00:00:00.000 Hi, it's John and welcome to the channel 445 AM. I hope you're having a great start to your
00:00:07.860 Tuesday, November the 18th. I tip my big blue mug of coffee to you today. By the way, I'm getting
00:00:14.520 closer to 42,000 subscribers here. I'm pushing to 50 now, so I need your help. If you could
00:00:19.600 click on subscribe, it really helps out the channel. Thank you so much. So yesterday the
00:00:25.820 budget passed and I did a video yesterday. I'll put a card at the end. You can watch it saying
00:00:31.060 this is good news all around. It's good news for Alberta because all of this spending and this
00:00:36.980 spiraling of Canada going down the drain is good for the independence movement out here. And for
00:00:41.060 you in Canada, there will be some short-term pain but long-term gain because you could see the end
00:00:47.020 of the Liberal Party because they've been irresponsible with your money. So good news.
00:00:51.120 That's the way I say it. And we don't have to go to an election before Christmas. I guess that's
00:00:56.400 good news as well. The other thing I was thinking yesterday was how far has the country fallen when
00:01:03.140 a 78 or 79 billion dollar deficit seems normal? And people voted for this yesterday. Are we ever
00:01:10.720 going to see a balanced budget again in this country? And I say that's doubtful. It wasn't very long ago
00:01:15.980 where Trudeau said modest deficits of 10 billion dollars a year for the next four years and people
00:01:22.100 lost their minds. We're now closer to 80 billion dollars. And here's the thing. Wasn't it just the
00:01:27.100 last budget where it was projected to be around 40 billion dollars and it came in at what 62? Something
00:01:34.040 like that. Give or take a few billion dollars here or there. What's to say the budget that we've got
00:01:40.380 now which is close to 80 billion dollars won't come in at 100? The government always spends more.
00:01:44.560 So we're getting closer to 100 billion dollars as far as I'm concerned. And what are we getting
00:01:48.580 for all that money? Now the other thing I thought about yesterday was something Mark Carney said in
00:01:54.740 the House of Commons. All right. And I started thinking about getting value for our money.
00:02:06.160 And let me explain this to you in this way. When it comes to levels of government, be it municipal,
00:02:12.160 provincial, or federal. When one of those levels of government say they're going to spend money on
00:02:18.780 something, do you expect to see results? Well, of course you do. If you're a municipal government,
00:02:25.000 your mayor and council vote to spend, say, five million dollars to build a new arena,
00:02:30.480 you expect to see an arena, don't you? What did Mark Carney say in the House of Commons yesterday?
00:02:37.500 And then I'm going to show you the goods and the numbers. And I'm going to ask you the question,
00:02:42.160 what are we getting for all this money? This is what he said yesterday.
00:02:46.000 And I can confirm to this House that we will respect our Paris commitments for climate change,
00:02:51.840 and we're determined to achieve them.
00:02:53.620 Carney recommitted to the Paris Climate Agreement yesterday. That was an answer to a question from
00:02:58.580 Elizabeth May. Staged question, staged answer, just so he could get a vote on his budget yesterday.
00:03:06.800 Well, what does this mean? This means that he just recommitted to not having nice things in this
00:03:12.580 country. If you live in the rest of the country, say Ontario, this kind of thing is the reason why
00:03:18.040 the Ring of Fire won't be developed the way it should be. And it's the reason why Alberta and my
00:03:24.040 Premier continues to beg Mark Carney and the Liberals and people in the East for a pipeline.
00:03:29.260 It has to stop. But this really accomplishes nothing. What does the Paris Agreement mean?
00:03:36.420 Well, here it is here. This goes back to around the time the Liberals got elected under Justin Trudeau,
00:03:42.200 back to 2015. Canada and 194 other countries reached the Paris Agreement, an ambitious and balanced
00:03:48.140 agreement to fight climate change. This new agreement will strengthen the effort to limit the
00:03:51.840 global average temperature rise to well below 2% and pursue efforts to limit the increase to 1.5%.
00:03:57.380 The government of Canada can't balance a budget, yet they think Canada can help keep the temperature
00:04:05.460 of the planet down. This is lunacy. This is crazy. And we spend so much money on this.
00:04:12.580 And going back to my example from earlier, when the government spends money on something,
00:04:17.540 don't you expect to see results? Have we done this? No! Everything's getting worse, folks.
00:04:23.880 That's what you're told all the time. If we don't do more, things just keep getting worse. Yet,
00:04:28.380 there are trillions of dollars around the world that are put into this now. This is the biggest
00:04:33.340 business in the world, folks. When they opened up this climate change bottle, you can't get the
00:04:39.000 genie back in, folks. How much money do we spend on this? Now, here's a list from the government of
00:04:45.420 Canada. And this wouldn't even be everything we spend on this hoax. I looked for contracts over
00:04:52.080 $10,000 and I searched for climate change. And I did it for the last 10 years. Here they are over
00:04:57.160 here, going back to around the time that Canada signed this Paris Agreement. And look, there's
00:05:02.540 25,564 records of $10,000 or more, and none of them are $10,000. If you just look on the right-hand
00:05:10.000 side over here, you can see the total values going by. It's insane. What does mooring equipment
00:05:16.140 have to do with climate change and changing the temperature of the planet? I'd really like
00:05:20.220 to know. $71,000 was spent on that. And this goes on and on and on and on.
00:05:24.960 Look at it. 2,557 pages of this. And what are we getting for all this money? How are we doing?
00:05:38.160 I expect to see some results. I'm not saying we need to spend more money on this if we're
00:05:42.220 not getting results. God forbid. We need to say enough is enough. But the government of
00:05:47.760 Canada has now committed again to withhold the Paris Climate Agreement. Canada's commitments
00:05:55.140 and actions on climate change. This is the officer of the Auditor General. We have participated in more
00:06:00.140 than 30 years of international collective action on climate change. Nothing's getting better. I expect
00:06:04.920 to see some results. This takes us back to 2015. We committed to Paris and upped our commitment to
00:06:10.720 even more emissions reduction targets. And how are we doing? Canada's greenhouse gas emissions have
00:06:15.720 increased in the past 30 years. What are we getting for all of this money? How much has the
00:06:23.700 temperature of the planet gone down, Mr. Carney? Can you answer that question? How are we doing?
00:06:28.380 Well, we're not doing enough. Let's put more money in. Good money after bad, folks. I was thinking of
00:06:33.720 this quote this morning. As you know, I like quotes. I was thinking of this quote. To compel a man to
00:06:38.220 furnish funds for the propagation of ideas he disbelieves and abhors is sinful and tyrannical.
00:06:43.940 Thomas Jefferson. I disbelieve this and I abhor this. And I don't want my money spent on it anymore.
00:06:50.920 What does this accomplish? It scares kids.
00:06:56.900 I just don't know if they're going to do anything. And I just, I'm so concerned with the fact that
00:07:02.800 if they're not going to change anything, then what's going to happen to
00:07:06.680 humankind? What's going to happen to our, what's going to happen to the whole world?
00:07:11.440 That poor little girl. I'm not picking on her. It's not her fault. Her parents should be sitting
00:07:20.720 down with her and saying, you're going to be fine. But she's scared to death because money that you
00:07:26.180 spend on this climate change thing scares little kids. And more of it is going to scare little kids.
00:07:34.560 Did you hear what Mark Carney said yesterday to Elizabeth May? It just kind of floated by in his
00:07:39.600 answer. Let me play more of what he said yesterday in the House of Commons.
00:07:45.500 Mr. Speaker, I'd like to thank the Honorable Member for advocacy of the Youth Climate Corps,
00:07:50.780 which is in this budget.
00:07:52.620 This is from the same answer Mark Carney gave to Elizabeth May yesterday in the House of Commons.
00:07:57.600 And I didn't catch it the first couple of times. I heard it. I caught it this morning when I was
00:08:02.940 doing this video. A youth climate corps is in the budget. Little liberal climate soldiers,
00:08:09.700 your money is going to this. No doubt to go into schools and scare little kids like that one I just
00:08:14.980 showed you about an imaginary problem. This is wrong. This is not what I expect from my tax dollars.
00:08:21.040 And it's accomplishing nothing for the environment. It's an imaginary problem.
00:08:29.380 Give me four years to teach the children and the seed I have sown will never be uprooted.
00:08:34.820 Lenin. The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed and hence clamorous to be led
00:08:42.340 to safety by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary writer H.L. Mencken.
00:08:49.840 What are we getting for our money?
00:08:55.620 It's unbelievable. And we committed to the Paris Climate Agreement even more yesterday.
00:09:00.980 It's the reason we don't have nice things. Thank you very much for watching. I do appreciate it.
