00:00:00.000 Last week on the show we had a panel conversation with former Alberta Premier Jason Kenney and
00:00:12.240 Conservative strategist Anthony Koch. We talked about the modern state of conservatism in Canada
00:00:17.140 and in particular how Canadian Conservatives should react to deteriorating relations with
00:00:22.280 the United States. How should they approach the Donald Trump issue? Now our conversation
00:00:27.060 triggered quite the reaction on social media. In particular, when we were discussing what seems to
00:00:32.380 be a growing number of commentators on the right in Canada who blame Canada exclusively for the
00:00:38.940 ongoing trade war at the US, who never seem to hold Donald Trump accountable and instead seek to
00:00:44.880 blame Canada. Now what many of you don't realize is that we were supposed to have a countering voice
00:00:49.540 on the right on the panel, but that commentator pulled out 10 minutes before we were set to
00:00:55.920 record. But this week I'm bringing on two influential conservative voices in Canada
00:00:59.900 who are going to provide the other perspective of this ongoing debate, this ongoing split
00:01:06.380 within the Canadian conservative movement. That panel comes up next. The Canadian government and
00:01:12.380 big tech find new ways every day to shut down and silence conservative voices online. There's no
00:01:17.600 longer this big moment when you get cancelled. It's done so quietly behind your back by tweaking
00:01:22.200 algorithms. The only way we can make sure you receive every episode of Ratioed is to make a

00:01:50.240 episode is this is the conservative movement in canada perceived as being too pro-american let
00:01:58.380 me know your answer in the comments below and let's get into it all right joining me now is
00:02:02.960 conservative content creator mario zelaya and the founder of juno news kian bexty thank you both for
00:02:09.300 joining me thanks for having me all right mario i want to start with you last week we spoke with
00:02:16.120 jason kenney who took aim at a growing number of conservative content creators personalities online
00:02:23.640 who seem to view the trade war as entirely the fault of canada and oftentimes justify or defend
00:02:31.000 u.s tariffs you took aim and an issue with his comments on social media i want to give you the
00:02:36.440 floor to expand on your issue with jason kenny's view of where the conservative movement is at
00:02:43.160 Well, I mean, my big concern was he made a comment saying that these MAGA North content creators or whatever he called us using similar terminologies that I would expect from liberals to use to basically attack conservative content creators as though they're attacking Canada.
00:03:06.740 and he actually used that word attack and so there has to be this distinction between
00:03:12.500 attack and holding the government accountable right just because we are criticizing the existing
00:03:18.920 carny government or the liberal government doesn't mean that we're all of a sudden attacking
00:03:24.200 Canada and there's this lack of patriotism you got to keep in mind what we do and specifically
00:03:28.820 what I do I don't do this for money like I literally do it to educate people I do it to
00:03:34.240 make sure that Canadians know what's truly happening in our country because
00:03:38.520 we have a very biased mainstream media that exists and that that is no mystery anymore like
00:03:46.080 that is just an open secret that everyone understands to the point where the government's
00:03:50.280 now funded them or giving them more money to tell us what's misinformation so the state gets to tell
00:03:56.040 a state broadcaster to tell us what they should believe that that whole circular logic doesn't
00:04:02.160 work and then so when you have content creators literally um you know keeping mark carney
00:04:09.340 accountable that's all of a sudden attacking canada i thought that was uh deplorable i asked
00:04:14.680 him flat out him and i tagged someone else who had been saying similar comments who are you referring
00:04:20.160 to like i i want to know like i think it's about time we start naming names because i would love
00:04:26.440 to know who who these individuals are that are attacking canada because if anyone's attacking
00:04:30.940 Canada I'm not going to be behind them I'm going to be attacking them but for him to come out and
00:04:37.180 I think disparage people who do this out of the passion and for the love of their country to then
00:04:43.140 try to twist that that we're attacking Canada I the only MAGA that I've seen is Mark Carney where
00:04:50.100 he literally said that Canada can make America great again I never said that he did and so who's
00:04:56.020 attacking who here who's the one that has their elbows up and isn't able to negotiate a deal
00:05:00.340 uh kian um do you feel like the concerns that jason kenney has been raising and some other
00:05:09.540 people have been raising that there is an electability issue here that conservatives
00:05:14.260 are viewed broadly by the electorate as being if not pro-trump at least soft on the u.s what
00:05:20.500 do you make of that observation and whether or not you think there's anything to it
00:05:24.420 you know i think that he might be right that conservatives are unelectable at this moment
00:05:34.720 um and and it's all actually thanks to him you know jason kenny ruined this country back when
00:05:41.200 he was minister of citizenship and immigration he ruined alberta when he was the premier of
00:05:46.480 alberta uh he conservatives have a bad reputation thanks to people like jason kenny he's always
00:05:52.800 hated Donald Trump. So that's not a surprise. He wasn't a fan of Donald Trump during the primary
00:05:57.500 season back in 2015. And he's part of this conservative, philosophical, elite class in
00:06:05.440 Canada that is just as bad as the Laurentian liberals. They are all inward looking. They're
00:06:12.200 all in it for themselves. And Jason Kenney is no different than the worst of the worst. So
00:06:18.320 when he gives advice to conservatives that actually, no, you just need more of me,
00:06:22.800 more Jason Kenney and less of these wrong thinking influencers that clearly by definition have the
00:06:31.620 support of grassroots Canadian conservatives. You know, Jason Kenney famously lost his leadership
00:06:37.360 review in Alberta as a conservative premier because he is a failure. He's a failure as a 0.98
00:06:44.000 politician. And any advice that he gives is not advice that I would be taking as someone who wants
00:06:49.340 to see this country be more right-wing rather than less.
00:06:53.280 So, Mario, do you think there's something afoot here?
00:06:55.140 Do you think that there is a plan to undermine Pierre Polyev,
00:06:59.140 to elevate some of these more philosophical conservatives,
00:07:04.640 as Kian described them?
00:07:05.520 What do you think is really going on here?
00:07:08.580 I think it's no secret.
00:07:09.940 I mean, I think the issue which I'll say this kind of class of kingmakers
00:07:18.020 has now is you have these conservative influencers and voices that didn't exist before.
00:07:26.560 You know, like, and I'm going to use as an example where, you know, I believe people like
00:07:31.880 Corey Tanike, who had registered a third party before to oust and run ads against Andrew Scheer
00:07:38.640 to remove him as leader. And they successfully did because he left a few weeks after that.
00:07:43.740 they're used to being able to do that they're used to being able to put out hit pieces and
00:07:49.000 being able to get away with it and being able to get the leader to step down they're used to a world
00:07:53.960 where they have all the power and the control they can manipulate media they have relationships
00:07:58.740 within the media and they're able to put out these stories that you know Pierre Polyev is x
00:08:05.900 Pierre Polyev is y and all in the hopes to basically remove him and I think it's happening
00:08:11.760 in real time and I'm of the belief that you know Ford is I think it should be no secret he's
00:08:18.600 interested in the seat I think Jason Kenney is interested in the seat and I think there's going
00:08:22.080 to be several others that are going to be coming up but to me there's been more of an interest 0.88
00:08:26.380 at least on this kind of kingmaker class to remove Polyev instead of actually helping him
00:08:33.020 and I don't think that's very helpful for us to to get elected and what's interesting is
00:08:38.880 when you call them out on it, when you literally shut down the arguments that they're bringing
00:08:44.860 forward, they all of a sudden say, this isn't the way to do it, Mario. You're not building a tent.
00:08:50.240 Well, how can you tell me I'm not building the tent when you're the one that's putting the knife
00:08:53.460 in Pierre Polyev's back? You're the one that's actually destroying the tent. So don't give me
00:08:58.400 this whole tent argument that, you know, what they're doing is somehow significantly better
00:09:04.400 and more, I don't know, for the better good than anything that I'm doing. I'm not the one
00:09:10.780 doing anything. If anything, I'm supporting the leader that was democratically, you know,
00:09:16.400 I'll say reelected by the conservatives to represent by a higher margin than what Harper
00:09:21.460 was elected for. So we've already talked about this. So what are we doing talking about replacing
00:09:26.000 a leader? Like this, to me, what they're doing behind the scenes is not only hurting the
00:09:32.120 conservative movement, I think they're purposely tanking it in order to try to remove Pierre and
00:09:36.920 to say, hey, you know what, look at his leadership. Like, what are we talking about here? What they
00:09:42.200 are doing is undemocratic. And I think it is so incredibly wrong. And I think it is so incredibly
00:09:47.420 disgusting. It is transparent. And I think there is a unity among the grassroots conservatives that 0.71
00:09:54.280 we are behind Pierre. Pierre has activated so many people. And when I use that word,
00:09:58.960 i mean that there's people who were never involved in politics before and i will put my hand up and
00:10:04.260 say that that that's literally what he did with me he's the person that got me interested and i
00:10:09.040 said who the heck is this guy i was never interested in politics until he started becoming
00:10:14.100 into the picture magnify that by literally hundreds of thousands if not potentially
00:10:19.620 millions of people look at the numbers he put up yet did we lose absolutely we did but look at the
00:10:24.220 numbers of what he did there's only one person that did that and then all of a sudden the king
00:10:28.480 maker class is telling us that he's no longer good enough so i like that yeah go ahead i like
00:10:34.180 that phrase king maker class and we saw that in bc where uh and again i really do like carolyn
00:10:42.660 elliott as a person and uh even her political beliefs i really align with but there was a lot
00:10:49.240 of people who were paid to support her uh and a lot of her support base came from people who she
00:10:55.000 was paying and people who knew they would be paid if she won right there's being in the kingmaker
00:11:00.760 class is big big business so when you see pierre paulie up there he has his people around him he
00:11:06.500 has his people in the party office he has his people in the opposition office and he has his
00:11:10.880 front bench and he has his back bench and they're all supporting him the people on the outside
00:11:15.400 they know that if there's a change in leadership or a removal of the top guy they'll at least have
00:11:21.360 a chance at putting their person in getting better contracts getting uh you know if you're involved
00:11:26.640 in the campaign well then the cbc will pay you even more to be an analyst on their panels this
00:11:31.680 is like how they live how they make money jason kenny has never done anything else other than
00:11:37.440 coast on the coattails of his political career uh after he famously destroyed it himself so i'm not
00:11:44.000 going to take his recommendations and i'm not even a huge fan of pierre polyev like i you know i i i
00:11:48.900 was supportive of him when he was running for the leadership and I voted conservative uh I just
00:11:55.320 don't think that changing the leader is going to be massively beneficial what is Doug Ford going to
00:11:59.880 he's he's pulling it at at record lows right now Jason Kenney he's he's uh despised by conservatives
00:12:08.060 in Alberta maybe he has a better go of it in Saskatchewan or or wherever else he's from I
00:12:12.420 forget but he's definitely not from Alberta uh if if there was a change in leadership that's not
00:12:17.640 going to change the political situation of this country. The conservatives are disadvantaged at
00:12:21.700 this moment. That will change if the NDP start doing well, which I think that they will. Canada
00:12:27.440 is not an inherently right-wing country, and Mark Carney is governing as a red Tory, effectively.
00:12:33.760 So there's a huge, huge window on the left of this country for Abby Lewis to stumble through
00:12:40.100 and do phenomenally better than Jagmeet Singh did. And if they do that, if they bring their
00:12:46.740 vote up, you know, to like plus 10, there's going to be a huge redrawing of the political map of
00:12:55.640 this country. And Pierre doesn't have to do anything. Changing the leader would be a waste
00:12:59.260 of money, a waste of time. And odds are we get someone way, way worse. It seems though, right
00:13:05.680 now, like holding onto the leadership over the next three or four years before the next election
00:13:10.660 is going to be a tough task, given what has happened to his predecessors. And if it is true
00:13:16.380 that there is a an effort behind the scenes led by uh the provincial conservatives and whether
00:13:22.440 it's Doug Ford and Corey tonight if that effort is only going to ramp up this seems like a tall
00:13:26.920 task do you think that he can actually survive Kian yeah I I think that the likelihood of Pierre
00:13:32.960 leaving is effectively zero um people can clip that as much as they want if he ever ends up
00:13:39.540 leaving but I think it really is low right like caucus has to remove him the party membership
00:13:44.240 voted 90 now was that a fair vote well they kind of you know the delegates were people uh that
00:13:49.680 supported the conservative party thus likely supported the leader they were handing out
00:13:53.200 ballots that said you know here's how you circle yes on pierre's leadership review you know but at
00:13:58.640 the end of the day they voted 90 uh to support the leader uh and the caucus shows absolutely no signs
00:14:05.600 of dissent and the ones that are are leaving so you know it's kind of like the self-pruning
00:14:10.720 mechanism that if people don't support the leader if they actually support mark carney if deep down
00:14:14.800 they are red tories well go join the red tory party that is now uh the liberal party they're
00:14:19.600 welcome to do that in fact i encourage anyone who wants to cross the floor to go do it we have mark
00:14:23.920 carney for another three years go enjoy your time in government show everyone your true stripes
00:14:28.080 show people that you're in it for yourself uh and then pierre pauliev what he actually uh the the
00:14:33.520 challenge that is ahead of him he's not holding on to his leadership but it is remaking caucus
00:14:37.920 to be an actually conservative caucus so when the ndp do their job and create uh the political
00:14:43.600 situation that can cause the conservatives to accidentally be elected as is required in this
00:14:47.920 country stephen harper's majority was because the ndp did well that he is able to go in with
00:14:54.800 an elite and uh not in that sense elite but like a highly skilled cons truly conservative bench
00:15:04.000 of people who will go scorched earth on this country uh who will change the institutions
00:15:09.520 who will fire the bureaucracy who will appoint based judges uh and actually do what stephen
00:15:14.960 harper failed to do which was remake this this country in a way that would make pierre elliott
00:15:20.320 trudeau roll in his grave unfortunately stephen harper failed to do that and i hope that pierre
00:15:24.960 pauliev i think uh will actually be able to execute on that if he is able to remake his caucus
00:15:31.360 into a truly conservative one, one that doesn't allow people like Michael Ma to accidentally be
00:15:38.800 nominated within their ranks. Mario, going back to this issue between the provincial conservatives
00:15:44.540 and the federal conservatives, particularly Doug Ford versus Pierre Polyev, I fully understand
00:15:49.860 the frustration that a lot of conservatives feel, a lot of base conservatives feel right now,
00:15:55.680 because it seems as though the premier is attacking Pierre and doing so quite a lot.
00:16:00.520 The obvious flip side to this, however, is that if Ontario conservatives just abandoned the PC party,
00:16:07.700 we could end up with an Ontario liberal premier or even worse, a new Democrat premier.
00:16:14.240 What would be the response to that?
00:16:16.500 I mean, is the answer to abandon the PC party or say, no, hold on, we got to make sure we don't, you know,
00:16:23.560 in in trying to solve this issue and trying to call out bad leadership we don't end up with an
00:16:28.840 ndp premier go ahead mario yeah and oh i'm sorry there's a bit of a delay there um what i will say
00:16:38.440 is this um on the ontario leadership uh side for the liberals if eric lombardi wins that
00:16:48.560 there will be a massive wave of conservatives that will be voting liberal. They will vote for
00:16:55.500 him. Eric Lombardi, I'm not sure if you know his policies or his stances, but he's more conservative
00:17:01.740 than Doug Ford. And he's very pragmatic. And he's very direct. And he's very, very good in his
00:17:08.760 policies and his ideas uh he is intellectually levels about above doug ford his uh i think
00:17:18.360 vision for what ontario can be and should be is completely different um you know i i would like
00:17:25.480 to think that um you know and i know it's a tough pill for many conservatives to swallow to you know
00:17:32.600 vote in a liberal government but i think we are so fed up with the cost of living and all the issues
00:17:38.280 that doug ford has not resolved in ontario at all has filled catastrophically for at this point in
00:17:44.360 time right now there literally is no difference between voting for a liberal or voting for doug
00:17:50.040 ford the liberal and that is the common understanding and that that's literally why i
00:17:53.880 refused to vote in the last election i refused to give doug ford my vote um i think he's i saw it
00:18:00.280 long before his polling started getting down to the 21 or whatever it is right now and i think
00:18:06.600 what he's doing right now with his whole um antagonizing the us is purely for polling purposes
00:18:13.400 and you have to look at things with the us in in a way of are you doing things for the better of
00:18:20.120 the country are you doing things to better your polling and right now he's doing the latter he's
00:18:26.360 helping himself in the polling which is trying to reactivate those people who he may have
00:18:31.720 potentially lost but i i honestly think that if you know someone like eric does win the ontario
00:18:39.080 leadership bid he is going to get a monumental push from conservatives and at that point i think
00:18:45.800 i honestly think no matter what doug ford is on his last term and from what i can tell with my
00:18:50.920 own sources i know that eric lombardi is in fact raising money from previous pc party donors so
00:18:57.720 that does tell you something about what is going on behind the scenes in this liberal leadership
00:19:02.320 race. He and Mario brought up the U.S. question again, and how much of this is political theater,
00:19:09.720 how much of this is genuine strategy. And it seems that no matter what Pierre Polyev says,
00:19:15.820 he's always going to be branded as being soft on Trump. Even when they criticize the liberal
00:19:20.940 government for caving on the bridge deal, for example, is there anything Pierre Polyev and
00:19:26.340 the conservatives can actually say right now regarding this trade war that will give them
00:19:31.040 good press? It's a good question. And I think we need to be looking a little bit more medium
00:19:38.180 to long term on this. The goal that I see the conservative party kind of,
00:19:45.860 the strategy I see them implementing is giving the liberals enough rope so that they can hang 0.63
00:19:51.300 themselves. They're not in government. The conservatives do not need to execute a better
00:19:57.020 trade deal or an alternative trade deal. That is not the situation they find themselves in.
00:20:02.120 The situation they find themselves in is being an opposition party in a country neighboring
00:20:07.620 Donald Trump, which is not easy, but Donald Trump will not be president forever. And if J.D. Vance
00:20:14.240 or Kamala Harris or Marco Rubio become the next president, the likelihood that they continue
00:20:21.980 this attack on Canada, and all of their allies for that matter, I think is pretty low. Donald
00:20:30.180 Trump will be a lame day president in, I think it's like six months right after the midterms.
00:20:35.440 It will be difficult for him to sustain this trajectory of antagonizing Canada. And with that,
00:20:44.240 the Liberal Party's entire operating procedure over the last, you know, 12 years will be falling
00:20:53.820 apart. They will have no more enemy to the south of the border. They'll have a Republican, but
00:20:57.860 Conservative Canadians don't just hate Republican presidents just because they're Republican. They
00:21:02.080 hate them when they antagonize us and when they treat us poorly and not as a friend and an ally
00:21:07.200 trusted partner uh if people are able to see long enough ahead uh just a few months ahead
00:21:14.640 where donald trump will no longer have the power that he has that he wields now and his base will
00:21:19.840 be looking elsewhere for a future president uh it will be a tough sell for the liberal party to keep
00:21:25.120 using donald trump as a boogeyman mario what are your what are your thoughts on on what can be said
00:21:31.920 and what maybe should just be kept silent i mean i look to exam i look for example at the latest
00:21:37.600 toronto star cartoon where for whatever reason they depict pierre polyev as making as the one
00:21:44.960 making a deal with donald trump it's absurd it just makes me believe actually at this point that
00:21:51.200 it would be better for the conservatives to say nothing at all
00:21:53.520 what do you think well i i mean that there's clearly a bias that that exists there and and
00:22:02.660 you know i i think it doesn't help when we have i think last week on your show jason kenny was
00:22:08.100 saying well if i could i'd whisper in doug ford's ear and tell him to keep poking the bear
00:22:13.260 and i mean i will say this that that type of uh rhetoric and that type of uh open discussion
00:22:22.280 coming from the conservative party and it's already happening from the liberal party it's
00:22:28.900 not helpful at all and i mean i'm not clear on jason kenney's marital status but i will tell
00:22:35.220 you this if i'm getting a divorce or if i'm you know in a rough patch with my wife the last thing
00:22:41.380 i'm going to do to try to salvage that relationship or our marriage is poke her in the eye and to keep 1.00
00:22:47.060 poking her in the eye and for me to say hey kian do me a favor go poke my wife in the eye 0.99
00:22:51.760 I'll play the good cop you play the bad cop let's work together on this and then we're going to see 1.00
00:22:57.880 if we can make a deal you're like people have to remember there are neighbors forever forever
00:23:04.980 like this is a long-term partnership and and I'm using the analogy of a wife because I think it's
00:23:11.000 the most perfect example you don't want to head towards a divorce you don't want to be splitting
00:23:15.700 these assets you don't want to antagonize the other side you want to actually form a relationship
00:23:20.120 we've tried the elbows up for 18 months it has not worked and look look at what happened Mark
00:23:25.160 Carney said guys look at look at this the Gordie Howe bridge I'm going to split my half and we're
00:23:33.640 going to split our half after I pay my taxes after I pay my mortgage payments after I pay my car
00:23:38.320 payments and there's going to be basically nothing for me to pay my ex-wife so you know what we're
00:23:44.300 going to split things up and she's basically going to get nothing that's what he literally said
00:23:48.000 publicly. And so what do you think my wife is going to do? She's going to go on TV and she's 1.00
00:23:54.440 going to set the record straight. Actually, I'm getting half of his revenue before he even pays
00:24:00.160 the taxes, before he pays the mortgage. So what I'm getting for my child support payments is
00:24:05.220 actually going to be significant. And that's literally what happened. We only found out about
00:24:09.000 the truth because of America. And this type of rhetoric and this type of antagonizing a monster
00:24:16.940 isn't going to be very helpful, especially when we have such close relationship. Again,
00:24:22.620 this is our partner and our neighbor forever. And that's what people have to realize. And I think
00:24:27.660 it was Scott Moe that said it best. And I think he said something like, what are we doing fighting
00:24:33.020 them? It's not working. And so my whole, you know, approach to this is when you're making deals with
00:24:39.980 someone, and I've experienced this myself on the business side, I have a rule where I don't do 1.00
00:24:46.400 business with a-holes, period. As soon as I see the person for who they are, I don't care how much 1.00
00:24:51.540 money's on the table. I have way more problems dealing with people like that than people who
00:24:56.160 are good and nice. But when you're constantly antagonizing the other side, that plays a vital
00:25:01.880 role into the whole, you know, mechanics of actually negotiating a deal. And this to me
00:25:06.920 strikes me as these are people who have been in politics for far too long that they forget how
00:25:11.740 the real world and the private sector thinks and how people actually feel. They don't have the
00:25:15.960 management skills necessary in order to negotiate something properly. And this type of antagonizing
00:25:21.300 coming from literally the top levels of our government, both from Mark Carney acting
00:25:26.720 completely immature and behaving in this manner and publicly saying it's net profits, there's going
00:25:31.020 to be no money left anyways, and then blaming it on his cowboy hat and it being early in the morning
00:25:35.820 is completely embarrassing. Like there's no other word for it. It's embarrassing. And then to have
00:25:40.140 Jason Kenney, who used to be the premier of Alberta, who used to be a cabinet minister
00:25:44.160 under Harper saying, you know what, I would whisper in Doug Ford's ear, keep doing the same
00:25:48.440 thing. It is embarrassing. Kian, I want to just ask you about this recent column that was published
00:25:55.000 in the Globe and Mail by Andrew Coyne that has really teed off a large conversation on social
00:26:00.160 media, saying that the Conservatives have a patriotism problem and that in Canada, unlike
00:26:06.220 basically every other Western democracy, patriotism seems to be the political domain of
00:26:12.360 the left rather than the right. And I just find that all strange because I can't believe the
00:26:16.740 party that claims patriotism is the same party responsible for mass immigration, for the mass
00:26:22.920 change in demographics in our country, giving free drugs out to struggling Canadians. I mean, 0.51
00:26:28.860 the list just goes on and on and they get to claim patriotism. Why do you think that is? And what do
00:26:36.020 you make of this argument that they do get to claim patriotism for their own side and turn
00:26:42.020 conservatives as sort of the anti-canadian party you know it was it was the liberals that destroyed
00:26:50.760 this country that made it hard to be a patriot but it was still the conservatives that were
00:26:56.260 waving flags on parliament hill until they declared an emergency act and said this is too
00:27:01.760 much patriotism you all have to go home i'm not going to be like i don't have a globe and mail
00:27:07.080 subscription i canceled it so i haven't read that drivel but i'm not going to be lectured by
00:27:11.400 Andrew Coyne on how to be a patriot. The liberals have fundamentally changed what this country is.
00:27:19.920 I'm a patriot to Canada from what it was back in the 1900s. That's what I believe in. I believe in
00:27:27.320 a country where you help your neighbor, where you can build a business and thrive, where you can go
00:27:34.800 to the grocery store without being stabbed, where you can go to a hockey rink without being tasered
00:27:39.440 by police officers the liberals and jason kenney uh was the one overseeing those changes so uh
00:27:48.720 you know i i'm a patriot it's not owned by one political party it's a belief that this country
00:27:56.160 is worth fighting for and i think that it is to some degree uh despite what the liberals and
00:28:04.000 And liberal lights have done to it. And Andrew Coyne is certainly not the arbiter of who is and who is not a patriot.
00:28:12.800 What was your reaction, Mario, to that column that basically set everyone off on a debate?
00:28:20.840 Honestly, I just rolled my eyes. It's just the thing with Andrew is he's at least consistent.
00:28:27.940 and he's consistent in uh his ongoing attacks against conservatives you know he might have the
00:28:35.300 odd shining moment where there literally is no other choice other than to criticize the government
00:28:39.720 for blatant failures but honestly it's just it i didn't pay too much attention to it to be honest
00:28:46.340 i saw the title i'd like kian said i don't have a subscription to it i don't care to have one
00:28:50.940 for the globe and mail because i put them in the same bucket as the toronto star
00:28:54.760 I don't care to read their content
00:28:56.840 I saw the titles
00:28:57.720 I saw people getting upset about it
00:28:59.260 it's just one of those things
00:29:00.580 when you know enough
00:29:02.160 of what we all know
00:29:03.960 you just look at it and laugh
00:29:05.520 and it's a joke
00:29:06.120 guys we'll wrap it up there
