It's a wet morning in Panama as the rain is coming down hard, but it doesn't stop me from getting this video done. It's about the Canadian government trying to get the BMO Centre event cancelled, and how they are trying to shut down the independence movement.
00:00:00.000Hi, it's John and welcome to the channel Wednesday, January the 14th, 512 AM. I hope you're having a great start to your Wednesday morning. It's 512 Panamanian time. I am in Panama or a little northwest of Panama right now at the Summit Rainforest and Golf Resort. And I, you know, I want to get this video done quickly because as I sit here, everything is getting wet, including my laptop. I had to wipe everything down this morning and don't be surprised.
00:00:30.000If you see a monkey behind me, it's just like that here. It's just really, really extraordinary, lovely morning. I'm sitting, there's two pools around me right now and I found a quiet place outside to do this video. Some of you may be seeing this video later because I'm kind of in the Eastern time zone right now.
00:00:46.180I want to keep the channel going. I've got an interview planned over the next day or so, but I am going to keep the channel going over the 10 days that I'm here. And I did bring along the big blue mug of coffee. I've got it here with me.
00:00:59.480I got in a lot of trouble on Saturday night at the event I was at because I didn't bring this with me. And this video actually has a little bit to do with that, but it's got a little bit to do with Canada as well. Kind of a winners and losers. Maybe that's not the best title for it, but kind of like that. It's been extraordinary to see the fallout since that event happened.
00:01:16.680The pictures have been remarkable. Small towns in Alberta that had events on the same evening and have had events since have doubled their populations because people want to sign a petition for independence here. It's extraordinary.
00:01:30.320The event on Saturday night was beyond anything I could imagine. The people were lined up all the way down the block. I think they signed up 2,000 people that night at a small event that we had that grew way beyond what we thought was going to happen.
00:01:42.220But what's happened since then has been rather unsettling in a way and disgraceful in another. Prior to the event, we got called things like traitors and sedition.
00:01:56.160Some people who should have known better suggested that people had had their lives ended for talking about what we talk about in the independence movement, which is disgraceful and disgusting.
00:02:07.380You know, Corey Morgan brought something up the other night at the event at the Queensland Community Center saying, you know, when Quebec wanted to leave in 95, everybody was, please Quebec don't leave.
00:02:15.680But now that Alberta wants to leave, we're being called the worst things possible.
00:02:20.380There is a saying. I'm not sure who said it. It may be attributed to a number of different people. I think it's unknown.
00:02:27.020But when the debate is lost, slander becomes the tool of the loser. And I think the debate is being lost in a big way for the anti-independent side.
00:02:37.840Traitor is being thrown around, seditionist, MF this, F that, mouth breather, redneck hick, wearing a stupid hat and pointy shoes.
00:02:47.880They're just words. But we're seeing a lot more of this right now. And the hatred is out there.
00:02:53.360And anybody in this movement, be prepared for anything at this point.
00:02:56.760But this is what's happening right now when it comes to the independence movement.
00:03:00.520Now, the other thing that's happening that is incredibly disgraceful in a country that's supposed to have free speech laws or free speech, you don't.
00:03:08.420It's in Section 2 of the Charter. But because of Section 1 of the Charter, you have no rights.
00:03:13.660And in an independent Alberta, you would have the right to free speech and it can't be taken away just to let you know that.
00:03:20.720That's being worked on right now. But people who don't want the independence movement to succeed are trying to get everything canceled now.
00:03:27.980And this is the tool of the left. So if you're somebody who is a conservative and right now you're sitting on the fence when it comes to the independence movement,
00:03:35.920know that a lot of the people who are on the other side of the independence movement, they are far leftists trying to shut us down.
00:03:42.820And if you're a conservative, you are against that. Come over to our side because you'll get your freedoms and your rights given to you,
00:03:49.880not taken away like the government is so capable of doing through Section 1 of the Charter.
00:03:54.140But they're trying to cancel events here now. And this is disgraceful. They're trying to cancel the big event January 26th at the BMO Center.
00:04:03.880We're expecting 6,500 people there. And no doubt the BMO Center is being inundated with email right now saying,
00:04:11.480how can you possibly let this political event happen there? They're trying to break up our country.
00:04:16.700I hope the BMO Center knows better, but don't be surprised if it gets canceled. So I hope the powers that be in the independence movement are looking at another place to have that,
00:04:29.060because I wouldn't be surprised if it gets canceled. Other places are canceling. There's legions across Alberta have canceled these events.
00:04:35.760There are businesses who have canceled these events. I believe businesses have a right to allow whoever they want in their buildings.
00:04:42.980But I also believe if you're not allowing people to come in and congregate in your building and you're keeping them away,
00:04:48.980they have a right to stay out of your business and not give them your business anymore. So just keep that in mind.
00:04:55.360So all of these things are happening, right? We've got the events happening, the people showing up in droves, the other side's getting scared,
00:05:02.720the slander is being thrown around because that's the tool of the loser. We're seeing events canceled. More of this is going to happen.
00:05:09.140But the other thing I'm seeing right now is people throwing their hopes on a possible pipeline.
00:05:15.300I don't care if we get a pipeline at this point. It's too late. Let's just look at the numbers, just some of the numbers, okay?
00:05:23.620Alberta sends about $20 to $25 billion out east in equalization payments each year.
00:05:28.740That money goes to liberal-friendly ridings to bribe liberal voters.
00:05:33.520And that's about $5,000 to $6,000 for every man, woman, and child in the province.
00:05:38.280We've lost about half a trillion dollars in investment because of the Liberal Party out in Canada.
00:05:43.320We've sent $600 billion in equalization over the last 40 to 50 years out east, and we get nothing but stop being a bunch of whiners.
00:05:52.520I did a speech on Saturday night at the Queensland Community Center, which you can watch.
00:05:58.880And I said, there's a lot of reasons to leave, and one of them is money, but I'm tired of hearing no, and that's my main reason for wanting to leave, right?
00:06:39.280They're a group that has been funded by environmental groups in the United States of America.
00:06:47.340They've got nothing to do with First Nations groups.
00:06:49.800And by him being on the West Coast, it's an insult to our intelligence to think he's going to get anything done with these people.
00:06:56.800And even though he stood out in front of the crowd and did his normal jibber-jabber, and spewed a whole bunch of words that meant nothing, the group came right back that represents nothing on the West Coast and had this to say.
00:07:13.080We also made our positions very clear and reiterated those positions around our stance regarding the oil pipeline and that that has not changed.
00:07:27.980Coastal First Nations, along with Laxquilams and the High Salination, oppose any project that proposed to bring oil tankers to the North Coast.
00:07:37.740They said no, and of course they said no.
00:07:40.780It's all we hear anymore out in Alberta.
