00:00:54.720While relations between the two countries don't seem to be getting much better,
00:00:58.900Prime Minister Carney used a breakdown in his teleprompter to take a shot at President Trump.
00:01:04.440I would like to inform you that the teleprompter has ceased to function.
00:01:13.800Unlike a certain world leader, I do not view this as a conspiracy.
00:01:17.060well president trump meantime credits tariffs for a resurgence in u.s manufacturing
00:01:25.020he says dealing with canada is nasty business we've been screwed by tariffs used against us
00:01:31.660for years by china by japan by south korea by germany by everybody by canada canada's nasty0.98
00:01:39.840they are they're nasty people think canada they're nasty people i love the people but they're nasty0.98
00:01:45.820nasty leadership. A former Canadian intelligence officer says U.S. diplomats are undermining0.98
00:01:52.920national unity in Canada. Former CSIS officer Michael Juneau-Katsua told CBC that while China
00:02:00.440and Russia are still threats, the behavior of some Americans is alarming. We've already
00:02:06.940identified several foreign states that are trying to mingle with our Canadian internal politics.
00:02:15.820They have different objectives. For some of them, like Russia and China, it's a question of creating disturbance within the border.
00:02:25.360It's a question of trying to divide the society and to distract Canada and Canadian federal government from supporting, for example, Ukraine against Russia or to pay attention to the imperialist intentions of China in the subregion of Southeast Asia.0.51
00:02:47.500But the more alarming element is probably coming from the U.S.
00:02:52.560The U.S., we've seen politicians, we've seen lawmakers, we've seen also even political diplomats right here in Canada acting already in support of a division, creating some stirs, and that is coming from the U.S., quite disturbing for us.
00:03:14.380Well, Juna News has reached out to U.S. Ambassador Pete Hoekstra regarding that comment and welcomes a response.
00:03:20.720A conservative leader, Pierre Polyev, says Islamic terror networks in Canada are the real threat.
00:03:27.540We don't want them to bring their terror to this country.0.93
00:03:30.600We want to deport the IRGC, get the terrorists out of our country.0.98
00:07:09.960Let me be clear. And today he was taking a shot at Trump over the teleprompter issue. You'll remember a while back, I think it was a speech to the World Economic Forum. Trump had his teleprompter break down. And then today Carney's broke down and he said, but unlike a certain world leader, you know, I don't think it's a conspiracy.
00:07:35.660Mind you, Trump also lost use of this escalator while he was on it.
00:07:39.920But I'm sure these are just wild coincidences.
00:07:42.940Right. I actually just reviewed that event because I couldn't quite remember what happened.
00:07:48.040It is actually very suspicious that the elevator or the escalator got turned off like halfway and then him and Melania had to walk.0.97
00:07:58.580There's actually a pretty high chance that Trump was right.
00:08:02.800like all these bad things were only happening to him is that a conspiracy who knows well yeah
00:08:09.280i would suggest that there's a lot of people who think you know this only happened to trump right
00:08:15.080the teleprompter only broke down during trump's speech and the escalator only broke down during
00:08:20.340when trump was actually on it so let's just say it looks pretty suspicious but i hear arnie uh
00:08:26.840you know his teleprompter broke down and so i guess he saw fit to take a shot at trump
00:08:31.660but the one thing about uh trump is that you know when the teleprompter breaks down he just keeps on
00:08:37.500talking i mean you know he doesn't collapse his speech doesn't stop dead because the teleprompter
00:08:43.880is not working i mean that guy knows uh how to go off the cuff he does it all the time even when
00:08:49.700the teleprompter is working the guy the guy could do that's right well and that that moment was a
00:08:55.840perfect example, actually, of Carney's strategy. Instead of answering questions or instead of
00:09:02.660speaking about something articulately, let's just point the fingers at Donald Trump. That was his
00:09:07.940whole entire campaign strategy. Look at Orange Man Bat and don't pay attention to anything that
00:09:13.420we've done. Well, you're out in Kenora. I mean, is that still flying a year and a half after
00:09:20.760Carney took over? I mean, are people still willing to give him the benefit of the doubt?
00:09:28.000It's such a mixed bag here in my small town. We have a lot of First Nation communities around us
00:09:35.280who tend to support the NDP. We are a conservative leaning riding. So we usually have a conservative
00:09:43.500government in charge. There's lots of blue collar workers. There's lots of rednecks.1.00
00:09:48.940and there are a lot of social services so i find that the people that work for the government they1.00
00:09:56.700they tend to lean left but lucky for us we do tend to always vote in a conservative government which
00:10:03.340is rare you know i i think it's great that you're uh you're in a fairly remote area i mean you're
00:10:12.200an island right and out in kenora you're not in toronto or vancouver and yet here you are uh quite
00:10:21.960um pronounced in your ability to reach a lot of people thanks to the internet thanks to having a
00:10:27.160great podcast so what is that like i mean you know without the internet none of this would have
00:10:32.760happened you know a lot of the uh influencers that we've seen online over the years people like
00:10:37.160yourself uh coming into the fore and having yourself heard you know all of this has come
00:10:42.920about in recent years just really as a result of the ability of the internet to reach everybody you
00:10:49.720know so that must be kind of a neat thing for you to be able to live on a small island
00:10:55.240uh you know in western ontario near kenora and to be able to reach as many people as you do
00:11:02.360a hundred percent um to be able to talk about geopolitics you know there's there's so many
00:11:08.440opportunities that have come from this work um not just in the online space like i physically
00:11:13.880travel to a lot of different events across canada i recently emceed an event out in el salvador
00:11:20.360where we were talking about reclaiming health and wealth sovereignty so lots of opportunities
00:11:25.400have sprung from this never thought i'd be doing this work and it all kind of came around the
00:11:30.920covet era when my business was forced to be shut down for almost two years and you know i i thought
00:11:38.760owning your own business was your ticket to freedom my husband and i are both entrepreneurs
00:11:42.600we also have a construction company and uh that reality was shattered for me when i saw how
00:11:49.240vulnerable uh we were to the government and and these decisions and that's what started the show
00:11:54.360that's what started me just asking better questions. I used to be a left-leaning individual
00:12:01.500until I started looking at outcomes and data and asking better questions. So yeah, it's been a ride,
00:12:09.260but I've met some fantastic people in the space because of it. And how do you see things now that
00:12:15.560Carney's been in there for a while? I mean, he came in making a whole lot of promises. A lot of
00:12:20.680People were, you know, expecting great things from this guy, considering the jobs that he has had and, of course, the hype around him.
00:12:29.400And I can't help but think that there's a lot of people who are being let down by this.
00:12:33.700And yet now he's managed to pull together a majority government through the use of, you know, floor crossings rather than winning it the old-fashioned way, the way most politicians or prime ministers get their majorities through the electorate.
00:12:49.900What's your take on what we're seeing so far from this government?
00:12:53.720In the beginning, I was trying to reserve a sliver of positivity for Carney, thinking, well, you know, he is a businessman.
00:13:03.340Maybe he will come in and do the right thing.
