When it comes to the gloom and doom, global warming, and climate change fearmongering, the left loves to channel Helen Lovejoy from the Simpsons. Will somebody please think of the children? 00:00:00.000 When it comes to the gloom and doom, global warming, and climate change fear-mongering,
00:00:07.000 the left loves to channel Helen Lovejoy from The Simpsons.
00:00:11.000 Oh, won't somebody please think of the children?
00:00:15.000 Oh yes, you hear that all the time.
00:00:17.000 Won't somebody please think of the children?
00:00:19.000 Except it's not about the love of the children or the love of the next generation.
00:00:23.000 It's actually about exploiting them.
00:00:25.000 Just look at the content they're putting out to try to get adults to go along with the left's fear-mongering scenarios about this.
00:00:32.000 Take a look at this new ad that was released by the David Suzuki Foundation
00:00:36.000 as part of the tongue-in-cheek 18 to 8 campaign,
00:00:40.000 making a joke about whether we should lower the voting age to 8 because of climate change.
00:00:45.000 Climate change, climate change, you're a threat.
00:00:48.000 How many years do we have left?
00:00:51.000 Excuse me, do you guys have a moment to talk about climate change?
00:00:54.000 So this is it.
00:00:59.000 HQ, or headquarters for those who don't know.
00:01:03.000 Every part of the machine is integral.
00:01:05.000 Can't save the world without coffee.
00:01:08.000 And naps.
00:01:10.000 We polled kids across Canada and asked them to rank election issues in order of priority.
00:01:15.000 74% ranks climate change as the issue most important to them.
00:01:19.000 Climate scientists are now saying we only have 12 years left to act.
00:01:22.000 If we want to avoid catastrophic damage.
00:01:25.000 Now to be clear, I don't think the David Suzuki Foundation is genuinely pushing to lower the voting age to 8.
00:01:31.000 But they are clearly in that ad using children for a very cynical political purpose.
00:01:37.000 By getting kids to try to fear-monger and strong-arm adults into going along with these massive carbon taxes and anti-industrial policies.
00:01:46.000 Just because, oh, look at the kids. They're so cute.
00:01:49.000 But this is part of something far more sinister coming from the environmental alarmists.
00:01:53.000 And it's not just limited to this tongue-in-cheek PSA from the David Suzuki Foundation.
00:01:58.000 Take a look at this segment that appeared on CBC Kids.
00:02:01.000 Where some adorable little girl tells us that we're all going to die because of global warming.
00:02:06.000 A lot of people are like, oh, what about the people in the oil industries and the electronic industries and the paper industries?
00:02:15.000 Well, it doesn't really matter what job you have if you're dead, so.
00:02:20.000 And, of course, we have that Scandinavian phenom, Greta Thunberg. 1.00
00:02:24.000 This young woman has become the face of the global warming movement.
00:02:29.000 She's become the face of the global warming campaign. 0.99
00:02:32.000 And I don't take aim at her like some other people do.
00:02:35.000 I think she's a young woman that has a voice and she's using it.
00:02:38.000 I think the adults who hold her up as some sort of demigoddess are going to find that maybe she moves on from this phase in her life as so many teenagers do.
00:02:47.000 But even if she doesn't, right now she is being handled and managed by what I can only describe as being activist stage parents
00:02:55.000 and given a platform that would be called exploitation were she using it for anything other than global warming. 1.00
00:03:02.000 Imagine if some 16-year-old autistic teenager were the face of the Second Amendment movement to stand up for gun ownership rights
00:03:09.000 or if she were standing up for tax cuts or anything else.
00:03:13.000 If this were a conservative message, people would be calling it child abuse.
00:03:18.000 But because it fits into the adult narrative, we all have to go along with it and call it charming.
00:03:23.000 My issue is not with the kids that decide they want to get involved in this.
00:03:28.000 In fact, if you go back to the David Suzuki Foundation PSA,
00:03:31.000 the reason so many kids think global warming is important is not because they're more suited to identify key public policy issues,
00:03:39.000 but because it's being rammed down their throats by the public education system. 0.84
00:03:43.000 You have kids being used and adults going along with it.
00:03:48.000 How many times have we seen a photo of some child at a rally holding up a sign about some public policy issue
00:03:54.000 when clearly the kid doesn't know what they're talking about?
00:03:57.000 They're smiling because all of these people are fawning over them and giving them attention.
00:04:01.000 They're being kids.
00:04:02.000 But activist adults are trying to deny children the right to be children. 0.99
00:04:07.000 It's disgusting and it's sickening. 0.88
