In Ontario and other jurisdictions that have implemented a vaccine passport system, there are a number of businesses and facilities that have publicly announced that they are not going to be going along with it, they will not be enforcing the vaccine passport, and those businesses while they ve publicly outed themselves have been identified, they re being discussed on social media, but another interesting phenomenon is the number of larger businesses, probably a much larger one that are simply not doing it. They re not announcing it, not making a big deal out of it, but they re simply saying this thing isn t for us and we re not going through that.

00:00:00.000 in Ontario and other jurisdictions that have implemented a vaccine passport system there are
00:00:09.480 a number of different businesses and facilities that have publicly announced that they are not
00:00:13.860 going to be going along with it they will not be enforcing the vaccine passport and those businesses
00:00:19.260 while they've they've publicly outed themselves have been identified they're being discussed on
00:00:23.280 social media but another interesting phenomenon is the number of businesses probably a much larger
00:00:29.040 one that are simply not doing it they're not announcing it they're not making a big deal out
00:00:33.720 of it but they're just saying this thing isn't for us and we're not going to go through that I've heard
00:00:39.020 a lot of anecdotes from people about experiences all across Ontario I had one friend say yeah my
00:00:44.280 gym just never asked for it I've been three four times since it was introduced and just nobody brings
00:00:48.840 it up I had an interesting experience I want to tell you about the other day I was at a at a fast
00:00:54.140 food restaurant one of the largest fast food chains in the western world I'm not going to end the place
00:00:58.820 and it was in a community it was in a city just north of Toronto and I'm not going to name the
00:01:02.760 city because I know there's a lot of people who would like to make a big scene out of all these
00:01:06.480 minor little stories and I go into this place and I'm there with a friend and we go in and we go and
00:01:11.480 we sit down and then at some point while we're seated not immediately but after we've been there
00:01:16.180 for a little while one of the employees she comes up to us and she says hey did you guys get the
00:01:21.880 vaccine it's kind of a weird question that's not saying can I see your vaccine passport that was her
00:01:26.520 exact words and we just kind of go yeah it was an odd question and she goes oh okay okay have a nice
00:01:33.200 day she sort of steps away and and then she goes somewhere else I thought that's kind of interesting
00:01:38.300 it's kind of odd that wasn't enforcing the vaccine passport and then I overheard her at the other side
00:01:43.680 of the restaurant chatting with a couple of people who were probably regulars about her views on what's
00:01:48.920 going on right now and she was saying she was talking very passionately about how she used to really
00:01:53.920 love her job and that she would see all these kids smile and people would have their have their
00:01:58.220 magic moments there you know someone would be there for for a kid's birthday or whatnot it would be a
00:02:02.320 happy experience and everyone would be saying have a nice day and and she felt very positive about
00:02:06.840 working there but that now for the past year and a half it has not been a positive experience and
00:02:12.340 she was saying it's just getting worse it's dogging her down it's weighing on her now she has to ask
00:02:17.780 people for their medical papers and she just doesn't want to do it doesn't it makes her unhappy 0.89
00:02:22.380 she doesn't feel good about it anymore it makes her less happy with her job and it's just interesting
00:02:27.180 to hear that lady do that you know she's clearly tasked with enforcing these rules it is the law 1.00
00:02:31.860 she should have been doing it she wasn't doing it and this is a location that you know it's a large
00:02:36.740 operation as I said they would probably like to be seen as being uh in compliance with the rules
00:02:41.620 but long-standing employees who who love their jobs there they don't want to be enforcing these rules
00:02:47.360 not because I didn't hear the lady articulate any sort of extreme anti-vaxxer views or any far this
00:02:53.320 or far that or what have you she was just seemed like a regular decent person who said she's just
00:02:57.540 tired of all of this tired of this this this big scene and enforcing all of these rules and I just
00:03:04.200 thought it was really interesting to hear a lady tell her story and I wonder how many more people how 0.72
00:03:08.980 many more small businesses big businesses how many people working at these facilities feel this way
00:03:14.120 I'm guessing quite a lot
