Juno News - Our Prime Minister needs a fundamental re-think

00:00:00.000 I was watching my colleague Anthony Fiori's excellent video on the Toronto Sun website

00:00:13.860 called Justin Trudeau's Gaff-tastic Week where he talked about the SNC-Lavalin problems,

00:00:22.020 the entertaining of the Japanese Prime Minister in which he referred to Japan not once but twice

00:00:27.900 as China and that culminated with the episode of the Simpsons literally poking fun at him and I got

00:00:43.200 to thinking you know this is really nothing new other than the Simpsons part of course but he

00:00:51.540 seems to be committing gaffe after gaffe and making bad decision after bad decision every week and

00:00:57.780 it's been going that way since since he started remember the the ethical problems he got in with

00:01:03.540 over the trip to the Aga Khan's island happened very early on in his administration has the Prime

00:01:10.380 Minister met with the ethics commissioner and if so how many times I am pleased to work with

00:01:18.480 the ethics commissioner and Concord Committee's commissioner to answer any questions she may

00:01:24.240 have it's just been one thing after another and none of them good none of them good he he's damaged

00:01:31.380 our relationship with with a number of friendly nations including China and including India with

00:01:37.560 that that ridiculous trip he had there last year we're currently having trade problems with with China

00:01:43.920 over soybeans so instead of fixing the problems he throws money at the soybean farmers I don't know

00:01:50.100 how that's the solution and and it goes on I mean there's a there's a there's so much more remember the

00:01:57.160 initially the the finance minister got in some inside trading things then all the money he's given out

00:02:03.120 everywhere 300 million to the Rohingya refugee crisis 125 million to Caribbean reconstruction 20 million dollar to a bill in Hillary Clinton

00:02:13.680 foundation that was a doozy and that was about the same time as he told our vets that they were

00:02:18.780 asking too much first of all why are we still fighting against certain veterans groups in court because

00:02:27.120 they're asking for more than we are able to give right now then there was 650 million to sexual and

00:02:34.500 reproductive health in Haiti it's it's almost it's comical when you start thinking about some of these 1.00

00:02:41.700 things there was another 50 million dollar to Palestine for flood relief 840 million to Syria for humanitarian assistance

00:02:48.700 then there was the whole helicopter screw up in that deal with the Philippines he cancelled the F-35 deal that had been

00:02:56.480 negotiated going back to the government of Jean Chrétien and Paul Martin and that deal had progressed through the

00:03:04.700 the government of Stephen Harper and then when he gets in office he cancels it and then buys a bunch of clapped

00:03:11.700 out F-18s from Australia who did buy the the F-35 project so much so that these things are going to be a little

00:03:19.700 better than spare parts for our existing F-18s and the problem is they're all going to have to be retrofitted so that they can communicate with the combat systems of the new planes it makes no sense at all some of the decisions that he's making and today we learn what the

00:03:33.700 and today we learned that Ralph Goodale has expunged the words Sunni and Shia and Sikh from the Canadian report on terrorism put together by Intel our intelligence community I mean how does that make sense how do you how do you deal with the problem if you can't see where the problem lies also this week we also learned that in order to get a background audience for an announcement he made in Waterloo a union had to pay people a hundred dollars a head to stand and act as a backdrop

00:04:00.700 and then he gets into all the gender equity stuff and the the racial identity wars that he's starting he's and it's starting he's already trying to paint Andrews share as a white supremacist and it's just it's it's getting ridiculous this this prime minister really needs to have a fundamental rethink some people have been calling for his resignation

00:04:27.700 for his resignation. I don't know. I doubt that'll happen. I think he's determined to lead the

00:04:33.100 Liberals into the next election. But I also think that if he does, it's hard for me to see how they

00:04:40.360 can possibly convince enough Canadians to vote for this incompetent mess of a government to

00:04:47.680 continue much further. The way he's wasting money and raising taxes on Canadians, he's hurt

00:04:54.700 business. Instead of hitching his wagon to the booming U.S. economy, our largest trading partner,

00:05:02.060 he imposed an 11.2% payroll tax on business. He's imposed a carbon tax on most of the country that

00:05:08.940 already didn't have one. And all it's doing is costing more and more business to leave the

00:05:15.080 country. We've lost in a report that came out last week in the Financial Post, estimated over $20

00:05:20.820 billion of lost business just by not having the TMX pipeline done. This just can't keep going on

00:05:33.480 like this. If it does, I can assure you that most Canadians will be praying that October

00:05:39.020 just can't come soon enough. For True North, I'm Leo Knight.
