John Bolton - We Are About To Be Elbows Upped - The Liberals Could Take Alberta

00:00:00.000 I believe Danielle Smith, Pierre Polyev, and Jason Kenney, who call themselves conservatives,

00:00:05.540 are about to hand Alberta over to the Liberal Party.

00:00:08.520 And there are certain politicians in this province that need to step up now.

00:00:16.000 Hi, it's John, and welcome to the channel, 405 AM, Wednesday, July the 22nd.

00:00:21.400 I hope you're having a great start to your Wednesday.

00:00:23.940 Thank you so much for being here.

00:00:25.860 And I'm not going to beat around the bush, folks.

00:00:27.640 I am speaking directly now to United Conservative Party MLAs in Alberta.

00:00:35.580 You know who you are. You're the ones who want Alberta independence.

00:00:38.320 We've heard 60% of you want Alberta independence.

00:00:41.760 Well, it's time to step up now.

00:00:44.340 You're on Danielle Smith's leash right now, boys and girls.

00:00:47.920 She thinks she has control of you as she kisses Mark Carney's behind.

00:00:51.960 And she turns her back on your constituents, the people who voted for you, 0.98

00:00:56.040 who want Alberta independence, who want a better place for Alberta. But it's time to step up for

00:01:01.320 the independence movement, because this is your only chance. Because I feel, and this, I truly

00:01:07.080 feel this, something happened over the last day, and I watched this video this morning, something

00:01:11.400 happened over the last couple of days that has me convinced, if we don't win this vote,

00:01:17.200 Alberta will fall to the Liberal Party of Canada. And Danielle Smith, Jason Kenney,

00:01:22.340 and other conservative politicians are going to hand Alberta to the Liberals. They're sleepwalking

00:01:28.320 into destruction. And if you're part of this and you're an independence person and you don't step

00:01:33.540 up right now, shame on you. What was it that I saw that had me convinced that we're going to get

00:01:39.920 elbows upped, folks? And the Liberals are going to play Alberta just like they played Canada

00:01:46.880 in the election last year against Donald Trump. I saw this.

00:01:51.380 In the wake of the whole elbows up movement, I've never known Canada to be as united as it was then.

00:01:57.980 And one of the things that breaks my heart and frustrates me deeply is to see people trying to

00:02:03.320 pick apart that web of unity that we had woven for ourselves. What we need to do is get elbows up

00:02:11.380 and get, you know, giver, as we say in this country. Now, do I think that elbows up will

00:02:18.860 be used in the independence fight for the next three months? No, I think something else is coming,

00:02:24.800 but I think a similar playbook is coming. And I think that the aforementioned politicians,

00:02:29.740 Smith, Polyev, and Kenny are playing into the Liberals' hands and about to hand Alberta over

00:02:34.420 to the Liberal Party of Canada because the Liberals are smart. You may not like them,

00:02:39.740 but they're smart. They outplayed Pierre Polyef. He lost a 20% lead last year because he got

00:02:44.720 outmaneuvered. They're not just seeing this as an opportunity to keep Alberta and Canada because

00:02:49.900 we're their piggy bank. They're not doing this for unity. They're not fighting against the

00:02:55.740 independence movement for the people. They're not doing this because they love Canada. They're

00:03:01.460 doing this because we're the nation's piggy bank and they can't let us go. So the same type of

00:03:07.100 strategy is going to be used, I think, right around Labor Day. It won't be elbows up. But think of it

00:03:13.860 this way. The liberals are going to be the knight in shining armor, riding in on a white horse,

00:03:19.340 and it's going to be something like, saddle up for Canada. And the same type of people,

00:03:26.620 the people who have a $4 million house overlooking Fish Creek Park, just a few blocks away from where

00:03:32.120 I live, that people who have paid off their mortgage and have a big pension will go saddle

00:03:37.080 up for Canada and they'll vote against the independence movement and look at the Liberals

00:03:41.360 as the saviors of Canada. And not too long from now, there'll be another election and they'll

00:03:46.260 vote Liberal and Alberta will fall to the Liberal Party of Canada. We've heard that polls say that

00:03:55.000 40% of Albertans right now would vote Liberal. I think Jason Kenney mentioned it at the debate

00:04:00.880 with Keith Wilson. The only political winner will be the Liberal Party of Canada. Right now,

00:04:06.320 the Liberals are polling at or above 40% in this province. The Liberal Party of Canada looks at

00:04:10.880 Alberta like Democrats look at Texas. The Democrats have been saying, if we can win, Texas will be in

00:04:16.400 power forever. And that's the case. That's why Polyev is scared out of his wits in sending

00:04:21.500 somebody here to try to stop the independence movement. If we leave, the Liberals will be in

00:04:26.400 power in Canada forever. Polyev will be done. Is he trying to save Canada? Does he want unity? 0.99

00:04:32.720 No, he's trying to save his skin. But Polyev left Alberta 20 years ago. 0.89

00:04:38.520 The Ottawa mind virus got to him years ago. I don't think he's thinking correctly here.

00:04:43.300 He's playing into Carney's hands, just like Kenny and just like Smith and others. And Thomas

00:04:47.720 Lukasik, Mr. Forever Canadian, he's not a conservative. He supported a liberal in the

00:04:52.820 election last year. I mean, folks, there's a lot at stake here. If you're a UCP MLA, it's time to

00:05:00.700 stand up now. Oh, but if we stand up now, Nenshi will win in the election next year. So what?

00:05:05.760 This is your only chance. What do you want? The status quo? That's what people like Simons and

00:05:12.760 Kenny want. They've made that clear. But our previous posture, whether we were being led by,

00:05:19.820 you know, Ernest Manning or Peter Lougheed or Ralph Klein or Alison Redford or Rachel Notley

00:05:28.620 was to say, let's fight for our place at the table. I mean, I remember when Preston Manning's

00:05:34.640 slogan was the West wants in. So the challenge that we've always faced, I think we've succeeded

00:05:39.720 at as Albertans, is to put our shoulder behind the wheel to fight for fairness, to fight for

00:05:46.160 reform to fight for a better deal. It's hard to believe that Jason Kenney is so naive.

00:05:54.840 We have to fight for a better deal. I mean, sort of like you fought for a better deal when it came

00:06:01.620 to the referendum on equalization. 62% of Albertans voted that they wanted to end it.

00:06:08.700 And you fought for a better deal by going to the federal government and the provincial governments,

00:06:13.360 and they told you to take a hike.

00:06:15.640 And Paula Simons, I know you're getting up there in age,

00:06:18.460 but I don't think your brain is totally gone yet.

00:06:20.840 Preston Manning said the West wants in four decades ago.

00:06:25.580 Forty years ago.

00:06:27.040 We're still waiting, Senator Simons.

00:06:30.420 To the United Conservative Party MLAs

00:06:32.600 who want Alberta independence, it's time to step up now.

00:06:35.120 The same tactics that the Liberals used

00:06:38.120 to win the election last year,

00:06:39.680 I believe are coming to Alberta very soon.

00:06:42.700 saddle up for Canada, folks. And the very people who say the independence movement

00:06:48.000 is causing people to vote liberal are doing it themselves. They are pushing people towards the

00:06:53.720 Liberal Party of Canada and are sleepwalking into disaster. So step up now. We've got your back.

00:07:00.780 So what? Danielle tugs on your leash. You sit in the back benches of the Alberta legislature for a 1.00

00:07:06.220 while. Let me tell you this. We've got your back. We don't have Danielle Smith's back. She thinks

00:07:12.340 we're going to hold our nose in the election next year because, Nancy, she's got another thing

00:07:17.040 coming. We think we're going to win in October, and we're going to win another referendum to get

00:07:23.060 Alberta out of Canada. Stand up. We need to hear your voices. Now, something else is coming, folks.

00:07:28.760 Character assassination, insults are coming. We're going to be called intolerant. We're going to be

00:07:34.360 called stupid. We're going to be called worse. You know the kind of things that are coming. 1.00

00:07:38.620 we need to be prepared for this. And I've been telling people sitting in meetings over the last

00:07:43.780 couple of months, we don't have to go dirty, but we've got a lot of politicians fighting against us

00:07:48.800 and they all have baggage and we need to use it against them. Kenny does, Lukasik does,

00:07:55.420 Carney does, so does Danielle Smith. We need to be prepared to fight back. If we don't push back,

00:08:03.580 we will get pushed around. Thank you for watching. If you like this video, give it a thumbs up,

00:08:09.700 subscribe to the channel, ring the bell for notifications. I'll see you in the next one.
