00:00:02.880 All is fine!
00:00:04.280 You're not born!
00:00:05.680 You're not born!
00:00:07.560 Indian-born Canadian citizen Hardeep Najjar was fatally shot in his pickup truck in June of 2023.
00:00:14.680 Canada now says it has concrete evidence linking Indian agents to Najjar's death,
00:00:19.860 along with a multitude of other crimes.
00:00:22.460 We will never tolerate the involvement of a foreign government
00:00:25.200 threatening and killing Canadian citizens on Canadian soil.
00:00:30.000 I think there is a larger underlying issue about the space which is given to separatists,
00:00:37.440 to extremists, to people who advocate violence.
00:00:46.620 Well, the relationship between India and Canada has officially hit rock bottom.
00:00:52.140 Not that it's something at this point worth maintaining for Canada in the first place.
00:00:56.640 According to the RCMP, Indian diplomats in Canada are alleged to be involved in clandestine activity,
00:01:04.040 including criminal activity linked to homicides, extortion, and of course, a healthy dose of political interference.
00:01:12.480 Yesterday, Canada took the extraordinary step to expel the Indian High Commissioner,
00:01:17.180 as well as six other diplomats.
00:01:19.260 In return, India did the same yesterday.
00:01:22.580 So, at this point, diplomatic relations between India and Canada are essentially gone.
00:01:27.800 While the coverage on this issue, as well as the RCMP statement released yesterday,
00:01:32.460 notes attacks on the South Asian community in Canada,
00:01:35.780 both the RCMP statement, as well as the Deputy Commissioner of the RCMP,
00:01:40.200 in a press conference yesterday, stressed that these attacks coming from the Indian government
00:01:45.300 are specifically targeting the pro-Calistan movement.
00:01:49.120 And it's not as though the Calistan movement is a benevolent force in Canada.
00:01:53.560 Calistani terrorists were behind Canada's largest terrorist attack in 1985, the Air India bombing.
00:02:00.440 Calistanis also put on grotesque displays in cities like Brampton,
00:02:05.320 depicting the assassination of foreign heads of state.
00:02:08.380 They also like to burn effigies of Indian diplomats in Canada.
00:02:12.460 But regardless of all of that,
00:02:14.540 and regardless of how you feel about the Calistan movement in this country,
00:02:18.760 there's one thing all Canadians should be able to get behind.
00:02:22.040 And that is, a Canadian citizen should not be targeted by foreign government agents in our country.
00:02:29.100 We cannot have foreign agents operating as murder gangs,
00:02:32.880 going after specific people because of their personal political beliefs.
00:02:37.180 This whole story is absurd.
00:02:39.440 But if it is true, and at this point I have no reason to doubt the RCMP,
00:02:43.340 then the Indian High Commission has no business operating in Canada.
00:02:46.720 They simply cannot be trusted, and Indian diplomats shouldn't be in Canada.
00:02:50.120 If India cannot behave like a serious country,
00:02:53.340 then Canada should not see India as an ally.
00:02:56.580 Now before we get into this show,
00:02:57.680 be sure to drop a like on the video,
00:02:58.940 help us out by subscribing to the True North YouTube channel,
00:03:01.060 and the comment question for the episode is this.
00:03:03.600 Is the announcement by Justin Trudeau a political decision or a national safety decision?
00:03:11.080 Let me know your answer in the comments below, and let's get into it.
00:03:14.020 We now know that after an RCMP investigation into the murder of Calistan activist Hardeep Singh Najjar
00:03:19.620 last year in Surrey, British Columbia,
00:03:21.880 India's High Commissioner, as well as five other diplomats,
00:03:25.260 are persons of interest in the RCMP investigation into that murder.
00:03:29.180 Truly an extraordinary situation building up between Canada and India.
00:03:33.880 Here is Justin Trudeau at a press conference yesterday.
00:03:36.720 We will never tolerate the involvement of a foreign government
00:03:39.440 threatening and killing Canadian citizens on Canadian soil.
00:03:44.740 A deeply unacceptable violation of Canada's sovereignty and of international law.
00:03:51.460 According to the RCMP investigation,
00:03:53.960 Indian diplomats and consular officials leverage their positions
00:03:57.820 to gather information about certain Canadian citizens
00:04:01.100 and pass them on to organized crime groups.
00:04:05.340 The RCMP held their own press conference yesterday
00:04:08.500 to warn the Canadian public about their findings in this investigation.
00:04:13.040 Here is RCMP Commissioner Michael Duhem.
00:04:16.240 An extraordinary situation is compelling us to speak about
00:04:20.140 what we have discovered in our multiple ongoing investigations
00:04:23.200 into the involvement of agents of the government of India
00:04:26.560 in serious criminal activity in Canada.
00:04:31.520 It is not our normal process to publicly disclose information
00:04:35.120 about ongoing investigation in an effort to preserve their integrity.
00:04:39.020 However, we feel it is necessary to do so at this time
00:04:42.360 due to the significant threat to public safety in our country.
00:04:46.340 Over the past few years and more recently,
00:04:49.600 law enforcement agencies in Canada, including the RCMP,
00:04:52.440 have successfully investigated and charged a significant number of individuals
00:04:57.400 for their direct involvement in homicides, extortions,
00:05:02.440 and other criminal acts of violence.
00:05:04.780 In addition, there has been well over a dozen credible and imminent threats to life
00:05:10.900 which have led to the conduct of duty to warn by law enforcement
00:05:13.680 The killing of Hardeep Singh Najjar last year outside of his Gurdwara in Surrey, British Columbia
00:05:24.420 was not the beginning of this ongoing saga between India and Canada.
00:05:29.500 Poor diplomatic relations between the two countries has been a long-standing issue,
00:05:33.280 but there are a few events that stand out in this ongoing saga.
00:05:37.720 You could go back to 1985 and certain events between the Canadian government
00:05:41.160 and the Indian government under Pierre Trudeau,
00:05:43.260 but in the interest of time, let's start in 2018
00:05:46.320 with Justin Trudeau's famous trip to India
00:05:49.620 where he decided to dress up like a 19th century Indian Maharaja.
00:05:54.060 He looked more Indian than Prime Minister Modi did in many instances.
00:05:58.440 But on that trip, Justin Trudeau decided to, in a very Justin Trudeau way,
00:06:04.440 invite a man named Jaspal Atwal to the Canadian state dinner.
00:06:10.200 Now, the problem with this invitation is that Jaspal Atwal
00:06:12.820 is a convicted attempted murderer of an Indian politician back in 1986.
00:06:18.640 So naturally, that decision didn't go over so well.
00:06:21.220 When Punjabi Sikhs in 2021 were protesting a domestic agricultural law
00:06:27.040 presented by Narendra Modi in India, which spilled out into Canadian streets,
00:06:32.480 Justin Trudeau decided to get involved in that ongoing protest
00:06:35.540 and to remind India that Canada believes in the right to peaceful protest
00:06:41.100 and that Punjabi Sikhs had the right to peaceful protest in India.
00:06:45.680 Again, something that didn't go over so well with the Indian government.
00:06:49.600 And then shortly after that, the organization Sikhs for Justice
00:06:52.840 began organizing large-scale Kalistan Referendum.
00:06:57.040 Of course, these referendums are not legitimate,
00:06:59.980 they are not recognized by India,
00:07:01.720 and they just, frankly, serve as provocations to the Indian government.
00:07:06.360 These referendums end up turning into a large rally
00:07:09.200 where certain individuals are put on posters and displayed as martyrs, as Shahids.
00:07:16.420 Some of these martyrs, for example, happen to be Talwinder Singh Parmar,
00:07:21.300 the man responsible for the Air India bombing.
00:07:23.180 But these large Kalistan Referendums and Kalistan Rallies in Canada
00:07:28.040 and Australia and the United Kingdom, of course, do not go over well with India.
00:07:33.740 But what really kicked this fight off was a display by Kalistanis in Brampton
00:07:38.380 on the anniversary of the Air India bombing,
00:07:41.120 in which the assassination of Ira Gandhi in 1984 was glorified
00:07:47.020 in a papier-mâché-style display on a float that paraded through Brampton.
00:07:54.540 Very strange display and not something that many Canadians, I think, would find very tasteful.
00:08:00.220 And, of course, India didn't either.
00:08:01.380 So India shot back at Canada and the first real exchange of words were had.
00:08:08.340 And then, of course, high-profile Kalistani activist Hardeep Singh Najjar,
00:08:14.100 who the Indian government labels as a terrorist
00:08:16.340 and involved with a group called the Kalistan Tiger Force,
00:08:20.380 was killed in his pickup truck outside of his gurdwara in Surrey, British Columbia.
00:08:24.940 Several months later, Justin Trudeau made the extraordinary decision
00:08:28.660 in the House of Commons to label the Indian government behind Najjar's killing.
00:08:34.840 Over the past number of weeks,
00:08:37.440 Canadian security agencies have been actively pursuing
00:08:40.520 credible allegations of a potential link
00:08:43.660 between agents of the government of India
00:08:46.660 and the killing of a Canadian citizen, Hardeep Singh Najjar.
00:08:51.400 I want to highlight now two individuals
00:08:54.620 who you would describe as extremists on both sides of this issue.
00:08:59.380 Of course, neither of them are born in Canada
00:09:01.160 and neither of them live in Canada,
00:09:02.980 but they like to talk about our country a lot.
00:09:05.920 That would be the leader of Seeks for Justice,
00:09:08.280 Gurpat Want Singh Panun,
00:09:10.780 and a media broadcaster,
00:09:14.060 Major Gaurav Aria.
00:09:16.140 These two gentlemen like to exchange attacks
00:09:18.680 to each other and to people living in Canada,
00:09:22.300 Canadian citizens.
00:09:23.080 Whether they be Sikh Canadians or Hindu Canadians.
00:09:27.180 Here is Major Gaurav Aria,
00:09:30.480 according to the Anti-Sikh Hate Crime Watch X count,
00:09:35.140 threatening Justin Trudeau
00:09:36.820 and Canada's High Commissioner to India,
00:09:39.820 saying that they will be destroyed.
00:09:41.840 He then goes on to say that India will finish Canada within a year.
00:10:04.140 Don't cry later and wonder how this happened
00:10:06.340 or say that you weren't warned.
00:10:07.740 And then you have this fellow on the other side,
00:10:10.360 Gurpat Want Singh Panun,
00:10:12.340 the leader of Seeks for Justice,
00:10:14.880 telling Hindus living in Canada
00:10:16.720 to leave Canada as soon as possible.
00:10:19.900 Your destination is India.
00:10:22.220 Leave Canada.
00:10:23.600 Go to India.
00:10:24.320 Kalishtan referendums all throughout Canada
00:10:26.860 are marketed with posters
00:10:28.660 calling it the Kill India Referendum.
00:10:32.380 Both of those people, keep in mind,
00:10:33.680 do not live in Canada.
00:10:34.900 They are not born in Canada.
00:10:36.160 They really have no business
00:10:37.360 talking about Canada the way that they do.
00:10:39.520 So I think both of them, at this point,
00:10:40.900 should keep our country's name out of their mouths.
00:10:43.260 No Canadian citizen should be threatened
00:10:47.380 on Canadian soil by foreign agents.
00:10:50.200 It's just that straightforward.
00:10:52.120 It's just that simple.
00:10:53.600 Canada should not tolerate foreign governments
00:10:55.460 that pretend to be our allies
00:10:56.780 going out and killing Canadian citizens in our streets.
00:10:59.940 Maybe the best solution for everyone here
00:11:02.100 is for Canada and India
00:11:03.920 to completely sever diplomatic relations
00:11:06.740 and for there to be no more immigration
00:11:09.280 between both countries.
00:11:10.580 Because if Canadians are being threatened
00:11:12.860 by Indian foreign agents in our country,
00:11:15.440 then I think it's safe to say
00:11:16.800 that we should take in nobody from India
00:11:19.240 in order to guarantee the safety of Canadians.
00:11:22.220 We should shut down our borders
00:11:23.660 to anyone coming from India
00:11:25.140 if this is the current state of relations.
00:11:27.820 But something tells me that isn't gonna happen.
00:11:29.880 One thing for certain,
00:11:31.180 now that Canada basically views India
00:11:33.500 as a rogue state
00:11:35.160 that commits crimes in our country
00:11:36.840 through its diplomats,
00:11:38.140 I'm pretty certain that
00:11:39.200 all of the international students
00:11:40.540 particularly from Punjab and India
00:11:42.520 that are now facing deportation
00:11:45.040 because they are not getting
00:11:46.420 a permanent residency in this country
00:11:48.500 and end up filing asylum claims,
00:11:51.140 they will almost all certainly be accepted.
00:11:53.180 It's very weird
00:11:54.240 that we have such a large foreign diaspora population
00:11:58.200 that is so militant and aggressive
00:12:00.540 towards the country of their original origin,
00:12:03.500 that holds large referendums
00:12:06.080 trying to form breakaway ethnostates
00:12:08.640 in a foreign country while in Canada.
00:12:11.540 They protest for a calistan in India
00:12:13.720 always from Canada.
00:12:15.760 It's not something that we in Canada
00:12:17.600 should have to accept or tolerate as well.
00:12:20.200 We really shouldn't be dealing with this situation.
00:12:22.580 And I think it obviously comes from a massive open border.
00:12:25.920 The calistan faction in Canada
00:12:27.660 has a large amount of political power in this country.
00:12:31.120 We can see that in our politics.
00:12:33.000 Clearly, I believe part of this is being used
00:12:36.580 for political pressure.
00:12:38.100 But at no point will I ever side
00:12:41.020 with a hostile foreign nation like India
00:12:43.780 over the interest of my own country.
00:12:46.960 And when it comes to protecting Canadian citizens,
00:12:49.600 this should be taken seriously from every country.
00:12:53.080 Does Justin Trudeau take the same approach
00:12:54.760 when it's China conducting foreign interference operations,
00:12:58.400 when China is operating police stations in our country?
00:13:01.140 The Chinese have an ambassador in Canada.
00:13:03.760 He's not been expelled,
00:13:04.740 but we know that China is operating
00:13:06.140 police stations in our country.
00:13:07.940 We know that Iran is operating
00:13:10.180 foreign intelligence assets in our country as well.
00:13:13.600 We know that other countries see Canada
00:13:15.800 as a playground for foreign agents
00:13:18.140 to operate foreign assets.
00:13:20.940 That is unacceptable.
00:13:22.240 That can no longer continue.
00:13:23.700 And India has shown time and time again
00:13:25.980 that they do not respect Canadian sovereignty.
00:13:28.600 They do not respect our rules.
00:13:29.840 So we should not respect them.
00:13:32.080 All right, everyone,
00:13:32.560 that's going to do it for us today on the show.
00:13:34.060 Thank you so much for tuning in.
00:13:35.140 My name is Harrison Faulkner,
