted for Carney and support Carney and the liberals will

00:03:12.700 buy this hook, line and sinker. Let's just take a look at an article here from Jesse Klein from

00:03:17.080 yesterday. This is in the National Post or sorry, the Financial Post. Liberals use accounting magic to

00:03:22.920 mask their fiscal ineptitude. With a sleight of hand, finance minister Francois-Philippe Champagne

00:03:28.100 intends to wave away all the bad news. They're lying to us. You can't spell liberal without L-I-N-E.

00:03:37.100 The great magician Harry Houdini once said, what the eyes see and the ears hear, the mind believes.

00:03:43.320 This is the philosophy Prime Minister Mark Carney's liberals appear to be utilizing to downplay the

00:03:48.960 dire fiscal situation they have put Canada in. Not to worry because with a sleight of hand,

00:03:55.000 finance minister Francois-Philippe Champagne intends to wave away all the bad news.

00:03:59.740 And on Monday, Champagne provided further details on the government's plan to move a

00:04:04.100 capital budgeting framework that will see the budget split between capital and operating expenses so

00:04:11.040 the liberals can claim to balance one side of the ledger while racking up record-setting deficits on

00:04:16.400 the other. Ottawa says that capital investment will be defined broadly as any government expense or tax

00:04:22.460 expenditure that contributes to public or private sector capital formation held directly on the

00:04:27.560 government's balance sheet or on that of a private sector entity, indigenous community, or another

00:04:33.080 level of government. The operating budget will include day-to-day operating spending, such as

00:04:38.160 transfers to persons, health and social transfers, and the costs of running government operations and

00:04:42.880 services, including salaries and benefits. Basically, anything else, including capital transfers to other

00:04:48.280 levels of government, corporate tax incentives, private sector R&D grants, corporate subsidies,

00:04:53.300 and measures to increase the housing supply will be reframed as investments and downplayed by

00:04:58.760 officials. They are lying to you, and they've been setting this up for months. And again, the sad part of

00:05:03.380 this is the fact that people are going to buy this, the people who vote liberal. This is investment,

00:05:07.780 don't you forget. Now, this is one of the most amazing things you've ever seen. This is from

00:05:13.320 Canada Proud. Thanks to Canada Proud for posting this on Ex-Liberal Minister Francois-Philippe Champagne,

00:05:18.000 who has zero experience in the financial sector, tried to lecture Conservative MP Sandra Cabina.

00:05:23.480 She's from New Market Aurora, I believe, a former commercial banker at TD about finance. Listen to this.

00:05:30.400 Minister, I'd like to have a frank discussion with you. Just simple questions, simple answers.

00:05:37.560 You say you want to change how you budget, and I have to ask myself, why not change your reckless

00:05:46.080 spending instead? Because if I can say to my husband, buying too many purses is an investment,

00:05:51.480 but that doesn't change the fact that it is irresponsible. So my question to you is,

00:05:57.640 why are you changing how you present the budget rather than changing your reckless spending so

00:06:03.520 that on a net basis, you actually balance it? Well, you should ask yourself why you voted against

00:06:09.640 measures that support Canadians. I think people watching at home would be surprised to see your

00:06:13.980 voting records and say, you voted against measures that would make your life more easy.

00:06:18.140 Minister, it's a very, very simple answer. I just, I really want you to answer my question.

00:06:22.500 Why are you changing how you're presenting it rather than actually trying to balance the budget?

00:06:27.940 I think Canadians are entitled to transparency. In a frank discussion between you and I,

00:06:32.360 I think your husband and your family and everyone in your riding is entitled to have more transparency

00:06:39.640 to see the budgeting, where their tax dollars is going to be used. I think this is...

00:06:44.640 He's lying and he's trying to hide what's actually going on here. This is going to be ugly.

00:06:50.620 Really ugly when we get the budget and we find out what the numbers are. They're concerned because

00:06:55.800 we could have an election based on this. Because a budget situation could result in a vote of

00:07:01.600 non-confidence in the government. And who is going to support the Liberals here?

00:07:07.180 Who's going to support you here? The Bloc Québécois, the NDP, or the Conservatives? Conservatives will

00:07:13.100 support you on this. Who knows with the other two parties? This is the bad. And this is really bad.

00:07:18.680 Now, the ugly is here. Let's go to the ugly. You're going to look at this and say, this isn't ugly.

00:07:23.840 This is a good thing, John. But the ugly is coming. In fact, it's already started.

00:07:27.080 I'm going to just show you a little bit of it here. Here's Donald Trump. This is on True Social

00:07:32.040 yesterday. I'm very proud to announce that Israel and Hamas have both signed off on the first phase 0.98

00:07:37.680 of our peace plan. This means that all of the hostages will be released very soon and Israel 0.79

00:07:43.200 will withdraw their troops to an agreed-upon line as the first steps toward a strong, durable,

00:07:48.880 and everlasting peace. All parties will be treated fairly. This is a great day for the Arab and Muslim

00:07:54.880 world, Israel, all surrounding nations, and the United States of America. And we thank the

00:07:59.320 mediators from Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey who worked with us to make this historic and unprecedented

00:08:05.340 event happen. Blessed are the peacemakers. Here's an article right here. PJ Media, Trump announces

00:08:10.920 Israel-Hamas peace deal. How could this be ugly?

00:08:15.580 Pierre Polyev commented on this yesterday. Congratulations to President Trump on negotiating a peaceful end

00:08:21.480 to the Israel-Hamas war, a monumental achievement toward generational peace. We look forward to and 0.67

00:08:27.640 pray for the return of all hostages and the end of this bloodshed so all can thrive in a lasting peace. 0.97

00:08:33.380 They're talking about the Nobel Peace Prize for Donald Trump, and damn it, he should get it. But 0.87

00:08:37.240 this is what you can expect. Well, in fact, let me just take a look at the response to what

00:08:42.640 Pierre Polyev said here. This is what a leader does. It doesn't matter who's negotiating the peace.

00:08:50.780 This is a good thing. Pierre Polyev is congratulating the president for an amazing peace deal, for doing

00:08:56.400 a good thing for the world. The first person to respond to this is, WTF are you doing? You lie 0.94

00:09:02.880 about and undermine RPM several times a day while he's trying to keep Canada alive under the threat

00:09:07.780 of Donald Trump, and now you're actually kissing up to Trump. You are completely, completely unfit for 0.92

00:09:12.640 office. This is the ugly, folks. This is the ugly because this is a peace deal. People will stop 1.00

00:09:20.540 dying, but you're going to find people in Canada, the United States, and around the world hoping that

00:09:25.720 this falls apart because they don't want Donald Trump to get a win here. Look at this. Democrats trying

00:09:31.360 to figure out how to make Trump out to be a fascist for creating a peace deal between Israel and Hamas.

00:09:37.520 This is the kind of thing you're going to see. This is my prediction. It's already happening.

00:09:41.240 We've got the good, we've got the bad, and we've got the ugly.

00:09:47.420 Thanks for watching. I appreciate it. If you like the video, please give it a thumbs up. Subscribe to

00:09:52.220 the channel. Ring the bell for notifications, and I just want to remind you, if you're in Alberta on

00:09:57.320 October the 25th from 4 to 6 p.m. in Edmonton at the legislature, a giant independence rally is coming

00:10:03.600 up. I will be there. Be sure to be there too. Also, take your phone and record a video encouraging

00:10:09.020 people to be there as well and tag it with, I am Alberta. Thanks for watching. I'll see you in the next one.
