00:00:00.000 Mark Carney backed Bill C-69, Trudeau's No More Pipelines Law.
00:00:06.520 It's killing energy projects right here at home.
00:00:10.640 But guess what?
00:00:12.080 While Canadian workers get left behind,
00:00:15.220 Carney's company, Brookfield, is busy buying pipelines in the U.S., in Brazil, around the world.
00:00:24.180 Shut down Canadian energy.
00:00:26.700 Profit off everyone else's.
00:00:28.520 Mark Carney, blocking Canadian jobs and banking foreign billions.
00:00:42.600 Hi, I'm Candace Malcolm, and this is The Candace Malcolm Show.
00:00:45.780 Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.
00:00:47.400 We are back, and in week three now of the federal election,
00:00:51.040 things are getting really heated, really tense.
00:00:53.660 Actually, there was video that was surfacing online of a Pierre Polyev supporter and a Mark Carney supporter,
00:01:00.080 two women, middle-aged women, getting into a fistfight in a line to go into a campaign.
00:01:05.520 Unbelievable.
00:01:06.240 You can see the tensions in Canada at this point.
00:01:09.660 The country is just at a tipping point.
00:01:12.000 And you can see that liberals and conservatives are not getting along.
00:01:14.740 This is scary stuff, folks.
00:01:16.000 This is a very important, consequential election.
00:01:19.960 People just don't see eye-to-eye on which direction the country is going,
00:01:23.620 to the point where we're willing to get into fistfights over politics.
00:01:27.160 I haven't seen anything like this in a previous election.
00:01:30.160 Pretty alarming stuff.
00:01:31.900 We've got a lot of news to get to today,
00:01:33.720 and I want to start with this video that has resurfaced of Mark Carney.
00:01:37.640 This is back in his days where he was both advising governments
00:01:40.660 and also working for Brookfield, which is a larger investment fund.
00:01:44.880 And he basically admitted to the grift.
00:01:47.440 This is what so many liberal insiders do, right?
00:01:50.000 They work in liberal policies.
00:01:51.620 They advise the government.
00:01:53.060 And they push the government towards enacting certain policies.
00:01:56.580 And then they jump ship, and they go and they invest in the companies
00:02:00.120 that get the money from the federal government
00:02:02.340 or get the advantage that the legislation is pointing to.
00:02:05.560 And they make themselves rich.
00:02:06.860 It's so sickening to see people get into politics to make themselves rich.
00:02:11.660 And Mark Carney is admitting that he's an example of that.
00:02:15.500 So here he is.
00:02:16.460 I'm going to walk you through this clip.
00:02:17.860 He's at a fireside chat, and he's talking about how he used to provide
00:02:22.180 pro bono consulting work for politicians.
00:02:25.880 And in that pro bono work, he would tell them to bring in policies.
00:02:30.820 And then he goes on to say that those policies help the companies
00:02:34.400 that he's investing in, and it helped Brookfield mobilise billions of dollars.
00:02:40.120 Let's play this clip.
00:02:42.000 I do spend some time advising on what, you know, again, pro bono,
00:02:46.540 but advising on the types of policies that are going to have maximum impacts
00:02:50.080 for investors.
00:02:51.860 So I'll give you an example, which is one of the issues.
00:02:54.880 It's not the biggest issue.
00:02:56.040 It's like 2% of global emissions.
00:02:57.680 You wouldn't know it from the headlines, but 2% of global emissions is for air travel,
00:03:03.200 emissions from air travel.
00:03:05.560 Now, so the question is, are we going to have green sustainable aviation fuel?
00:03:09.500 What's happened in the UK, the EU, is they've said to major airlines,
00:03:14.280 look, if you're flying in and out of Heathrow or wherever,
00:03:17.500 you have to have 10% of your load has to be sustainable aviation fuel by,
00:03:21.980 I think it's 2030.
00:03:22.640 The consequence of that policy has been to convert some entrepreneurs in Texas,
00:03:31.400 in this case a company called Infineon, to become economic,
00:03:35.460 because all of a sudden American Airlines, British Airways need to buy that fuel.
00:03:39.760 They'll pay a green premium.
00:03:41.860 You've got an offtake, you know, that's high credit quality.
00:03:44.740 And so in that case, we put, we, Brookfield, put a billion dollars to work there.
00:03:52.060 And, you know, it's a fantastic opportunity.
00:03:55.700 A fantastic opportunity for someone like Mark Carney to invest in companies like the one
00:04:00.700 he was talking about in Texas, where he says to make them economical,
00:04:05.240 as in to make them make sense as a business,
00:04:07.640 they need that pressure on the governments in order to make airlines purchase that product.
00:04:13.420 This is a scam, folks.
00:04:15.360 This is not a free market economy.
00:04:17.740 This is an example of how the liberals take over an economy.
00:04:21.620 They force taxpayers, and in this case is they write regulation that forces companies
00:04:26.740 to basically subsidize their green empires while also making money.
00:04:32.040 This is so despicable.
00:04:33.080 You know, I think that I don't begrudge someone for making money.
00:04:36.120 I don't begrudge Mark Carney for being a wealthy banker or whatever.
00:04:39.600 But this idea that he's actually making his money by pushing governments for policy that
00:04:44.640 help him, I mean, it's scandalous.
00:04:46.540 He is admitting to doing something that should not be allowed in Canadian politics, in any
00:04:51.440 politics.
00:04:52.360 And the fact that he's kind of like bragging about it and saying, like, this is what we
00:04:55.600 do.
00:04:56.160 We force the economy to be greener while also making billions and billions of dollars.
00:05:00.600 This should outrage Canadians.
00:05:01.980 And for him to just nonchalantly say that that is a business plan, this is not good,
00:05:07.880 folks.
00:05:08.100 This is not good.
00:05:08.920 This is one of the things that I really worry about Mark Carney, that we know so little about
00:05:13.420 him.
00:05:13.800 We don't know, I mean, for instance, the whole thing with the blind trust.
00:05:17.100 We don't know where his money is invested.
00:05:19.200 We don't know how much money he has.
00:05:20.440 We don't know where his money, how he made his money, how much of it is through deals
00:05:24.300 with China, how much of it is still in Brookfield.
00:05:26.700 For all we know, he's becoming prime minister so that he can make more money for himself, so that
00:05:30.860 he can enact new policies and direct money towards Brookfield.
00:05:34.840 I did an entire documentary last week talking about how I think that this is a whole purpose
00:05:39.040 of his housing policy, that his housing policy is to create hundreds of thousands of rental
00:05:44.840 units potentially for Brookfield to own and manage.
00:05:48.980 Go check out that video because I walk you through the entire thing.
00:05:52.260 But this is everything that's wrong with the liberal grift, with liberals pushing the
00:05:57.020 green policies using big government to fund big corporations.
00:06:00.360 It's corporatism.
00:06:02.240 And Canadians should reject this.
00:06:03.700 Canadians should choose to go with the free market approach to things and get big governments
00:06:08.540 and big business away from each other and break them up.
00:06:12.540 And unfortunately, that is not the direction that Mark Carney is going.
00:06:16.460 And something else about the economy.
00:06:18.260 We just got the economic figures on Friday.
00:06:21.160 And wow, Canada's economy, the wheels are starting to fall off.
00:06:25.000 So here is the financial post is how they reported it.
00:06:27.480 Canada's unemployment rate rises to 6.7% as the economy loses 33,000 jobs, the largest decrease
00:06:34.020 in employment since January 2022.
00:06:36.980 We read from the story.
00:06:37.840 Nearly 1.5 million people in Canada were unemployed in March 2025, up 36,000 from the previous month
00:06:45.820 and up 167,000 from a year ago.
00:06:49.060 Employment fell in the wholesale and retail trade, information, culture and recreation, agriculture,
00:06:54.140 manufacturing and construction sectors.
00:06:56.900 Wow, that's pretty much most of the economy here.
00:06:59.600 We're feeling the contraction.
00:07:01.360 This is what a quote from this article says.
00:07:04.220 The wheels may be starting to fall off the Canadian labor market with a 33,000 person decline
00:07:10.140 in jobs during March, falling well short of consensus forecasts for a 10,000 gain.
00:07:16.240 It says Andrew Grantham, an economist with CIBC Capital Markets after the data was released.
00:07:22.220 So economists projected that we were going to gain 10,000 jobs.
00:07:26.500 Instead, we lost 33,000 jobs.
00:07:28.960 Folks, this is what the entire election should be fought on.
00:07:31.880 The entire election should be a referendum on the liberal economy.
00:07:35.620 What the liberal policies have done to our country, this is just one example.
00:07:40.640 And I know the legacy media will try to tell you that this entire thing is a result of Donald
00:07:45.440 Trump, President Trump, his tariffs and the retaliatory tariffs that the Canadian leaders
00:07:50.120 are taking.
00:07:51.280 But that's not even the case because the tariffs have just come in and we haven't really felt
00:07:55.660 the extreme extent of those tariffs and the resulting job losses.
00:08:01.420 These job losses, this jobs report is basically pre-tariffs and it is painting an absolutely
00:08:07.820 bleak, bleak picture.
00:08:09.840 Now, while Canada is suffering this terrible job loss, we see the United States is actually
00:08:15.180 having the opposite impact.
00:08:16.380 So look, the Trump, President Trump's tariffs are absolutely ridiculous and stupid and I'm
00:08:21.120 no fan of them whatsoever.
00:08:22.460 They have absolutely just caused a ruckus in the stock market and the American economy,
00:08:27.740 we're told, isn't doing very well.
00:08:29.560 And yet when their numbers came out, we learned the Bureau of Statistics reported an increase
00:08:34.520 of 228,000 new jobs, right?
00:08:39.320 So just compare and contrast, right?
00:08:41.520 We're told that Donald Trump is an absolute economically illiterate and he's an oaf and he's
00:08:48.360 going to drive the Americans into depression.
00:08:52.040 And meanwhile, Mark Carney is some kind of an economic rock star that's going to guide us
00:08:56.000 through, um, that's going to guide us through this tumultuous period.
00:09:00.700 And yet the numbers show the exact opposite, that the United States is gaining hundreds
00:09:04.940 of thousands of jobs while Canada is losing tens of thousands of jobs.
00:09:09.040 It is just absolutely unconscionable.
00:09:12.160 And I want to talk a little bit about Mark Carney because look, what he's saying is not helpful.
00:09:17.660 First of all, he's pretending, he's stomping his feet saying that we're going to win this
00:09:21.460 trade war.
00:09:22.640 Look, I think it's pretty obvious at this point that Canada is not in a position to even cause
00:09:29.260 a dent in the American economy, right?
00:09:30.760 The American economy is just so much bigger.
00:09:32.700 There's so much more going on over there.
00:09:34.340 We are so much more dependent on the Americans than vice versa. 0.86
00:09:37.300 Mark Carney going on as if that's not the case.
00:09:39.760 And while he was speaking at a campaign event in British Columbia, this is so classless,
00:09:44.940 so arrogant, but he starts taking aim at the conservative premiers, right?
00:09:50.000 Doug Ford and Daniel Smith, who potentially should be his allies, right?
00:09:53.780 His allies in trying to negotiate with President Trump, trying to understand President Trump,
00:09:59.020 trying to speak in a language that might resonate with President Trump.
00:10:02.140 You would think that the conservative premiers in Ontario and Alberta would be his allies.
00:10:06.580 Instead, he's out there at a campaign event, mocking them, making fun of them,
00:10:11.640 and just completely acting with no class.
00:10:14.880 Let's play that clip.
00:10:15.640 We're fighting the Americans in the pocketbook. 1.00
00:10:17.640 We have retaliatory tariffs on them.
00:10:20.080 We just hit them again in the auto sector.
00:10:23.140 We're fighting them on Fox News, which is what they understand.
00:10:28.440 We're sending Doug Ford onto Fox News to show them that we're not messing around up here.
00:10:36.580 And we're going to send Danielle next.
00:10:41.280 No, well, maybe we won't send Danielle.
00:10:43.420 No, maybe we won't.
00:10:44.520 We won't send Danielle.
00:10:47.500 We're going to keep her.
00:10:48.620 No, keep her.
00:10:49.880 No, that was a bad idea.
00:10:50.980 Forget it.
00:10:51.440 Strike that.
00:10:52.140 Strike that.
00:10:52.740 Just ignore that back there.
00:10:55.920 So, first of all, Mark Carney, don't quit your day job.
00:10:58.500 You're not a stand-up comedian, not very funny, even though the room loves it and is laughing
00:11:02.000 and jeering.
00:11:02.440 But really, you are the prime minister of Canada.
00:11:04.880 You're supposed to be acting like a statesman, especially at this point when you're basically
00:11:08.340 just a caretaker prime minister.
00:11:09.760 You haven't received a mandate from the country.
00:11:11.840 You're not even an elected member of parliament.
00:11:13.620 And there you are, mocking and making fun of the elected leaders of the two most powerful
00:11:19.640 provinces in the country.
00:11:21.280 Just absolutely despicable.
00:11:23.700 Making fun of Danielle Smith.
00:11:25.380 Not helpful there.
00:11:26.440 A very, very poor look for Mr. Carney and the liberals.
00:11:30.920 Now, the liberals have turned to their dirtiest trick in the books, their oldest trick in
00:11:35.220 the books.
00:11:35.720 Every time there's a federal election, they find a way to bribe the media, to offer the
00:11:40.260 media more money, to give more money to the journalists that are covering.
00:11:43.620 This is an unbelievable conflict of interest, folks.
00:11:46.180 There is no reason why the federal government needs to fund journalism.
00:11:50.380 And it should be absolutely illegal for them to announce these changes and this funding
00:11:54.580 in the middle of the campaign.
00:11:55.740 They are literally bribing the people whose job it is to hold them accountable during
00:12:00.400 the election for all to see.
00:12:01.880 So first, Mark Carney, over the weekend on Friday, he pledged $150 million, you guessed
00:12:06.780 it, to the CBC.
00:12:07.880 He said that they were underfunded.
00:12:09.880 Can you believe it?
00:12:10.780 The CBC gets $1.2 billion a year from taxpayers.
00:12:15.120 Part of the reason they get that much money is because back in 2015, the first time Justin
00:12:19.400 Trudeau was getting elected, he bribed the CBC with more money.
00:12:22.900 That's part of the reason why he won the election.
00:12:25.260 And he gave them huge amounts of money for the positive coverage that he got.
00:12:30.140 The CBC did their duty and covered for Justin Trudeau time and time again during his time
00:12:35.120 as prime ministership.
00:12:36.400 It is an absolute disgrace and a disservice to Canadians that this is happening.
00:12:41.080 Mark Carney playing from the same playbook.
00:12:42.880 Unbelievable.
00:12:43.900 Here he is speaking in Montreal, talking about his love of the CBC and why it deserves more
00:12:49.160 of our money.
00:12:49.780 If elected, my government will take action to enshrine and protect and strengthen CBC Radio
00:12:57.680 Canada for generations to come.
00:13:00.980 When it comes to this most important of Canadian institutions, all Canadians should have their
00:13:06.100 say, not just a small group.
00:13:08.420 We will not only increase CBC Radio Canada's funding by $150 million, but we will also make
00:13:16.320 this funding statutory, meaning that Parliament as a whole will need to approve any future
00:13:22.160 changes to its funding, not just the Cabinet.
00:13:25.740 Unbelievable.
00:13:26.620 So Mark Carney is trying to make it so that even if Pierre Pollyov wins in the future, he
00:13:31.720 won't be able to defund the CBC as promised.
00:13:34.780 Canadians need to speak up.
00:13:36.020 This is an absolute disgrace.
00:13:37.800 They should not get to do this.
00:13:39.460 The CBC is a hard left media organization.
00:13:42.540 They push an agenda.
00:13:43.880 It is bad for Canada.
00:13:45.000 It's bad for Canadians. 0.91
00:13:46.220 And the fact that the Liberals are openly bribing them during an election, again, I believe
00:13:50.520 it should be criminal.
00:13:51.680 That's not the only journalist that is getting bribed during this election.
00:13:55.620 So if you recall, the Trudeau government introduced something called the Online News Act.
00:13:59.320 The Online News Act forced the big advertisers online, mainly Google and Facebook, now called
00:14:05.360 Meta, to pay up.
00:14:06.960 They wanted to pay.
00:14:08.180 They wanted to force these companies to pay Canadian media every time someone shared their
00:14:13.140 link online.
00:14:14.100 And while Meta said no way and decided to pull news altogether in Canada, Google eventually
00:14:20.200 said yes.
00:14:20.820 So the Liberal government's strong-armed Google forced them to give up $100 million, which
00:14:26.720 went into a fund that the federal government is now distributing to media companies.
00:14:31.440 And lo and behold, in the middle of an election, the checks started coming in for the media
00:14:37.340 companies.
00:14:37.900 So our friends over at The Hub, run by Sean Sphere, he put this out.
00:14:42.700 He said in the middle of the election, The Hub received $22,000 thanks to Liberal legislation
00:14:48.460 while The Hub is doing the right thing in deciding to donate that money to charity.
00:14:53.060 They said that the rest of the news media should disclose what they're getting.
00:14:57.220 Absolutely unbelievable that the checks would get mailed out in the middle of the election.
00:15:01.260 Just so that all the publishers, all of the editors in newsrooms across the country know
00:15:06.360 where their bread is buttered, that they have to give good coverage to the Liberals in order
00:15:11.540 to continue getting these checks.
00:15:13.000 It is so disgraceful.
00:15:14.420 Folks, this is not a free country.
00:15:16.020 This is not how a free press in a democracy should operate.
00:15:19.720 There is no reason why the government should be involved in the business of news media.
00:15:24.300 Look at us here at Juno News.
00:15:25.340 We just launched two months ago.
00:15:27.120 We are already incredibly successful.

00:15:49.840 True North does not take any money from the government.
00:15:52.300 We haven't received checks like these in the mail.
00:15:54.460 And let me tell you, if we do, I will be donating them to charity as well, because I do not believe
00:15:58.780 that the government should be funding media.
00:16:01.620 It's such an obvious statement.
00:16:02.800 And I think 10 years ago, all Canadians would have agreed with that.
00:16:05.520 But here we are in this position where there's two political parties.
00:16:08.920 One is saying more money to the government.
00:16:10.520 One is saying, hey, guys, we're broke.
00:16:12.440 We don't have any money left.
00:16:13.660 We need to stop these frivolous programs.
00:16:15.700 And how can you have a free press that's unbiased and holding people accountable when they're
00:16:20.540 getting money from the government?
00:16:21.920 It is so wrong.
00:16:23.280 And that is why, again, both True North and Juno News do not get this money.
00:16:28.260 And if we did, we would donate it immediately to government.
00:16:31.720 This is just absolutely unacceptable.
00:16:34.100 And I want to talk a little bit about Pierre Polyev, because I feel like his message is finally
00:16:39.120 breaking through.
00:16:39.980 He's finally hitting the right note, coming across as a strong leader that we need.
00:16:45.180 His crowd sizes have been absolutely massive.
00:16:48.040 Just so exciting to see.
00:16:49.300 He held a huge rally last week in Kingston, Ontario.
00:16:51.820 The Pleb Reporter was there live streaming an estimated 3,500 people in attendance.
00:16:57.140 And he was over in Penticton over the weekend as well.
00:17:01.260 Another 3,000 people in attendance there.
00:17:04.500 And I want to play this clip that is just really heartwarming.
00:17:08.260 What a nice way to end the show today.
00:17:10.540 Pierre is speaking at a rally.
00:17:12.580 He spots a little girl in the audience.
00:17:15.280 Invites her to come up.
00:17:16.600 And this girl, her name is Avery.
00:17:18.680 She just did a fantastic job. 0.73
00:17:20.220 You know, most little kids would be afraid to speak to an adult, let alone in front of
00:17:24.300 an entire auditorium full of people.
00:17:26.820 But this little girl did a fantastic job. 1.00
00:17:28.960 And you can just see Pierre is a nice person.
00:17:31.520 He's a nice man.
00:17:32.180 And he has a great way of communicating, talking to children.
00:17:35.980 At the same time, just inspiring the country and getting us pumped up for the election.
00:17:40.420 Let's play that clip.
00:17:41.440 You like that?
00:17:43.840 Look at this little girl.
00:17:45.300 Who is this little girl? 0.97
00:17:46.840 What's your name?
00:17:48.920 What's your name?
00:17:50.940 Avery.
00:17:51.420 And what brought you here today, Avery?
00:17:54.800 To help the country.
00:17:59.460 She's even got a wonderful handshake.
00:18:14.220 This is, I think we have a future prime minister right here in Avery.
00:18:18.640 Fantastic clip there.
00:18:20.020 And again, really inspiring.
00:18:21.140 Pierre is great at this.
00:18:22.040 He should be doing more rallies, more interacting with Canadians.
00:18:24.860 You can see the juxtaposition of Mark Carney out there making himself rich, mocking the premiers
00:18:30.660 for doing what he should be doing, which is finding a way to communicate to Trump, speak
00:18:34.560 his language, get in front of him, which is what Doug Ford and Daniel Smith have done.
00:18:39.640 And just one final thing I'll mention in the show.
00:18:42.580 We've shown a lot of skepticism towards the polls.
00:18:45.080 I had our own in-house pollster David Murray on last week talking about why I think the polls
00:18:49.500 are wrong and signs that the conservatives are actually doing much, much better than the
00:18:53.680 polls are representing.
00:18:55.020 I will just mention that there was an abacus poll that came out over the weekend that had
00:18:59.300 the liberals and the conservatives tied.
00:19:01.380 So forget the polls that show a liberal lead, a 10-point lead.
00:19:05.180 That's not what we're seeing.
00:19:06.580 And some polls are finally starting to show that the race is incredibly tight.
00:19:09.960 I believe it's tight.
00:19:10.760 I think it's neck and neck.
00:19:12.020 I think Pierre Polyev and the conservatives have to do absolutely everything it takes in
00:19:16.520 order to win.
00:19:17.160 Like, there's no coasting.
00:19:18.240 Every day has to be on message, pushing the message to Canadians, getting out in front of
00:19:23.180 them.
00:19:23.300 These rallies are fantastic.
00:19:24.900 Everyone watching.
00:19:25.600 We need to do everything we can to make sure that we keep the momentum going for the conservatives.
00:19:30.780 We don't let the legacy media get away with lying and smearing about conservative candidates
00:19:35.640 and that we continue to be optimistic about our future.
00:19:39.160 And the fact that we can win this election, conservatives can win.
00:19:42.520 And I'm very hopeful about that.
00:19:44.280 All right, folks, that's all the time we have for today.
00:19:46.000 Thank you so much for tuning in.
00:19:46.980 We'll be back again tomorrow with all the news.
00:19:49.220 Thank you so much.
00:19:50.080 I'm Candace Malcolm.
00:19:50.680 This is the Candace Malcolm show.
00:19:52.120 God bless.
