Once again in Canada, the minister responsible for curbing organized crime and mass illegal border crossing proves that he doesn't actually understand crime. Bill Blair was the Chief of Police in Toronto, Canada's largest city, but it has become increasingly apparent he doesn t know anything about the realities of law-breaking, specifically the difference between legal gun ownership and illegal gun ownership.

00:00:00.040 Once again in Canada the minister responsible for curbing organized crime
00:00:04.800 and mass illegal border crossing proves that he doesn't actually understand crime.
00:00:10.000 Bill Blair you'd think would know better having been the chief of police in
00:00:13.980 Toronto, Canada's largest city, but has become increasingly apparent he doesn't
00:00:17.920 know anything about the realities of law-breaking, specifically the difference
00:00:21.840 between legal gun ownership and illegal gun ownership and more importantly the
00:00:26.840 fact that it's the guns owned illegally that tend to cause the most problems.
00:00:31.340 Lethbridge, Alberta Conservative Member of Parliament Rachel Harder had an event
00:00:35.780 called Guns in Guinness where she encouraged people to come out shoot some
00:00:40.280 guns at a range in a controlled supervised legal environment and then go and have a
00:00:44.480 pint of Guinness at a barbecue later on. Bill Blair called this quote deeply
00:00:49.760 disappointing unquote because of the tragic homicides with firearms that exist
00:00:55.280 around Canada. So he draws a line between a bunch of people shooting guns at a
00:01:01.100 range and gangsters gunning each other down in the streets of Toronto. This is
00:01:06.560 Bill Blair proving that he's a 22 caliber mind in a 45 caliber world. He's a
00:01:11.720 lightweight and quite frankly Canadians should be very, especially gun owning 1.00
00:01:16.280 Canadians, should be very disturbed that the minister responsible for organized
00:01:20.600 crime thinks that a bunch of legal gun owners at a range is just as much
00:01:25.100 of an equal force as the guns owned by gangsters and those actually in organized
00:01:31.340 crime environments and settings. This is actually quite unfortunate but it
00:01:35.600 proves what people like me, a gun owning Canadian, have been saying for a long
00:01:39.500 time about Justin Trudeau which is that he does not view gun crime as the
00:01:43.820 problem. He views guns as the problem and his entire cabinet views guns as the
00:01:48.440 problem despite a wealth of evidence suggesting that a gun owning Canadian is
00:01:53.740 actually one of the safest people in the world and one of the safest people in
00:01:58.340 the country and actually a Canadian with a firearms license is less likely to
00:02:03.040 cause harm to anyone else than an average Canadian without one. And that's 0.99
00:02:07.600 actually something that people need to realize, certainly Bill Blair does. For the
00:02:11.740 True North Initiative, I'm Andrew Lawton.
