00:01:39.740 movement and do you have any concerns? My concerns I don't really I know that there's a lot of people

00:01:48.280 working in the backgrounds right now and stuff is happening all over the place like I've been

00:01:52.060 touch with so many people and i know that there's a lot of stuff going on uh i'm super glad that

00:01:58.060 let's talk alberta has been up and running well this transition period from the the signing

00:02:03.020 signing session over to the campaign session has been a kind of a dead zone but let's talk

00:02:08.780 is trying to fill that in so that works out really well for them right i know i know there's a couple

00:02:13.420 other like friday tomorrow there's supposed to be a big announcement from from some people we know

00:02:17.580 very well in the movement i don't want to spill any beans on that but apparently there's something

00:02:21.180 coming down the pipes there and it's everybody's just doing it right it's what i think is is the

00:02:29.260 best way to put it so they don't want to get trapped right so they want to make sure that

00:02:55.360 butts uh everybody that i have talked to seems to be more gung-ho more motivated into getting it

00:03:16.280 the weather was crappy everybody had a big smile on their face but i'm feeling the same way i'm

00:03:20.280 feeling the needle moving a little bit right now. I think, you know, there was the discussion on

00:03:25.240 Unacceptable Fringe. We had everybody aboard. I wish you guys could have been there because I

00:03:29.040 know you've got some wonderful ideas. But, you know, I was thinking about it as well.

00:03:33.660 The other side are going after the same people we're going after. We talk so much about the

00:03:39.120 people on the fence. It doesn't mean they're going to come our way. So we have to make sure

00:03:43.260 that we're really focusing on that as well, because they're trying to get the fence sitters

00:03:48.000 as well. I mentioned last night, we need to actually go out to the events they're at and

00:03:52.140 set up across the street so I can talk to those people. You know, I think that would be really

00:03:56.300 important. And I have to say, honestly, Al's had at least half a dozen interactions in the last

00:04:04.780 couple of weeks that have been with fence sitters, naysayers, and very, they come up all huff and

00:04:12.580 gruff and ready and i just smile and step aside and let let i'll take care of it he handles himself

00:04:22.580 so well they all of these situations ended with a handshake not saying that we changed their vote

00:04:30.660 but they all left saying we can agree to disagree and i'll look into that so he them with a little

00:04:38.980 bit of a nugget and they're going to look into it and that's what we have to do is is start

00:04:44.180 listening to them and their beefs and and and and slowly approaching and addressing it with them in

00:05:23.340 engaged right now. And I think we need to understand that a lot of those people,

00:05:28.400 they might not get engaged until September. We have to think about that. They're not really

00:05:33.620 going to pay attention so we need to we need to be thinking about that and thinking down the road

00:09:17.340 highway from me is mckenzie lake i live in mckenzie town and the people over there you see the signs

00:09:22.100 that have hands off my cpp now the these signs are sitting in front of houses where nobody would

00:09:28.020 ever need the the cpp dollars it could get but they want to stop us from getting a better pension

00:09:35.160 plan, but they put a sign out there. I think these people have ironclad pensions, $3 million homes

00:09:40.720 overlooking the park. They don't, what would that do for them, the CPP, but they want to stop other

00:09:45.440 people from getting a better pension plan for themselves. They find that fascinating. And yeah,

00:09:50.480 affluent people, they're not for this. And, you know, you know, we, we kind of have to focus on

00:09:55.480 those fence sitters. It's going to, it's going to be people who are hard nose. We're never going to

00:09:59.360 change their minds. Why waste our time? Right. Well, you, you, I was just going to bring this

00:10:03.740 up earlier when when the missus was talking about when we have conversations and to use

00:10:08.280 cory morgan's analogy of the red yellow and green light people i've had those people that she

00:10:15.140 mentioned i've had a number of conversations where they were dead red when i first started

00:10:19.020 talking to them and i love turning red into yellow and yellow into green right and i have

00:10:23.260 turned a number of reds into yellow and i've turned a number of yellows into green i've never

00:10:29.060 seen it go the other way but if you even get to a red and you treat them with respect and you

00:10:33.220 listen to their grievances and you have a civil conversation with them you can very often turn 0.82

00:10:38.740 them into a yellow and who knows what the next conversation will be like after that right

00:10:41.820 well i you know you mentioned the the debate the other night i was in the room and um the the

00:10:50.600 things that really struck me was was the it's the campaign of fear and that's what this is going to

00:10:54.900 be uh you need to be fearful it's the fear of the unknown i understand that we need to get around

00:11:04.420 going on about how we have to continue to work with canada to get a better place for alberta

00:11:10.260 and we need to keep negotiating with them well how long does that have to go on there's the old

00:12:37.140 were talking about the CPP. We could go on forever and we'll talk about your event here in just a

00:12:41.120 second. But something dawned on me the other day. When somebody asks you about the Canada Pension

00:12:46.340 Plan, what do you tell them? What's the basic thing we've all been saying for months regarding

00:12:51.920 the CPP? If somebody says, well, I'm concerned about my CPP, whether I'll be able to keep it.

00:12:59.940 I say, why would you let somebody invest your money in India when you didn't give them the

00:13:05.580 authorization to do that if you if you're worried about your cpp you should be worried about your

00:13:09.360 cpp right now because it's being invested as a as an asset of the canadian funds and it's not

00:13:15.080 it cannot even be there when it's time for you to collect yeah the the i think that's a great take

00:13:22.280 mine would be why do you even want to have the cpp right i think maybe we should be looking at it in

00:13:27.980 a different way you know if you've looked into the cpp which i have it's nothing and the thing

00:13:34.420 The thing that really bugs me about this is the people who are fighting against us, your, well, your Jason Kenneys and your Thomas Lukasics and your Mark Carney's and Daniel Smith's are going to have ironclad pensions worth millions for doing virtually nothing.

00:18:58.480 mirror that one weekend there were there was a giant pole with a flag that fell off on the highway

00:19:10.520 so people are getting better at keeping the flags on the vehicles so we're learning a lot here

00:19:36.800 people around and halfway through the tour down Main Street on Airdrie that flag actually folded
