Summary

It's a wet morning in Panama as the rain is coming down hard, but it doesn't stop me from getting this video done. It's about the Canadian government trying to get the BMO Centre event cancelled, and how they are trying to shut down the independence movement.

00:00:00.000 Hi, it's John and welcome to the channel Wednesday, January the 14th, 512 AM. I hope you're having a great start to your Wednesday morning. It's 512 Panamanian time. I am in Panama or a little northwest of Panama right now at the Summit Rainforest and Golf Resort. And I, you know, I want to get this video done quickly because as I sit here, everything is getting wet, including my laptop. I had to wipe everything down this morning and don't be surprised.
00:00:30.000 If you see a monkey behind me, it's just like that here. It's just really, really extraordinary, lovely morning. I'm sitting, there's two pools around me right now and I found a quiet place outside to do this video. Some of you may be seeing this video later because I'm kind of in the Eastern time zone right now.
00:00:46.180 I want to keep the channel going. I've got an interview planned over the next day or so, but I am going to keep the channel going over the 10 days that I'm here. And I did bring along the big blue mug of coffee. I've got it here with me.
00:00:59.480 I got in a lot of trouble on Saturday night at the event I was at because I didn't bring this with me. And this video actually has a little bit to do with that, but it's got a little bit to do with Canada as well. Kind of a winners and losers. Maybe that's not the best title for it, but kind of like that. It's been extraordinary to see the fallout since that event happened.
00:01:16.680 The pictures have been remarkable. Small towns in Alberta that had events on the same evening and have had events since have doubled their populations because people want to sign a petition for independence here. It's extraordinary.
00:01:30.320 The event on Saturday night was beyond anything I could imagine. The people were lined up all the way down the block. I think they signed up 2,000 people that night at a small event that we had that grew way beyond what we thought was going to happen.
00:01:42.220 But what's happened since then has been rather unsettling in a way and disgraceful in another. Prior to the event, we got called things like traitors and sedition.
00:01:56.160 Some people who should have known better suggested that people had had their lives ended for talking about what we talk about in the independence movement, which is disgraceful and disgusting.
00:02:07.380 You know, Corey Morgan brought something up the other night at the event at the Queensland Community Center saying, you know, when Quebec wanted to leave in 95, everybody was, please Quebec don't leave.
00:02:15.680 But now that Alberta wants to leave, we're being called the worst things possible.
00:02:20.380 There is a saying. I'm not sure who said it. It may be attributed to a number of different people. I think it's unknown.
00:02:27.020 But when the debate is lost, slander becomes the tool of the loser. And I think the debate is being lost in a big way for the anti-independent side.
00:02:37.840 Traitor is being thrown around, seditionist, MF this, F that, mouth breather, redneck hick, wearing a stupid hat and pointy shoes.
00:02:47.880 They're just words. But we're seeing a lot more of this right now. And the hatred is out there.
00:02:53.360 And anybody in this movement, be prepared for anything at this point.
00:02:56.760 But this is what's happening right now when it comes to the independence movement.
00:03:00.520 Now, the other thing that's happening that is incredibly disgraceful in a country that's supposed to have free speech laws or free speech, you don't.
00:03:08.420 It's in Section 2 of the Charter. But because of Section 1 of the Charter, you have no rights.
00:03:13.660 And in an independent Alberta, you would have the right to free speech and it can't be taken away just to let you know that.
00:03:20.720 That's being worked on right now. But people who don't want the independence movement to succeed are trying to get everything canceled now.
00:03:27.980 And this is the tool of the left. So if you're somebody who is a conservative and right now you're sitting on the fence when it comes to the independence movement,
00:03:35.920 know that a lot of the people who are on the other side of the independence movement, they are far leftists trying to shut us down.
00:03:42.820 And if you're a conservative, you are against that. Come over to our side because you'll get your freedoms and your rights given to you,
00:03:49.880 not taken away like the government is so capable of doing through Section 1 of the Charter.
00:03:54.140 But they're trying to cancel events here now. And this is disgraceful. They're trying to cancel the big event January 26th at the BMO Center.
00:04:03.880 We're expecting 6,500 people there. And no doubt the BMO Center is being inundated with email right now saying,
00:04:11.480 how can you possibly let this political event happen there? They're trying to break up our country.
00:04:16.700 I hope the BMO Center knows better, but don't be surprised if it gets canceled. So I hope the powers that be in the independence movement are looking at another place to have that,
00:04:29.060 because I wouldn't be surprised if it gets canceled. Other places are canceling. There's legions across Alberta have canceled these events.
00:04:35.760 There are businesses who have canceled these events. I believe businesses have a right to allow whoever they want in their buildings.
00:04:42.980 But I also believe if you're not allowing people to come in and congregate in your building and you're keeping them away,
00:04:48.980 they have a right to stay out of your business and not give them your business anymore. So just keep that in mind.
00:04:55.360 So all of these things are happening, right? We've got the events happening, the people showing up in droves, the other side's getting scared,
00:05:02.720 the slander is being thrown around because that's the tool of the loser. We're seeing events canceled. More of this is going to happen.
00:05:09.140 But the other thing I'm seeing right now is people throwing their hopes on a possible pipeline.
00:05:15.300 I don't care if we get a pipeline at this point. It's too late. Let's just look at the numbers, just some of the numbers, okay?
00:05:23.620 Alberta sends about $20 to $25 billion out east in equalization payments each year.
00:05:28.740 That money goes to liberal-friendly ridings to bribe liberal voters.
00:05:33.520 And that's about $5,000 to $6,000 for every man, woman, and child in the province.
00:05:38.280 We've lost about half a trillion dollars in investment because of the Liberal Party out in Canada.
00:05:43.320 We've sent $600 billion in equalization over the last 40 to 50 years out east, and we get nothing but stop being a bunch of whiners.
00:05:51.600 That's what we hear.
00:05:52.520 I did a speech on Saturday night at the Queensland Community Center, which you can watch.
00:05:58.880 And I said, there's a lot of reasons to leave, and one of them is money, but I'm tired of hearing no, and that's my main reason for wanting to leave, right?
00:06:11.540 I'm tired of hearing no.
00:06:14.320 We're a province of doers out here.
00:06:17.120 We don't like to hear the word no.
00:06:18.820 We want to say yes, and that's what we get from independence.
00:06:21.340 But right now, Mark Carney is off, was off actually yesterday, to talk to a group of First Nations.
00:06:27.780 Now, this group is not an actual First Nations group.
00:06:31.020 It slipped my mind right now.
00:06:32.420 I'll put it across the bottom.
00:06:33.640 I can't remember the group.
00:06:35.420 But they're not a First Nations group.
00:06:37.480 They don't represent First Nations.
00:06:39.280 They're a group that has been funded by environmental groups in the United States of America.
00:06:47.340 They've got nothing to do with First Nations groups.
00:06:49.800 And by him being on the West Coast, it's an insult to our intelligence to think he's going to get anything done with these people.
00:06:56.800 And even though he stood out in front of the crowd and did his normal jibber-jabber, and spewed a whole bunch of words that meant nothing, the group came right back that represents nothing on the West Coast and had this to say.
00:07:13.080 We also made our positions very clear and reiterated those positions around our stance regarding the oil pipeline and that that has not changed.
00:07:27.980 Coastal First Nations, along with Laxquilams and the High Salination, oppose any project that proposed to bring oil tankers to the North Coast.
00:07:37.740 They said no, and of course they said no.
00:07:40.780 It's all we hear anymore out in Alberta.
00:07:42.940 We can't get anything done here.
00:07:45.280 And I don't know why you continue to put your faith in somebody like Mark Carney to get anything done.
00:07:51.780 This is what they want.
00:07:53.280 They don't want pipelines.
00:07:54.900 I've been saying this for a year.
00:07:56.580 And it's the reason why we want to leave.
00:08:00.800 And I'm called nasty words.
00:08:03.700 I'm not a traitor.
00:08:04.840 I'm not a mouth breather.
00:08:06.500 I'm an intelligent human being.
00:08:08.520 I'm a realist.
00:08:09.580 I'm a pragmatist.
00:08:10.480 I see better things for myself and my family if we leave.
00:08:14.380 I'm just wondering why you want to remain part of Canada and why you continue to put your faith in the Liberal Party of Canada.
00:08:21.160 Who is the winner here?
00:08:22.360 Me.
00:08:22.900 Who is the loser?
00:08:24.260 Hate to say it.
00:08:26.220 Look in the mirror.
00:08:29.180 And I think more is going to be done to try to stop us.
00:08:31.680 And we will not be denied.
00:08:32.860 We will have a fair vote on this.
00:08:35.360 And if we win it by 1%, we're going to leave.
00:08:39.460 We're going to leave.
00:08:41.140 You can't stop us.
00:08:42.580 Despite the slander, despite the cancellations, and despite personal attacks which are likely coming in the future.
00:08:48.280 It has been remarkable to see what's been going on.
00:08:50.740 I almost feel like I'm missing out on something by not being in my home, my country, Alberta.
00:08:57.440 I feel like I've abandoned my home being here in Panama.
00:09:04.220 But I appreciate you being here.
00:09:07.500 And I'm going to do some more videos.
00:09:08.920 I've got another one in mind.
00:09:10.120 I spoke to this person just prior to the event on Saturday night in Calgary.
00:09:15.900 And I want to get this person on my channel to talk about things.
00:09:19.300 I think you'll enjoy that one as well.
00:09:20.580 But I have an interview coming up with Dr. Dennis Modry.
00:09:24.000 I talked to Dennis yesterday.
00:09:25.840 Dennis, great voice for the independence movement.
00:09:28.740 I'll be talking to him tomorrow, hopefully getting a video up for, I think it was Thursday tomorrow.
00:09:33.840 Yeah, so Friday morning I'll have that up.
00:09:36.680 And there could be some big things coming down the road.
00:09:40.180 Of course, that event on January 26th.
00:09:41.860 Make sure you RSVP.
00:09:43.040 I want to see you there.
00:09:43.940 We will be signing people up.
00:09:46.460 Signatures at that event.
00:09:47.920 That is going to be epic.
00:09:49.700 Epic, epic, epic.
00:09:51.040 You have to be at that one.
00:09:52.260 I can hardly wait.
00:09:53.860 It's going to be one of the biggest political events in Alberta history.
00:09:56.900 One of the biggest in Canadian history.
00:10:00.800 One of the most consequential events in Canadian political history.
00:10:04.420 Thanks so much.
00:10:05.320 I hope you enjoyed it.
00:10:06.400 It's been interesting putting this one together.
00:10:08.680 I'm hoping to sit here over the next 10 days or so and do more videos.
00:10:12.920 If you liked it, give it a thumbs up.
00:10:14.400 Subscribe to the channel.
00:10:15.320 Ring the bell for notifications from Panama.
00:10:17.600 I'll see you in the next one.
