Where would Canadians be without the sanctimony of the Liberals to tell us how to act as we watch them do anything but? Oh hypocrisy, thy name is Liberal. Whether it s the Prime Minister clucking his tongue and raising the carbon tax on a country hurting economically from the coronavirus pandemic, or the Environment Minister Catherine McKinnon ringing up over $100,000 in taxi charges alone in the Ottawa area?

00:00:00.000 Where would Canadians be without the sanctimony of the Liberals to tell us how to act as we watch them do anything but? 0.99
00:00:12.560 Oh hypocrisy, thy name is Liberal. 0.90
00:00:15.860 Whether it's the Prime Minister clucking his tongue and raising the carbon tax on a country hurting economically from the coronavirus pandemic, 0.93
00:00:23.680 or the Environment Minister Catherine McKinnon for her righteous tongue clucking, ringing up over $100,000 in taxi charges alone in the Ottawa area.
00:00:35.400 Then there was Trudeau using two separate campaign aircraft on the October 2019 election campaign.
00:00:42.020 One apparently for Trudeau and his entourage, and the butt-kissing media and their food and booze of course,
00:00:48.700 and the other, well, we don't know exactly what it was followed as it followed the lead aircraft around the country,
00:00:56.000 including on at least one occasion on a flight from Mirabelle Airport just north of Montreal to Pierre-Eliot Trudeau Airport in Dorval, Quebec,
00:01:03.980 a distance of about 40 miles.
00:01:07.320 Conservative leader Andrew Scheer joked during the leader's French debate that the second plane was for Trudeau's canoes and costume changes.
00:01:16.600 Reasonable line.
00:01:17.500 And all the while telling us that the carbon tax was for our own good to battle climate change,
00:01:23.780 itself a fabrication of the liberal's mind.
00:01:28.100 Then this week, the Prime Minister had a temerity to say he might have to cancel Christmas, of all things.
00:01:35.640 Remember when we were told we just had a lockdown for a fortnight to flatten the curve,
00:01:41.460 to allow hospitals to get ready for the pandemic?
00:01:44.420 Trudeau went into hiding in Rideau Cottage, emerging like a groundhog once a day to address the sycophantic media.
00:01:51.860 Then he proceeded to grab power and suspend Parliament before proroguing it to kill any investigations into the We Scandal,
00:02:02.140 still a festering sore for this open and transparent government.
00:02:06.440 Now he's threatening to shut down the country and cancel Christmas while still allowing foreigners to fly in and move around the country at will.
00:02:18.220 The only people being restricted are Canadians.
00:02:20.720 I don't know where he thinks he gets the authority to do any of that, but you must all do as he says, pay no attention to what he does.
00:02:29.900 And then this week, the Toronto Sun broke the story that Heritage Minister Stephen Gilbell,
00:02:37.140 the oh-so-politically-correct-environmentalist,
00:02:40.640 is using a chauffeur-driven limousine to travel back and forth from his riding for meetings.
00:02:46.420 He has never owned a car and primarily used a bicycle to get around.
00:02:50.960 He was a member of Greenpeace and used to partake in blockading gas stations to prevent commuters from filling up to get to work,
00:03:01.400 a foreign concept for the likes of him who never held a job.
00:03:06.480 He even took part in a protest where he and another Greenpeace activist
00:03:10.700 climbed the CN Tower in Toronto in July of 2001
00:03:16.060 to hang a banner that read, quote, Canada and Bush, climate killers, unquote.
00:03:22.220 In fairness, on my part, my favourite photo of that event was Gilbo 0.83
00:03:26.160 in an orange jumpsuit being perp-walked away from the tower in handcuffs by Toronto police.
00:03:33.280 As an MP, he gets free travel on Via Rail,
00:03:36.800 which has multiple departures a day between Ottawa and Montreal.
00:03:41.040 Instead, he uses his chauffeur-driven, taxpayer-funded LUMO
00:03:46.060 to move back and forth between those two cities.
00:03:49.860 He's never owned a car until after he was appointed to Executive Council on November 20th of 2019.
00:03:58.040 Then he took to it like a duck to water,
00:04:01.240 using twice the monthly kilometres travelled by the average Canadian family on a monthly basis.
00:04:07.000 For True North, I'm Leo Knight.
