00:01:09.580 government in my life. When government gets involved, things get more expensive and screwed
00:01:13.880 up. And that's certainly the case of what's happening here in Canada. Liberals don't know
00:01:18.560 when to stop. Even when everything is telling them they should stop, they keep going. And that is

00:01:41.420 let's start off with this story right here. And it's about EVs. Now, there is some good news here,
00:01:47.300 but the liberals are screwing it up because they don't know when to stop and they can't leave us alone.
00:01:50.900 Canada's electric vehicle industry is running on subsidies. So expect to hear more about this
00:01:56.060 today. A couple of paragraphs. So far, the only reliable way to get Canadian drivers to buy
00:02:02.200 unpopular electric vehicles has been to have all taxpayers subsidize them to the tune of over $6.3
00:02:08.820 billion to date in federal and provincial grants. If a report by CBC on Wednesday is accurate,
00:02:15.100 the liberals are about to add to that total by reviving the federal EV subsidy program
00:02:20.480 which in its previous iteration paid car buyers up to $5,000 towards the cost of an EV.
00:02:27.320 Why do the liberals continue to want to push EVs on people if they don't want them? Let the market
00:02:33.080 decide. People buy things that you'll determine what people want. They do that with their feet

00:03:01.780 new fuel efficiency standards on all the other cars out there while subsidizing EVs. That means more
00:03:08.420 regulations on car manufacturers. And what happens when you put a regulation on something, it generally
00:03:13.840 costs you more. Why won't they leave us alone? And why won't they leave the car industry alone in
00:03:19.260 Canada, which is suffering right now with tens of thousands of lost jobs? Doug Ford is on the war
00:03:24.200 path against Carney right now when it comes to the automotive industry in Ontario. But what did
00:03:30.340 Ronald Reagan say? The government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases.
00:03:35.260 If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it. You can
00:03:41.540 never go wrong with a Reagan quote. Hell, Pierre Pauly have to use this one just on the weekend.
00:03:46.980 As President Reagan says, if a liberal sees something that moves, he taxes it. If it keeps moving,
00:03:54.860 he regulates it. And when it stops moving, he subsidizes it. Let's move on to the next example
00:04:00.980 of how the government won't leave us alone. Even though they should, they just won't stop.

00:04:09.700 federal gun buyback program. Nobody really wants this. Most people are saying they won't comply

00:04:20.920 Quebec pledges support. Quebec's in on this. Let them collect the guns. But 25 guns was considered
00:04:26.960 a success by the liberals. It's not. So they got their little pea brains together to try to come up
00:04:33.200 and concoct a better way of getting the guns back. Reagan had another quote. The more the plans fail,
00:04:38.640 the more the planners plan. But then there's this article right here. Police provinces say no to
00:04:44.220 Ottawa. They will not collect guns for federal buyback program. We're yelling stop. They just
00:04:50.140 continue going ahead with the stupidity. They won't leave us alone. Firearm owners have until October 30th
00:04:56.500 to get rid of the banned guns. But getting rid of them might not be that easy. Public Safety Canada has yet
00:05:01.840 to come up with a plan to collect them. A federal government survey of firearm owners found that
00:05:06.820 67% said gun owners would likely not comply with the new law. Adding to the challenge, the Ontario
00:05:13.160 Provincial Police and the Toronto Police Service, as well as the provinces of Alberta, Saskatchewan and
00:05:18.300 Manitoba have said they will not collect guns for the federal government. The Ontario government is
00:05:23.200 leaving it up to individual police forces. Here's Premier Danielle Smith talking about this.
00:05:28.860 We told the municipalities, no, you can't have a handgun ban. We told the RCMP, no, you cannot
00:05:34.340 participate in the confiscation scheme. We've told our sheriffs that. We have told municipal forces,
00:05:38.680 if you want to participate in the confiscation scheme, you have to come and get a permit from
00:05:42.660 the justice minister. And I have it on good authority. He will not say yes. Gun confiscation,
00:05:46.840 huge issue here in Alberta. Big reason why a lot of people are part of the independence movement.
00:05:50.720 And thank goodness that Alberta is not part of this. But you have to understand. And I said this to
00:05:55.820 some people a few weeks back on Monday night when we had the big independence rally here in Calgary,
00:06:00.120 I said, you know, you're going to be on some list somewhere. If you've got a gun and you live in
00:06:03.580 Alberta, you'll go on a vacation one spring. You'll be coming back into the country. They'll flag you
00:06:08.240 down and say, you've got a gun. And they'll put you in handcuffs and haul you off to jail because you
00:06:11.820 haven't handed in your gun. That's the kind of thing that can happen. So that kind of scares me.
00:06:16.060 But the liberals won't stop with this. They won't leave us alone. And there's another thing that

00:07:58.360 would you vote for this guy again? Because a lot of people put trust in him. Here he is last night
00:08:04.220 on the 20th anniversary of his first conservative government. And it's a great speech. You might want

00:08:14.460 what he says. Keep in mind what you just heard me say. Great minds think alike.
