00:00:00.040 When Ontario Premier Doug Ford was elected he said very clearly to Ontarians
00:00:05.960 the party with the taxpayers money is over. Now he's taking that message to
00:00:10.160 Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. Today Doug Ford said to the Prime Minister that if
00:00:14.640 he wants to allow this illegal border-crossing asylum-seeking scam to
00:00:19.400 continue he's on the hook for the money. Ontario will not play ball. This is too
00:00:25.400 little too late as far as I'm concerned but it's a step in the right direction
00:00:27.960 and more importantly it starts instilling in Justin Trudeau the sense that maybe
00:00:32.580 just maybe political leaders need to be held accountable for their own action or
00:00:37.140 inaction on critical national security issues. Now look whether the federal
00:00:41.940 government or the provincial government pays for it taxpayers are still on the
00:00:45.080 hook but if enough provinces look to Justin Trudeau and say hang on we are
00:00:49.320 not picking up the slack where you are failing Justin Trudeau will have to find
00:00:53.280 another way to sell his cockamamie half-baked immigration plans or
00:00:57.920 lack thereof to the voters of Ontario. Good on Doug Ford for stepping up more
00:01:02.000 importantly good on Doug Ford for actually telling Justin Trudeau that he
00:01:06.320 can't just stick the provinces with the tab when he's done inflicting the damage
00:01:10.300 he's putting onto the country. For the True North Initiative I'm Andrew Lawton.
