00:00:00.000 The lie that we have a free and fair and democratic free press in Canada, because we don't, right?
00:00:07.160 That is the lie. The reality is that most of the media, 95% of the media, 95% of the journalists
00:00:15.120 in this country are subsidized by liberal party policy. I don't know, maybe I'm old-fashioned,
00:00:21.160 but I like America. I think America is a great country. It's awesome. I want Canada to have
00:00:24.980 deeper relationships in trade and trust and security ties. I don't trust China. I don't
00:00:30.440 want anything to do with China. The reason we're a G7 nation is 100% directly correlated with the fact
00:00:35.880 with our proximity to the largest economy in the world. So many of the policies that have spiraled
00:00:41.980 Canada into this death spiral that we are slipping into third world country status have been doubled
00:00:48.220 down under Carney's leadership. We haven't seen changes. It cost me $89 to buy ingredients for
00:00:54.120 a goddamn sandwich in this country. And then I walked out of the grocery store and someone 1.00
00:00:59.980 tried to stab me. They're like, this was like two days after Mark Carney's speech, but boy,
00:01:03.900 oh boy, was Mark Carney's speech great. Why haven't we beefed up our own military? Why aren't we spending
00:01:08.560 a heck of a lot more money on our own borders, on our own national security, on our own Arctic,
00:01:13.380 right? Why don't we have tighter immigration? Why don't we have tight borders? Why don't we have more 0.99
00:01:18.380 of a police presence to crack down on the insane third world country crime spree hitting Canada, 1.00
00:01:24.740 for goodness sakes?
00:01:25.420 Hi, I'm Candace Malcolm, and this is the Candace Malcolm Show. A very special episode today. I'm
00:01:33.440 joined by my co-founder, Kian Bexby, for a special fireside chat. This will be available only to paid
00:01:39.080 subscriber of Juno News. So if you want to watch the full episode, I encourage you to head on over
00:01:43.380 to JunoNews.com, become a premium paid subscriber, help us fund this movement, help us on our quest to
00:01:49.680 replace the CBC. We need good independent reporting and journalism in this country. So aside from the
00:01:56.020 video content, the podcast we put out, we have daily written news. We have reporters across the
00:02:01.100 country here at Juno News giving you the facts, giving you the truth, fact-based journalism. It's
00:02:05.680 really what the country needs. And I think that our mission here at Juno News is more important than
00:02:09.980 ever. So Kian, thank you so much for joining us this afternoon. My pleasure. It's great to be
00:02:15.860 at Juno News in a company that is growing, that is actively holding the government to account,
00:02:23.240 not parroting government talking points. It's becoming more and more clear. You know, we're
00:02:27.040 almost at a year of operation here at Juno. And while we've grown really quickly, our to-do list
00:02:33.020 has grown as well. You know, we're not just publishing articles and breaking news. We're
00:02:37.980 investigating provincial and federal governments. We are covering the Alberta independence movement.
00:02:44.180 We're creating and releasing in the future documentaries that go to the very heart of
00:02:50.560 national conversations, issues that the legacy media, the government bailout media are too afraid
00:02:56.360 to touch because they're worried their grant money will vaporize if they do. So it's a really exciting
00:03:01.540 time to be here at Juno News. And it's an exciting time to be leading this company that's growing so
00:03:06.640 quickly. 100%. Okay. So it's been an absolute whirlwind of a year so far. I can't believe it's only
00:03:11.860 January 28th. And the amount of news, the amount of things that are happening are unbelievable,
00:03:15.700 leading a lot of people to speculate that we might be heading into an election. So I want to just get
00:03:19.340 your thoughts on a couple of big news items and news events that have happened so far this year.
00:03:24.380 I think the biggest one that we saw happen last week at the WEF, but leading up to that,
00:03:27.960 we had Prime Minister Mark Carney go to China, where he gleefully posed a photo with Xi Jinping
00:03:33.520 and announced that Canada was going to be pursuing trade deals with China. This clip really went viral
00:03:41.320 and it sort of shocked, I think, a lot of us that, you know, there's a so-called conspiracy theory about
00:03:47.660 a new world order. Actually, when I was talking about this clip on my show, Kian, I got slapped
00:03:51.980 with a warning by YouTube saying that the new world order is a conspiracy theory when I was literally
00:03:57.520 just verbatim quoting the Prime Minister and playing his clip. So maybe that'll happen with this one,
00:04:01.860 too. But I want to play this clip and get your reaction to it.
