00:00:16.320 saw, on Saturday night, Donald Trump did what he said he was going to do. Trump introduced tariffs
00:00:22.400 on Canadian goods. So 10% on oil, 25% on everything else. That means that anything made in Canada and
00:00:29.520 sold into the United States will face a new 25% tax. The tax will be paid by American consumers.
00:00:36.720 But by design, the new high tax will make our Canadian products less competitive, more or less
00:00:42.880 forcing Americans to purchase other products made in the USA. That means that anything produced in
00:00:49.120 Canada will no longer have access to the free market to sell in the US to the American market.
00:00:55.600 Now make no mistake, this will be absolutely devastating. Canadian exports into the United
00:01:01.040 States make up about 19% of our entire economy. It's about $440 billion per year. But Prime Minister
00:01:08.560 Justin Trudeau, who let me remind you if you need reminding, he resigned on January 6. And he has no
00:01:15.040 business leading this negotiation. But because we haven't had an election, we're stuck with him. And
00:01:20.000 he has reacted in kind. He announced on Saturday night that Canada will introduce our own 25% tariffs
00:01:26.560 on American goods. Now, again, let's be clear. This is a 25% tax paid by Canadians on goods imported
00:01:34.560 from the United States into Canada. That's about 44% of all imports which come from the United States.
00:01:41.520 So Trump's tariffs mean that Canadian businesses will go bankrupt, and Canadians will lose jobs. But these
00:01:47.760 retaliatory Canadian tariffs introduced by Justin Trudeau will mean that the price of absolutely
00:01:54.000 everything in our country is about to go up once again. So yes, on top of the GST, the HST, on top of
00:02:01.040 the carbon tax, and on top of the inflationary tax brought on by big government spending, borrowing,
00:02:06.240 and the printing of money, Canadians will now pay an additional 25% tax on most goods sold in Canada.
00:02:14.160 Folks, this will bankrupt millions of Canadians. It will plunge our struggling loony even lower,
00:02:20.720 and it will create, undoubtedly, it will create a recession. Trudeau has destroyed Canada. And now,
00:02:27.520 on his way out, he's pouring gasoline onto a raging fire. Now, equally as infuriating to Trudeau's
00:02:34.560 retaliatory tariff tax is the fact that the new tax is being applauded, cheered on and applauded by the
00:02:41.840 entire political class, Laurentian elites and Canadians alike. There's a weird consensus in
00:02:48.000 Canadian politics right now that Trump is a villain, that Trudeau struck the right tone in his Saturday
00:02:53.520 evening address, and that retaliatory tariffs are the only option. Justin Trudeau, Mark Carney, Pierre
00:03:00.320 Polyev, Doug Ford, and just about every pundit and journalist in the legacy media all agree. Well,
00:03:06.800 unfortunately for Canada, they are all wrong. A trade war will destroy every Canadian. It will
00:03:13.200 destroy our country. As much as it hurts, as much disdain as we may have for Donald Trump,
00:03:18.400 or believe that he is a bully, the only way to save Canada is to find a way to negotiate a deal with
00:03:25.760 Donald Trump. The whole concept of bullies only respond to strength, or that we need to fight fire
00:03:31.200 with fire, is wrong in this instance. Trump is a 500 pound gorilla. If you provoke him, he will tear
00:03:39.360 you apart limb by limb. We've seen this movie before. Trump will double and triple down. He will,
00:03:46.000 he will introduce more and more tariffs. Look, Donald Trump has a sweeping mandate in his country right
00:03:51.760 now. Americans want the border secured, and they want to make better economic deals to keep American
00:03:59.120 jobs. That's the reality. And this is where Trudeau's strategy from day one, from the day that Donald
00:04:04.960 Trump won the election, has been absolutely catastrophic. Remember, Trump first commented
00:04:11.600 on the tariffs in late November. Right after that, Justin Trudeau hopped on a plane to visit Trump at
00:04:17.760 his residence in Florida at Mar-a-Lago. But things didn't go very well for Trudeau. It seems that Trudeau
00:04:23.520 angered Trump. He provoked him. He poked the proverbial bear. And perhaps most damagingly of all,
00:04:30.560 Justin Trudeau told Trump that a 25% tariff would kill the Canadian economy. That is what Trump said,
00:04:38.160 that Trudeau told him that it would kill our economy and kill our country. Here is Fox News's
00:04:44.400 Peter Doocy reporting at the time. And tonight we're getting some new details about that Trump-Trudeau
00:04:49.680 dinner from two people who were at the table. We are told that when Trudeau told President-elect
00:04:55.520 Trump that new tariffs would kill the Canadian economy, Trump joked to him that if Canada can't
00:05:01.440 survive without ripping off the U.S. to the tune of $100 billion a year, then maybe Canada should
00:05:07.840 become the 51st state and Trudeau could become its governor. So why would Justin Trudeau say that?
00:05:15.280 Why would he tell Trump Canada's greatest weakness? It seems to me that as soon as Trudeau put that
00:05:21.920 idea into Trump's head, that Canada can't survive as an economy or as a country without America, well,
00:05:28.160 Trump decided to test the theory. Now that interaction between Donald Trump and Justin Trudeau
00:05:34.640 led to Justin Trudeau more or less firing his finance minister, Chrystia Freeland, who then resigned
00:05:39.840 a few days later. And a few days after that, Justin Trudeau himself resigned. Trudeau got us into this
00:05:45.840 mess and he sure won't be the one to get us out of it. So now he's cynically digging in his feet and
00:05:51.760 destroying our entire economy and our country and our place in the world just to try to win back support
00:05:58.160 for his liberal party. It makes me sick. Well, Trump said that if Canada retaliates with our own tariffs,
00:06:05.520 then so will America. It's right there in black and white in Trump's executive order on trade.
00:06:11.600 So here we are with a crippled economy waiting for the final death blow from Trump. Okay, so what
00:06:18.960 should Canada do? Well, let me tell you what I would do. First, I would lock down the borders,
00:06:24.400 I would close immigration entirely, and I would start swiftly deporting anybody in our country illegally,
00:06:30.960 anyone in our country that is on a terror watch list, and any foreigner convicted in the drug trade.
00:06:37.360 We have to take this seriously. We need to secure our border, secure our country, get the bad guys out.
00:06:43.920 Second, I would stop all drugs coming and going from Canada. We would relentlessly go after those
00:06:50.000 making the drugs, moving the drugs, those importing and exporting the drugs across our shared border with
00:06:56.400 the United States. Canada needs to arrest, prosecute and deport any foreign criminals. And number three,
00:07:03.200 we need to crack down on regime sponsored criminal gangs in Canada, including Chinese, Sikh, Mexican,
00:07:09.920 Iranian, and any other foreign gangs operating in Canada. We need to beef up our law enforcement
00:07:15.360 and go hard against criminals. We need to clean up our country. And then after that, yes, there is an
00:07:21.680 opportunity, as Pierre Polyev has been advocating for, to truly free our economy and start to recover
00:07:28.160 from the 10 disastrous Trudeau years. This was, again, suggested by Pierre Polyev. So what do we have
00:07:33.520 to do? First, break down interprovincial trade barriers and truly free up our country. Number two,
00:07:38.800 we need to open up our oil exports by building pipelines, terminals, seaports, and allowing our oil to get
00:07:46.080 to other markets. Number three, we need to massively lower taxes and make Canada more competitive.
00:07:52.480 Finally, we need to rebuild our military, finally hit that 2% of GDP goal. It is long overdue. It is
00:07:59.040 embarrassing. Canada needs to build up its military. And now when it comes to dealing with Donald Trump,
00:08:05.120 I believe that Pierre Polyev should jump on an airplane to Washington yesterday. He should do it as
00:08:10.480 soon as possible. He should do it now to meet with President Donald Trump. He hasn't done it so far.
00:08:15.520 I get that there's some risk, but I think that Pierre Polyev has to do it. He has to try to
00:08:19.920 negotiate a better deal. So here is how Canada's Conservative leader, Pierre Polyev, can avert disaster,
00:08:26.080 save Canada, and get an early election at the same time. So look, on Saturday night during his speech,
00:08:33.360 Justin Trudeau said he admitted that Donald Trump will not take his calls. Trump is done with Trudeau.
00:08:39.440 I don't blame him. As far as I'm concerned, as far as most people are concerned, Trudeau is on the way out.
00:08:44.160 He should be treated as irrelevant. Remember, he resigned. Usually when you resign, it means you
00:08:49.360 leave. But Trudeau didn't leave. Instead, he prorogued Parliament so his own party could rebuild.
00:08:55.040 This is anti-democratic. It makes Trudeau illegitimate in the eyes of many, including,
00:09:00.080 presumably, Donald Trump. Now, the country is on a knife's edge, and Trudeau, with the full backing
00:09:05.440 of Canada's corrupted media and the Laurentian elites, is betraying Canada's best interest.
00:09:10.720 Polyev should hop on the plane and tell Trump these important facts. He should plead with Trump.
00:09:15.760 He should tell Trump to please wait. Wait until Justin Trudeau leaves. Wait until there's an
00:09:20.880 election. Trudeau is on his way out. He is loathed and despised by many Canadians, and he is no longer
00:09:27.120 legitimate. Polyev should assure Donald Trump that on March 24th, Parliament will come back and the
00:09:32.560 Liberals will lose a confidence vote, triggering an election. At that point, Pierre Polyev is projected to
00:09:38.480 win a sweeping majority. And by May 2025, God willing, Polyev will be the Prime Minister and in a position to
00:09:46.480 strike the better deal. Polyev should tell Trump that his first priority in government will be to
00:09:52.240 return Canada to having strict immigration rules, securing the border, and introducing the harshest
00:09:58.160 penalties in the world against drug dealers and criminal enterprises, and also commit to growing our
00:10:04.240 military to help protect the North and contribute our share to securing the hemisphere. Now, Polyev can
00:10:10.800 strike a new deal with Trump. It would look something like this. Wait for the election. Pierre Polyev wins.
00:10:16.000 Give us 90 days to fix this mess. If Polyev can fix it, then no tariffs. Now, if Polyev loses the election,
00:10:22.240 and it remains to be Liberal rule, or if Polyev fails to fix the mess, then Trump can introduce the tariffs
00:10:28.240 as planned. Now, could you imagine what this would do? Imagine the possible upside for Polyev. If Trump were
00:10:34.000 to come out and say, okay, I'll pause the tariffs until there is an election in Canada. Let the democratic
00:10:40.560 process play out. That would force Trudeau to actually walk away and actually have an election,
00:10:46.480 which is what we all want. Pierre Polyev would go down in history as the most successful Prime Minister
00:10:52.320 elect in history by saving the country from an economic disaster, a calamity of a trade war before
00:10:59.120 he was ever even elected. Look, I think it would work, and that is what I think Polyev should do.
