00:00:00.000 You will never ever have to worry about what is real and what is fake if it comes from the CBC,

00:00:09.380 Let's take a look at this bizarre Instagram video they posted urging blind trust from their viewers.
00:00:15.020 Never ever have to wonder what is real or what is fake if it comes from CBC News.
00:00:21.000 Hi, I'm Brody Fenlon, General Manager and Editor-in-Chief of CBC News.
00:00:25.000 At CBC, our journalism is fact-checked. It's verified. We don't put anything out into the world unless we know it to be true, or if we haven't verified it, then we'll tell you that.
00:00:35.860 Our journalism is produced by humans who have to meet a really high bar in terms of standards. We're accountable for our journalism.
00:00:43.700 And in the rare cases where we get something wrong, we'll own it. We'll tell you what we got wrong and how we fixed it.
00:00:49.600 And you will never, ever have to wonder what is real or what is fake if it comes from CBC News.
00:00:56.200 That's the invitation. Choose news, not noise.
00:00:59.860 Well, many Canadians laughed out loud and disagreed with this clip as they provided examples of when they felt the CBC misled them through their reporting.
00:01:07.800 Let's take a look at a few.
00:01:09.000 The first example is when the CBC reported that they uncovered confirmation of 215 children buried at the site of the former Kamloops Indian Residential School.
00:01:18.680 but to date no bodies have been found at the site and full excavations haven't taken place despite
00:01:25.240 millions of dollars in funding for the first nation to do so and this one always gets me
00:01:30.080 another critic pointed to one of CBC's now deleted videos of what appeared to be a man in an ICU bed
00:01:36.160 hooked up to a ventilator supposedly due to the COVID-19 crisis but look closely the CBC had to
00:01:42.480 apologize for using fake patients and airing the image outside of the context of training facilities
00:01:48.560 These are just two examples of many. If you'd like to read more, you can visit
