00:00:30.00058,000 right now. That's my cat Smudge there. Here she is right here. There she is. She wants
00:00:38.260to sit up here. There you go, Smudge. Okay. So I'm within 50, I'm within a hundred of 58,0000.86
00:00:46.500when it comes to subscribers. So if you could please click on subscribe, I would appreciate it.
00:00:52.820Give me a subscription. Subscribe for the cat. Okay. Sorry about that. She likes to sit up here.
00:00:59.280She looks like she's about to jump down. Okay. So this is a video about a possible... That was0.94
00:01:04.080her jumping. This is a video about a possible trade deal coming. Isn't this something? We heard
00:01:10.380about this a couple of days ago. And I think I know the reason why we're about to get a trade
00:01:16.680deal. The mainstream media is trying to hang this on the fact that the midterm elections are coming
00:01:21.840up and Donald Trump, if he gets a trade deal, might help him in the elections. I think that's
00:01:25.440possible. But I think Mark Carney's starting to sweat. I think he's starting to worry. I'm going
00:01:31.560to play something for you you may not have seen just a couple of days ago, and how bad things
00:01:37.360are getting in Canada. I've spoken here on a number of occasions about the fact that we now
00:01:41.600have to subsidize people to pay for food, which is a disgrace. But what is going on right now?
00:01:48.200Let's look at this with a different perspective. Mark Carney has kept his poll numbers high for
00:01:53.70018 months or more because of Donald Trump. We know this. This is his secret power. Bring up Trump.
00:02:01.560Say your favorite catchphrase over and over again. The world is more divided and dangerous. It is a
00:02:08.260more dangerous and divided world, unfortunately. That montage goes on and on. I don't have to
00:02:13.380play the whole thing for you. The less Mark Carney we have on this channel, the better. I know
00:02:17.800that's the way you feel. But you know how it works, right? You say it once, you repeat it over
00:02:24.520and over again, it riles people up, it scares them, number one, and it jacks up the Trump
00:02:29.720derangement syndrome. The Trump effect in full effect, I guess you could say. I don't think
00:02:34.440it's working the way it once was. And I think there's really bad news coming up on the horizon,
00:02:39.040thus the trade deal, which we're going to get to in just a moment. So what has happened over
00:02:44.260the last little while that proves the Trump effect isn't working as much? Well, there's this
00:02:48.120article here. This takes us back a little bit, but Trump is my main opponent. Quebec Premier
00:02:53.620Frechette presents herself as a safe bet amid turmoil. How did that work out in Quebec? There
00:02:59.340is no longer a Premier Frechette. The Trump effect didn't work. There's this from the other day. This
00:03:03.780must have been a nightmare when the poll started to drop for David Eby, who ran on Donald Trump.
00:03:10.940You'll remember. We'll get to that in just a moment. Don't pull an EB is now a thing. I put
00:03:16.320this out the other day on ex-Pier Polyev breathing a sigh of relief this morning. He's been knocked
00:03:22.280from the top spot of the biggest loser in Canadian political history. But EB was counting on the Trump
00:03:29.320effect. So let's just read a little bit of this article. Not very much, maybe a paragraph here.
00:03:34.980EB tried to make the election about Donald Trump, and the first week of his campaign largely fell
00:03:40.060flat for that reason. E.B. then very bizarrely targeted the rich and local philanthropist Jim
00:03:45.220Pattison in Save on Foods. That attack on a local business hero following the anti-Trump rhetoric
00:03:51.180was largely panned by the media and also failed to resonate with voters. Of course, a couple of
00:03:57.340own goals here, one of them including $10 a day daycare spots for him and his family. But this
00:04:03.560isn't working much anymore. So the trade deal is looming. The other thing I think is coming is
00:04:08.780something that's very disturbing and I'm worried about here. You know, you could probably list a
00:04:14.880bunch of things you don't like about Mark Carney. I mean, start writing them down. You could probably
00:04:18.620come up with 20 things. But the thing that really bothers me the most about Mark Carney is this.
00:04:25.140Mark Carney and the Liberal Party of Canada have been sacrificing Canadian jobs and Canadian
00:04:31.000citizens, their livelihoods, their ability to afford food to benefit the party and to benefit
00:04:37.680Carney. I mean, this was just from what earlier this month, Canadian economy lost 68,000 jobs in
00:04:44.100September, marking second straight month of surprise declines. You might remember back in
00:04:48.420the summer, I think it was, job numbers were up in Canada, largely, I think, because of summer
00:04:53.560hires. But the mainstream media was all over that. They didn't say a lot about this. You need to
00:04:59.180realize that the American economy is doing much better than the Canadian economy, as Donald Trump
00:05:06.140through tariffs and things like this is drawing businesses back into the United States of America.
00:05:10.400I don't like the tariffs. I don't think they're as effective as Trump might think, but the United
00:05:15.000States economy is doing better. And then we had a story like this that popped up the other day,
00:05:20.560and I think this is another reason why Carney wants to get a trade deal now, because the bad
00:05:25.700news is continuing to come into Canada. If you haven't seen this, this is amazing, stunning,
00:05:32.320disgraceful. Trips to the grocery store still come with some sticker shock. High food prices
00:05:39.080are changing how people shop and what they're willing to spend money on. This man says it's
00:05:44.220sometimes cheaper to skip the grocery store altogether. It's pretty sad when it's cheaper
00:05:48.520to go buy a slice of pizza or a burger from McDonald's than it is to walk into a grocery
00:05:52.700store and buy what you need to make it. It's one take on how shoppers are adjusting their buying
00:05:57.420habits and is something a new study from Dalhousie University's Agri-Food Analytics Lab examined
00:06:03.500and shows Canadian shoppers are growing tired of chasing grocery deals. People feeling tired of
00:06:10.680trying to pursue ways to save as much money as possible. The study found food remains one of
00:06:19.700Canadians' biggest cost concerns with 76 percent of those surveys saying groceries are among the
00:06:25.540expense, putting the most pressure on their budgets. Many are relying on credit cards and
00:06:30.600building up debt just to put food on the table. We're seeing the working poor, a portion of the
00:06:37.200middle class, people who actually are working and they can't make ends meet because of the cost of
00:06:45.360living. While many customers look for a Canadian product first, some shoppers we spoke to said if
00:06:51.040there's an equivalent or similar product on the shelf that's cheaper, they'll go with that instead
00:06:55.820as to save money. I find that so sad. And you know, it's interesting when I was voting in the
00:07:00.500referendum, I was standing in line and a couple of El Bozo's were standing beside me. I knew
00:07:05.240who they were. I could feel them in my presence. And the one guy said, you know, when I go to the
00:07:12.060grocery store, I always buy Canadian. And so he tipped himself off as an El Bozo. And I looked
00:07:16.900at him and I said, what are you, nuts? With the price of groceries today, you buy what's cheapest.
00:07:22.460Don't be stupid. I think more and more people are going to do that. It said in that story,1.00
00:07:26.340people are still buying Canadian. I think when you can't feed yourself, things start to change.
00:07:31.060You know what else is sad about that story? I may have told this story before. When I started in
00:07:35.800radio, first full-time job, 1987, I was making $11,000 a year. Now that's really low for any
00:07:44.340wage at any job. That's not a lot of money. That's less than $1,000 a month. I do not remember
00:07:50.640thinking I can't afford food. I wished I had more money, but I owned a car. I could afford gas
00:07:56.800and I could afford food. This is how bad things are in this country now.
00:08:01.880This is how bad things are in this country right now. And I don't think Mark Carney
00:08:07.680can play the Donald Trump effect like he used to. I think he's getting worried because more stuff
00:08:13.840like this is going to happen. And he's got to make a deal now in order to stop the bleeding,
00:08:19.720thus the trade deal. Speaking with reporters in Washington today, the president said a trade deal
00:08:25.360is close. We're very close to a deal with Mexico. It'll be a very good deal for hopefully them,
00:08:31.820but it's going to be a good deal for us so we won't make it. The same thing with Canada. Canada
00:08:36.480is working very hard to make a deal with us. And I hate to say this, but we have all the cards.
00:08:42.180His comments come as sources tell CTV News Canadian officials haven't ruled out the possibility of a deal before next month's midterm elections in the U.S.
00:08:51.300It's up to the United States. They're a little hard to predict. We continue to be ready to sit down in good faith.
00:08:59.500Don't buy what the mainstream media tells you about this possible trade deal coming.
00:09:04.980They're going to say that Donald Trump is caving to Canada. I don't think that's the case at all.
00:09:09.200I think that Mark Carney is starting to see his secret power, his superpower slip away,
00:09:14.140which is Donald Trump. You know, we've been talking a little bit on the channel about a
00:09:18.100possible election coming up. I don't know. It's all up in the air right now. There was this article
00:09:22.980that ran about a month ago, why Carney might gamble on a December election. We do have the
00:09:28.080EU summit coming up with Canada this week. It'll be interesting to see if that has an effect on
00:09:32.880any trade talks with the United States. Donald Trump isn't really in favor of this. But, you
00:09:38.100know, as far as I'm concerned, I would love to see Mark Carney go to an election, either before
00:09:43.640Christmas, which I don't think people really want, just as Santa Claus is about to rise. But I'd love
00:09:48.560to see him go to an election, maybe after the new year. I think it would be a great idea because I
00:09:53.560would love to see Mark Carney pull an EB. Thanks for watching. If you like this video, give it a
00:10:00.680thumbs up, subscribe to the channel, ring the bell for notifications. I will see you in the next one.
00:10:04.560And do subscribe. I'm getting very close to 58,000 subscribers.
